Waitress did a great job of explaining the oyster selection. Good assortment and flavor with her recommendation. Overall the ambiance and feel of the restaurant was good. Our table wasn't very intimate for a date night, but it was nice still. Definitely worth a visit. My wife really enjoyed the special she ordered. She rated it one of the best fish dishes she has had. My cioppino was good though not spectacular. I liked the spice.

We went to Elliotts because my partner wanted oysters. He actually thought the oysters were good but they did have some shells in them. I ordered the beet salad and appetizer portion of the crab cakes and was disappointed in both. The beet and prawn salad had a couple of very small beets in it and an overpowering sauce for the prawns. The crab cakes were mushy with no flavor and no crispness on the crust and were white/not golden brown. I only ate one cake. His dinner was fine. It was not an inexpensive evening and I would not recommend it. The service staff was very nice.

For years we've enjoyed coming here for oysters since they always have a great variety. We are well seasoned diners and have intimate knowledge of the growing of oysters as our family raises a private crop every year in Puget Sound. We ordered a sampler tray of six varieties on the half shell, however one we received had very obviously died in transit (which inevitably happens and is completely understandable). When we brought this to the attention of our server Jen (or Jax as it says on our receipt), she expressed that this particular variety does have a different taste. My husband let her know it was not a brine or minerality that was the issue, but that this animal very clearly had not made the transit from farm to table. She was not quick to help, however, and left us feeling chastised, under the impression that we were inconveniencing her and that she thought we were either uneducated or lying to get free food (although my husband did not actually eat the funky bivalve - rather, he opted to spit it out after turning a lovely shade of green). Thankfully, she did bring us a complimentary replacement which tasted just as it should. Overall though, service means a lot to us and we were not thrilled with the service received this visit and will probably choose to go elsewhere next time we are in the mood for seafood.

This restaurant was good like always. Many restaurants have a better water view since the shape of the building on the pier and the wooden wall at the end doesn't lend itself to a great water view. That said, the service and food is always excellent. I recommend this is as a great seafood restaurant where you will get a little sliver of a view of Elliott Bay.

I'm sure many of the categories beyond those I've chosen would properly characterize EOH. We went to a fun birthday lunch last week and enjoyed everything about our visit: the excellent fish and mussels, and especially the Birthday Dessert of carrot cake so thoughtfully provided by our server, Mark. Everything was flavorful and fresh and my guest, usually a finicky sort, was very impressed and hopes I'll take him there again soon. He will get his wish.

Really tasty food - it's worth the extra $ to get the spicy chowder! Oysters were on point and the salmon salad sandwich was appealing for folks who prefer something a little tamer flavor-wise. The restaurant was accommodating for our special occasion and brought out a drink and a birthday dessert (at my request) without having to be reminded. Our waiter was fairly absent but the food made up for any service concerns.

Valintine's Day disaster! Reservation made a month in advance for 7:30pm dinner with a window seat request. Arrive at 7:25pm and told it's busy and will likely be a 30 minute wait. 'Feel free to wait in the bar (standing room only) and we'll call you', 'but what about my reservation?' 'Sorry sir, it's just Valentine's Day you know'. Our wait is 50 minutes. Seated at small booth not near a window. King Salmon was simply overcooked. I got mad enough that everything ended up being free (to their credit). I will not return nor recommend. Takes the Metroplitan Grill out of play for me as well (sister restaurant).

Food only rates a good for one reason. Looking online it said they had a highly rated Shrimp Louie, but when we tried to order it it was not even on the menu. The cocktail waitress thought they might have most of the ingredients, but not all. When I asked the waiter if they had the ingredients they did not even know what a Shrimp Louie was. Sad for a seafood restaurant. Needless to say had to find another shrimp dish. The food we ended up with was tasty though, except the shrimp were overdone, plus a little to expensive for what you got. Nice atmosphere on the water!

The food was good, the service was great, but the atmosphere was below par. We were seated in a room off to the side where there was only a very LOUD group (probably 25) discussing business - long winded guest speaker and all and our family of 5. The server was very apologetic that we had to be in there with them. She said they didn't have enough people for the private room. I'm assuming we were their 'punishment' since I had 3 small children with me. As I said, the food was good, very overpriced, but still good.

