Pros: First of all, staff is amazing. They really wanted to make us feel like at home. Location and overall facilities are very nice, with great cuisine. :) Would recommend it to a friend. Great communication.
Cons: The mattress was not comfortable at all and there was no bed. The mattress was on the floor.
Pros: I Chiosi is a little further from La Spezia and Cinque Terre but a lovely place to peacefully relax after your walk/visit to La Spezia or Cinque Terre. The host Michele was very polite, helpful and nice. The rooms are clean and roomy. At breakfast there are homemade cakes and jams and lovely view over the valley. We would recommend this place.
Cons: We stayed 2 nights and the breakfast was lovely but we could imagine that when staying a week there could be a bit more variety in breakfast items. The location is a bit further than we expected, however you see more of the countryside which is nice and it only takes you about 20min down to La Spezia by car.
Pros: Brilliant little place, lovely setting, quiet, lovely friendly family running the place. The home made pie and cake at breakfast is really tasty and the evening meal in the garden made with all local produce is definitely worth trying. Overall a really great place to stay with a wonderful atmosphere.
Cons: The room was a little warm without any a/c. A small price to pay for such a quality stay
Pros: We had a great stay at I Chiosi. The area is beautiful, in between the mountains, both peaceful an with a great view. The hosts are the best! The food is amazing (we had dinner there 3 times). The apartment is simple but effective and clean, with a nice bathroom, a comfortable bed, a small kitchen and a place to sit or eat. The pool is small but really nice and with an awesome view.
Pros: food and location fantastic, home made and fresh
Cons: payment options as no phone reception they need to invest in a card payment device that works off the wifi
Pros: Set in a little hamlet on a mountainside with views across to a little church set on the opposite mountain. Charming with attentive family who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Our room had a balcony with super view across the valley. There is a pool with sun chairs, covered seating area and outdoor showers. The owners have a farm and produce their own honey (available at breakfast) and have sheep and horses (not close to the house). The room are spacious and simple, not lavish, but the beds are comfy and it is a pleasant temperature at night. The evening meal we had here was superb, especially the antipasti which was a selection of tasters of the local produce. The other day we were there we ate lunch in the local village cafe/reaurant that ably supplied 80 covers, mainly to locals to a high standard. The drive up to the reservoir on the top of the mountain behind was a beautiful scenic drive with plenty of hairpins! We were sad to leave and hope to return.
Pros: Location, food and outdoor exceptional. Great and unique position. The staff really professional and kind. Raccomended
Pros: Everything was amazing! Beautiful location, great atmosphere - you should also stay for dinner there!
Pros: Thank you “micki and Julia” for the atmosphere, the joy and hospitality! A special place with special people! Big thanks!

Pros: Gorgeous views from pool and terrace Hammocks in white room Honesty bar available for wine/ beer Warm welcome from owners

