Superbly situated and appointed hotel with first class staff and service. I doubt if anyone would be disappointed with their stay here. Unreservedly recommended. A guest in an adjoining room had a dog which barked rather too much for my liking. I was surprised a hotel of this standard allowed animals in the rooms. It's a shame, everything else was excellent.
While maybe not a 5 star in terms of the rooms, the hotel provides excellent service, friendly staff and is not trying to charge you for every little extra service. We arrived at 3am in the morning and the receptionist straight away said they would only charge us for half a night the first night. Kids, if you have any eat for free until the age of 12 if the parents eat as well. Can fully recommend this hotel. It is also just 2 minutes away from the beautiful Holsteintor and 5 minutes walk to the centre of Lubeck, with the old Rathaus etc. Enjoy your stay!
The hotel is perfectly located for those who want to explore the beautiful city of Lubeck. We were lucky to have chosen this particular weekend as it saw the start of the local Christmas markets - a bonus for us! Nothing.
The Radisson Lubeck is perfectly situated both from an entry/exit to the main highway Hamburg-Munich as well as it is close to down town. The beds are very comfortable so sleep is easy to find.
This place was great. Great Pool, Location Great (right near old City), Great breakfast on Patio and food selection wow (Best Muesli ever had), Very helpful staff and modern amenities. Numerous parking spaces in front of the hotel.
Everything was just fine. Good location. Private and public parking, nothing wrong with public
Location, friendly staff, good value
The location to the centre of Luebeck , Holstentor, Congress Hall etc.. was perfect. The hotel was also easy to get to. The Hotel is quite old for the rate charged.
The hotel was very well furnished and comfortable. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Fabulous location and ideal for exploring the city centre.
We really liked the location on the beach and the Thermal next to the hotel. It would have been nice to have more restaurants to choose between.
Location staff and spa were excelent will definetky return No
The hotel was generally disappointing. The staff was not very friendly and service ineffective and slow. Breakfeast was ok (though the tables were not cleaned, you always had to try and catch one of the waiters hoping that they take away the used dishes from one of the empty tables) though too few baby chairs -in 8 days got one only twice- but the food in the restaurant in the evening was surprisingly bad, particularly taking into account the rather high prices. Our courses were mixed up, starters came after the main meal. The thermes were so full you could not find a place to lie down. They are public and very busy. Hotel carpark and garage were full. Only good thing about the hotel were the spacious rooms and the location at the beach.
This is the new hotel and that means new building, new furniture, new bathroom, etc. The hotel has a good location and offers the seaside view from the major number of rooms. There was a very nice breakfast at the hotel. The staying includes the Ostsee Terma entrance (via indoor passage). The hotel does not especially expect the foreign guests (little information available in English, no proper transfer to\from the hotel).
Included an direct access to "HolstenTherme" and the beach. Expensive but maybe worth the price. Use the "Raucher Lounge" as the name says and keep the bar smokefree. Hopeless for non-smokers in the bar.
The location is great. Food was exquisit. Hotel staff in the restaurant was slow and forgetful. It seemed to us that service personnel was mostly saisonal staff not interested in delivering excellent service. Cleaning of room was not done completely even once in 8 days. Hotel could not provide connected rooms for us which was very inconvenient travelling with three kids.
The friendly staff, clean, spacious rooms, closeness to the sea, the wonderful adjoining spa and town were all big factors for our family of four to want to be here again next yer.
Friendly staff and location.
From the start the staff was very friendly, we feld like king and queen, had a great diner and breakfast and will come back again.
We like everything, the nice view from our room, the pool, strand, everything!!!!
Certainly the surrounding. Hotel in need to renovate, derelict/heruntergekommen Convention Center Building, desperate need to upgrade facileties etc. Colour design very old fashion not the usual German standard.