So I figured if I'm going to eat them - I want it from somewhere that knows oysters. This was perfect. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and suggested 3 different kinds of oysters based on my partners love for oysters and my 'I can tolerate them' stance. Needless to say over the period of the meal we ordered 3 dozen oysters that we shared and they were awesome! Temporarily.\nThe salmon was too rare and a few pin-bones had not been removed. It was also bland. At best.\nThe asparagus was undercooked. \nThe pomegranate sauce might as well have been nonexistent. And the potatoes (were they potatoes?) were awful.\nThe risotto was lumpy and tasteless.\nThe scallops were mediocre.\nThe Apple Crisp was not crispy. More like oatmeal. Just awful.\nThe creme brûlée was very well done, thank God!\n\nAltogether over-rated, over-priced, and a meal and visit to NEVER be repeated. \n\nSorry, but this was a disaster.

The lobster was rubbery and over cooked and was sent back twice before having to substitute another entree. Even though the manager was responsive, he did not compensate us on the bill. Wonderful selection of wine, oysters were incredible, & when our crab dinners showed up, that was the only time it was silent! I was in Seattle for a business trip, but my co-worker and I are friends, and December is my birthday, so we decided to do a nicer dinner our last night before flying home. Elliot's was highly recommended on TripAdvisor, and for me that is a huge factor in picking restaurants. I like knowing I'm going to be happy with my experience and money spent before I go.\nThe service was superb, but the staff did forget our bread and butter we had asked for ($3) before the meal (we weren't charged), and there was some sort of group party nearby that was unreasonably loud. They could have shut them in the room with the glass sliders, but it was open, so the restaurant was REALLY loud. \nThe food was very good, not superb, and cooked nearly perfectly. I ordered a wild mushroom pasta, which was great but not exactly as described and the pasta was a little less than what I expected at such a nice place. My friend ordered salmon, and it looked well cooked and seasoned. \nOverall, I'd go back and the food was above average. They did give us a free dessert for my birthday, which I wasn't expecting, so that was a nice touch!\nI'd recommend it to anyone in the area who wants above average food with an amazing view and a solid experience for the value!

We went to Elliotts the other night based on reviews I had read. Apparently I am in the minority, but this was the worst meal I've ever had the service was OK and then he was fine but the seafood was horrible the shrimp cocktail was like cardboard. I sent it back I ordered the crab cocktail. It was $26 and so salty I could hardly eat it. I ended up rinsing to crab in my water glass because I didn't feel I could send another dish back. Then I got to the crabcakes and they were mushy, lacked flavor, and extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant and I would never go back again.

Took a dear out of town guest for dinner to introduce her to our PNW seafood. First, the restaurant and surrounding area were packed with tourists and it was all quite hectic. Our evening was HORRIBLE ! Started with warm beer - was told by the server that it is the new 'trend' HUH????? Ordered the appetizer tower - served room temp at best. Calamari were absolutely tasteless, cold, and left a greasy coating in the mouth. Dinner arrived much later and was stone cold. Ciopino was watery and cold. Risotto was so salty it was inedible. The 'hot' whole dungeness crab was cold and tasted days old and reheated. Drawn butter was solid and mashed potatoes were like wallpaper paste and stone cold. Absolutely the worst meal in total that we have had in years. The only saving grace was after sending back all of the entrees, the manager did comp our entire ticket. We were fortunate we didn't get sick !!!!

The second time I took my wife and we sat inside but by a window so could see all that was going on outside. Food is excellently prepared and presented. Great selection of wines; it's fine dining but with an informality and definitely able to relax. Because of all the above, making a reservation is prudent so as to avoid a wait.

