Pros: The house has been renovated beautifully with exquisite attention to detail. The communal living room is stunning, and the views from the terrace are amazing. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was meticulously clean, a good size and the shower was modern and very powerful. Best of all was the host who was super friendly, informative and couldn't have been more helpful, they even provided a laundry service for us on request which was so kind of them and very much appreciated by us. The breakfast had more choices than most places I've stayed. I haven't given a perfect score ever before but the Maison Paillet definitely deserves it. Lovely peaceful location with lots of great walks in the local area. Thanks for a fantastic stay.
Cons: Nothing at all
Pros: Our room was wonderful, a completely modern fit out in the attic of the original barn. We enjoyed the living room downstairs, a huge comfortable room with great attention to detail in it’s renovation, particularly in the stone and wood work. The living room lead out to a patio with wonderful views and a very pretty spring garden. We enjoyed talking to David he made us and our bicycles very welcome.
Pros: The view from the bedroom window at dawn and dusk. The kind way Tottie washed my muddy clothes when I fell in a boggy patch on a wayside path. The figs from the garden for breakfast.
Pros: We had a wonderfully spacious room on the first floor with a fabulous balcony. The balcony overlooked the town Montory on one side and further across the landscape on the other. Our bed was very comfortable and we had a small sitting area as well. Breakfast was very welcoming with newly warmed croissants, a well done pot of tea, fresh pot of coffee and the usual suspects of jam, ham and cheese. We felt well looked after!
Cons: The shower handle was reverse so that was a tad confusing :). In France C is hot and it was an English H & C instead of C & F perhaps?
Pros: The host was charming. The location andviews suberb
Cons: The sign for Maison Paillet could have been earlier on the track.
Pros: Breakfast absolutelly delicious, all ingredients were from proximity. Wonderfull views and full calm arround. The couple is so kind and they attended me as i were at their home. All the house is rustic with very nice style decoration.
Cons: Nothing to say.
Pros: David, the host, has been very kind and polite all the time. Thank you David. The maison, the garden, the rooms, the views, landscapes... amazing! We have felt overwhelmed. Looking at the stars in the silent night has been a pinch of luxury we could enjoy. Thanks for all. We will repeat the experience without a doubt.

Pros: Everything! The location is tranquil with a lovely view over the town and adjacent hills. The room was spacious, bed very comfortable. Some lovely touches in the room like a changing mat for our infant son, a really good hairdryer, good selection of hot drinks etc. The food in the hotel restaurant was truly excellent.
Cons: Nothing I can think of. Highly recommended!
Pros: We were walking the Vieu du Piemont and decided to book at a hotel. Even though we were not “luxury” guests, we were treated like royalty. The staff helped us call ahead for further accommodations and answered all our inquires.
Cons: Since we were walking, the climb up the hill was long and hard, but that has nothing to do with the hotel.
Pros: Fab location and warm welcome. Good food and wide bed.
Cons: Nothing, but we think there should be more of its history on display and access for guests to the Chapel
Pros: The staff, particularly Linda (I believe that was her name, native English speaker), was especially helpful and went above and beyond to assist us. She was patient and kind when we kept asking questions.
Cons: We were pilgrims so we were on foot and walking up the hill to the hotel was a bit tiring after a long day. However, the welcome we received and the amazing views made up for it tenfold!
Pros: Newly refurbished. Very clean. Spacious rooms, good bedding. Family rooms ideal for family of 4. Friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast was not worth the money, coffee was not good, and very limited choice of food.
Pros: Domaine Agerria - is an old monastery converted to a modern quality hotel - It's grounds and the views of the surrounding area are amazing. Staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast was first rate (esp. the "Gateau Basque")
Pros: beautiful outlook and lovely staff
Pros: Freshly renovated very large rooms. Excellent bathrooms . Quiet position above town with glorious views . Old world atmosphere
Cons: Public spaces poor. Unwelcoming Reception only access is at the back of the hotel via car park. Needs to be redesigned on ground floor at main door with a lounge area. The staff are well intentioned but untrained, sometimes abrupt.
Pros: Nice food, excellent staff, very clean comfortable room
Cons: Not much

Pros: Very welcoming and helpful. Great location. Good value restaurant in the village. Bonus.
Pros: Location location location
Pros: A lovely manageress, a nice bright room, very good value for money.
Cons: Nothing, all good!
Pros: Small pretty village with an excellent restaurant two minutes walk from the hotel, open six days a week. Very helpful to have use of shared kitchen and dining room when we wanted to do our own meal.
Cons: Would be useful to know in advance which day the restaurant is closed as there is nothing else nearby.
When you stay at Auberge de l'Etable in Montory, you'll be 13 minutes by car from Aventure Parc Aramits. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Friendly staff secure parking and good restaurant on site
Pros: Lovely place. Great food
Pros: Good restaurant and really comfy bed !
Pros: Comfortable stay, with good parking. The restaurant served an excellent evening meal although breakfast the following morning was a little sparse as others have commented. If you have the opportunity the short walk to the church is a must.
Pros: nice quiet location
Cons: restaurant closed on Tuesdays, so had to drive to Arette to find food. A little complicated after a long drive. Difficult to get into the hotel thru electronic door lock and had to phone for help.
Pros: I think the breakfast was disappointingly meagre. Pretty much bread croissant basic refined cereal and coffee. Not great.
Cons: More choice at breakfast which I have found at other hotels in the area. Some fruit and cheese perhaps.
Pros: Restaurant offers great local food at good prices.. Staff are v helpful
Cons: Unfriendly welcome because staff too stressed. Tiny room. Menu card expensive in view of price-value. Sorry, a French breakfast for 8 € should offer more than a croissant, a piece of baguette, butter and marmelade. At least there was coffee.
Pros: A good place to stay, This Hotel has a great restaurant.
Cons: Getting charged for breakfast that we did not have.
Pros: Fantastic stay. Restaurant was excellent. Food prepared with love and very reasonably priced. Staff was super nice and helpful and cyclist friendly. Highly recommend.

Pros: The room itself was comfortable and sleeps 4; the brand new bath/shower looked like a spaceship, although we didn't stay long enough to use it; the room and bathroom were clean. The host was very accommodating given that we arrived in the middle of the night when she wasn't expecting us.
Cons: We ended up here because we made a mistake with another booking and found ourselves at 11pm without a place to stay. Chambre au Pays-Basque was advertised as having a 24 hour reception. The accommodation turned out to be much more like an AirBnB than anywhere else we stayed. The host has made an upstairs room in her house into a guest room. Because we made the online booking at 11pm and arrived at 12.30am, the host understandably wasn't expecting us. The location advertised on Booking is misleading and we had to drive up and down the street for 30 minutes until we found the house by matching it with the photo on Booking. It was probably 600m away or more from where the Booking map showed. We then knocked on the door and woke the host who apologised for the fact that we had to walk through her living room that hadn't been cleaned. In the morning, the host had to go out to do errands and asked us to just pull the door closed after us. Given that it was fairly basic, the accommodation wasn't particularly cheap compared to our other experiences.
