I liked experiencing what life might have been like in a castle.
Impressive building in an excellent location with strong historical links as with so many of the Paradors. Apart from the breakfast which is very good even if over-priced, dinner in the evening is often a disappointment being somewhat pretentious and well over-priced especially so given the very small portions offered. Better to eat out for lunch and dinner.
nice location and close to motorway.spacious room. good price for out of season. might be expensive in season. nice small town and plenty to visit restaurant too expensive(like in big cities)for what you get ,as well as wine.. my remarks in my booking were not transmitted(1 person instead of 2) in your site it was impossible to book a single room!
the hotel is in a castle, large and clean room the staff were not very nice.
It is a beautifully restored castle, with great views located in an interesting historical town. The prices were very high and the evening meal was not really worth the high cost. Left my watch behind and they requested 40 euros to send it on to me!
I had wished that the staff spoke better english!
Great location. Castle close to the city center with beautiful atmosphere. City itself also quite nice to walk through and the cathedral was impressive to visit.Nice restaurants as well. The rooms were not as classic as what one would expect when one stays in a castle.
a beautiful historical site, castle. Nice village. very little information available on hotel (history etc) and the surroundings (village and natural environment)
Staying in a castle is always nice... The bathroom was not really up to date.
Pleasant waitress serving good breakfast, but..... rest of staff miserable and uncommunicative, they tried to fob us off with a dismal cramped room when the hotel was nowhere near full; we changed to another, and the shower was broken. No sign of the owner. We stayed last year and enjoyed it, we shan't go again.
Excellent location being close to motorway but in a quiet historic hilltop village. Agree with all other reviews about breakfast service. One nice lady server is not enough for the size of this hotel.
Lovely spot the room was very cosy and homely Restaurant v expensive so we eat round the corner. Breakfast good but service dire - who wants to wait 15 minutes for their cofee!
A lovely little Hotel in beautiful mountain top village. Very close to nearby autoroutes and some nice places to eat in the village.
The hotel is in a nice area and close to some roman ruins.
lovely hotel set on the top of the world looking down through the valley below.Staff where very helpful, without been in your face, nothing was a problem
Las paredes son de papel, se oye todo.
The owner went out of his way to introduce himself to us and make us feel welcome.
Very welcoming, spoke English and provided us with English menus. Excellent value. Restaurant was very good with typical Spanish dishes. The spa was a little expensive, so we decided not to use it.
We enjoyed the place it was nice and peaceful. The food was good and the whole area is beautiful. We went the beginning of November the weather was good to stroll around the quiet town.
Its location in a tiny, charming village with sweeping views over completely unspoilt Castilian countryside. The food - delicious evening meal and good breakfast. The guides in the room giving suggestions for walks from the hotel. Very welcoming and assiduous owner and helpful and friendly staff. A special place. Two small points which didn't detract from what was overall a great experience - from a first impressions perspective the big metal entrance doors appeared rather forbidding. Also maybe the garden immediately behind the hotel could be tidied up a bit without losing its overgrown charm!
Hotel and surroundings were so peaceful and the lovely helpful staff. Shame it was only an overnight stay! Only thing missing that may have been useful for a longer stay was a minibar in our room.
