Friendly staff, good English spoken, breakfast and dinner excellent, car parking on site. Close to Sinsheim and Speyer Technolgy Meuseums.
convenient next to train station
I was comfortable in my stay and the staff are very nice not at all
Friendly owner and staff, lovely breakfast. Excellent location next to railway station (S Bahn) for exploring nearby historic towns and cities (Speyer, Heidelberg, etc).
Very friendly staff, spacy room, cuddly towels and very good breakfast. Very good value for money. I arrived late. Unfortunately the room to the restaurant downstairs was open, hence you could hear the noise (until midnight) and the typical smell of a beer tavern was all over the staircase and the room (I opened the window, but in winter this woud be fairly difficult).
Amazing hotel staff, very polite. Free internet in all rooms is great and also food is very good. No
I stayed on business, the hotel link to manheim is two minutes away, very peacefull location with some excellant towns nearby recommended by the owner and staff, good wifi.to conclude the staff are great
Very pleasant staff. Everything just "in ordnung". Quite good connection to Mannheim. Not really new hotel, location in the suburbs.
warm welcome.clean, comfortable room. very good breakfast.
My unexpectedly early check in was accomodated nicely Nothing. Everything was okay.
Great location, whole new object.
Location close to city center easy access from autobahn The lack of onsite parking is a severe handicap not helped by confusingly signed public parking
Good location, nice clean room and kind reception staff. It was slight difficult to find a car parking area. Hopefully bath.
The hotel was in a typical turn of the centry building, but with all the modern necessities of a modern hotel. Very nice, comfortable architecture. The hotel was also very close to the city center (5 min walk through a beautiful garden). Internet in the lobby was also available and free. No complaints at all.
spacious rooms, very modern and luxury bathroom, wooden floors (clean)
inside architecture and space proportions, deco color schemes quality of materials and outfits Very pleasant for the connoisseur
Pleasent location and facilities
Very nice hotel and specially very friendly people in the front. My room was big, clean, with a very nice view. It is very easy to find and it has a parking place connected to the hotel, so you can access your car without walking too much (safe from rain). The breakfast was not included.
Central location was good and staff was friendly, The hotel was being renovated however I never heard a thing in the room. This is my second time in this hotel! I was not informed of the hotel renovations.. luckly they were very understanding and very quiet.
Very quiet ! Not enough international TV channels
Selection of Hotels in Mannheim is small - this is the most convenient and comfortable one.
Spa facilities, friendly staff Very slow service of dinner in hotel restaurant, I would not recomend anybody ti try to have dinner there
Very good spa. Relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. Exellent breakfast. Are 4 star hotels always understaffed nowadays? This was the second one where nobody offered to carry our luggage to the rooms. Had to get a baggage cart and do it by myself upon arrival and when leaving.
the spa, suna swimming facility is very good. The hotel location with good relax lake surrounding. Resurtant is good when we were there the elavator is not working we have to move our luggage to 2nd floor.
Everything was very good. The bathroom has no door !
good hotel but location is average.
The service was efficient, it's location pefect for our visit to Hockenheim. The facilities are good, food quality is also good.
Modern and nice hotel, good location! Nice staff, good value for money!
Early Bird price, free computer to use It would have been nice to have public transit information sent with confirmation, e.g., taking train from Frankfurt airport disembarking in Mannheim at the Hauptbahnhof stop and tram directions from Hauptbahnhof to the hotel, including tram multi-use ticket fares.
This was our second stay at a well run hotel in a central position that is perfect for both sightseers and those who have business in the city area. On both occasions we have been troubled by overheating of the hotel in quite mild weather. It seems silly, and wasteful, to have to use the room air conditioner to counter the central heating, which we have found particularly overpowering in hallways. Breakfast is expensive at 15E when you cannot put it on the office expense account. Better to eat out.
The cleanliness, location and comfort of bed I did not like the clear bathroom door. Not enough privacy for use.
breakfast was great parking at extra payment 12 euro, bed little bit too soft
The location was great to get to the centrum, staff was friendly and the hotel was very clean. Food not available on the weekends and no room service or fridge in the room.
The welcoming was good and the hotel very clean. Decoration was nice. Very good situation in the city. I had to wait so long for check in, the door of the bathroom was transparent and the room very small for the price I pay. Unfortunately they had to work at 10 am very close to my room and so I left earlier than I thought because the noise was impossible to stand!
I loved this hotel, modern big clean rooms, excellent breakfast, excellent value. After staying in some hotels in e.g. Denmark that were double the price and half as good, I really enjoyed this place. Only snag - a bit far from the train station. But this hotel is great.
the facilities, the shower in particular...
The hotel was new, so the interior was modern too. I like that. One of my reasons to choose for Mercure Hotel mannheim am Rathaus. The temperature of the shower was fluctuating a lot. Then cold, then hot. Although I knew that there was no bath in the room, I always like to have a bath instead of only a shower. Censurship on the internetcomputer is something I canNOT appreciate. I could not visit some gay orientated sites. I do not like that at all that Mercure decides what is appropiate to see on the internet or not. I felt discriminated by that!
