although it seems like a former formule1 it was much cleanier and brighter the direction for this hotel could be misleading as the hotel is situated on the village outskirts unfortunatly we did not approach from that direction the satnav took us to centre ville there were no signs as expected from other chains
This is a wonderful place for a weekend stay. We stayed for one night while travelling back from holiday in South East France. The setting is lovely, very relaxing sitting on the terrace watching the golfers trying to avoid the lake! Had a very good meal in the restaurant and there was an excellent choice in the breakfast buffet the following morning. Would definitely return if in the area again.
The location on a golf coiurse was very good, but not well signposted, unusual for France! The food let down the hotel, it was poorly cooked and did not come with any extra vegetables other than the one accompanying veg.
The staff and general comfort of the hotel Only the directions to it
The location on a beautiful golf course and the view from our room. The food in the restaurant was disappointing. The mattress on the bed was also quite hard and uncomfortable.
Nice atmosphere No greenfee offers for guests
We got lost in Montelimar and were so glad to finally make it to Chateau Hotel Du Monard. The welcome was friendly and our room pleasant with a nice view. The "castle tower" is more of a decoration but is very cute and lends atmosphere. We did not play golf but the golf course looked gorgeous as we drove through it. We ate both on the terrace and in the dining room and found the food reasonable though not gourmet. The hotel gave easy access for exploring the Cotes du Rhone. We would recommend it to friends. The only things we did not like were the cost of playing nine holes of golf and my food (braised lamb shank) the first night we were there was undercooked, tough and not hot. All the other food was OK and they were very busy that night after a golf tournament. We felt we could have been supplied with more than one tiny piece of soap for a two day stay and the kleenexes could have been replaced.
Wonderful setting for dining - overlooking golf course. Good menus.
The swimming pool is very nice and the rooms are spacious but a bit average. The restaurant serves nice food. We did not like the motorway to be in sight. We think the word chateau is misleading as there is nothing like that around. Price/quality is not right. We have stayed in better hotels this holiday at a lower rate.
The food was good
Decor was whimsical, with great attention given to making each room feel like a different country, right down to the shower tiles and mugs in the well-equipped kitchenettes. And the staff were attentive, generous, English-speaking, and knowledgable about the countryside. It is off the beaten path so took driving time to get to tourist spots like Avignon.
Perfect ! hôtel with innovative décoration , quiet with nice garden pool
Great and thoughtful design of each apartment. Ours even comes with a Bosch dishwasher. Wonderful and tranquil location for us after a whole day road trip. nothing
The hotel is verry speciel with nice rooms and nice suraundings
great large space, easy access, lots of electrical outlets, very nice hotel, thanks they asked if we wanted breakfast and didn't say there was a charge and we said sure, until it showed up on the bill, when it was too late. (And we were off to a conference so we didn't really need coffee or carbohydrates!) So just a reminder, always ask everywhere
Private parking, large appartment with separate bedroom.Every appartment has individual design, fully equipped kitchen. Nothing , but our appartment wasn't clean enough.
A great quirky place. Will definitely go again.
The room was fantastic, as were the staff. Incredible value for money. I would definately recommend this hotel. Nothing at all.
Food at arrival late in the evening
Not to be missed! Warm friendly greeting and eight wonderfully decorated large comfortable rooms (we stayed in 'Japan'). Situated in the calm of the country yet just minutes off the autoroute and at a great rate. Thank you Valsoyo for a memorable stay.
Good atmosphere. Lovely views. Charming village.
Beautiful location but still convenient for autoroute Restaurant not open on Monday evenings !!
Very comfortable, nice ambience, very quiet and felt welcome. The food was excellent.
Very peaceful and lovely views - wonderful to have a room that is not a box on top of a box! Would go again.
Breakfast was OK. We were not charged for booking out early. Hotel was shut until 3pm when we arrived despite the confirmation stating we could check in at 1pm. No apology offered.Room was very small and bathroom was so small you could barely stand up. Bed uncomfortable, TV not working on many channels, restaurant menu sounded nice but was badly delivered. We checked out a day early.
