the pool was nice and the room was somewhat clean, the cleaning staff was very accommodating. when I booked online it said beachfront. this hotel is not beachfront. it is across a busy street. Front lobby staff was rude at times.
It is closed to the beach and shopping centers It looks like families are living in the hotel, there's toys, clothing, chairs all around.
Some people were nice They were working on a room right above mine at like 9am. I'm on vacation so therefore I want to sleep in not wake up to a hammer to the floor. And it was loud all night from people talking right outside our door or yelling across the lot.
My wife and I just needed a place to sleep for the night while in the area. The room was clean and acceptable to my wife (That is the important part).
the staff was nice old, most outlets didn't work, lights didn't work, no mini fridge that was promised, uncomfortable bed and pillows, no blanket on bed only sheets, I hope to never stay there again
Location was good. Price was low. Kids liked pool Room was in major disrepair. Paint in shower was peeling, walls were peeling, rust stains, carpets were really dirty (black feet)
It was really close to the port, excelent service, great location. It was clean. It's just a little outdated, the rest was perfect
Walking distance to water and localized pretty well Too much to list. Let's just say was worth it for price and 1 night exp since wasn't in room much
The beach was nice and the restaurant by the beach was ok. Staff was friendly. They have a big pool but in meed of maintenance. The whole hotel is very old and in urgent need for remodel. The whole feel is of a cheap motel. Our first room smelled like vomit. They change us to another room. Bathrooms are old. Our toilet bowl was loose. Overall this hotel can't be a 3 star hotel. Rooms are in the category of a motel 6.
Location was nice. Carpeted floor was damp. Bathtub faucet had a steady stream/leak. Handle was cracked so it wouldn't fully shut off. Very annoying to listen to all night and very wasteful. Interior front door handle of room was loose and it was difficult getting the door open. The handle fell off completely the last night of our stay. I was very disappointed. The spa closes at 10pm so my wedding night was spent in a dank hotel room listening to a leaking faucet. For this price, I would have expected at least a continental breakfast.
It was on the beach the kids loved the lil Waterpark n pool had basket ball goal. The hot water was hard to turn on in the bath tub. The faucet was stripped out. The beds were okay wasn't the best
The location and staff are great, but the hotel is falling apart needs some major repairs. The rate is too high for the time of the year I went. December.
Nothing Terrible hotel
Location was great. Pool was clean and water temperature was perfect. Pool towels were provided at the facility. Hot tub was relaxing (although a little too hot.. but we still enjoyed it). Beach was clean and not crowded. The rooms were clean and included a refrigerator and microwave. The staff was nice. The hotel offers SMS services so you don't have to call or go to the front desk every time. Just send a text message to the number provided and someone answers within 2 minutes. Good eating spots within walking distance. Bed was uncomforable and light bled through the window at night. Some people staying there/hanging outside were a little sketchy so we traveled as a group after dark. Hotel beach-side bar closed too early. We went around 11 pm and it was closed.
Nothing .. Location is not bad
Closeness of the beach. The price of the food. A little over priced
Bed was little hard for me
Close to Cocoa Beach and Port Canaveral The chain lock on the door was broken so I did not sleep well nor feel secure. The bathroom was disgusting and looked as though it had not been cleaned in years. I booked this reservation through Kayak but ended up also being charged by La Quinta. So I was double charged. After reviewing my bank statement and realizing this today, I contacted La Quinta and they did apologize and a refund is being processed. The hotel just did not seem clean and we will not be going back.
Close to beach access. Good value. Not enough towels. Room for 4 and only given 3 towels.
Staff is very accommodating and friendly Room renovations are wonderful, loved our room! Quiet Reasonably priced ample parking close to attractions There was nothing we did not like.
Room was very nice ... Had everything we needed .. Pool area very nice Yard crew using blowers while people were in the area
The staff were very helpfull The bathroom flooded, the fixtures were old, and the room smelled of some severe cleaning solution.
Book this for a one night getaway. Room was recently renovated and clean. All requests were taken care of, and they called the room an hour after check in to see if we needed anything. Would stay again. They are in the midst of a renovation. There wasn't any noise, but there were some dumpsters and equipment around, did not get a heads up. Breakfast was typical, not too appetizing.
