Featuring an on site restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, and free Wi-Fi, Casa das Augas Santas is located in Augas Santas, a 5-minute drive from Ourense. This guest house offers heated double bedrooms with private bathroom including a bath tub, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Some rooms have a balcony, and all have a seating area with a sofa. Towels and bed linen are included. The restaurant serves traditional Spanish cuisine, and there is a shared lounge with a fireplace and TV where guests may relax. There is also a garden with barbecue facilities. Casa das Augas Santas is situated in a tranquil location and surrounded by chestnut woods. Vigo and the coast is 120 km away, and you can drive to Santiago de Compostela in a little over an hour.
Pros: Wonderful location and wonderful hostess. Marina serves a great breakfast and also prepared a delicious dinner for us in response to our special request. We have stayed with Marina several times in the past and always make it a point to schedule a stop here whenever our travels take us to Galicia. Augas Santas is a tiny village that seems lost in time, and wandering its streets is like stepping back into the Middle Ages. Ancient Celtic & Roman ruins are located in the forest outside the Village, along with a misterios underground church that was used by Templar Knights, whose symbols are found in the church. However, these underground rooms date from pre-Roman times when the area was occupied by an early Celtic civilization. Ask Marina about the legend of Santa Marina and this underground shrine, and the sacred fountains that give the town its name. Augas Santas is a perfect place to escape for a relaxing holiday, but Allariz is also only a short drive away, and offers excellent shops and restaurants .
Cons: We liked everything about this delightful Spanish B&B. There is nothing to not like!!!
Pros: The facilities are spotless and very comfortable, and the location in a tiny, historic village is perfect for relaxing, peaceful walks with great views, and for exploring nearby Roman ruins hidden away in the nearby forest. It is also close to the Camino de Santiago Ruta de Plata, and is ideally situated for day trips to many of the most popular destinations in both central Galicia and the Rias Baixes. But the best part of staying with Marina at Casa de Augas Santas is Marina herself. She is a delightful hostess who does her best to ensure that guests enjoy their stay, and she also serves a wonderful breakfast. My wife & I are frequent visitors to Spain and make it a point to include a stop here whenever we visit Galicia.
Cons: Perfect accomodation in wonderful decorated old stone house. Amazing views above the valley to ourense. Very quite atmosphere. One of the best diner and breakfast on my way to santiago.
Pros: This medieval inn was one of the most beautiful places I have stayed. The breakfast was great and the location could not have been better! A great host who directed us to a few local attractions. I will be back!
Pros: Authentic hospitality and friendliness
Pros: Breakfast and dinner were excellent - our hostess, Marina, is an excellent cook - we have been staying at Auguas Santa at various times over 6 or 7 years and have always been very pleased - with the location, house,, food and especially with Marina!
Pros: Loved the little village, unchanged since c15c including Marina’s house which has been in her family for ever! Interesting walks nearby on the Camino and other tracks with ancient ruins and underground church. Marina was a charming host and cooked us a very delicious meal. Alleriz is about 10mins away and well worth a visit
Cons: Room a bit small and we didnt like the bolster, but that’s an acquired taste!
Pros: The owner was very helpful, she provided an evening meal so that we didn't need to go out again that evening.
Cons: The problem finding the property after a tiring day driving.
Pros: The owners were so warm and welcoming, as was their beautiful home. I needed a rest and could not have found a better place. Serene and in a beautiful location. Mariña is a fabulous cook and a magnificent host. I will be back!!
Cons: Flawless..it was simply perfect and just what my body needed
Pros: Fantastic host, Marina, beautiful house, so quaint, clean, & beautiful. Lovely comfortable room, all facilities there. What a wonderful village, so old & interesting. Marina Served a beautiful breakfast. Can't fault anything.

Cons: loud guests (workers) in other rooms
Pros: The owner was super friendly and gave a lot of info. “Mi casa es tu casa” And what to think about the small cascades at 5’ walk in the country side?!? Very relaxing.
Pros: Quiet clean nice view out the window...
Pros: Amazing host and the comfort of the room far exceeded our expectations. Very generous host and exceptionally clean room.
Pros: All good.
Pros: Great and clean accomodation. Nice basic “self-service” pension.
Pros: Pure luxury for us on the Camino! Beautiful room, great shower, kitchen we could use and free (and so good!) breakfast. The owner is just lovely. So kind and helpfull.
Cons: The heating seemed to turn off in the night.
Pros: Our host was amazing! So genuinely kind and seemed to love what she was doing. A great place to stay, highly recommend!
Pros: Our host was super kind, generous and made sure we had a wonderful stay. The room was very comfortable and had a great view. The complimentary breakfast was unexpected and delicious. Overall, we felt fully rested and recharged to complete our Camino.
