With a stay at Les Ateliers du Cucheron in Saint-Pierre-d'Entremont, you'll be a 1-minute drive from Chartreuse National Park and 8 minutes from Grande Chartreuse Monastery. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It was very warm, homely and welcoming. The hotel is run by a family of 6 and a dog which are lovely. They are very easygoing and they really let you be a part of their home and daily life. The breakfast was good and the room was great and the hotel as a whole had a lot of character and style.
Cons: Due to the hotel being far away from the local amenities I feel they would benefit from things such as a kettle/vending machine/minibar/fridge in the room or living room so you can self-cater. Also it would be handy to have the option to have the confirmation email sent to you in english, as because of this we did not know to book the hottub 24hrs in advance. All and all it was a great stay and would definitely go again and recommend.
Pros: Jerome welcomed us into his lovely home and served a delicious evening meal and a fantastic breakfast. After dinner we felt at home sitting in the comfortable lounge area. A very relaxing place to stay.
Pros: Beautiful place and very welcoming owners. Room was just excellent. All the property is done to make you comfortable. Silence and nature around. We will come back there for sure.
Pros: Really friendly owners!! We had a nice discussion in English, about the area and other things! Room was tiny, comfortable, with the BEST bed, I really slept well. Breakfast was nice and hiking routes start from the back yard.
Pros: Nice, cozy room was exactly like on photo. Free of charge parking on the opposite side of the road. The picturesque hiking route starts right from the entrance of the hotel.
Cons: There was no hairdryer in the room. Breakfast was tasty, but quite modest: baguettes, croissants, jam, juice, tea/coffee + yoghurt though by the second breakfast they ran out of it. For some reason we were refused to have a dinner at the hotel even though we asked for it in advance.
Pros: Great people who tended to all my needs and the place was perfect for my needs
Pros: Excellent location , friendly and very helpful hosts , delicious food.
Cons: Breakfast is nice but very limited (Coffee, Rolls, butter, Jam and Yogurt)
With a stay at HOTEL LE BEAU SITE in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse, you'll be a 1-minute drive from Chartreuse National Park and 5 minutes from Grande Chartreuse Monastery. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: This hotel offers excellent value for money. We got a very nice room at the corner of the building with two windows with mountain view. Located at the edge of the village. Outstanding location as a starting point for hikes in the Chartreuse mountains. The hotel did not provide dinner (only for guests in demi-pension) but we had an excellent meal at Le Malissard, c 500m from the hotel (reservation is recommended). The breakfast was excellent.
Pros: Great breakfast. Amazing view.
Pros: We liked the friendly welcome, the bike storage, the balcony room with a view, the breakfast . Will try the swimming pool next time.
Pros: The view is gorgeous and a beautiful place to sit and eat breakfast.
Pros: Breakfast = Not consumed Location = Right in the center of a picturesque mountain village. Public Parking right across street. All surrounded by a spectacular mountain panorama.
Pros: Good location, great view. Nice staff & comfortable room
Cons: Bar & other facilities shut v early. Hotel all closed up when we came back at 9
8.7 Excellent (424 reviews)
See hotel page 5 minutes from the centre of Grenoble, The Originals Boutique, Hotel Les Trois Roses, Grenoble Meylan is open 24 hours a day. It is located in the quiet, residential area of Corenc. Its easily recognizable faade is the cover to a warm and cosy 50-room property. Maintained by Tuyet Artaz and her friendly teams, this hotel is suitable for everyone (families, professionals, etc.). The Isre hotel has a gym, seminar rooms and ample free parking.
Pros: Room was big and confortable, king size bed, clean.
Cons: Very noisy in the morning, it was not the hotel customers but the cleaning staff that were chatting very loudly. Impossible to sleep after 8.30-9. This hotel is definitely not a place to relax on vacations, it is more like a business hotel.
Pros: The stuff is amazing
Pros: Sufficient parking space, Mattress was good.
Cons: Noisy, small room, window and door don’t close tight enough, let noise pass. You hear all noise from both outsides, hallway and street. At 23:30h a lady was steam ironing her shirt in the hallway. Noise was as if it was in the room. Only partially renovated. Black mold in in corners in bathroom and in room at window side. Mosquitoes slip through slits in window. Dirty balcony. I asked to change, was refused. Was booked out, they said. I only booked premium room, Front Desk Manager said I should have book de luxe room. Money refund was rejected when I asked to leave. A couple hours later, at 8 p.m., Hotel Manager asked me to leave ... was too late. She was concerned by a unfavorable rating, she said. Ran out of time, so I had to stay. Won't come back agian.