The hotel is directly on the beach, where the Strandkoerber can be found. The view from the rooms is excellent and unobstructed, if one is at least 6 floors, or so, up. An east-side room provides an attractive view over the harbor & the boats departing and arriving. The room was set up very nicely for our toddler, a separate bed with a little stuffed animal and gummy bears - she was delighted! we appreciated the under-hotel parking with direct access to hotel, although there was a substantial wait for the single, tiny elevator serving the reception, each time we rode it! The front desk reception was, at times, typically North-German-reserved & not always helpful (when we arrived and tried to confirm an extra bed for our daughter, she flatly said " no, there is not one available, we are fully booked" although we had confirmed one earlier, and there proved to be one already prepared in our room). This we are used to here in Germany, but it is still somewhat disappointing. But overall, the stay was quite pleasant.
The spacious room, the balcony and the view; the downstairs bar/restaurant and the breakfast choice and service. The car park is confusing, and it seems a long way to walk with your belongings.
Avoid this place, Entirely unexplained proceedures prevent use of most facilities, the roof-top restaurant opens when the staff have nothing better to do, the internet connection is paid until noon but disconnected at the moment you pay even when use of the room continues and the staff then try to charge us again for the service you have already bought. A 1972 time-warp of decoration, let down by inadequate cleaning of the pink and black bathroom and total arrogance of the staff. There are far better hotels nearby.
View was very good. We liked also beach and Strandpromenade. Hotell was also peaceful. Weather was excellent (+28). There is no air-conditioning. In the future I'll choose only hotells with air-conditioning.
Close to Ferryport, private/secure parking, 24 hr. front desk. Front desk staff could use a smile and be more friendly.
Everything was to a very high standard and the location and views lovely
sauna and beach
Location is excellent bedding and pillows was not too good.
The view from our room, spectacular, room very comfortable,in one word:perfect
Hotel has perfect location,by the beach. Very clean, nice rooms, big balconies, exellent view. Very good buffet breakfast and friendly staff. July 2010
The sea view from the balcony was breathtaking; food was expensive but well worth it. Would definetly come again.... Smoking from the nxt balcony was not ideal as we asked for the non smoking room.
Very good location, nice rooms
Super place in Lûbeck. Fine parking. Quite place. We have orderet breakfast with glutenfree bread for my vife. For a 4 star hotel, it was poor with only one sort of bread - absolute not ok for this hotel.
Good contemporary design, comfortable rooms and public areas, good food, great service. Pillows - too hard. Everything else was fine!
A ultra modern hotel situated in the city center. Clean, comfortable with a breakfastbuffet with everything you can desire.
good location, cenral to our interests.
the hotel was very modern and well situated, although road works we're going on outside, road access to the hotel/parking wanst a problem. The check in staff were fine as were the bar staff.
Lovely bed, and good and quiet air condition. Nice design. With a lovely flatscreen Tv, it was really bad that there were no international TV channels unless i paid 11 Euros for 12 hours. Tv was not used becaus of this. I really wanted to lie in bed and see TV.
Beds are excellent, breakfast fine in relation to price. Quiet during the night. No free /wireless internet in rooms (Cabel in hall + 5€ for a box).
Really tidy and a great buffet for breakfast
Room was equipped with air conditioning and directly across from the train/bus station and within 15 min walk of town center. No power adapters available. No wireless internet available.
Location was good
The room was quite large and it had a nice bathroom. The breakfast buffet has a really wide range of choice and the quality and quantity was excellent. At the check out they give you a marzipan gift, and it is really nice to receive it even if it's a small thing. The staff is helpful and kind. The position is perfect: a minute from the train and bus station and 8 from the Rathause.
Cleanliness Very convenient for city centre, station, bus
Excellent breakfast, airy and comfortable rooms, friendly staff. No laundry facilities - washing becomes necessary while travelling, especially when on a 5 week trip. This comment applies to most of the places we stayed. Off site laundry facilities were also difficult to locate.
clean and staff very helpful. Its also such a perfect location for the station and airport bus
It's location, cleanliness, comfort and friendly staff No
comfortable, reasonable price, good breakfast, located close to bus and train stations
Location close to my next days work
Good wifi, good TV Slow elevators
We did like the hot water in the swimingpool very much. The break fast was very good. It was very near the chrismas market. The heatingsystem was not easy to make heat.