Cons: Leaving :(
Pros: Comfortable, modern room; laundry facilities; small kitchenettes in common areas; self-serve breakfast; and most of all, the hostess, Conchi (sp?). Conchi was an angel to me, personally treating my blisters, helping me with my laundry, and going over and above in every way! One of the best experiences on my Camino.
Cons: I liked everything!
Pros: Everything was just perfect. Without any doubt a place to visit again.
Pros: This charming countryside house has been decorated and made taking care of each detail, it has that countryside look, wood and stone everywhere but it also has a modern touch. Clean and confortable rooms and the staff in this case Zoram was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was one of the best I had in a hotel of this category and included in the price. Without a doubt, we couldn’t have ended up in a better place.
Pros: The staff was very friendly, spoke excellent english and were very helpfull overall!
Pros: The bedroom and the living room
Cons: Far from everywhere
Pros: Sara and Zoran, amazing hosts who went out of their way for us. Thank you. Excellent dinner A very tastfully renovated old family farmhouse with great character.

Pros: Comfortable bed Stone walls Environment
Cons: Room table
Pros: Charming room in a friendly hotel and the town itself is lovely.
Cons: As others have mentioned, walls were thin so we could hear other rooms showers etc. Everyone was considerate though, no early risers!
Pros: Excellent location, beautiful little hotel with very nice staff.
Cons: Walls a bit thin so you could hear the noise from other rooms or outside.
Pros: The hotel is place in the town center, walking to everything.
Cons: The bed in our room was too small for two people, aroun 135x190cm.
Pros: Location and clean
Cons: Nice, in the heart of the old town.
Pros: Great location: clean, helpful staff.
Pros: This is our fourth stay at this hotel, so that pretty much says it all!
Pros: Clean room location perfect for our group

Pros: Spacious, modern, light room with a grand bed, shutters and an amazing bathroom. All very stylish and comfortable. It was wonderfully quiet and peaceful.
Cons: The spa was a big pool with different jets. There was a sauna and a steambath but no cold shower, just a sink with ice. I like my wellness to be more of a zen experience than a pool outing. You need flip-flops and a swimmingcap. They sell both for 5 euros.
Pros: Absolutely everything and a wonderful staff.
Pros: Walking distance to center town along the river. Quietness.
Cons: Nothing I could think of.
Pros: Very friendly helpful staff, spa facilities excellent.
Pros: Beautiful room
Cons: Pillows are awful. Robe was torn .
Pros: Berdoom, location, breakfast....
Pros: The staff was really friendly and helpful. The SPA is rather good and the surrounding are lovely. The restaurants in the town are very good. Nothing to regret about expending a weekend here.
Cons: Everything was above our expectations
Pros: The view! Super peaceful
Cons: Road sign missing
Pros: The hotel is very modern, clean, with a wonderful SPA and all the confort. It's located in a wonderful place and Allariz is simply magic, with interesting things to see and good restaurants. We really enjoy our staying!
Cons: We forgot in our room our mascotte, one little pig... nothing precious but we contact the staff the same day, asking them to ship it to Italy, and offering to pay all the fees with our credit card. They answer sorry they don't ship outside of Spain. We think that one elegant and classy hotel like the Oca Vila can't answer this: we are inside Europe anyway and a small pack shipping should be very simple, if requested and paid by the guest. What do we have do in case of an expensive missing?
Located in Maceda, Monumento Castelo de Maceda is in the historical district, within a 15-minute drive of Santuario de los Milagros and Arnuide Roman Bridge. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Located in Verín, A Morada do Cigarron is within a 5-minute drive of Praza do Concello and Monterrei Castle. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Clean, confortable.
Cons: All good. No problems. No lift.
Pros: Great location, just off the main square in the old town. Room was simple and clean. Wi-fi was fast and uncomplicated. Coupon for basic breakfast at a nearby cafe.
Cons: No double bed, although advertised. No air co, unhappy breakfast.
Pros: The hotelier is very friendly. He even saw that the gear cable of our bicycle almost was worn out and helped us finding a bicycle repair shop, so that we good continue our Camino. Wonderful!
Pros: Spacious room and bathroom, very well refurbished and maintained, silent because of double glazing, located in the centre.
Cons: Wifi kept dropping out. Breakfast is very simple: coffee or tea with 2 slices of toast with butter/jam, and a tiny glass of orange juice. Parking is at some distance, but not really a problem.
Pros: A convenient place to stay in Verin at a great price. The host is very helpful, but doesn't speak English.
Cons: The side street can be noisy at night. Suggest you ask for a room off the street.
Pros: The central location looked good on paper but proved to be a mistake when the noisier element were out around 3a.m.
Cons: It was very noisy and although rated 8.6 it wasn't available to check into at the hours stated and the bed was very hard.
