The quiet surrounds, easy walking distance to shops, bars and eating places. Loved the hotel decor quite like boutique hotels back home. It was also no problem for the staff to open the kitchen early on our day of departure for breakfast.
Excellent fish Restaurant
Excellent restaurant. Fairly basic rooms but clean. Beds too soft
Very limited and expensive restaurant with no lighter meal options, image of the hotel looked good but the apartments are in need of referbishment.
Lovely setting, in the town of SAS van Gent. The hotel/ motel is made up of individual buildings dotted around a street. It had a bar and a restaurant with an outdoor seating area. We stayed in an apartment on the top floor of the old post office. It was extremely spacious with 2 bedrooms an kitchinette and jacuzzi hot tub. The light sensor in the bathroom kept turning the light off, unless you stood by the bathroom mirror, which was a pain when you were in the bath. The jacuzzi bath on off button wouldnt work properly.
Clean rooms, friendly staff None
+ very good restaurant + nice setting with rooms spread out in the city
Friendly staff, clean room. Breakfast is ok, but chaotic. We were called several times because the hotel was overbooked. They wanted us to change to a lower grade hotel.
Nothing special Very poorly decorated room. Needs urgent upgrade. No windows with sight
confortable bed, nice staff, calm breakfest
Situation on the front viewing the river
we always enjoy our stay, the staff are excellent, the food is always v.good. we preferred the old style dining room decor. However the staff seem very pleased with the new look.
great seaside views and good staff service
Quite comfortable for a family with a little child (necessary facilities available). Big rooms. Close to everything. Nice view. Helpful staff. Not very much adapted for people on wheelchairs (or for strollers). There are a few steps outside and no driveway. Breakfast, although very good, not impressive for a four star hotel. Expensive parking.
Friendly staff - happy to speak in english. Gave as much information as possiblke regarding local amenities etc N/A
Nice staff. Large and confortable room, enough space for the babycot. Children friendly. Good food at hotel restaurant. Room under roof was rather hot, fortunately air conditioning worked well.
Lots of space in bedroom and in hotel in general which made it easier to cope with a young baby Steps in front and at restaurant - not very convenient for prams or for physically handicapped people
Excellent view from room Good size room Hot breakfast was not available 3 out of 6 mornings
Central location for the town, good outlook to river.
Beautiful hotel, very clean, luxuous and quiet. The staff was pleasant and very helpfull. The location is good but not in front sea like i expected, it is more near a shore than the sea, but you are at dirty minutes from Vlissingen, a beautiful beach. Good value for money. The restaurant is excellent, delicious.
Easy parking hotel and room design, expensive Wi-Fi, area
All staff were very friendly and helpful which made the stay in the hotel pleasurable. I cannot fault the hotel in any way. It was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. No.
Value for money In general it is old-fashioned, though clean
fair price its location is not the best - especially with a room alongside a main road
convenient location for walking the dog in the morning someone had been smoking in a non-smoking room - hence the remark about cleanliness
Good value and a surprisingly good (though expensive) restaurant. Secure parking for motorcycles provided at no change. Broadband very expensive when most hotels off a free service. Breakfast also too expensive but a McDonalds nearby solved that problem.
Friendly staff It was a long way from the town centre, even though it is called the 'city hotel'
The hotel was overbooked - but a room was instead reserved at another hotel (Golden Tulip on the waterfront), which was fine with us. The hotel (Hampshire Inn City Terneuzen) was about 3 kms away from the Terneuzen waterfront/central area.
I had a good stay in Terneuzen, The hotel was clean and the food and atmosphere in the bar and restaraunt was very pleasant. The rooms are a little bit basic and could benefit from a little bit of a spruce up.
Helpful staff, great views, good food
I was there for just one night, however the room, the bathroom, the beds were very clean and comfortable nothing
small hotel, friendly atmosphere there was no hot water in the morning to take a shower.
Flexibility of staff at hotel to accommodate us after booking went 'missing'.
Superb view of passing ships, staff who knew their roles and carried them out to high standards.