The staff is very friendly and the location was convinet to a lot of things The floors are very dirty my feet got black after 10 minutes of walking barefoot. The showerhead was mildewed as was the tiller paper holder.bed was not very comfortable
Good location, nice facility with some interesting history and very pleasant staff. Would definitely return!
Comfortable room, particularly the beds. Great pool and facilities. N/A
Though the pool looked very tempting, the brief walk across the street to the beach looked even better! Lower level room was clean and quiet, even with bar upstairs. Employee at breakfast was diligent in cleaning constantly. Edges of bathtub looked old and worn.
the location was easily accessible. the price was ok. the desk mgr was attentive blood stains at the bottom corners of the mattress. odor in the room. large critter in the bathroom. (1.2" reddish brown ?) La Quintas are officially off my list...
Views from balcony of beach were awesome. Cost of food in restaurant was high
All rooms are suites with separate sitting room Would have been nice to have a small microwave to go with the small fridge and coffee pot.
I really loved this place. Very very friendly staff even the house keeper did something I've never seen before, we collected sea shells and had them piled in the sick when we returned she had cleaned them all by hand and laid them All out nice and neat on a towel. Wow!!! Was all we could say.. And the place is very clean and great beach access. Nothing!!!
Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable! Attentive, courteous, and friendly staff, upgraded room, superior view and location, extremely comfortable bedding. In fact the best nights sleep I've had in years. Very clean and well appointed rooms and facilities. We will be staying here the next time we are back in Melbourne, and highly recommend you do as well!! We have no complaints only praises!
The view was beautiful. The bed was comfortable. We had plenty of room in our room. Clean. There was water damage to the ceiling on the balcony. The hotel charges a $50 per night "security deposit" that was not in the contract or mentioned beforehand and took 4 days to be returned AFTER checkout. When we asked the staff about the charge, they were very rude. Parking was limited, but cost $6 a day. Probably will not stay here again.
Was not allowed to check on my persevered reservation and did not get the room I ask for .. and was not reimburse for my inconvenience
every thing. the staff was very helpful. the view was awesome
The King suite was huge and the view was amazing. I will stay here again. The elevators were horrible. They took forever because there were only 2. It's not a reason not to stay there but that was the only negative part.
I lost my room key and was assisted by a very pleasant desk clerk who was extremely friendly and helpful
I enjoyed having and ocean view from my room. I was also given a free upgrade because I was only in town for the night. The shuttle ride was a bit rough and my luggage got banged up pretty bad in the back of the van.
It is on the beach. This hotel is forgettable. If it was moved 5 miles inland (and thus off the beach), it would be out of business within 6 months unless prices were cut in half. The room was serviceable but plain, the bar was lousy (and very noisy), the breakfast buffet was OK and the service both at the bar and at breakfast was mediocre. If I were to visit again, I would choose a different hotel along this strip of of A1A in Melbourne, FL. But, I wonder whether I could do better because when you have a first rate location (i.e. on the beach), you can get away with being slipshod otherwise.
Excellent stsff. Clean room. Buffet breakfast had runny eggs and disgusting grits.
location on the beach staff was polite facilities run down broken door lock, and balcony door rusted and poor condition
The Ocean View Cleanliness. Poor Hotel Maintenance. Ice machine broken. Dirty carpet. Linen and towels are very old. Uncomfortable mattress and pillows.
The staff, that was it Not clean, founds bugs in the bed, smelt bad, room felt wet and muggy, not worth the money. Never staying in s crowns plaza because of this experience
Staff was great and helpful. Problems were quickly addressed (door issue). The location is what you pay for, and that makes it all worth it. You can't get better location for the money.
Staff was friendly People in the pool until 2am and very loud, called front desk to get them out of pool or be quiet, it took 2 hours and the pool hours end at dusk. My husband and I had 1 night away from our kids and were not able to get any sleep.
Great location! Wonderful beach, great pool, cute little deck with ocean view to eat and drink on. Bar was pretty nice too. Rooms are very clean and the bed and pillows super comfortable! Try the fish tacos at their restaurant. :) No complimentary breakfast.
Good sound proof Good hospitality to our one night stay.
Checking in and out was easy Parking was inadequate. They charge for parking but don't provide enough. I had to park across the highway and walk back to Hotel.
Hotel restaurant was slow to seat, even with empty chairs. Seem as if there were no one in charge.
Water front. Liked that the BEST. Comfy beds The doors slam so loudly Morning and night !!