Pros: The property is perfect--wonderfully restored/renovated building, lovely wc fixtures, absolutely amazing views from patio/deck/pool area. A short drive up the mountain from the lovely town of Fivizzano. Out of the way, but heavenly..
A farmhouse surrounded by a private park with barbecue facilities, the Borgo Antico is in the green Lunigiana area. The property includes an outdoor swimming pool and a sun terrace. Parking is free. The rustic rooms are located in 2 connecting buildings, and feature traditional terracotta floors and wooden ceilings. Rooms are on the ground or 1st floor, and offer views of the valley. At the reception building you will also find a restaurant, a shop selling local specialities, and bike rentals. The rooms are 800 metres away, in the same property. Agriturismo Borgo Antico is 20 km from the Aulla exit of the A15 Motorway. A car is recommended.
Pros: Wow! Not what we expected. Wonderful. Rooms finished to a high standard, clean, comfy, and quiet. Great pool. Breakfast area and food was excellent. Getting there on the motorbike was fun too! Excellent food in the restaurant in the evening and great value for money.
Cons: Need to make it clear that this isn’t your average hotel/b&b. Could be a problem if you have mobility issues. Walk back from the restaurant in the evening - golf buggy would be good idea :-)
Pros: Cozy ancient style appartment. Ours had an a rooftop terrace with an amazing view. Nice and clean pool area. Food in the restaurant is very fresh and delicious.
Pros: Up in the green hills inland from La Spezia and off the tourist trail the farm produces chestnuts & honey. Fresh produce feature in their restaurant menu and the food was delicious. Accommodation is in the restored historical quaint village. A unique experience, nature and walking tracks.
Cons: Everything was lovely. A minor point, the menu was verbal so for us non italian speakers we felt like we missed out on the finer detail of the delicious food choices but we still enjoyed everything we had.
Pros: What a gem of a place!
Pros: In a beautiful rural location The staff were very friendly and helpful The cuisine was delicious
Pros: Delicious food, beautiful view, extremely nice staff. Perfect place to find peace of mind.
Cons: WiFi connection could be stronger.
Pros: This was an absolute gem of a find! The drive is a little hairy up there, so please make sure you're aware of this. However, it is absolutely worth it. The location and scenery is utterly stunning and what the family are trying to achieve is wonderful. Highlights for me was the food in the montagna verde - make sure you reserve a table. It was possibly the best food that we had during our time in Italy. The staff that we dealt with were all delightful and very helpful. We didn't even explore further afield as we were just so happy and peaceful there. Thanks!
With its quiet position in the Lunigiana area of Tuscany, Agriturismo Casa Turchetti is a converted countryside mansion along the ancient Via Francigena. This working farm offers rustic-style rooms and free Wi-Fi throughout. Rooms all have views of the surrounding Apennine mountains and a private bathroom with shower. Homemade biscuits and jams, but also cakes and cappuccino feature for breakfast, and savoury food can be catered for on request. The on-site restaurant opens on request. Rabbits and chicken are reared at the Casa Turchetti, which also produces olive oil and chestnut flour. Horse riding lessons can be booked on site. This farm stay lies in the mediaeval village of Cattognano, a 10-minute drive from the Tosco-Emiliano National Park. Aulla Train Station is 20 km away.
Pros: It is utterly beautiful, hidden away in a valley surrounded by wooded hills. It is a charming property that is a cluster of restored farm buildings. The food is magnificent.
Cons: The final bit of road to the property is very steep, although still passable for a standard car.
Pros: Fantastic place to stay and such a wonderful location! Silvia was the perfect host - lovely room and delicious breakfasts. Recommend to everyone and will definitely be staying again.
Pros: Amazing food. Lovely staff
Pros: Extremely clean, friendly and accommodating staff, wonderful food, and a relaxed remote location with an amazing view.
Pros: It's very quiet, situated in a tiny village high on a mountainroad. Dinner was exceptional and easily the best we've had during the vacation. The host was very helpful with tips on sightseeing in the area.
Cons: We had some bad weather and there isn't really a nice sitting room. The room was quite dark to keep indoors for a longer time.
Pros: Ilaria was an outstanding host - she really made us feel at home, provided so many useful advices for the trips we took. The place was very nice, quiet with a beautiful garden and pool (which was a surprise for us) - great relaxation after traveling across Tuscany during the days.
Pros: The view was incredible! We had the romantic room so we had the view of the Apennines from our window. There were cows and chickens and even a donkey nearby, which was delightful! They were supercute. There was a fridge in the reception full of beer and wine so you didn't have to drive all the way to a shop to get what you need, perfect! Our hostess, Ilaria, was wonderful!! Super sweet and helpful, she gave us great tips on what to do and where to go. She was very warm and welcoming and definitely made me want to visit again.
Cons: Everything was perfect, honestly. It was a travellers paradise.
Pros: Heading up the mountain to Quarazzana is an adventure! You are very secluded in this small town, but will have all that you need for a relaxing get away. The food, the views, and the host were spectacular. Every dinner, which is optional, had at last five courses, if not more. One day, we just sat and smelled what was being made. I wouldn't think of finding dinner anywhere else. We couldn't wait for dinner to be served by Leonardo, an accomplished chef. Our host, Ilaria, helped us out getting from the train station and back to it without trouble. We didn't have a car and our host volunteered to take us down the mountain to Fivizzano, a beautiful small town. She then offered tips, including a remote waterfall, for us to see as we hiked back up the mountain. This spot is almost off the map, but if that is what you are looking for, it is well worth it.
Pros: Setting and restoration was marvelous.
Cons: Directions that are unclear.
Pros: Ilaria is a wonderful hostess. The place is beautiful and the food deliciosa
Pros: The agriturismo is located in a tiny old village (with no restaurants or shops, just a few residents and livestock), which the owners are slowly renovating year by year. If you like rustic charm, this place is lovely. Great breakfast with homemade cakes, local cheese and yogurt. The dinner is delicious, homemade food. It is not a restaurant, so you eat whatever is fresh. Ilaria, the owner, is friendly and full of great information about the surrounding areas. There are some nice walks in the area both on the winding road and on trails through the woods.
Cons: The location is beautiful, but it is very isolated. The nearest village is an 8 km drive on windy roads. The water pressure in the shower is not very strong. The dining room is a bit small, so if the place is full it is loud and feels crowded. In the summer time it would be lovely to eat outside in the courtyard with a bit more space.
Pros: Everything was just wonderful, we can absolutely recommend this lovely and peaceful place! The dinner was outstanding and service super warm and welcoming! We will come back!
Pros: Immerse yourself in wild Tuscany. Loved the mountain view, food, authenticity of the place. Great host.

