- friendly staff - good location - able to walk or bike to many locations - complimentary bike rentals - Good price
Belltown Inn is a clean, simple, unpretentious place. I like this kind of hotel because it's not stuffed full of things that I don't need - like padded Queen Anne armchairs, oversized tvs, and bad sugary 'continental' breakfasts. My room was comfortable, with a good desk and chair, a reasonably-sized tv and a very good mattress. AND open-able windows. Two points for that! For a very reasonable price. Small problem: a bathroom door that was hung poorly.
From the time I checked in to the check out, the service from the front desk was impeccable!
Location was fantastic, rooms were a little cramped, but who hangs in room, water pressure in shower was low or could be low flow fixture. I will stay here every time we are going to Seattle.
Good location and affordable
All of the staff except for one woman was very helpful and friendly. You can borrow their bikes which is a great way to explore the waterfront. Ask for a room that faces the alley. Otherwise you will be subject to loud buses, cars, people yelling, and a street piano. Bring earplugs and a sleeping mask (no blackout shades) if you are a light sleeper.
Location was excellent. Walk everywhere. The staff was helpful, kind, professional and cheerful. The friendly instructions to help save water and energy was appreciated. Glad to see they are concerned with the environment. We would stay here again. The confusing one way streets caused us some distress as we went around several blocks. But that is part of city life and we did score a good parking spot on the street..
Central location The room and building was dirty. Very small room. A group of people were having a very loud argument in the hotels courtyard throughout the evening. It is a motel level quality.
Everything with the exception of the lack of AC.
Close to downtown, so everything was walkable. Great restaurants nearby. Complementary umbrella also a plus if it decides to rain. Room was not air conditioned, so the window needed to be open at night to sleep, meaning city noises are easily heard. Not a big issue if you have ear plugs to sleep with though.
Location excellent. Right on streetcar line. Staff told me of GREAT breakfast next door, "Bitch" something. Easy walking to Pike's Place Mkt., also just 4 blocks to Victoria Clipper ferry. Was $80-90. Decent value. Again--location, location, location! A chemical smell in room, some sort of disinfectant. We aired it out, put up with it. Not strong enough to be a deal breaker. May have been to cover up some booboo from previous folk, I dunno. I don't want to blast them on the internet or YELP or anything, as it was probably just a one-time thing, and the staff was nice.
This is a beautiful hotel on the water. The rooms are immaculate. The staff always helpful. The restaurant was an added bonus. Would definitely stay again.
Located right on the waterfront. Beautiful common rooms and restaurant to look over the water and watch the sunsets.
Nice waterfront location & lounge area. A bit dingy & a little shabby. Expensive waterfront room partly obscured by equipment, and staff not helpful w.r.t. finding alternative room. Bar is very loud but nice location & lively.
As tourists, the location was ideal and right in the middle of a ton of sites and restaurants. The decor and view were incredible as well, and I highly recommend cocktail hour in the gorgeous bar. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and both were incredible. Would absolutely recommend this to friends, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The only complaint I have is that we had issues with our fireplace, and while I'm sure 98% of it was user error we also kept getting conflicting information on how to make it work from various hotel staff. We must have asked for instructions on how to turn it on and off four different times and were told four different instructions on how to operate it.
The room and staff were great!!! Clean everything!!! Great location!!! Overpriced valet parking $41.00!!! Just ridiculous!!!
The location and the lobby guest lounge. The lack of parking forces you to use the valet at $41/day. A hotel of this prestige should offer a continental breakfast and free coffee in the dinning area. I've stayed at many hotels in this price range that do offer it and parking for guests is free. Definitely paying for the location and name.
Easy walking access to pike place and downtown Seattle Beautiful lobby Great place to sit and watch the water Very romantic Cozy bed Good food from room service Also loved the little convienence store in the lobby! Staff wasn't super helpful, but I'm thinking that was mostly because it was the holidays and it was pretty busy The hotel cleaning staff kept on changing the shower head to the one we didn't like and we had to keep changing it back. That was just a little weird. Wish our room had a tub. Thin walls.
Fireplaces in every room. Cozy feeling of a lodge and views of the stormy water. Our water view room had a piece of dock equipment (mobile people gangway or something) partially obstructing of our water view.
Nice overall Thermostat and fireplace did not work. Shower splashed water out in bathroom.
the Staff were So friendly & helpful..and Everyone was always Smiling! Décor was Just what I love...I call it "Rustic Elegance"...food was Very good. My room on the water was perfect and could have sat by my window on the water for Hours. Great location since I had the choice of walking to many things or take your shuttle. Will come again!! Too bad there isn't an "Upper Deck" or terrace on top where people could sit maybe half indoors/half out, to take in the views.
I've stayed in better economy type inns. Cool location , but way dated and a need for up dating. The price didn't match the facilities
No water in vending machines, $6 for bottle water in room
Terrific location, nice & clean.