Showed up for our reservation. We got there early so we had to wait a bit for a table. No problem.\n\nOur waitress took nearly ten minutes to get to our table after we were seated. My wife had just gotten up to look around when she finally came to our table. I asked the waitress why it was taking so long. She got very frustrated. She immediately replied it's only been a minute. And since you are in such a rush, why don't you give me your order?\n\nAnyways, fast forward to the food. The appetizer comes out. I immediately started feeling funny after eating the crab dip. I had to go outside of the restaurant and ended up throwing up. Even after confronting the restaurant about this, the best they could do was box our entrees up. Despite the rude introduction and me throwing up from the appetizer, no one cared to do anything.\nAnd instead of walking out without paying, we paid for the meal and even tipped the waitress. Not everything that happened was her fault. But the rudeness was, and that should be addressed.\n\nAs far as the food quality, obviously an issue and I would like a refund. Everything went in the garbage. After throwing up the crab I had no desire to eat the rest of the seafood we ordered. On our week-long Pacific NW trip, this is the only bad meal we had. Ridiculous.

I made this reservation to celebrate my sister's birthday. Requested a window seating so she could enjoy the view as they live in Boise - we did enjoy a booth by the window. We arrv d 20 minutes before our reservation time and we're seat d 20 minutes after our reserved time. Waiter was non-memorable (Matt). I had to check my ticket to see who waited on our table - totally non- descript. What was most disappointing was no recognition of my sister's birthday celebration. Will not be picking Elliott's for a special occasion celebration again. BTW, the fish and chips were terrible, there was a chunk of fish that was hard and non chewable. The calamari was also disappointing, looked and tasted like popcorn shrimp. My two star rating has a lot to do with the boring, uncaring and totally unmemorable waiter.

I was visiting a friend in Seattle so we decided to go big and make reservations and what we thought was the 'best seafood restaurant in Seattle'. Unfortunately, I have nothing good to say about the experience. Drinks sucked - not well mixed and tasted cheap. The fried oysters were fine - tasted like any bars fried food. The scallops were chewy and seemed old. And the crab - normally one of my all-time favorite meals - we went for the $60 spicy crab - and it just sucked. I was actually sad. It was cold, lacked flavor, and I don't know how the crab tastes better in the southwest at a Red Lobster in comparison to a sea side famous Seattle restaurant but that is just wrong. I won't be going back.

Went here to get salmon and we did have 3 choices in salmon, but both of our pieces were not cooked through. I would say that the thickest portion were medium rare at best, but more like rare. We didn't start eating at the thickest area, so we didn't discover this until halfway through the meal which seemed too late to send it back. If you are like salmon sushi like I do, is it no big deal and I ended up eating half of my companion's piece. \nMaybe this is the way salmon is served on the west coast, but a warning from the server would have been appropriate, especially as this restaurant seems to serve many visitors. I have lost count of the number of times servers have asked me about my cooking preference for tuna steaks and I would have expected this as well for salmon if the restaurant cooks fish to anything less than medium.\nIt was not a particularly busy mid week night, but the service was only passable. The waiter barely seemed to have time for us. On the plus side the desserts were excellent and the oyster selection seemed extensive if not overwhelming.

Salmon is a specialty, with three choices of wild salmon each prepare one of three ways. We enjoyed the grilled salmon which our waiter recommended. We also split ice cream as a dessert (it was very large). Great evening on our first night in Seattle.

I chose Elliott's because it was my Husband's birthday and he had never been. We had an amazing experience at the bar prior to our 5:30 reservation. The bartender was extremely engaging and friendly. I can't remember his name, but that he came over from El Gaucho, Agua - really nice! \nOnce we were seated, the server ignored us for a good 10 minutes. We watched 3 other tables get seated and greeted before we did. Then finally the server came over and was very curt and not engaging. He seemed very annoyed when I asked for a Seattle Restaurant Week menu. When it was time to bring dessert, he dropped it off and apologized for not getting it out warm...then laughed and walked away. \nI've been going to Elliott's for a very long time and this was the first time I seemed put off by the service.

I understand restaurant week is tough but I've been going to it for many years to try out new places. When we were seated I had to ask for the restaurant week menu for it wasn't on your table when we were seated and when I did the sever rolled his eyes and was like I get it for you and threw it on our table and walked away before we could order drinks. After that I decided not to order the bottle of wine. Food was amazing but the service could have been better to ensure future customers.

