quite and clean good breakfast
The bedroom was clean and comfortable, the breakfast is quite rich. It takes a 15-20 minutes walk from the railway station to get there; on the other hand, I was happy to have free train&bus transportation across the Black Forest. They should have publicized more that you get free public transport. If I had not read the benefits from the hotel guest card, I would have paid for all the trains I took, to Basel and to Freiburg.
Nice breakfast Very difficult to reach from the station, no TV in any rooms, strange atmosphere similar to a nunnery (it's owned by some sort of catholic or christian charity organization). I would not want to go back there
using thermal bad
Right place to have a good sleep and a decent breakfast with a very reasonable price. Room was clean and quiet. On the other hand the hotel is quite far away from the centre of the town and the atmosphere is like in a boarding-school. Good choice for one night stay.
the location the hotel remind me an hospital and i suppose it was like that in the past
Nice apartment with huge terrace, breakfast was OK. Booked an apartment 3 months prior to arrival and got the only one with WC/Shower outside in the corridor. When I asked for a hairdryer they suggested me to go to the center of the town (hairstylist). Bad internet in some rooms.
Location, value, quality of service, cuisine Limited tv reception
Free Wi-Fi access - Friendly staff Directions to the hotel could be improved (located in pedestrian only area - it is however possible to park car in front of the hotel)
The hotel was in a good location for the city and was on the river. Our room was probably the worst in the hotel for location, up stairs, down a dark hallway, then downstairs, not an elevator available for all of this. When we asked the owner about this, we were told that his best rooms were not available through this booking service.
Staff. Nice vilage. Small bed
I visited trumpet musium next door no this hotel desk staff was very unkindness
Very good Breakfast great view of the rhine and the covered wooden bridge that takes you to Switzerland, from the outside breakfast area The size of the room,it was a little small, and the lack of air conditioning it was very hot when i was their, mid June, however i asked for a fan and got it instantly by very nice staff.
Free WiFi, location is very nice, friendly multilangual staff Credit card was rejected multiple times + other bank cards as well (only solution was to go withdraw the entire amount from a nearby cash machine)
Beautiful location on Rhine in lovely old part of town, very convenient car parking despite being in a padestrian area, excellent food in the restaurant. Room rather small.
no reception, nobody there, just a key of the room/hotel and nobody bothers you type of breakfastchinese restaurant nextdoor/in hte hotel gave a bad odeur
tranquillity The internet is not good and I had to call them for help and the hotel overcharged me Euros 22 for the call that should have been free since I paid for the internet service.
The welcome was very good. Room clean and practical. the bathroom was very good and the large patio with umbrella and chairs was particularly useful. A beutiful view of a bend in the R Rheine no
Overall the hotel was clean and efficient The mini bar was not refilled during my stay. I was unable to take incoming phone calls on my room phone.
It was short
The restaurant is closed on Mondays and there is nowhere to eat near by.
Excellent food. Very talented cook and friendly staff. If you stay here I highly recommend the restaurant for evening dinner. Also breakfast featured very nice treats - fresh fruits & special cheeses.
The service was personal and cordial. As it is a family hotel there are few rooms which was used to thier advantage. The location was a bit difficult. It was too far to walk from the city centre and almost too short to take a taxi. The Wifi service had problems. Sometimes it worked - sometimes not. I think that I could have got some help if I asked, but as I returned very late every evening there was no-one to ask.
Comfort and cleanliness of the room The noise of the street when windows have to be opened because of warm night.
It was a very good and spacious room looking out on to back garden. Breakfast was of a decent selection of good quality food. The place was easy to locate and the staff were helpful. No complaints
Really helpful pleasant staff who were accommodating with storage of bicycle during the stay.
breakfast and all services no
Very good price for the accomodations - exellent restaurant Although this can happen a wrong dish was served during diner
Restaurant was very nice! nice staff and very clean bathroom. Nothning
From the moment that I was met at the train station to the time I left the hotel, the hospitality, quality of service and presentation was excellent. The staff are engaging and helpful with all tiny details of my trip. The breakfast was magnificent, great variety and freshness and the ambience of the hotel was warm, welcoming. Equally, suitable for business, relaxation or families enjoying the local nature and wildlife.
Nothing The room was the worst room in the hotel. a very bad experience. never more...
Good breakfast: Uncomfortable bed, smell of cows with meals.
The staff was very, very friendly and we enjoyed all the fantastic art work, which made it feel like a museum. No.
Very helpful and polite staff. Excellent dinner on both nights we stayed and excellent breakfast. The bedrooms were extremely small
First night was in a tiny loft room but they changed this on request. The setting, the staff and the restaurant were all superb.