Quite hard to find especially in the dark website said it was only 5 mins from motorway but it was much further than that Very pretty on arrival restaurant was busy which is always a good sign When we arrived we were told our room had been upgraded but what they did not tell us was a lampost outside our bedroom window was on all night and we had muslin for curtains pretty but useless.
Charming village location excellent friendly staff Bathroom could have been a little better
On our way to the cote d'azur is was a marvelous location to relax .It is a very quiet village and very romantic. The dinner in the garden was very cosy. The view from the room was really marvelous. .
The location is magnificent. The restaurant is excellent. The room was comfortable and we would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was very basic for euro 12.50.
The location of the hotel is very picturesque and the staff were flexible with breakfast requests. Reception staff were very helpful. The room was very cramped with an additional bed, which was not of adequate size for a person in excess of 5'. There was no airconditioning and when the windows were opened we were joined by 2 bats(chauve souris) causing much mirth and anguish at the same time!!
The setting was incredibly beautiful
We liked the quiet location and the ambience of the medieval village. It was relaxing to walk around the buildings and surrounding countryside as well as enjoy the fine dining at the restuarant in the evening. Only a small suggestion to improve the signage to the property as we found it difficult locating the place.
Great Hotel. Wished we could have stayed longer. Our room opened out onto a patio overlooking the pool. Be sure to have dinner. Food was excellent. And breakfast served on the rooftop terrace was very tasty.
The ambiance and location, we had a suite with a walk out garden, really good, access a little hard for less mobile people. Thought the breakfast was a little below standard.
This was our second visit - charming atmosphere, excellent food, nice swimming pool, wonderful view from roof top where breakfast and dinner are served in summer. Interesting pretty mediaeval village to explore. Very enjoyable stay.
The drive to the location and arrival at the location and the walkout suite to the grassed garden. Breakfast a bit meager for Canadians
Beautiful location, lovely village, excellent terrace restaurant. Very pleasant, helpful staff. As there was no a/c, probably rarely needed anyway, a fan would have been good on very hot night - none available.
Rooms individually furnished with antique French furniture. Superb meal in the restaurant and extensive wine list to suit all budgets. ( The sparkling wine was particularly good value )
Lovely location in an old building with character, in a charming 'village perche'. Very efficient staff who found us a room even though our internet booking had been lost. Good breakfast None with the hotel. Our Internet booking appeard to have not got through but this was not a problem as their was a room available.
Very kind and helpfull staff - special thanks for help in reservation of tables in very nice restaurants. Nice, quiet, clean and warm rooms in a charming old village. No wardrobe in the room. This was ok for two nights but could be inconvenient if you stayed longer.
The hotel decor was tasteful, minimalist and very definitely for those that are looking for peace and tranquility. The room was excellent, the bed comfortable and the bathroom luxurious. Breakfast was simple but all very fresh.
Very clean, stylish hotel - a little on the minimalistic side. Room rather hot.
rustic and rural setting. Back to basics. Received a friendly reception and make very welcome. No bar / eating facility. Used the restaurant nearby
Ligging in het oude dorp Mirmande, dat is geklassificeerd als een van de mooiste dorpen in Frankrijk. Prima restaurant naast het hotel.
A lovely provencal restaurant just right next door Cheap is as cheap does
It was what we expected from a motorway hotel, clean rooms and bathroom. Nothing to complain about, suited for the purpose.
The only thing we missed was a internet connection
Very clean and adequate Nothing
goed hotel om te overnachten voor een doorreis het ontbijt mag wel iets beter
Clean sheets and fair breakfast for the price. Very small room, not appropriate for big people. The wc flush did not work very well.
Good price/service rate & clean rooms. Easy to find. Small rooms, small bath.
Mme was extremely kind and helpful. Staff were happy. There was air conditioning!!
Easyway of checking in Breakfast might have been a little bit beter, in the room I had, had been smoking
Friendly staff, easy to find although the directions given were not correct Too small, bathroon a joke