Great service; good meal value; good location, nice view. Room keys didnt work sometimes
I was charged $16 additional parking for coming to the hotel 2 hours before check in. On top of the $30+ I was already paying for parking there.
I only liked how close t was to my destination Options were given to the type of room I would like. I chose the quiet room option. Promptly at 7am in the morning all 4 days I stayed there they started construction from what sounded like in the adjacent room. When I brought this up to the front desk they acted confused and acting like I was crazy and tried figuring out an explaination for the sounds other than construction. Said they"would send someone up to investigate" I was so peeved about this I went down stairs to complain directly and they informed me that they are indeed doing construction and they're supposed to start at 9am. While I was down there I complained that when I took a shower regardless of the length of time I was in the shower. The water flowed freely into the bathroom and filled it up with water and I had to use 3 out of the 4 towels given to me to soak up the water. The front desk person said they wouldn't immediately send up more towels. And never did follow through with their "solution" for the problem. Lastly. The tv had a high pitch whistle whenever it was on. This increased and decreased with the volume.
Good, clean rooms. Good happy hour in the bar. Helpful staff. Gym is below basic.
The bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom was very small
I loved the room service options, and that you can order it 24/4. I also loved the in-house breakfast ordering. The food was delish, the room was clean, great pillows, view, and friendly staff. You might freak out over their expensive parking ($39 a night) But if you're staying for a short visit like we did, it is actually great. They let you keep your car there till 3pm, even though check-out is 11. So we were able to walk to Pike Place, aquarium, and do all that fun stuff without having to move our car and pay for more parking.
Love being so close to everything. Went to a concert at the key arena and the taxi rides were really cheap since we were so close. Within walking distance to pikes place and the water. We wanted a bigger balcony. I proposed on the night we stayed there expecting a view of the Space Needle and room on the balcony to do it. The balcony was barely big enough to stand on.
The location was perfect. You're walking distance from the space needle and pike place market. The room was clean and the bed was always made when we got back at the end of the day after going around the city. You're only a few blocks from the Westlake light rail station which takes you throughout the city and as far as the airport which is convenient.
The elevators are fast and the location is perfect for Seattle sightseeing- Space Needle and Pike Place Market are blocks away. We loved the close proximity to the best restaurants in Seattle: Lola, Dahlia Lounge, Dahlia Bakery, Etta's, Palace Kitchen, Serious Pie. The room was comfortable and large. We liked the split bathroom with bathtub/toilet on one side and sink/mirror on the other. The heater was inconsistent- when it was blowing, the room was too warm, but when it turned off the room was a bit chilly.
Great location for good price. Very nice, up to date, clean, and top notch. Lovely bar! Nice restaurant . Ask to borrow an umbrella at front desk! Don't need to bring your own...
Everythin was perfect, decoration, staf, location everything
The size of the room was good and the decor was young and hip. Also the hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. Perfect for travel
The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming! Even though we arrived very early in the day, they were very accommodating by handling our luggage and making some excellent suggestions on nearby things to do and see while we waited to check in. I really, truly cannot say how absolutely impressed we were with the staff, their positive attitude and attentive nature. It was perhaps one of the best hotel stays we've experienced and it was all because of the people who work here!
Staff was very friendly. Nice towels, linens, bathrobes and a very comfortable bed! Excellent location in downtown. Glad I found Hotel 5! Room doors closed very loudly. Down comforters were too warm.
The staff was amazing. Having never been to the city before, the staff helped me set up transportation to the hotel. I was able to get free pickup to the hotel. Geoff came outside and helped carry in luggage. I arrived early but was still able to check in. Every staff member was kind and friendly. They were also able to make last minute reservations to Sky city for 4. The room was nice, great location, free shuttle service and free bike rentals! Nothing negative to say about this experience. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
I didn't like the stuffed toy on the bed.
Free Bikes! Parking is overpriced and so is the breakfast. Additionally, there is no in room fridge.
I enjoyed the central location and the friendly staff.
Fun, funky and good location. Nice pineapple water! Thin walls, neighbors loud
Very comfortable beds and bedding. Modern look and cool music in the lobby. Loud heater in the room.
The location was fantastic. The hotel has a fun style. The room was nice and very clean. The bed was comfortable. My neighbor was loud and up very late two of the three nights I was there. The walls seem to be thin. Also the pillows were very hard. Too dense. I should have asked for new ones.
I loved the modern decor and the helpful front desk I wish there had been a mini fridge in the suite we stayed in
New and very clean. Safe location. Strongly recommended!
Friendly staff. Daily ☕ and cupcakes between 3 and 7. Had a temporary emergency water shutoff during my stay, but it was resolved quickly.