Very good breakfast. You need to chance towels at the room every day.
everything, the city, my company
Location Have to pay for breakfast, while other Scandic Hotel's in chain you do not.
Excellent location - near the old city but outside its walls, wery quiet. Nice friendly staff, quick service, clean comfortable rooms.
It is near the town
Polite staff, spotless good sized room, first class breakfast included
Variety of breakfast food and quality Scalding hot water in bathroom which was reported as dangerous. Poor reception for TV
The room was quiet The room furnishings could use an update
the bed, pillow, featherbed, size of room, breakfast, breakfast room blue bathtub
The Hotel his not 4 stars. It's really old.
Nice rooms and location
breakfast was very nice and swimming pool + sauna were excellent only 5 minutes walk to town did not find the pillow very comfortable
The staff is very friendly and helpful
I found the hotel staff EXCELLENT, I arrived late on a Sunday night the service we received from the Receptionist was probably the best I have ever experienced. . TRULY EXCELLENT SERVICE!
High standard of comfort and service. Good breakfast, if not quite as good as some years ago. We have been staying at this hotel for over 40 years and shall continue to do so.
The pillows and the featherbed. the breakfast room. the breakfast itself. the size of the room. the Sunday night supper in the dining room
a) Location, beside the main railway station, was very convenient. b)Very good choice of food at breakfast. We requested single beds, to be told on arrival that the hotel does not have singles.(To be fair, the double bed was wide.)
Easy to find next to the station a short walk to the old town. Excellent facilities and a friendly staff who could not have been more helpful and made our stay an enjoyable experience. No
Cleaness of the hotel and kindness of the staff. Everything is new and confortable. It is in a strategic position to visit Luebeck and it is well connected with public transport Breakfast too expensive in comparison with the price of the room!
Fast and efficient staff, new and nice room, good and central location near the railwaystation A small mini-bar in the room would have been nice
I thought the service would suffer due to the recent opening but I founf the staff incredibly helpful and polite. I had an awful migraine on the Saturday night and didn't have paracetamol. I went to reception and they gave me some and I felt better within a couple of hours to enjoy Copenhagen! The room was fantastic and the bed and bedding was amazingly comfotable... so much so I slept through my boyfriend's snoring for once! The only thing I would've wanted was the capacity to print out my flight boarding confirmation. We had to go, on the kind advice of the staff, to the internet cafe by the station. I thought that a couple of computer stations and printer would be easily placed in the lounge. The luggage lockers were a fantastic idea. Many thanks for a great stay and we will see you soon.
Perfect for purpose - good location, staff helpful and practical.
Fine hotel. Just around the corner from the train station. Breakfast is a little expensive (16 euros), but then you get a very large and varied buffet, including champagne (!). Rooms have a fairly good size (I stayed in a single room).
Helpful, friendly and polite staff, mostly English speaking. Very convenient for bus/train stations and Hamburg AIrport shuttle bus. Some shopping in immediate area. Excellent restaurant. Space in the room was a little tight. The centre (old town) is a little walk away, but not too far for most. Entrance is via steps - I did not notice any disabled access.
comfort cleanliness bathroom no tea/coffee making facilities in room - breakfast expensive - safe did not work
excellant location booked a double room, however found 2 single beds pushed together and 2 single duvets. When we asked at reception for a double duvet we were told that you did not get this in german hotels.
The staff was nice and helpful. The hotel was cosy and breakfast good.
A nice casual atmosphere; good value for the price; good location; comfortable rooms that were not too overdone in decoration the location of the stairs
The friendly lady at reception so welcoming upon our arrival.
