Good location in the other end of pedestrian zone in old town. Nice and clean rooms (at least business floor).
Location All beds are separate (no king or queen size beds) and very short (less than 1.9 meters). Rooms is not comfortable and old.Bathroom is very small even you are all alone in there =). Some smell in there.
Location is great, Hotel staff excellent, Use of pool and sauna
unfortunately during our stay the temperatures reached over 35 degrees and as the hotel didn't have air conditioning it was extremely hot and uncomfortable in our room, we opened the windows but then had to suffer the noise from outside including drunks coming home in the small hours. We had a young baby who couldn't sleep because of these reasons and so had to cut our stay short. Would go back but when weather much cooler!
Decently priced. Although there seemed to be many visitors in the hotel it gave an impression of being deserted. Common areas like the Bar seemed closed.
location, food, hospitality of staff
The staff was freindly and helpful with an excellent breakfast. The location was terriffic!
English speaking friendly staff. Excellent meal from the restaurant. Short amble to the railway station or the city. Parking available - at a price. Excellent free indoor swimming pool etc. WLAN/internet cost € 8 an hour.Ok if on business expenses but outrageous compared to our 4 star in Eisenach where it was free and unlimited. Bought a watch from reception display but they couldn't find instructions or the case. Parking expensive compared to what I usually pay.
Close to everything in Goslar. Great restaurant in the hotel. Very comfortable and spacious room.
Good location, good facilities.
We were very happy for the facilities in the hotel, such as the swimming pool, the game room, the huge breakfast. It was very good for the kids, with the playroom and huge lobby and halls where they could run around.
Very friendly staff - made you feel at home - even though it could have been different at a large modern hotel none
Good value for money for a family of 6 Poor selection at dinner buffet
the location, the aspect of the pool and the amazing breakfast
The range of food at breakfast and the Bierstube restaurant for great value evening meals. Be aware that it is on top of a hill on the edge of Hahnenklee.
Scenic location in the Harz mountains. Breakfast was quite nice.
good service no
Excellent swimmimg pool Poor food
The location is just perfect, right at the market square and what a lovely building, the breakfast was great. We both had single rooms, which were clean and neat but small. We also thought the reception staff could have smiled a bit more and treated us a bit more as guests, but it was a minor thing and did not reduce the pleasure of staying at this great Hotel
Splendid location in Goslar. The restaurant was excellent. Our rooms were located in an odd part of the hotel, and we had go in several stairs.
Our room was comfortanle, large and had a lovely view of the Marktplatz and the charming glockenspiel performance.
Good location, nice breakfast Access by car not optimal, but we made it work.
Bathroom too small. Nowhere for wet towels.
well catered central location
The location is wonderful (what a view out of the window, right onto a thousand years of history), the staff excellent, and the rooms romantic. What more can you want! Nothing.
Historic atmosphere Not enough water from shower
Went to the Kloster; the countryside and the downtown area there was a show being filmed....a real pain
Good facilities, even at the end of the season, friendly, clean and tidy.Hotel position good for touring.
The reception was warm. The breakfast was excellent, and it is in a quiet location just 6 kilometers from one of the most beautiful historic cities in Germany(Goslar). Also it has its own free parking lot. It was a great experience.
The room was large and immaculately clean. Breakfast was basic but sufficient A little further out of Goslar than we anticipated.
the service was great the hospitality is lovely,
breakfast, cleanlyness, decent, friendly owner lack of community room (and kitchen use)
Just about everything, the girls there were particularly attractive and that was a bonus.
Good, clean room and a nice reception. Location was also good
Very friendly staff. Good service
Calmness Heating was poor
Well maintained hotel, very big and equipped room, personal care, easy access It is somewhat inconvenient to carry the luggage to the room due to the spiral staircase to the second floor
Nice atmosphere, high ceilings, wood furniture, good graphics in the corridors
Easy parking near citycenter. Excellent breakfstbuffet. More information about the city aviable at the desk.
Goslar is a gorgious city with many old nice-kept houses. The hotel lays in walking distance to everything. The room was very nice and spacy. There was a fairly priced and spacy parking garage. Breakfast was very good, but not included in the room price.
The location of the hotel at the border of the old town.
We went for the most expensive room in the hotel, which was wonderful value for money, in a town that is sure to become a tourist hotspot. Excellent breakfast as well, only place I have seen that had vitamin tablets for the breakfast included Why have a cartoon painting of penises and vaginas in their most luxurious room! Ruined a very good stay. I have made a complaint regarding this and all they said was, oh we have an arrangement with the local art gallery. All the rest of the paintings were tasteful, just this one. I have no problems with paintings that are of naked people if they are true art and reasonably discrete, but this was macabre to say the least
the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, there was an elevator which made things even nicer. riendly people.f
Good localization. Friendly staff. Clean rooms and excellent breakfast buffet.
This was our second stay at this hotel. It is very handily placed to the railway station and the old town. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here both times.
The Diners buffet and the breakfasts. That the hotel bar was closed ad2100 h.
Nice hotel in an old-fashioned building. Very good breakfast.
In morning good breakfast in evening good dinner and sauna
Friendliness of staff and helpfulness of staff. They were responsive to our needs. Close to bus stop where many trips could start from.
Nice and clean hotel.Very good breakfast.
Over 100 years old, proprietor lives on premises and serves some of the time. Old fashioned virtues of good service, friendliness and very good food at reasonable prices. Little bit tatty, could do with some painting on balconies.
the friendly staff the restaurant and bar were not open
Although it looks uninteresting from outside, it is beautifully furnished in the modern scandinavian style. The position by the lake is quiet inspite of the position near the road into the spa town. The service is exceptionally attentive and friendly. The food is simply outstanding and would not be out of place in a gourmet London restaurant.. Not really. To call it a luxury hotel it only lacked larger grounds around the hotel.