Friendly Staff, Quiet Room Shower doors do not stay in place, causing the floor to become slippery. Shower doors cannot be closed, causing chilly conditions.
warm room, good breakfast TV did not work, the bathroom had broken shower screen and sink panel missing
Small room, no airco, too expensive for the location and the facilities. It took 2 hours to obtain a room key as the key management system failed. Only when we expressed our desire to cancel the reservation and find another hotel, we got a room within 5 minutes. Overall we got very disappointed.
Close to the city center, free parking area, very nice staff no
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Small bathroom and basic tv.
friendly hosts, family atmosphere
Location and staff
attentive staff and friendlyness stairs. one person in party was fairly disabled, so this was a problem which necesssitated us leaving a day early. it should be pointed out that there is no lift.
Homely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Large rooms, excellent location.
Very friendly staff make you feel at home. Visitors should expect a family hotel. Ideal for people needing a stopover for a walking or biking holiday. Restaurant next doors is recommended.
Easy access to town centre
Relaxing and calming location. Staff very helpful and attentive. Special and variated breakfast.Definitely the place to go to relax and reload the batteries.
Beautiful accommodation in a wonderful setting. Staff very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast. We would definitely recommend this guesthouse if you are visiting this area. It was our first stop on a tour of the Netherlands (an easy 2 hour drive from the ferry at Calais).
Clean rooms and very friendly staff (the owner). she was running the hotel by herself with a little help for the cleaning. She does a good job!!
friendly staff excellent breakfast
Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy and quick check-in / out. Nice location in a mainly residential area. Bathrooms a bit small and cramped.
A very friendly and amicable welcome, a comfortable and quietly situated stay made our 'flying' visit most enjoyable.
sehr gut beds were not too good
Small (20rooms) very clean & friendly the lady owner was very friendly & spoke excellent english, has own car park.
Staff was very friendly and professional, rooms were clean and nicely furnished, breakfast buffet was small but tasty. All in all a great experience!
Hotel staff was very pleasent, made you feel at home. The bed was too soft for my back
Friendly staff. Breakfast should be non-smoking!!!
We liked the converted building (an old convent attached to the church) and we liked the surrounding countryside which was great for a cycling holiday. The only downside was the proximity to heavy industry which was a bit smelly and was noisy at night. Stairs in convent building were very steep and would not suit those with a mobility problem.
Hotel staff was very friendly and nothing was too much for them! The room are spacious and very comfortable!
its location not far from Terneuzen The convent we stayed in is nice, would expect the rooms to have a warmer, more personal feeling, they are basic no charm. The bathroom is well equipped and new. The breakfast room is very cosy and the breakfast is basic but ok
Nice and quiet Missing internet connection.
Excellent food, good service plus convenient traffice
The hotel was clean the staff pleasant and for the short time we were there I could not find any serious faults
Hotel is very conveniently located. Good location. Friendly and efficient staff and comfortable. strongly recommended.
Clean, quiet, good breakfast, wifi access were all wonderful for my business trip
Kindness of the staff, good breakfast, tranquility of the place, the shower. Not many young people in the area.
perfect location, nice breakfast, rooms ok this hotel looks like it's always closed, no staff, ancient PC without internet access, etc
Location and friendly helpful staff None
It was simply one of the best B&B I have been to. Spaciousand and stylish room. Very clean. Wonderfull host. Really good breakfast. Real Zeeland countryside location. A gem. I had to leave.
The room was spacious and wonderfully decorated. It is located in a remote area so the night could not have been more quiet. The owner is adorable and her breakfast is marvellous but way too much :). Hope to go back there with my partner next time, such a romantic place!
The ambience of 'Bed & Breakfast de Kienstee' immediately came through of a country setting mixed with delightful decor, its comfort & care towards its visitors rarely found in hotels of to-days world. The visitor is cosseted by its owner, first shown by the welcoming energising pot of tea or coffee, food is abundant & delicious, beware you'll put on weight. The owners artistic mind and craftwork has put to-gether an interior layout that constantly holds the eye but in doing so relaxes the senses achieving a peaceful haven for all to luxuriate in. Set within a working arable farm the exterior doesn't fail in refreshing the senses with its ducks, geese & wildfowl. Children will love it, letting the parents chill out on the terrace