Pros: An exceptional value for money. The sr. in the reception was fantastic, super friendly, explained the places to visit, where to eat depending of what we are looking for.
Pros: Confort, cleanliness, location, contact prior to arrival. Rooms are cosy and warm (at this time of the year it is very welcome). Fantastic value for money.
Cons: The only setback is having to take breakfast out, but it's either 10 meters across the pedestrian street, or, in the second option, 15 seconds away. A little indoor noise.
Pros: Small but clean room. Pretty much got what we paid for. Friendly and enthusiastic operator. Not much English. But.......
Cons: On a busy square with several very late night bars with music. Again, pretty much got what we paid for........
When you stay at Casa Rural Vilaboa in Allariz, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Leather Museum. This guesthouse has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The building was very interesting, the garden was nice, the room was a good size and the bed was great. Food in the restaurant was good.
Cons: The room obviously hadn't been checked before we entered it as there was an old packet of biscuits in the side table, an old bit of sticking plaster and a cotton bud in the bedside drawer and it could have done with a bit of a dust. Some of the glasses in the restaurant needed a better clean in the dishwasher.
Pros: Amazingly warm welcome from our hosts, they did everything to make us feel at home, including making special meals for my sick friend on their own initiative. The 500-year-old house has been lovingly restored. Warmly recommended.
With a stay at Parador Castillo De Monterrei in Monterrei, you'll be steps from Monterrei Castle and a 4-minute drive from Praza do Concello. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The beautiful historic property and the lovely breakfast. Nice room decor.
Cons: The restaurant was a bit cold at night, as was the room. The road up to the hotel was impossible to navigate (construction detours). This place could be perfect if they worked out some of the kinks.
Pros: Fabulous restoration of heritage building, stunning location.
Cons: slightly disappointed we didn’t get a room with a view although our room was comfortable. Restaurant dinner menu and breakfast fairly limited.
Pros: With all else faultless, the persistently very unreliable wifi here throughout my 48-hour stay seemed a needlessly outstandingly bad aspect of my stay. Sorting this should be easilly achievable and I would reccommend wasting no time in doing so.
Cons: Persistently unreliable wifi connection/service.
Pros: The location is lovely. The dinner was excellent, in spite of the totally unatmospheric restaurant.
Cons: I had booked this property months ago. I was given a room without a view and very dark. The Parador Nacipnal de Vérin, right down the road, is a better option. You can then walk to this castle and enjoy its views.
Pros: The place is gorgeous. Rooms are confortable and the view of the valley is perfect. We would repeat for sure!!!!
Cons: It is a shame that other properties around the castle are not recovered. It would be a nice place for small restaurants or shops.
Cons: The WIFI system is not stable..! You need to reconnect many times!!
Pros: Fatabulous castle in beautiful wild flower filled countryside
Cons: The temperature was 31 degrees yet the hotel had not turn d on its air con; so our bedroom was uncomfortably hot for a good sleep
Pros: Spacious room and outdoor terrace. Location overlooking a beautiful valley.
Cons: It is set apart from the town so you are a captive guest in some ways. Driving on the road to parador at night would not be recommended.
Pros: Beautiful location Hotel is a converted castle Lovely
Situated in Monterrei, this golf hotel is within 1 mi (2 km) of Monterrei Castle and Praza do Concello. Ladairo Winery is 5.8 mi (9.3 km) away.
Pros: Quiet location, comfortable rooms. Large beds. Friendly helpful staff throughout. Excellent food at reasonable price for the quality of cooking and service. Good swimming pool too. Superb views over the valleys, mountains and plains. The castle was spectacular lit up at night.
Cons: Nothing to complain about. All good
Pros: The location of property excellent with fabulous views. Nice old building
Cons: Rooms particularly bathroom tired. Food really odd can’t recommend dinner although breakfast ok
Pros: The location was stunning, staff were helpful, good position for travelling.
Cons: Decor and facilities very tired,.Although an effort had been made to provide mobility aids, the bathroom was too small to use them. The swimming pool area had no pathway access for me as disabled.
Pros: Service was very helpful and extremely friendly.
Pros: Lovely location with nice light airy room with beautiful views.Good meal in restaurant.Interesting castle a few minutes walk also at top of hill .Tour in Spanish when we were there and started earlier than stated.
Cons: Swimming pool not yet open and lawn been reseeded so not possible to walk on grass. Poor positioning of children’s play area partially obscured view from dining room .
Pros: Beautiful countyside and views
Cons: Very isolated but other parador would have had more ambience
Pros: Location if you are happy to dine in. Beautifully kept /restored old building. Swimming pool. Dining room. Lounge
Cons: Very quiet dining room.