The hotel was very modern and cool. There is a restaurant and lounge adjacent to the hotel lobby. Plus, the location was perfect. We were able to walk to the waterfront, Market, Pioneer Square, and lower Queen Ann, all within 15-20 minutes. Would definitely stay here again.
Very good location, close enough to major downtown Seattle attractions, but just far enough out of the thick of traffic to be accessible. The room we had looked more like a college dorm room than a hotel room. To market this hotel on the basis of style or design is a stretch. The room decor is worn and dated, although clean. The bath was small, mid-quality vintage and not updated - there's a reason the bathrooms are not pictured on the website....
This is my first time at this hotel. And I couldn't have been happier. Comfort and quiet. I will recommend this hotel. And would choose to stay here again. The only thing that happened was that the maid service didn't show up till 4:30 pm.
Great location, good service .great decor.Quiet. Music/jazz orientated.Room lay out was very well designed and very comfortable. walk in closet was terrific. Car parking was an issue. No problem with the valet parking , just expensive.
Great central location in downtown Seattle. Fabulous staff.
Professional, very helpful and friendly staff. Well appointed and elegantly designed room. Great in-house bar and restaurant, with very good food. Excellent room service. The bathroom was on the small side and lacked a fan.
Our room was spacious and well-equipped. The design was modern and attractive. The food in the restaurant was high quality and interesting but perhaps more limited in range than you would ordinarily expect from a hotel catering for international travellers having a strong Greek/North African theme. I think the hotel should seriously consider making wi fi internet access complimentary - its ridiculous to charge ten dollars a day when you can cross the road to Starbucks and get it free when you buy at coffee. I also think they should stop importing mineral water from Scandinavia, which is contrary to their environmental aspirations.
Excellent location and very attentive staff. We will stay here the next time we are in Seattle.
The room was really nice. A lot of the extras you always hope for, but never seem to get. I would defiantly stay there again.
Great location, great staff. Thought it was a bit pricey.
Generous room size, decor, location, good sound insulation very quiet for the city location would have liked breakfast to have been included in the price!
Nice hotel. Good restaurant. A little on the pricey side.
Great location, clean room, nice decor. Rooftop bar is added bonus! slightly pricey
Thompson's Hotel had incredibly OnPoint and helpful friendly staff. Walking in, you get a very welcoming and swanky feel. The hotel rooms are very nice and comfortable. Upscale shower facility and rooftop bar were amazing.
Really enjoyed the location, rooftop bar and overall service. Nothing really, great place
The room was relaxing. The staff was lovely and extremely helpful. This is the spot to stay in Seattle. Close to everything in Pike Place Market. We would stay there again and again. can't think of a thing
Location, size of hotel, efficiency and friendliness of staff
everything, the staff is wondeful and very helpful. great location
Very kind staff and perfect location by the waterfront, next to the market. Several nice restaurants at walking distance. Probably the best hotel to stay in Seattle, to combine business and leisure. Outstanding complimentry cinnamon tea in the lobby.
Loved the deck. We chose not to run around sight seeing and instead spent several hours just watching the harbor goings on, Mr. Ranier and the Olympic Mountains. It was memorable.
I really liked the decor in the room and the location & friendly service.
Location, comfort, service, outstanding!!!
The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, we arrived from a cruise sip, left our luggage and they rang us as soon as our upgraded room was ready - great service. Excellent central hotel, is as it says right on the Market, convenient and easy to find. A must stay experience. Faultless
The staff were extremely good, the service great and discreet. Location very good for soaking up local colour. Steep gradient in the area could be difficult for people with mobility problems.
the location no
Nice clean hotel at an excellent location. Terrace with an excellent view. Friendly and helpful staff. This is not a dislike, just that I don't know if a map with a walking tour of restaurants (many of which are excellent in the vicinity), cutural and childrens event/sites, etc. exists. We had the general Seattle map and walked through less admirable locations trying to find all the good things in the area.
Friendly and helpful staff. And you cannot get better dining in Seattle.
We wanted a Seattle Hotel, centrally located, for one night so we could see Billy Joel in SEA. What we stumbled on a delightful boutique hotel above the famous El Gaucho Restaurant. Only 17 rooms with a delightfully helpful Manager and staff, "The Inn" was a joy. Whether it was places to eat ("The Inn" has no food services itself), directions to get to Pike Place Market (a couple of blocks down the street), or their 5 o'clock complimentary wine bar, "The Inn" was excellent value for money. If you stay there be sure to go to CJ's Eatery for breakfast. As welcoming as the staff make "The Inn" its a walkup with suitcases from the ground floor. That walk-up can be a bit daunting the 4th or 5th time you do it during the day. Also the rooms are clean, comfortable, but a bit tired.