Quiet room. Lovely breakfast.
hotel interior all up-to-date, comfortable and classic in design; clean, however wiped finger across door frame and that had not been done for a while. otherwise, cannot fault them - overall very nice and courteous indeed. Once I had asked again, they provided us with a brand new cot with crispy clean bedding for our small child and even made us a lunch bag as we had to leave prior to regular breakfast times. Although the hotel itself was very good, some streets close by are not - rubbish was piling up on the street and the energy from some people did not feel as safe as I would have liked. Having said that, three young boys helped us find our way back to the hotel and were very helpful and friendly - also from the same neighbourhood. I suggest addressing this issue with local authorities - rubbish should not be left out like this anyway but it could potentially be damaging to the hotel. Further, this seems very much at odds with the generally clean and beautiful city that is Luebeck.
It has a lovely country feel about it, with a beautiful garden where you could have breakfast if you wanted - buffet breakfast, superb variety - decor of hotel very pleasing, No tea/coffee or mini bar in room - if you wanted same -
Very nice staff, great breakfast buffet. The sauna area is amazing and a great way to relax after a day of work. It is only a 5-10 minute walk from the central train station.
Friendly and comfortable
Excellent service, lovely room and an excellent breakfast Would like more pillows, the ones in the beds were not very comfortable
The restaurant was closed, because of a private party. There was nowhere for the other hotelguests to go - a bar or something. That was very unsatisfactory. We had to stay at our room at evening.
Spacious room with balcony Service in the restaurant was the worst I have ever experienced in my extensive travels.
It was so quiet, relaxed and lived up to its status as a 4 star hotel
friendly helpful staff, easy check in and check out coffee makign facilities in the room would be a bonus
An excellent hotel offering both comfort and a good cuisine with excellent public transport links to both the beach and Lubeck. As a personal preference, the beds were too soft.
This was our second visit to Fuchsbau, and we liked everything about the hotel, but we would perhaps in particular point out the friendliness of the personnel, the breakfast and the flowers. We really felt very welcome, and will return whenever we need a hotelroom in the area.
Friendliness of staff, comfortable beds, cute setting The route to the hotel is not very well explained on the website, making it difficult to find. The curtains in the room could be darker. The hotel staff had not seen our booking comments about needing an extra bed and cot in the room, though they were very quick and amenable in setting this up at a late hour.
breakfast is great. Sauna is good, reception is very friendly and helpful. We even got some flowers when we checked out. shower a bit too small for a 1.82 metre guy.
Clean room. Breakfast. No refrigorator in room. Only one TV program in English.
Hotel staff was realy frendly. Brekfast quit good. With regards to value for many and location, it can be decided a good place to spend a family holyday at German Baltic See coast. Quit a small rooms. Advertizing pictures and real things are not the same.
It is helpful to have parking in front of the hotel and a lift. The breakfast staff were very pleasant. This hotel has no charm, and the dark downstairs is not somewhere one feels tempted to linger in. The reception staff seemed very uninterested, and the room and balcony were unattractive.
A good room, nice staff, good breakfast, easy to park the car in front of the hotel Our room were right next to the restaurant and we could hear some noise from the bar in the evening.
Helpful Staff and convenient location
The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The hotels location is perfect. It's literally 100m to the water and downtown is only a 10 minute walk. I would also recommend the restaurant, which was excellent and decently priced. The rooms were clean, but could use some fresh paint / minor maintenance. My biggest complaint with this hotel was the noise. You hear every conversation and every step down the hallway. It made it really hard to sleep at night. While I would recommend this hotel, make sure you get a room at the end of the hall and away from the stairs / elevator.
The breakfast was ok. The staff didn´t speak English almost not at all but were despite of that very kind.
Nearby the beach. The extra-bed could be more comfortable
It was too insufficiently sound-proofed. When the neighbour next room had a shower, we get awake
Pleaseant staff, good breakfast selection Decoration in the dining room was poor - not ready for Christmas
