the view and the hospitality no air conditioning
Staff was very nice.
Great location right on Lake Luzern. Parking was easy and staff was very friendly. Room was very comfortable. Bar and room were fairly expensive, but on par with the rest of Switzerland. I would surely stay there again.
the big rooms, the cleanliness There is no swimming pool in the hotel. It's not what you give as info on the website.
lovely hotel peaceful position on lakeside beautiful views, good parking, free internet. Friendly and helpful staff. Only 1 english speaking channel on TV
The lake and mountain view
Great dinner. Great View from the hotel room. Great staffs.
Excellent views of Lake Lucerne. Very nice breakfast on patio.
Great view of lake and mountains, breakfast, parking and ease off the autobahn. Think it was overpriced especially for this timeof year.
Location and views Wine was a little expensive
Excellent value for money. SImple, clean and very comfortable. The Hotel is a bit out of town. You need a car, though we used the local buses and had no problems.
Supberb place very reasonable alot of facitlities offered and centrally Located
Cleanliness and close to the city Wifi for free only in the hall
You know what you expect when going to IBIS, but this is too expensive for the service and location. However, don't forget you are in Switzerland. We pay a triple room and they only put towels for 2 persons.
Ibis Kriens - Nice hotel This is not located in Lucerne main town but little away from it. But there is a train that connects Lucerene station every 15 min. and it takes only 3 minutes to reach there. This allowed us to enjoy the serene atmosphere of Kriens yet not very far off from main city. Hotel room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. This is budget hotel. So no coffee maker or even cups were provided. The shower room is compact. Super market is far away to walk. So if you want to buy something, get from Lucerene itself.
It was out of Luzern, so had to take a train in
The receptionist was quite nice and supportive. We had a nice room with a good view of the mountains. It was the countryside and a very nice and calm place..
There is no ar conditioning, no refrigerator and the TV is really old. The localization is bad cause you need to take a train to go to luzern. The hotel was really expensive after we compare the price versus its benefits.
The room is bigger than expected and it is clean and comfortable. Most important is value for money with good amenities shops surround it. Location alittle too far from the train station.
big room far away from centre in an industrial area, train's ticket cost more than parking in Lucerne
I really liked the size of the room and the bathroom, as it was comfortable enough for three people to live in during our stay. The lighting and the furniture were also decent. The commute to the city, whether by train or bus, wasn't bad at all. I never felt like the room was truly cleaned. There was an incident where my sister discovered they hadn't removed a chocolate from the bed and it stained the sheets. It was also pretty sparse in the area surrounding it, and the walls between rooms were awfully thin so you could hear everything going on in the hall and other rooms.
Clean and comfortable, minimum wait at check-in and out. No restaurant in the evening, though breakfast was fine.
Nice and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. High quality restaurant. Good breakfast service. Internet and car parking facilities. Easy access to Luzern by train.
Very kid friendly, comfortable bed, free parking
The staff at The Kreuz were very helpful and we would have stayed there again on the way back from Italy but they had their well deserved holiday for couple of weeks. The cleanliness was exceptional, thanks to the cleaners for that. A very busy hotel and the restaurant seems very popular with the locals as well so all in all excellent, Will be back if we go to Switzerland again. No.
Special croissants which were gluten-free had been made for my breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was good (dinner & breakfast). A good stop-over place travelling through Switzerland. Enough shops in the small town for everyday items. Not too far from Lucerne and its attractions.
All was ok. I didn't find shower gel in the bathroom.
Unusual friendliness of staff. Excellent "continental" breakfast (much more than croissant and one coffee). Nil.
location, cleaniness, friendly staff, spacious rooms.
Quiet location. Check in a bit cold as we did not speak German.
We got to the hotel late but the staff took the time immediately to ensure we got our room and a quick tour of the hotel. Room was clean, met all of our expactation and then some. We would definately stay there again and recommend to others. It was a little noisy. Walls were thin and it was quite noisy until late night (or early morning).....
