Had all the essentials, was clean and good value place to spend the night. The hotel location is in an industrial area and is a modern budget design. Fine for a night on the way somewhere else but would not want to spend a week's holiday there. Small room
The staff were friendly, the magazines were up to date and a nice touch, the towels were nice, The shower fitting was dirty, there is no bus shuttle to the airport, there is no information whatsoever for travelling to Montpelier by public transport, there is no information on location of beaches, information on area is needed.
Quite near to the airport when travelling on foot (about 2 km), nice staff, not very far away from a big shopping center. A bus stop quite far from the hotel (about 2 km), Montpellier and beaches also quite far from the hotel (about 7 km).
price too far from airport
It was value for money but I was disappointed that there is not a shuttle service to the airport. I will not recommend it to someone who want to be close to the airport It cost 15euros to the airport by taxi!!!!!!!!!!
Close to the autoroute. Tiny bathroom
Please write at least 15 words
Perfect for one night stay.
Exactly as expected, small chain hotel. Kids bunk beds worked fine for 3. Glad that the breakfast was optional, we went elsewhere. Tiny breakfast buffet, but it was optional, and skipping it reduced the hotel cost.
The check-in and out process was very easy. Would be nice if they provided maps to nearby locations.
Upon my booking, they immediately called me to advise that the hotel was under renovation - pool was closed (it was winter anyway), some work outside and inside, but no issue. Cozy room - great staff - excellent breakfast, but at a price of EURO 20. Airco was actually too hot.
This was a very well appointed hotel which was also well maintained. The rooms were lovely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend to others and stay there again.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. There was free internet use, use of hotel umbrella's and the hotel was perfectly situated for access to get all around Montpellier
The hotel was wonderful, brilliant location, very good helpful staff and lovely bonus of top floor restaurant and swimming pool etc. with views over the city. Very comfortable sumptuous beds.
Comfort, service & location Charging fees for Wireless connection is quite unacceptable for such hotel standing (like many others)
Thw welcome at the reception and the friendly atmosphere of all the staff.very well trained.
Facilities and hotel staff availibility Continental Breakfast quite expensive
The room was beautiful and in a great location.
efficient 24 hour good service & comfortable with adequate fcailities for a city hotel no
The location was very central , very convenient to the railway station , and the frequent tram service . great for a short city break Breakfast should be included in the price , dining room not very impressive
Good facilities and friendly staff excellent location
location, style, grandeur, service. lack of pool (not expected in a periodic building), noisy air conditioning, lack of tea and coffee making facilities in room.
Clean comfortable rooms. Excellent location, lovely views of the main square.
It's well located The hotel is not family friendly. We were using a pram for our three month old baby and the stairs in front of the hotel make it difficult to circulate. The hotel is on pedestrian area, so we had to carry all our luggage and baby from the underground parking nearby (which also does not seem to have an elevator) to the hotel. The hotel staff did not offer to help, not even once, even though they were not busy at the time. The staff seemed quite inexperienced and was not very forthcoming in providing information about the location. If you have family, I do not recommend staying at this hotel. There are others nearby, as well-situated and cheaper.
The location The hotel's lack of help and flexibility when we wanted to change our booking to a different date. This was due to the uncertainty of our flight departures due to the French strikes. the hotel did not try to accommodate our request in any way. we were not trying to cancel, merely rebook for another date
The location of this hotel, right on the Place Comedie, is great. For bars/culture/shopping to be right on your doorstep is just what you want in a city break. The car park is very close, under the Place, which was handy. The staff recommended an excellent local restaurant for our first night, Les Bains, two minutes walk from the hotel, and the restaurant next door to the hotel also seemed excellent, though we did not manage to eat there. There is no bar or restaurant at the hotel, and rooms are a little tired. Also, being close to the nightlife has the drawback of being noisy.
Montpellier is a very fascinating city and Newhotel du Midi with his amazing location just on Place de la Comedie is the perfect place if you want to discover the city center. In the bathroom there weren't either windows or air condition.
The hotel was centrally located in the town square and close to the tram and parking. Great location
Excellent location next to the main square, within easy walking distance from railway station and all sights. Comfortable bed and pillows. Double glazing blocks out the noise from the square. Clean. Spacious, uncluttered room. Pleasant staff. Interesting original decoration. Decent breakfast, although you could get something cheaper and less substantial from a nearby café. Slow to repair things like lightbulbs. Very little natural light in the public areas (but that's just a personal preference).
Great value for money, very hospitile reception, good attitude, nice rooms, free parking, many other facilities. Bad location: one side to a motorway, in a semi-industrial area, far from public transport and any shops. No vending machine to purchase water/snacks etc.