Pros: Stopped over on the way back to the UK. Lovely quiet hotel. Lots of parking. We had adjoining rooms for 4 of us. Both were very comfortable.
Cons: Bathroom in one of the rooms was just a bath, with a shower in it. Could do with be redone with a proper shower cubicle. Was quite far from the centre of town.
Pros: Staff were very friendly and professional.
Cons: Room was stuffy and smelled odd - lack of airing.
Pros: Exceptional breakfast in a fantastic living /dining room with exceptional panorma view
Pros: Breakfast simply amazing. nearly everything all made, and probably the best coffe you can get in France :-) Location is good if you want stay "calm" and go for a run
Pros: The Breakfast was amazing and the location was beautiful! The host were very welcoming & had good knowledge about the places to visit in the surrounding areas.
Cons: Was difficult to find the location initially, a bit more information / placards to show direction would be helpful!
Pros: Maurice is the best host! So helpful and kind person. The room is nice, comfort and clean and the location is great. Very nice breakfast with homemade jam and cheese (made by Maurice) We sure will come back when arrive at the area again
Pros: I cannot rate this B+B highly enough, not the owner Maurice who is perfectly charming. The location and premises are beautiful and I want to buy the place!! It’s that good. Breakfast was all home made and served in the garden overlooking the mountains. I can’t wait to come back Thank you
With a stay at Le ValOmbre in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse, you'll be in the mountains, steps from Chartreuse National Park and a 4-minute drive from Grande Chartreuse Monastery. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Excellent location with walking routes starting from right outside the front door. The property was clean and comfortable with a fresh breakfast everyday.
Pros: Very beautiful property. Rooms are clean and very confortable. The owners are very professionals and they waited to welcome me in the middle of the night with a smile. Breakfast is beyond expectations. The feel of home.
Pros: Very charming rooms. Warm and cozy.
Pros: Great host, good food, wonderful location, very enjoyable stay.
Pros: Quick answer. We really were ecpected Very good breakfast with warm croissants Lovely quiet place and a lot of space (we were the only guests) nicely decorated. Funny, he whistled so we heard him coming up.
Pros: The environs for kilometers are simply breath-taking, yet breakfast was just OK. Croissant and bread were either homemade or local-- perhaps a little over-cooked for our liking. Proprietor was fine, but he never introduced himself (nor asked our names) and we had to call his mobile phone as we arrived about 15 minutes prior to 5pm, and we had told him between 5 and 6pm; his response to us over the phone and in person was a curt "You're early!" We waited 30-minutes for his arrival, in a messy patio area, which we worried might be for guests-- thankfully it was not. Bedrooms and bathrooms were overall very clean. WIFI is appreciated!
Cons: In terms of breakfast negatives, the coffee wasn't great, all the toppings offered were store-bought and when opening a pot of confiture, I found mold all over the top...not appetizing! Bedroom was very hot at night with only a door to a shared patio that could be opened, not allowing for any cross-breeze or privacy and the bed itself was very, very firm. Some other guests mentioned they slept outside instead...I will admit, I considered it myself. Bathroom linens smelled somewhat odd-- perhaps like they hadn't been dried enough before folding. The outside gardens were quite un-kept and the property itself was hard to find. A tiny sign was down on the road coming from the Museum of Grand Chartreuse, but none in the other direction. The very narrow road leading up to the inn was very steep and the only sign visible from the road was for private parking...the actual name Val'Ombre was hidden by overgrown grass. We literally pulled out our reservation confirmation to compare each house along the road to see if it matched the properties in front of us until we found it, then realized the parking sign had Val'Ombre written across the bottom among the brush. Overall, it seems that the property has much potential, but attention to detail perhaps has wained over the years as most reviews from 3-8 years ago were incredibly positive.
Pros: Amazing view friendly host
Cons: A little difficult to find

Cons: No English channels
Pros: Great value for money. Bigger room and bathroom than what we expected for the price we paid. Shopping centre next door, quite handy!
Pros: Clean comfortable room.well stocked bar/restaurant.Great Staff .Ideal Location.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was Perfect
Pros: Plaine Fleurie bus stop for buses into town is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Carrefour supermarket is across the road. Bakery beside the hotel if you need coffee and a pastry. The man on reception was polite and spoke good English.
Cons: Arrived at 4pm to be told our room was not ready; had to hang around for a further two hours. Roadworks right outside the hotel made it a chore to reach the entrance. We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment. This is a budget motel by the side of a motorway. The pictures on the website make it look much nicer than it really is. Planned to stay three days but left after one.