The hotel was very nice and clean. The location was wonderful, right on the ocean. The air conditioner was very load and woke my husband up each time it kicked in. Had to pay separate for parking- which is in my opinion ridiculous.
The view was spectacular! The beach is also surprisingly uncrowded. We loved the food and drinks at the Hilton's restaurant and patio bar. All of the other staff throughout the property (except at the front desk) were very friendly, gracious and welcoming. Seriously, once you get checked in, you feel very well taken care of. Our room was immaculate and comfortable. We'd read online that the front desk staff was rude. We were actually surprised to find that those reviews were absolutely true. These employees must go through some sort of special training to be so unhelpful, unfriendly and act like your checking in to the hotel is interrupting their day of scowling. They live in this paradise. Why so grumpy? Also, this hotel was the only one around that didn't have a balcony. When you see your view, you quickly become disappointed about this fact.
We live in SW Florida but decided to go to Cocoa Beach for a mini vacation. The hotel is nice and was a great price on Kayak. Plus when we got there the hotel upgraded us for free to a mini suite with a view of the ocean! The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was very clean. Staff were friendly. We ordered room service for breakfast. It was average and right on time. The beach is amazing! The bathroom was small but still nice.
Great access to the beach. The brownies at the coffee shop were delicious. There were two, not one, but two, fire alarms in the middle of the night while we were there. When you are woken up at 4:00am, and again at 6:00, it makes for a long, unpleasant night.
Ocean front and deck Didn't like being charged for parking in just a big parking lot $6.00 a day is too steep and being charged for the last day was wrong when we checked out on time
Staff and view were amazing !! Somebody needs to sit in the bathtub in rm. 654 . See what we see ! You see PVC pipes under sink. The ceiling was chipped paint ! The drywall was the shottiest job I have ever seen ! Somebody okayed that job ! It was a renovated room already , if that is the case , the standards were Days inn , at hilton prices !!!! As you can tell not happy at all ! We love hilton hotels , but may have to reconsider this one !!
Ocean front view-on the beach, great breakfast, hard working staff.
Nice Water Front Hotel; heated pool was very nice. Good Breakfasts each Morning. Arrived with our reservation all booked up; so we had to settle for a lesser value location.
The location was excellent and staff was great. The room smelled funky
The location was excelent and it's in a quiet area, but close to restaurants, shopping, and only steps from the beach and pier. Rooms could be cleaner. Underneath the bed skirting (that skirt that hides the base underneath the bed) were things from prior guest - bottle caps, floss, ugggh. Other than that, it was a decent place. I marked it overall as good, because nowdays, unless your paying $200 or more a night, thats about the cleanest you can expect.
We liked that it was so close to the beach. The staff was wonderful!
We had a double Queen room, which usually means queen beds stuffed into the same size rooms as the full size beds. Nope! Pleasantly surprised! the room was larger, the fridge was larger than the normal Mini you usually get. there were towels everywhere! LOL! The air worked very well. The bed was very comfy. The room was clean. the breakfast was a real Hot breakfast, not just bagels & pastries. Eggs, hot cakes, meats, oatmeal, grits, as well as bagels & pastries. It was good for a fast hot hotel breakfast. We would stay again, I just hope it's sooner than later! thanks for the nice stay, Best Western is now on my go to list! If I had to pick something, it would be the parking & the Tiki-Bar wasn't open on a Saturday afternoon! the weather wasn't good, so that's probably why.
I had a balcony room with an ocean view. It was wonderful. The staff was very friendly. Nothing
Loved the suite room with a separate bedroom, with the view of the Atlantic and the sunrise! Trying to get young children to sleep, it was very noisy by the poolside, with swimmers screaming "Marco Polo" from 8:00 to past 10:00. Too bad the beds are not located on the quieter side of the suite, which I know would not be possible.
Right on the beach, nice beds and very clean. Staff was excellent, very welcoming.
Closeness to the beach
Convenient Shower would not drain Ants/small bugs in my room
Great customer service. After having a bad run-in with Economy rentalcars, and getting to the hotel at almost midnight, the woman at the front desk was fantastic and helped get my vacation back on track!