Did not like it. No air con.55 mins walk to Montpellier centre.Bus once every hour ,last from Montpellier in evening to return to hotel 7.30pm. In accessible to everything without a car. Also took double fee from my bank account,in process of investigating through my bank. Terrible company.Nearest super market 35 mins walk and part of walk through quiet country lane not safe at night for lone female.Terriblr choice said 15 mins from Montpallier centre in your add but failed to mention 15 mins by car. read above comments.
Design of the accommodation and quality of the interiors. The floors were not clean on arrival. Location and access to the facility is difficult and takes time to locate and familiarise oneself. Lack of a balcony to the triple unit. Lack of a dishwasher.
The staff attempted to resolve any and all issues The establishment is not a hotel in the traditional sense. It is more like "student accommodation". If you were to arrive outside the four hours per day of office opening, you cannot gain entry past the security gate. Once entry is gained and you make it to the office you are provided with literature which advises you that it is your responsibility to make yourself aware of the office hours. You are required to check and sign an inventory of the rooms contents, and are held responsible for any discrepancies. In our case we had booked an "apartment" only to find that the bedding consisted of one single bed and a "sofa" which we found, assembled and made up to form two single beds. Insufficient space to comment on things we did not like.
Nothing, except da kindness of the staff.
big bathroom, quite, internet, kitchen fully equipped the bed was horrible, necessary to have a car - no public transportation
It was so quiet, you could sleep very well. The room was not very clean, not enough blankets, and the lift was not working.
very good service from the owner's side. She's a very helpfull person who speaks English properly. lack of aircon can be a problem during hot summer time. People who don't rent a car need be careful as the taxi drivers can cheat on you and try to charge you around 35 Euro for 8km drive.
nice and proper building, spacious and clean appartment, good parking bed was nothing speacial and especially not good for a couple, but could be a very good option for a young family
Whilst our stay at L'Oliveraie we thought the hotel staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful (especially Mamaodo and the other gentleman working at reception). For the price of the apartment it was clean and in a useful location if you have a car. We would definitely consider staying at L'Oliveraie again. The only points we didn't like about the hotel was the fridge in our apartment wasn't very cold which was a disadvantage considering the hot weather and we felt there wasn't any warning about the fact we had to pay for the sheets and towels.
everything was ok, nothing particular to mention not applicable
Good service. Restaurant serving late. Welcoming staff and a spacious room. Sitauted in a commercial activity center, not recommended if you want to relax during the day. A small swimming pool, but lack of privacy. The hotel is near one main road
a tired looking hotel, over priced for the comfort provided, more like a premier classe than any UK based chain.
Near to motorway, very good value with helpfull staff. Excellent for stopover.
Convenient for the airport and provided the necessary facilities for an overnight or short stay. We had a single night there and it met our requirements, the staff were friendly and helpful. Dining in the restaurant was reasonably priced and the quality good, breakfast was basic but acceptable.
For the money, perfect. A little out of the way, though. A little out of the way.
All staff persons do not speak English. at all. Staff person refused to provide accommodation because according his was booking invalid (according your reservations all seem ok)
The staff were very friendly and helpful although they did not speak any English. Faults in the room was rectified quickly. The comunial shower rooms.
Fantastic hotel, I don't undestand why it has 2 stars only. I really reccomend it. To get to the city center (old town) it is necessary to walk 1 kilometer.
Well decorated and clean. Good atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. No elevator. But understandable for the time of the building, may be difficult for some people.
Owners were very welcoming. Room was excellent, as was the rest of the hotel. A 10 minute walk takes you right into the heart of the old city. Nothing to dislike, although parking was difficult - but that is to be expected in a city location.
Location was good. Garden set up for breakfast and other meals was very pretty.
Excellent staff, friendly, great location to view historical Montpellier. Local authentic markets opposite Sat & Tues. Loved every moment at the hotel and Montpellier, stayed an extra 3 nights
Hotel staff very friendly..room was very charming and clean. breakfast was complet and good.
Nothing special. Ok for 1 night.
Location, friendly staff, room design
Very helpful staff, despite us not speaking french. We were very satisfied with the hotel and its services
It was a little out of town
Everything - staff were very helpful and hotel room was fabulous. Even though there was some mixup in the reservation between Bookings.Com and the hotel this was resolved very quickly. They even deducted cost of breakfast for the 'trouble' that this had caused. Highly recommended. No
Nice location in the historic center of Montpellier in quiet side street. The room was cozy but fairly small. Hence it is a bit difficult to move around in the room if you have a lot of luggage.
Great location in old town, surrounded by great restaurants.
almost everything is good nothing
Very good location. Beautiful veranta for breakfast. The view of the gardens and old university is spectacular but from very few rooms only. Not accessible by car. No elevator. The staff was not very friendly and there was a mistake done by the hotel during checking in, that was only announced to us when checking out in a quite rude way by the girl in the reception.