Nice pool; great location for shopping; clean, comfortable room Parking garage is a bit small
The location is perfect, rooms are very clean and buffet breakfast is excellent.I found it was very good value for money and I would recommend this hotel to everyone
You have to pay to use the internet, that is so dumb when it is so simple for the hotel to provide. Also, having so many English speakers visiting the hotel, there was only one channel for English and that was CNN.
Customer service was excellent and the room as you would expect from a Holiday Inn (or hotel of similar type).
Most important is one key per person. Not one between two. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Central location of hotel. One very small detail. Shower would not get hotter than luke warm. Not a big deal.
Nice straff and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel was good situated in the citycentrum
My room was nice, quiet and clean. Nice furniture and bathroom. Excellent location, only a few steps away from the Wasserturm, pedestrian zone, shops, cinemas, etc. I walked there from the station, so this is also very near. Staff was professional and friendly. Maybe bathroom supplies should be IN the room, without guests having to ask for them. I arrived quite late and really didn't want to wait for someone bringing them to me, and all I found in the bathroom was shower gel and soap. Only German channels on TV (but pay TV was available). Finally, for those prices maybe a small breakfast should be inluded in the price (18 euros is way too much).
Elevator and Escalator was not working upon arrival. Had to walk up two flights of stairs with bags in order to check in.
The location was great. There were plenty of stores and restaurants in the local area. The pool was a lot of fun. It was a little difficult to find the hotel. The beds were too hard.
Location, English speaking staff Had to pay for parking
Staff was vey friendly. There was a mouse running around the lobby and bar area. The staff was aware and seemed undisturbed.
I hope to came to germanty and stay a gine in this hotel
The employees and facility. Josaphine at the reception desk is wonderful. Everything was super
Staff was very courteous, friendly and helpful.
Lovely restaurant with excellent food and service. Rooms were very nice. Rooms were very warm the first night so difficult to sleep
Very helpful and friendly staff. Room very well equipped. Very clean hotel. Requested non-smoking room at booking but was put into a smoking room. Much to our disgust. Service at breakfast not as good as in some other hotels.
Location Air conditioning not working
Everything was great
Staff, Great attention to all my requests, especially Karina from the restaurant, excellent attention and kindness to speak in my lenguage (spanish). Small tv.
Gym was not really a gym, pool was very small.
Size of Room Nothing
There was a festival in town for the two days that we were at this hotel and we had a great time. The hotel also has a restaurant and beer garten right next door that had very good food and suds! Couldn't use the shower, it was too small!
Fabulous position right by the Cathedral and town centre and walking distance to both the historical museum (don't miss the Golden Hat) and the technical museum with the Buran (Russian equivalent of the US Shuttle) in it. Building is very old and wonderfully quiet and atmospheric No
The location is great for walks through the town and to points of interest.
Easily accessible, central location, superb breakfast Somewhat surly staff at reception on arrival
The atmosphere and the location were exceptional. The restaurant and beer garden were superb. Breakfast was the best I had anywhere for my entire 14 day trip to Europe. Trying to find the exact location was difficult but other than navigating in our car everything else was wonderful.
Breakfast in the courtyard, tour of the Dom and the Kaissertafel fest. The noise from staff early in the morning.
attractive position ;proximity to the Dom; secure parking; only one very thin pillow
Wonderful old building. Lovely courtyard It added to the atmosphere but was difficult to sleep through the noise of the cathedral chimes! Luckily stopped at about 2am
Great spacious room in great location, bonus views of Dom.
Hotel is spacious, has a free parking. After 11 o'clock there is just stuff from the bar to help you if there is something wrong in the room. Like I had a bathroom heater broken, and the guy didn't know how to repair it. On the other hand he was helpful
The staff were excellent and the sparking wine on arrival was a bit of a treat. The room was spacious and the bathroom facilities were very good. On site parking was a major factor in choosing accommodation on this trip. While there a trip into Ladenburg township is a must. This hotel seeks to atract business for conferences etc yet it does not have free access to WiFi which is readily available in budget hotels. Get with the 21st century people.
Excellent dinner at reasonable price. XL breakfast. Very kind and professional staff. Reserved parking space for women was a nice plus. The room was maybe a bit too noisy but that depends I guess from the other guests - not the hotel itself...
Relativly Cheap The Bed and pillows are not comfortable
sauna and sport room When I checked in I had to wait for 1 hour but it's not important......when I checked out there was a mistake in the hotel bill (+50 euro...it's really not very fine).. but when I came back home the hotel contested me the failure to appear ahhh behhh that's absurd!!!!!!!
One point. Although I specifically asked whether breakfast was included in the room rate and received an affirmative answer, I got charged 15 euro per person for breakfast while check-out.
Loved the old town near by.
In general OK No gym at the hotel, a bit difficult to park
Facilities, ie sauna, were very good. Restaurant was a bit pricey.