The place is well maintained and the hosting couple is - despite they don’t speak english - super friendly! The baby bed was ready and when we arrived late due to problems, we got a very warm welcome.
Cons: We were visiting with a baby, the room is small with 3 people and luggage. Very basic breakfast.
Pros: Gabriella & Ubaldo were wonderful hosts who took good care of us. The room was comfortable and clean. The patio/yard area out front is a wonderful place to relax with a gorgeous view. Just up the road is Passo del Cerreto, from which starts a network of hiking trails with fantastic scenery. There is a lovely restaurant close by in Sassalbo. We would love to return! Pros: Gorgeous place with mountains all around and just 30 min. by car to the beach. Amazing and caring hosts and super delicious food. Pool and garden with mountain view - just perfect for careless relaxation. just across the street park with children playground.
Cons: Hotel is in small village and is on the very road, where cars driving just next to your windows from the very morning. As no conditioning available windows were open during the night and cars where a bit disturbing. Beds could be softer, but it's very much based on persons preferences.
Pros: Location and view were breathtaking. Pool was fantastic. Staff were always available and couldn’t do enough. Umberto can arrange almost anything for you in the locality, even wine tasting! . Breakfast was brilliant, very traditional and plentiful and coffee fantastic. We loved this place, was perfect for exploring traditional Italy, La Spezia and the Cinque Terre. Would highly recommend a stay with Umberto, Laura and their staff and are already thinking of when we can return. A huge thank you for our stay ..
Cons: Liked everything

Pros: Tranquility of the area, the vineyard environment and the well-kept pool.
Cons: Lack of open restaurants in Fivizzano while we were there, other than the very good pizza restaurant/takeaway near the main car park.
Pros: Silence, air, the scents of the countryside
Cons: I would prefer a higher position and mountain view
Pros: This is a beautiful place, the house and the surrounding were quiet, peaceful and a joy to stay within. I even swam in the pool and really enjoyed it if a little cool. Breakfast is plentiful and the hosts attentive ensuring we had all we required. We enjoyed our evening picnic in the grounds and drinking the estate wine, and time spent with Andrea and his lovely family We may very well be back.
Cons: Rooms and bathroom somewhat small but who cares.
Pros: We enjoyed a historical 130 m2 upstairs appartment in a 16th century house located in beautiful Italian countryside. The location enables day trips to La Spezia and Cinque Terre. The appartment was unique and quiet. Breakfast consisted of local products, for example, farm’s own eggs. Il Bardellino’s wine is also excellent.
Cons: The quiet surroundings mean that there are not many services nearby and moving around requires a car.

Verry home like. Did not use the pool. Fan was provided upon request. The woman there spoke enough English to be very helpful. My wife and I are going to miss the Albergo Il Sicomoro!
Cons: There was no air conditioning and could not get Wi-Fi.

Pros: Breakfast was adequate with good cappuccino, yogurt, juice - cold items. Very pleasant location with many walking trails around, The decor is sort of quaint and faded - lots of plastic flowers tacked on the mantle beams and old photographs - 1940's hunting/ski lodge vibe. Dinner was very good if perhaps a bit overpriced. 12 Euros for a mushroom soup? To its credit, the hotel is in quite good condition, considering the surrounding area looks like it's all for sale , boom times passed.
Cons: Bathroom small and generic toiletries
Pros: Breakfast was good
Cons: The room was 12 degrees when we arrived at 5 in the afternoon and the hotel refused to turn on the heat before the sun had gone down. So the room was too cold to stay in until 21. There was hair in the bed and the rooms were very old