I quite liked the hotel situation. My room was fine but some our group found the rooms on the small side. The staff were very good and helpful.
great location in historic area
size and decor of rooms, hotel in a quiet location, but minutes walk from town centre.
The personnel and the view from the window. The room decor was a strange yellow... not too pleasing on the eye
It was located in the old town and was close to everything. The room was extremely small. So small there was no room for our bags and they had to go on the floor at the foot of the bed with a small patch for walking past.
Its old worldly charm plus its proximity to the old centre of town Slight worries about how to exit hotel in fire with excess smoke - otherwise fine.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We felt we got very good value for money. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice with flat screen TV and 3 complimentary drinks (still water, sparkling water & orange juice) in the minibar which was a nice touch. We took our hotel towels to the pool one morning & they had been replaced when we got back to the room no hassle. The pool area is small but very pleasant for relaxing for a few hours. It was quiet during the afternoon but was busy in the morn & eve so important to get down early to get a sun lounger. One of the great things about the hotel is the free parking which is a great saving in France. As in all the hotels in France breakfast is expensive so we didn't avail of it but if you have a car there is a carrefour supermarket just 5 mins drive up the road. The hotel is a 12 min drive approx from the city centre so too far for walking really. It didn't bother us as we had a car but there is a tram stop near the hotel.
The small but nice spa, delicious breakfast in the room A bit understaffed (e.g. the spa area)
The standard of food and service by the staff was excellent. They were caring and helpful with local details.
Parcheggio moto gratuito e I servizi dell'hotel
Very friendly and welcoming staff. A good position to the west of Montpellier. Comfortable and quiet rooms. A reasonably priced restaurant.
Very conveniently located to A9 highway Since the hotel's focus is on business customers, not tourists, getting assistance with things like churches and services times and restaurants was challenging at best and very frustrating at worst.
A relaxing place to stay and the electrical black out shutter made a lie in easier. The liesure facilities were a pleasant suprise as they were better than expected. Further from town and beaches than descibed on the website. The airport transfer stopped at 18.00 and did not run at all over the weekend, very disapointing. Bus route 16 is close by however the tram services was further then expected
Quiet location Not a nice environment and located quite far from the city centre
Easy booking, good location, friendly staff. Shabby hotel - everything is old and grimy - stains and spots on carpets and bedspreads, overhead lightbulb not strong enough to read in bed, doors difficult to open, garbage pail in the bathroom too small, furniture cheap and barely standing up.
bedding clean served its purpose a little seedy and basic
Close to station, neat and tidy room. Close to main sights. Aircon. Couldnt communicate much in English
Central location, close to station and city centre, restaurants, etc. No lift
Good location No elevator
Location and parking discount The price was 10€ more than on the page and poor furniture and old building.
staff was friendly. hotel room with window right next to two large Airco machines: lots of noise. Small room, interior not very attractive. Bed half broken, very small bathroom, the sink touches the door when closed: no room to stand anywhere.
The receptionist was very polite and extremely helpful The beds were quite short and unconfortable if you are taller than 5.7ft.
central location, cheap price, availability in peak season very small bathroom
Location is the only thing going for this hotel-- close to train, tram, theater, restaurants. ok for a late arrival/early departure. Difficult to find, no lift, no English speakers, filthy carpet, tiny bathroom, tired ambiance.
Close to public transport and ease of getting into Montpellier city and out again. The hotel was very new and had a few teething problems but nothing major. It needs to be signposted because it was impossible to find - it looked like a block of units in a street of units and noone knew where it was.
good price and quality. aside the city but well connected. Quite and comfortable
Nothing We were given 3 rooms before they found one that was clean and ready. We needed to be near the airport and it was a long way from both the airoport and down town,
There are good professional staff on this hotel, but there are also someones really rude, it is a shame. We arrive before at 10:30, and the checking is at 17:00, we did not expect to get the room, but at last some help or information from the reception, and what the receptionist told us was: "If the checking is at 17:00, park on the street and come back at 17:00". Also found a dirty towell on bath
The hotel staff could not do enough for you and always willing to help. Although slightly out of town, the hotel is only 10minutes walk from Occitanie tram station. The use of the tram is excellent for getting around town and only a 10 minute ride to the rugby stadium. There is a supermarket, restuarant and petrol station 1 minute from the hotel which is extremely convenient. Overall, very good hotel It would be nice if breakfast could be served earlier than 7am if you needed an early start in the morning.
clean room, good location for my business trip. Walking distance from a small commercial centre. Cold room, no additional covers. Inefficient heating system.