Pofessionel staff, very good food, Danish channels on tv.
Very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Very clean comfortable rooms. Would have liked a TV channel in English eg news of some sort.
It is newly renovated hotel with great view over a lake. Great gourmet style four course dinner for only eur24. Set in a beautiful mountain location. Great for biking and walking. Also a cable car takes you to the top of the nearby mountain. Lovely spa area, bar and playroom. Playground situated just across the street. Pedal boats were available to hire on the lake. The hotel ia not far from the Autobahn so great stop off if you are crossing Germany.
the location how the clen the room very fast
Good breakfast. plenty of parking with garage if required at extra cost. very good staff. not so good location within a housing estate.our disabled person within the group found his room to far away from all facilities inc car park.Rooms tired and ready for refit. No tea/ coffee in rooms.Generally not up to scratch for a holiday accomadation. Breakfast too dear if just wanting small snack should be a choice with cost reductions.
Very nice and comfortable hotel, good and very friendly service
We liked the town, the hotel was a bit basic A bit out of date
Staff at check-in was extremely helpful and accommodating. Charged us 1.50 Euro for a map of the city.
Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Good facilities (swimming pool, parking space, garden, etc.)
Hotel had a pleasant swimming pool and sauna area which after a long days cycling was very much required. I did not particularly like that in a double room there were twin beds rather than a double bed
clean and quiet shower water
Breakfast is not included, and is offered for additional 13 euros per person. those who wish to have breakfast may find the total cost far less attractive when compared with other hotels around goslar.
the staff kindness and nice attitude, the comfortablr room and the parking facilities
Conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood close to the old town. Plenty of free parking. Our ground floor room had a pleasant outside seating area. Room was on the small side and overall experience seemed more like a three star hotel.
Staff very friendly. Quiet surroundings and good for hiking. Good food. Pet friendly. Nothing
An excellent hotel.Staff so friendly and accomodating.Service was outstanding. In a quiet area, but very close to all local attractions.Great for families and couples.Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Can't praise the staff enough, they were fantastic and made you feel very special.Food was excellent, inclusive breakfast as well as the hotel's restaurant and very reasonably priced. Absolutely nothing. Would recommend it to anyone and would definitely stay here again.
Good location with parking places not for all rooms but free parking on the street. Heating when necessary. Good breakfast.
Quiet location, good breakfast Steep stairs
Super breakfast, quiet yet convenient location for Goslar town.
breakfast was good the beed was verry hard too hard in room nr. 12
Breakfast was very generous and good
Frau Kirchner and staff were friendly and helpful. Charming family owned atmosphere in beautiful old house with garden. Extremely clean and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.
Motorbikes could stay a safe place at night Quiet part of town
nice welcome, friendly staff. free parking. Nice garden Breakfast finishes at 9.30 at weekends.
The breakfast was great
Wonderful location, in easy walking distance from the old town of Goslar. Was very nice that we could park right outside the door. Breakfast was very good. The phone in our room was out of order, which was a little inconvenient. But the owner let me call from the house phone at reception, so I was able to make a necessary call, just without privacy. Our room was a bit on the small side, because the bathroom was carved out of it. I suppose that goes with expecting modern conveniences in an old structure, though.
the quiet location and the friendliness of staff parking facility, too little and also difficult to use
It's ideally positioned at the outskirts of the village with direct access to the forest walks and town restaurants etc. Further we enjoyed the big rooms and various facilities. For us it was a most enjoyable stay.
It was a very quiet hotel with good services and with a very friendly host that also speaks english.
The owners are very friendly, the breakfast is very good, everything clean and comfortable You have to pay an extra 7€ for the whirlpool - I think this could be included.
What I liked the most was the cosy atmosphere. Nothing I disliked about the hotel.
Owners were very nice people The swimming pool is closed and will never be opened again. Booking as well as the hotel website suggest that it will be opened again. Which is not true and therefore a bit deceptive.
Excellent staff with personal involvment, excellent food, quitet, good wifi coverage, located in a charming old mining village in the Harz mountains. Less than 1 hour from CeBIT, it is definatly worth the commute. It is located at 600M height, so winter sports are all around. Brockenberg is 10 minuts away.
Cosy, well situated and comfortable. Ideal for active people.
The service, and the attention to the guests. We chose a daily commute from CeBit (130 km x 2) to stay here, rather than stay at some impersonal inn near Hannover. And no hidden extras for WiFi etc; but do take your laptop downstairs and enjoy a cup of tea. The scenery is also magnificent. We took a day off to see the Harz while driving home. Such family hotels still exist, despite the chains.
We found the staff very pleasant and helpful even though it was the busy week between Christmas and New Year's. The breakfast that was included was excellent and had a large selections of breakfast foods. The bathrooms were very clean. We really felt at home at the Goldene Krone. Thank you Karina
Friendly staff, spotlessly clean, good breakfast, good situation in town centre A small thing, but the old-fashioned triangular pillows take some getting used to!
Great hotel with every facility in a good location. The owners went out of their way to assist. Breakfast had a good selection served professionaly by the owners. Honesty bar was a great idea and appreciated. basically excellent value for money and can recommend for anyone visited this area, Absolutely nothing !
The single room I was assigned was by far the best I have had. The tea and coffee making facilities a winner! The efforts of the staff to make our stay good were much appreciated.
The staff were very good ,the room was clean and the breakfast was excellent.Good location as well as only short walk to town.
Hotel staff extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast excellent value for money; dining room very comfortable and spacious.
Beautiful hotel, great room in a fantastic location, staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Breakfast was a nice variety of items and the coffe was great
Friendly staff. Clean comfortable room. Good breakfast. Nice location.