The stay was extremely comfortable, members of staff were very pleasant, The resturant manager Christian, was the highlight of the stay, always very welcoming, made you feel important to him and was very pleased every time he saw us. Always a lift at the end of a hard day away from the hotel. Fantastic, wish more people were like him
I had my dinner in the restaurant. A smiling and welcoming waiter took good care of me. Besides that the food was very good. Comparred to other hotels, I think, that the room was very small. I had a single room, as it was booked for 1 person.
Paid for a "superior" room with "free movies and a small corner for coffee and tee," but received a standard room without those amenities. Did not notice difference until after checkout.
Helpful friendly staff with excellent English.
Quiet place not far from Mannheim Rooms rather small
The breakfast. The bathroom. Small room - converted loft space on the top floor. Restaurant closed at 10pm when we checked in. No nearby facilities. In the middle of nowhere.
I believe that I was given a smaller room than I paid for and the gym was out of use.
Helpful, friendly staff all spoke excellent English. Nice clean hotel with good facilities. Recommended.
The room was a bit too small, I expected a bathtuub in the bathroom since it was classified as a 4 star hotel. Difficult to park outside but eventually I found one. Breakfast room was crowded and some plates were empty
food and staff view from window - but could not be helped...
Large rooms, comfortable beds, clean and nice staff Dated decor, old TV, and breakfast wasn't great for the price
IT's comfortable, just around the corner from the Railway Station, at the same town the locations is queit and safe. The rooms are very beautiful and clean. The price is high, but it doesn't include breakfast
outdated design, paid wireless internet that then didn't function, no towels in the fitness area, no possibility to iron shirts after 22.00 (ironing room was locked)
The room was splinded and very big (Plenty of space). The hotel in general have a good design an nice layout. The breakfast was not worth the money (17 € p.P). It was basic and you could have a much better breakfast with less money.
This hotel like most in Mannheim is overpriced. A good base for the city centre. Arrived on Sunday evening to be told that the restaurant is not open.
Quiet and efficient in a great location
external sportsfacilities and free wifi no decent wifi reception in room
Efficient. Nice lunch in garden. Wake up call on time!
Centrally located. It is little bit below value for the rate. It should be cheaper.
Very difficult to find - in the pedestrial zone
A bit difficult parking.
Nice Bar with 3 rooms, good location and fantastic little town. Please be aware that this is on the 3rd floor and is up lots of stairs with a lot of noise in the day and at night. Don't go and stay if you want a quite time, just drink more in one of the bars below if you can't sleep. Even if 4 people stay they only give you 1 key and the room was not cleaned on our second night nor was the tea and coffee not restocked. Just needs a bit more attention to detail and then will be perfect which I would expect from the Germans.
Excellent location. Great comfortable room. Responsive staff. I really enjoyed this place and hope to be back again.
Clean modern rooms and very quiet and peaceful. Room cleaning service excellent. There was no reception as such, you had to get your key etc in the bar/restaurant on the street so it would be difficult if you needed any hotel services out of bar hours, there was no other contact point.
It was a place to sleep but noisy at night My room was not cleaned on tuesday, it was on the 2nd floor and the steps bad to navigate wjth luggage on the way down, I feel it was about 10 euro's to much.
very nice modern appartment style room in a brilliant location in the town
Very nice facilities and located in the heart of the city.
Didn't have the breakfast as felt 15 euros was expensive.
Staffs are all so kind and having a very good hospitality. The working desk in a room is a little sticky, maybe because of some candy...
The Hotel is situated in a great spot, 5 min walk from the train station,5 min walk from the shopping centre, and the trams are only 2 minute walks away.. no, great hotel..
All good, except for WiFi charges I think the charges for for WiFi, 24 Euros for 48 hours are way over the top, this was was my 6th. Hotel in 5 weeks of traveling in Germany, Austria, Italy and France and the cost was 300% more than 2 of the Hotels and 3 others were free!
spotless clean, very friendly welcome, friendly staff no
Everything was perfectly acceptable and very good value Nothing
The relaxed atmoshere. No hotel parking, although I was able to park within 100yards.
Close to Luisen Park, one of the most beautiful parks in Europe, staff was friendly, room facilities (e.g. tea, teapot, shoe shine) above expectations. Wifi Internet was a bit expensive, 12 euro for 24 hours.
The reception staff were particularly helpful in obtaining taxis quickly for us whenever we needed them.
Good location. Original room not liked but staff readily transferred us to a much superior room. Staff very helpful. We did not take breakfast as it was too expensive at Eur15 each. There was no air conditioning in either of the rooms we had.
The owners are very amiable and helpful and the breakfast staff too always greeted you warmly as well. Although this is a bit of a "bare bones" operation, you did not feel treated that way. It was exactly what I expected -- a clean hotel, very centrally located in Speyer but on a quiet street. Lovely breakfast spread included. Clean, hot shower with soap and shampoo and extra towels on request. Tv and blow dryer worked perfectly fine.
Good breakfast choice; courteous staff; unobtrusive but effective room cleaning
everything was just fine. nothing
Staff was wonderful, spoke English, very accomodating
Quiet location but still close to centre Very helpful engish speaking staff