Being in the black forest.... The bedroom window was right alongside the road, which although in the coubtryside was quite a busy road. It had no curtains or useable blinds to shut out the light or noise from the road
Clean and comfortable. Our host, Martin (quite a character), and his wife were friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. We ate two meals at the hotel's restaurant and were impressed by the standard - there's also an impressive selection of fruit brandies and spirits to choose from to round off your meal! The breakfast - included in the price of the room - was also very good. No real complaints, but the bells of the nearby church could be an annoyance for some...and do note that in Germany a single occupancy double room may contain two beds, rather than a nice, big double bed to sprawl across!
The scenery around the hotel is stunning, the rooms were immaculate, we stayed in the room right at the top, beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful but the food was absolutely fabulous, worth a detour to to sample
Friendly staff, nice facilities. Good breakfast buffet. Good price/quality.
Rooms were basic but were cleaan and warm. Staff were friendly and helpful. No problems
friendly, clean hotel with good food
Very helpful, and friendly Good menu, and good table service
Hotel Danner is a a clean hotel with appropriate comfort. It's strongest point for us is the location in Rheinfelden, which allows to take a drink and a walk in the evening. there is still some room for improvement at the desk service
Location. Attentive Staff. Noise from the cars in street since there was no air conditioning in the room (I had to leave windows open) - September
Staff were very hospitable, hotel was quiet, breakfast was excellent. Parking facilities excellent andthe restaurant very first class. Bathroom was poorly lit.
Cleanliness. Helpful and friendly staff. Location and directions to the hotel from the train station were poor
Nice restaurant, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms are a bit small, but OK for up to two people. Parking was a bit of a challenge. No AC, so the rooms were quite warm at night (even with windows open). This was in June. Internet is not free like some other hotels, but provided by T-Mobile.
Location Room standard was poor.Generally the hotel was very poor. The hotel has the potential to be a lot better but I will not be going there again.
We used this hotel as stop in between Pescara and Netherlands (1000 Km drive). Family with two adult children. Price quality is very good (Euro 105; 4 persons room with two double beds). Parking free around the corner street btw 18:00 and 08:00. Hr. also possible Hotel garage for 7 Euro/day. Breakfast is O.K. From the chart the hotel has very good diner facility (price/quality); only turned out only possible after 21:00 without reservation; the day we arrived the tables (not too much) were occupied. We arrived pretty hungry, finding out we had to wait untill 21:00 or go alternate. We choose the lates and found good Italien restaurant some 300 m walk accross the street in city-shopping-street.
Very easy to find in entering the town. Friendly towqards cyclists and our particular needs.
The staff was attentive to our needs and we had a very good meal in the hotel dining room. The room was very clean and comfortable. We took the train into Basel for a day of sightseeing. I think it is more geared to the business traveler than American tourists, but they made every effort to meet our needs.
Breakfast was decent A little expensive for the area and amenities
Pleasant staff location A little noisy with the kitchen below but hotel very comfortable
The road outside the hotel is very noisy making it diffcult to sleep. The restaurant is a truck stop hence the lorries and noise.
breakfast was very good. tip top!
The hotel was situated in a more industrial type location than is apparent from the photos. Having said that, it was easy to find and the room itself was spacious and very stylish. There was an excellent Breakfast buffet. It was a good 25 minurtes walk to the town centre along the path (cycle and pedestrian) next to the Rhine, accessed from directly outside the hotel.
Convenience of "all day" restautant next door
The hospitality is excellent. Good breakfast. Good German food and drink
The hotel is located on top of a hill in a small village and we were lucky enough to be there for their yearly Octoberfest. We had a great time and the food was outstanding and the beer was great. Martina was the best waitress that we have had so far on our 61 day trip through Europe! They could have a menu in English. Thankfully Martina was there to help us out, she speaks English very well!
Friendly staff. Overpriced. Food has a lot to be desired.
Nice location in charming little village. Very clean area in every respect. Very dogfriendly hotel (we took our little dog with us) . This is one of the best hotels we ever stayed in what concerns service quality and value for money.
We did arrive late in the night, so we did not have opportunity to try the cousin. But staff was friendly and we were aloud to have some drink still. Breakfast was good, clean room. The hotel itself was very quit what I did like. We were a pair and in the bath was not enough towels, just one large for us both
Clean, quiet, excellent breakfast Hard to find, very far from main highway; asked for wireless Internet codes to be available at check-in - they were not until the next morning