The room is very good and breakfast is worth for the money Reception is poor in English and not very friendly and the location is in remote area. Unable to find it without GPS
there is no room service, and the matress was not confortable. It was not very well cleaned in general
I liked the room nothing
The hotel was OK except the internet did not work. The staff were not very friendly. Typical rude french people.
being by the sea is the attraction of this hotel, the restaurant was good , we had pizza. where do i start ? The bathroom was impossible to use, it was so small that when you sat on the toilet your legs were actually in the bedroom ( nice and private then ) there is a shelf so close above the sink that you cant actually use the sink to have a wash, and the smell was horrible, my T.V was on the wall above a wardrobe so you could only see half the screen and there was dust everywhere on the furniture , so new cleaners needed !!, they are obviously trying to improve the rooms but the workmanship is way below standard or exceptable, bad joints on woodwork leaving sharp edges etc but my worst complaint is that all the bedroom doors did not fit properly so they all rattle and bang throughout the whole hotel , very noisy no sleep!
The owner was exceptionally gracious.
Good location in front of the beach, not in the first line, but still a nice view, in particular from the breakfast terrace. Very small room to be considered a triple.
Good location, friendly staff, good resturant & atmosphere.
Great location on the beach but about 2km walk to the main area of the town. the showers could do with some updating
near to the sea price quality ratio unfair, 60 instead of 80 € would be ok
The sea view. Good aircon. Restaurant was good. Drain odours in the bathroom. Broken light in the bathroom left shower very dark. Could not be fixed. Was given a standard lamp for one day (to be plugged in!) but it disappeared the day after. Poor quality toilet seat. Breakfast poor value (even orange juice was 'nectar'). No nearby alternatives. We were told smell was 'normal' . Second room didn't smell. Charged more for twin than double.
Breakfast is served on a terras with view of the sea. Very nice!
Friendly, welcoming, courteous, helpful staff. Lovely terrace overlooking nearby beach. Restaurant on premises. Air conditioning. On site parking available. Close to bus stop. A bit expensive: 10 euro extra for seaview.
location is excellent and with excellent restaurant next door this is idle relaxing beach coast hotel.
perhaps show a map of the hotel's proximity to the town cenyre
good friendly service internet facility would be handy
very quiet, staff helpful no
Particularly friendly staff and a great location. Fairly dated décor and poor lighting in the bathroom.
The service is more than excellent!! The hotel stuff is always very kind & friendly. They do their best to fulfill any of your wishes!
Good location, cleanliness, friendly staff/owners and above average breakfast (for France) It would have been nice with a hair dryer (which I believe they have in some of their rooms, but not all). The beds were too firm for us, but may not be for others..
Friendly and attentive service, good location, easy access to the city and secure parking. Air conditioning would be a bonus
The location is convenient, and staff was really great! Unfortunately, we don't know their names, but one hostess recommend us a nice restaurant (thanks for Chez Boris), and another one kindly recommended very nice beach (thanks for Petit Travers)! Definitely stay this place when visiting Montpellier again.
The staff were so nice and helpfull. Although a little out of the town centre a tram service passes in the adjacent road connecting to the railway station A little bit basic perhaps for the money
Hotel only 5 minutes walk from tram stop in quiet residential area. Breakfast very good and substantial although we thought a little expensive at 10 euros, however you don't have to travel far to the centre if you wish to eat elsewhere. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There was no hair dryer in room. Could have done with one as minimal luggage taken on plane to keep costs down.
Nice old rustic hotel.Near to tram and old town.Breakfast in room if you fancy. Towels and bed cover a bit shabby.
Partially English-speaking and very helpful, good air con & bathroom facilities. Room did not have a balcony as offered via online booking; might not be hotel's fault tho... Difficult to find if driving due to various one way systems and proximity to major traffic area.
The building was old.
Nice location close to Vieux Ville Poor breakfast
The beautiful garden in front of the hotel, staff, calm neighbourhood, near the centre of the town
The room was clean and nicely done up with high ceilings. It is close to the old city and we could easily walk over. No lift, but the room was only 1 floor up so it wasn't a problem
Old fashioned charm centrally located but difficult to find by car in the one way system. Faded, in need of redecoration.
They claimed not to receive reservation (which was done 24 hours in advance), very unpolite and unwilling to help
Friendly staff, nice simple room, good bathroom. The place looked a bit delapidated. High-carb breakfast (like in most places in France).
lovely, well furnished room overlooking exotic garden and tabled area of bamboo, vines and other well established greenery. an interesting building with charm and historic appeal. we arrived late, let the staff know we were delayed and were given entry code and a taxi number should we need it - as it happened we were by then quite close to the hotel - and the key left in our door when we finally arrived - for which we were very grateful to their consideration and support. would definitely book again.
Good cleaness. Apparently the rooms were designed by the same person who did designed the lunar module of Apollo 11: the same amount of space inside both.
Very Good !
It is convenient situated close to the hospital. Food is good (in short term) Much too expensive for what it is.
Parking good, supermarket close by Room was smelly and the rooms could do with a new coat of paint
Parking next to the hotel, good wifi connection,