Pros: Really butifull location! Nice rooms, great atmosfere.
Cons: We stayed here for a wedding nearby, so it was just to crash.
Pros: Great location next to a castle.
Cons: Rooms were small. A/C didn’t cool well
Pros: Very pleasant staff in restaurant served an excellent meal
Cons: No tea making facilities or fridge in room Credit card machines clearly very flaky - they had 2, neither of which appeared to work on cards used everywhere else in Spain. We had to pay cash (don't know what would have happened if we had not had sufficient) but no apologies for what is obviously a frequent problem

Planning an event in Sarreaus? This country house has facilities measuring 1076 square feet (100.00 square meters), including conference space. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The lovely tranquil setting. I arrived far too early to book in, but I was made very welcome. In the evening I had a problem with my iPhone, Carlos the owner helped me and he didn’t give up until the phone was sorted out. I told him, that I will get the phone issue sorted out in Ourense, but he was determined that he will fix it. It was not a quick job, it took some part of the evening. Thank you Carlos. Highly recommend place to visit if you like to be off and away from the busy life and to be at nature.
When you stay at Torre Lombarda in Allariz, you'll be 3 minutes by foot from Leather Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Everything about this beautiful place. This old tannery building is stunning unusual and full of history. Monica is delightful and very helpful ,with our pigeon Spanish and a translating app we managed to communicate well. Ramon provided a wonderful breakfast with no fuss. Easy walk to the river within a few steps and a couple of restaurants. We ate across the river at another old tannery and museum as the eatery on the same side by the river does not accept dogs and wasn’t doing food on Monday evening. Easy walk to the old town and all it’s charm. Would like be to return to Allariz one day and stay here again.
Pros: Staff was extraordinarily kind
Cons: The room was a little bit cold according to my partner... Good enough for me
Pros: Situation, possibility of parking, Staff and the place itself: reconverted tannery
Cons: Noisy floor and breakfast: a bit short.

Pros: the location, the staff was very kind and friendly... our towels were set on our beds in the form of swans <3
Cons: no lifts in the building (but staff helped us with our bags so no dramas!), the room facilities were very simple, but clean and you had what you needed for a short stay.
Pros: Super confy bed
Cons: I liked everything
Pros: Good food. Friendly lively atmosphere.
Pros: Very comfortable room to rest during your holidays. Nice owners, central location.
Located in Xinzo de Limia, Hotel Xinzo is within a 15-minute drive of San Salvador de Sarreaus Church and Sarreaus City Hall. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Cons: Very noisy, walls are very weak thus i could hear all guests coming in and out, TV, etc...
Pros: This was my second stay at the hotel. I was booked into a single room but was given a twin room which was lovely and spacious.
Pros: I liked almost everything, but the little lights in the bedroom and bathroom, during my sleep, pleased me very much.
Cons: I couldn't say honestly
Pros: They have a Bar downstairs
A stay at Hotel Villa de Verin places you in the heart of Verín, just a 3-minute walk from Praza do Concello and within a 5-minute drive of Monterrei Castle. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Great staff.
Pros: Very central position. There are no facilities at the hotel which we knew, but plenty of nice places right outside the door for both supper and breakfast. Comfy large bed, warm room and fridge. Job done for an overnight stay from Portugal.
Cons: The bathroom was a bit tired and cold. Water not very hot. When we arrived I was told that there was no parking, yet I never book a hotel without reserving parking so I was a bit shocked - the hotel is right in the centre of the main shopping area of town. However, when I pressed the receptionist, she took me underground and said there was one space which we could use. Phew, as there certainly isn't any on road parking!
Pros: Everything was great
Pros: Good location for an overnight stay, close to retaurants and shops.
Cons: Not the friendliest of staff at checkin.
Pros: The location
Cons: The neatness, the room smelled like someone had smoked there for a year. The sheets were dirty and the beds were too low for my dad to sit or stand up. The mattresses were old. No amenities.
Pros: Easy check in process with staff speaking sufficient English. We parked our car in the underground garage (just reserve in advance). The hotel has a lift but there are still a few steps to get up to it and it is quite small so if you have large luggage you may need to make two trips. The room was large with comfortable beds and a tv. The AC worked well.
Cons: The bathroom is in need of some slight maintenance- shower screen and toilet roll holder. However it didn’t impact our stay.
Pros: Very clean, modern room. 2 super size beds, extremely comfy, efficient heating / air conditioning system. Shower as well as (small) bath & bidet. Lift (we were on 3rd floor) was welcome. Quiet location despite being central. Extra €5 felt good value for secure parking underground. Great restaurant within 5 minutes walk and plenty of breakfast possibilities in same street.
Cons: Unfortunately neighbouring room played Tv loudly so we could hear it - not all night!