We ejoyed our stay at The Kings Inn so much that we planto stay again as soon as we can. The Kings Inn is centrelly located for all tha city attractions. For the price, staff and location I recomend Kings Inn to anyony who wants a bit of relaxation to a major event. We have stayed at several places over the years and the Kings Inn tops them all. I wish we could of staied longer.
The room was the tiniest I've ever seen. The wall-mounted TV was so small I couldn't read the the channel numbers from the bed. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
Great location, very clean rooms, and we'll maintained for an older building. Very quaint and good for travelers going sight seeing. Older building with small rooms which are still comfortable. Could use larger televisions and maybe more in suite ammenaties such as coffee.
location picture fell off wall
friendly staff pretty run down. broken dresser, TV remote missing battery cover, no drinking glasses provided. Really small with too much furniture in the room so it was crowded. Overall it just needs to be updated. Pictures on rooms must be older.
Location No microwave or coffee maker....the TV was smaller then my tablet.
Convenient location, competent staff, perfectly adequate room for sleeping, which is mostly what we did there. Plenty of good food choices within an easy walking distance. The room is very funky, maybe it was a suite converted to a 2 bedroom, maybe it was two rooms with a shared bathroom....? It was fine, but weird, and not the ideal layout for our family. The cost is pretty high for the quality of room, but I gather that's just the nature of real estate in that area, and it was more affordable than the fancy-pants places nearby which was nice.
It is quite close to downtown Seattle. Housekeeping can be said OK. Wi-fi is available in the third floor. There is no ''reception''; they call it ''front desk'', a contarcted unfriendly service. Outside door lock seems not safe. Heater works with a terrible sound; ''sleep OR get warm'' option. ''Jet'' shower is useless.
The shower was hot. The door opened and closed and locked. I was sheltered from the rain Mattress should have been in a dumpster long ago.
It was a room with outlets for phone chargers and a bathroom with a toilet that flushed Owners/workers were nice however The street noise but when your downtown next to the tram what can you expect
This hotel is in a great location (walking distance to Pike Place Market, Space Needle, and the mall). Very cheap rates compared to nearby hotels, and free parking. It is perfect for travelers on a budget. The room was clean, and the mattress was comfortable enough. Keep your expectations low. There were very few amenities. There was AC and a tiny 17-inch TV. In the standard room with one queen bed, there was no refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, or hair dryer. Facilities were a bit old. Water was not hot, but warm enough for me. Also, the monorail runs along the same street as the hotel, so it may be loud for light sleepers. Except for the lack of hair dryer, these didn't bother me. As a traveler, I only used the room to sleep. My priorities were location and price, so I was very happy with my stay.
It was close to everything. It was recently updated. Seemed to have fresh paint and new carpet. It was old. The elevated train runs right down the middle of the road in front all night. It was very noisy in the alley. No breakfast. The guy working when we checked in was not very friendly. The TV was a 17-19" flat screen mounted on the wall, very hard to watch.
Love this hotel. Great room, clean, comfy bed. awesome breakfast. Cool decor. The street noise at this location is unbearable. My room was also way too warm at night.
Great customer service! Very clean... Super cute & stylish!
Very reasonable price for walking distance to downtown Seattle. Staff were friendly. Very loud. No private bathroom. Tiny room.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable, storage was excellent. There was a great range of breakfast foods available and the period of time it was available was suitable for all. Awesome location, so easy to wander out and about, perfect place to base yourself in the middle of Seattle.
Staff is freindly while keeping a distance to allow you to rest for the first night. Go on the bar crawl on Thursday. Make sure you can get a bed for more than three nights. Great place. There really isn't anything bad about the place.
Very good value for money, and the people there are awesome. Perfect place to stay if you don't care to much about luxury, but if you love to be in the center of town. Booking.com says you can book a room for 3, but they don't have rooms of 3. Only rooms of 2, 4, 6 or 8.
Location... different people.. kitchen facilities The room was too small for sharing accommodation.. things are bad while your co room mate have clothes and socks smell badly
I loved the bunk beds with their own fan, light and courtains! Free dinner on Tuesdays, Thursday and Sundays. People around the world. Best location ever in front of the Public Market. You can walk to everywhere. Quite at night. Bathrooms really clean and private with their own shower. Nice people. I would come back again for sure! I can't say anything wrong.
Location Comfortable, clean beds Lockers Social events & group outings Each bed with own fan, light, and curtains Sink in the room so you don't always have to use the bathroom Staff checking in my new roommates at 12:00 midnight and 1:00am, turning on the bright lights and waking a couple of us up. Could be rough if you had bad roommates, which I didn't - they were cool
The staff was friendly and super helpful, location is amazing, great trips. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat I suppose the room could be a bit more comfortable. Heater was on all night..
Location, friendliness, effort, parking deal Ladders up to bunk beds
the staffs are friendly the odor is bad, the color of the sheet looks dirty
Very kind staff. Reeaaaaalllly uncomfortable bed.