The closeness to the beach (100yds max), Cocoa Beach Pier is literally a 5 minute walk if that. Closeness to Port Canaveral. It is literally infested with ants. Ants all over the sink, toilet, tub. The air conditioning is old school, so it's incredibly loud and meh on cooling ability. Parking can be tough at times, especially at night. Did I mention the amount of ants already? Well it deserves to be mentioned again. Room cleaning is ridiculous. They come around once at around 8ish. Either you get your room cleaned and stocked with towels then or you are screwed for the rest of the day. They do not come back if they skipped your room earlier and seem to be done with work around 3.
I realize it's south Florida, but seriously... The amount of ants inside your room and overall cleanliness of the room makes you look twice at your receipt. At least the bed sheets were clean. Ants, parking can be a challenge, getting your room cleaned for a new day.
Beds uncomfortable, noisy
Breakfast was nice The ocean breeze was pretty chilly one night, a jacuzzi would have been nice.
The location is amazing. Close to the peir and beach. The main dislike is the 4pm checkin. The waffle maker wasn't working one morning but the other breakfast foods made up for it.
Good spacious room, nice premises and warm swimming pool. The balcony was too narrow to sit on it for the ocean view room.
Comfortable and clean room, ocean view, right on the beach. We were here for our anniversary. Two weddings were happening at the hotel while we were there so it was cute to see that and remind us of our own wedding. Very appropriate for our anniversary. Also, took advantage of "long walks on the beach" which were lovely with the sunset amd perfect weather. Beach wasnt too crowded in October so it was perfect. Didnt expect to pay for parking and they told us wed get more perks if we booked directly through them - maybe free parking?? Who knows. We were too happy to worry about that stuff. Thanks Hilton! Had to pay for parking. We paid for ocean view but our main view was of the side parking lot. Had to look left to see ocean.
I enjoyed the starbucks coffe in the morning, and the heated pool.
Having to Pay for parking then having private parties where people didn't have to pay for parking.mean while the actual hotel guest who paid for parking. Had no place to park!!!! And drive around and around and wait for a space to park
the pool and the closeness to the beach
Ocean view The bath tub, it was dirty .
view was amazing and cleaniness
proximity to the beach price of wine, beer
The room was clean and nicely furnished The beach access on our sideof the building was being redone but we didnt know that until check-in
Nice pool deck. Great food. Large clean suites with a spectacular view! Ordered dinner thru room service and the service was impressive. Asked for early check in and a high floor and everything was granted with a smile. Best bet is to ask for the 3rd floor or higher for the best views. See you again soon!! Noticed quite a few non guests coming up from the beach to use the pool. A hotel employee had to ask them all to leave. Was also very hot inside lobby and restaurant area.
I like the location but the condition of the hotel is so bad that I cannot return. This hotel is run down, dirty and dingy. They charged me $33 for a microwaved breakfast buffet. Do you want beach chairs? $30. Every time my neighbor sat on the bed, the headboard banged on the wall several times. I will be letting Harris Corp and BCD Travel know this place is a dump.
The fitness room although spartan but nice. Ocean front view wonderful! We did not know that it is in repair status: water leakings in many places, back yard in construction, no direct way to the beach, Wall Street Journal in limited quantities (ran out quickly), toilet flush not working very well. When we made the reservation, we were assured that parking fees are included in the room price but at check in the registration clerk told us that we have to pay it. We protested she finally agreed not to charge us.
Staff was very friendly and helpful at all times, good breakfast, free parking, room size and views o.k. air condition noisy and did not smell well
The breakfast was awesome! Loved it! Rooms were clean and comfy Would rather have an inside hallway than to go outside to the room.
We upgraded to an ocean view room and the view from the balcony was lovely. Hotel is a short walk from cocoa beach. The sand is lush and waves are big! 20 minute walk to the pier where the friendly staff serve fab cocktails with a great view out to sea and the beautiful long beach. We loved it here, just a shame we only stayed the 1 night! Dislikes - air con unit in the room was too loud. It sounded like a motorcycle engine so had to turn it off to sleep. Ended up propping the balcony door open with a chair. The complimentary breakfast is poor quality. Coffee and pastry was ok.
closeness to the ocean. Access path to beach right off the pool had and incident with anther guests child spitting on a sleeping freind poolside. management threatened to throw the sleeping person out when she was offended and wanted an apology.