Good value of the money, quick check-in/out. Hotel parking lot was full
Everything was comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. We ate two dinners in the restaurant and they were excellent.
The stuff wase very kind and nice. The time of the cleening room was axactly at th resting brake/One day,the first one, they did not cleen the room. The other dayes we stay outside antill they finished cleening' and it takes too long.
The service, both at reception and in the restaurant was excellent - friendly, helpful and professional. The room was clean and airy. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant - we went to their Paella evening, although prices were high. We would have liked better views - although we had a deluxe room we still overlooked the cemetry and roof-tops before we had a glimpse of the mountains. We should also mention the church bells which rang loudly next door and did interrupt sleep! The town was a bit dead with very little to do and seemed a little 'down market' compared with Luzern.
Staff very friendly and helpful. When we got back at 22.00 after a longer than expected meeting (and the chef had closed the kitchen) they put together a good cold cuts and cheese collation that we enjoyed plus a nice bottle of wine from their good list. Our room was somewhat spartan (a rug on the floor would be welcome also tea/ coffee making facility).
The hotel has local feeling but beautiful style - modern and traditional combined. The sitting areas in and outside the hotel are comfortable and attractive - a great place to sit and enjoy a drink or read a book. The food was fabulous! It was great - just worth noting for those who like to lie in that the church right next door rings its very loud bell at 6am!
First and foremost the staff. The owners, Sylvia und Philipp Moser, who are directly involved in the management, Marcus (reception), Mike (Restaurant) and Manuel (kitchen) deserve a special ovation.
Staff was very helpfull and friendly, nice interior, good breakfast (fresh fruit!) We missed some relaxing facilities such as a sauna, fitness...
Hotel was simple but clean, with quiet, comfortable rooms. Great staff, very reasonably priced for the area, and the access to public transportation makes the location very convenient (either a bus right across the street or the train, which is less than a 5-minute walk away -- both come regularly and the train is only two stops into the center of Lucerne). We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, but we did enjoy the complimentary drinks the night of our arrival. This hotel had the most annoying 'feature' I've ever seen in a hotel: the bathroom light was on a motion sensor with a timer. There was no lightswitch, and the timer was set to turn off the light only after 15 minutes, which meant that any late-night trips to the bathroom resulted in 15 minutes of bright lights and a noisy fan that couldn't be turned off. We had to jury-rig a towel over the sensor overnight so that the lights wouldn't turn on at all. Exceptionally annoying, and totally unnecessary.
Good condition, clean.
Efficient booking service. Excellent service from hotel staff from arrival to departure, including splendid dinner. Extremely good value for money. None
Clean room, good restaurant, nice hotel.
Good location to explore the nearby city of Luzern. Good value for money in comparison to the very high rates applied by the hotels inside the city. Good buffet breakfast, and the dinner at the restaurant was also tasty although a bit expensive. We did not notice any noisy traffic disturbance.
Nice Staff, clean and newly renovated rooms, good food located bit far, rooms are very basic
The professionalism and service delivered by the staff and the management were first class. Every effort was made to ensure that we had a confortable and enjoyable stay I would like to see a minbar / fridge in the room
silence, modern environment feather pillows
The owners were very hospitable and went out of their way to help us with travel information, booking taxi etc. The breakfast was of good quality. The rooms are all newly done and clean. The location is outside Lucerne town center and need to take a short train ride to get to the hotel.
New hotel, easy access with car. At booking.com it was said that all the rooms have big bath tubs and this was the reason why se chose this hotel. We had just normal room with normal shower!! The reception was always empty, no service at all, we could not even mention about the bath tub!! Only person we saw was the cook in the mornings and he spoke quite poor English. Breakfast was poor (no eggs or such) and the rooms were untidy (loads of dust under the bed etc.) Location was 'middle of nowhere' but this we knew beforehand. Totally overpriced, but all the hotels in Luzern are.