The staff when arriving was very helpful,as we needed an urgent care for my daughter. They phoned the location for their hours and printed us a map. They were very helpful to give us information about the motel and pool area. I was also very impressed that the pool was handicap ready including a lift. The room seemed clean when we walked in. The patio/balcony had beer bottles and cigarette butts from previous guests. The bathtub was not clean, it had soap scum and hair from previous guests. The headboard had a large grease spot from someone's head. I shared this with the manager on duty when I checked out. She did not appear concerned as her attitude or facial expression never changed while I was talking. She stated "sorry about that, we try to inspect some rooms daily to avoid problems."
Clean Room, Fast Service, Convenient Location
We came down for coffee before the cafe was open and we were very impressed the manager on duty fixed it for us before the cafe was open. Never had that happen before.
Bed was very hard.
Comfortable, clean, helpful staff, well located, easy parking, good restaurant.
We liked our waitress Cora and the location to the beach. The pool area was dirty with empty glasses and pool toys, there was no hot tub for adults to enjoy.
we stayed here because it was the location of an event we were going to attend .... it was just an ok hotel for the money ... nothing wrong just nothing exceptional, For the top end dollar you pay for a room at double tree ... I expect more then one chocolate chip cookie and a beach front red roof inn with a bar. I was constantly being asked if i belonged to their double tree club... and treatment seems to depend on that ... maybe you get different service then but I for one dont want to belong to a club to get what i'm already paying for... those perks come from the revenue generated by all of our business. Just another place that wants to treat a select few like rock stars and the rest of us like paupers with the moneys all of us pay for .... sad new standard in customer service. most staffers seemed unhelpful and in capable of helping with the simplest tasks ... Might I borrow a pair if scissors? can you dirrect me to a non tourist shopping area.... and until I found a staff member that was originally from my home state, I may as well been talking to deaf staffers, makes me even more happy I booked with kayak and got the best deal possible.... like I said beach front red roof with bar.
The beach was wonderful!
Loaction on beach front. Quality and range of food in the complimentary exuctive lounge was dissapointing
Convenient location to the beach, lots of parking, convenient to shopping and restaurants. Did not provide beach chairs for free or for a low price. Charging $10 for a lounge was too much.
The price for a suite The carpets in the room were dirty
Rooms were well decorated, clean and comfy. staff was friendly and helpful
Very nice staff, clean and it was very comfy N/a
The suite was nice. inflexibility of all parties involved.
All was great N/a
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Unit is clean, quiet and well equipped. The layout of the room is very efficient and I loved having a kitchen. With the Publix market right across the street it was great to have a fresh healthy dinner. The hotel is 'pet friendly' but often pet owners are really ignorant because they think everyone loves their dog; I'm allergic so I DON'T. Also, bringing your dog to the breakfast room is NOT ACCEPTABLE and those guests should be asked to get out!!
The pictures of the room on the web is exactly how we found the room. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Would stay there again. Staff was very nice. Nothing
Close to my son Not one thing. Nice place.
I liked the breakfast (better than Holiday Inn, LaQuinta, Red Roof Inn, Hampton Inn, etc) - more hot food and protein. I also liked the towels - there were many and they were plump and fluffy. The bed was comfortable. The carpet was 'tired' and frankly, it looked dirty. Lighting was dreadful - come on, Marriott, put more wattage in your light bulbs.
Room was very clean. Like a small apartment. Very good value Breakfast was really gross. One of the biggest reasons i picked residence was for the breakfast. I had stayed at another residence inn and it was actually pretty good. This one was nasty.
Quiet. Nice comfortable beds and pillows.
The manager was so helpful, going beyond what was necessary to be helpful. The staff were all so pleasant and the facility was very clean. our only issue was that it was just a little farther from NASA than we would have liked to be, If our trip had not involved frequent trips to Cocoa Beach your hotel would have been the perfect choice.
Friendly staff. Breakfast sucked.
Oceanfront location, very clean room, well equipped kitchenette no
The detail to the surf and beach theme. Lots of kid noise and slamming doors Due to uncaring parents.
The hotel has a beach on the Ocean. Didn't realize that hotels still rented rooms with two double beds. Despite the hotel being almost empty we got one of the only rooms without a view. Front desk said they would have called us to cancel our room due to roof repairs but didn't have our numb
beach seemed 'private' room needed some sprucing up. there was black mold on the curtains of our room and the blinds to the large retractable window were broken
Great location, great friendly staff, beautifully decorated rooms. Will definitely go back!!!
Clean rooms with a great view of ocean. There was no elevator. We were on the third floor.