We arrived early for our reservation but were kept waiting until the allotted time. When we were brought to our table there was an entire row of empty tables - no reason to keep us waiting. We waited 10-15 minutes without anyone coming over to help us. Finally we snagged a waiter who told us that it was not his table but he took pity on us and took our order. He later turned the order over to the fellow that was supposed to be our waiter. The food was tasty but by the time it came, we had been sitting there 25 minutes and were not very interested. The food was decent but nothing memorable.

Food was outstanding! Great location. The place was buzzing busy, as the Seahawks game just let out. My only frown point was our server. When we told him we were there for the Seattle Restaurant week menu, he treated us very differently, like we were a burden. Regardless of the fact we also ordered the additional scallop skewer and $55 bottle of wine, it was still like pulling teeth to get the time of day. He did forget to ring up the scallops, which he owned up to and was better from there, but it was still a low point that he felt that we weren't the full effort for the meal.

I was very excited to try Elliott's Oyster House because it has been on my list to try for a while. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with the experience. I went there to celebrate my sister's birthday. It was loud and noisy, which I didn't expect it to be, but that is not the problem. The problem was the service. I thought for a higher class restaurant, we wouldn't have to worry about the service. Our server did not once check up on us during our meal to see how we were doing. He also didn't seem to know the menu very well. I do not eat bacon and I ordered the salmon which had bacon in it. I asked if there was a way for the chefs to omit the bacon from the meal (which is usually never a problem at other restaurants). The waiter went to check and said the entrees were already premade. This came to a shock to me. I would have never thought a restaurant like Elliott's would have their entrees premade. Then, I asked if he knew whether or not bacon was sprinkled on top or how it was incorporated into the meal. The waiter didn't know the answer and instead of asking for me, he just stood there and waited for me to make my decision. The waiter was also not very friendly. I didn't see him crack a smile. I don't know if he was just having a bad day or what the cause for his lack of action was, but it was definitely not something that I expected. Food wise, it was decent. I thought the appetizers (Salmon lox, mussles, seabass cheeks) were amazing. The portions were small, but that was to be expected. My entree wasn't all that great. I had the salmon with the bacon (because they were unable to omit that). I scrapped the bacon layer off and ate the salmon. I thought it was lacking flavor and it could have been because I was unable to eat the salmon with the sauce. The creme brulee was great and was in a good portion.

We decided to try this restaurant because of the good reviews it had gotten. Made a reservation with open table and headed for the restaurant. When we got in we had to wait 20 minutes for a reserved table. Then the sitting hostess led us to our table. We had a rather large individual with us. The hostess directed us to a booth. It was obvious this person would not fit in. So we asked for a table. The hostess told us to go in the front and wait a few minutes for another table. We complied. Half an hour later we were seated. You would think that such a restaurant would at least train its sitting hostesses to eye the party and give them an appropriate table, but not this one I guess. Ordered the raw oysters. They had a special house dressing that was supposed to enhance the taste of the oysters. But it did not. We then ordered appetizers and the meal. I would have to say that the meal we ordered could have been served at any less expensive restaurant and probably would have tasted better. The service was good.\nIf you have the money to waste try this place.

Our server was pretty good, but the overall experience was under-whelming. Most of the servers in the outdoor area of the restaurant seemed to have no idea where to deliver their food to and kept asking people, 'Is this yours?', 'Did you order this?'. The appetizer of calamari so not very appetizing to my partner, so he barely ate any. When we finally got our entrees which we paid about $30 apiece for, the mashed potatoes were barely warm and they were dry. Worst of all, my partner ordered a beef and scallop dish that came with only a couple of small strips of beef; barely a couple of bites, really. The sangria was tart and watered down. We left paying $110 with tip, and we felt like we had been taken advantage of. Good thing the sailboat ride afterward (which is why we picked this location) was great!

I chose the restaurant because of the cioppino, but at the last minute I decided to try the seafood chowder instead. It was good, but really hardy and I wished I had ordered the other--my bad. \nHusband ordered the grilled scallops and felt they were overcooked. The server offered to take it back, but we needed to get to an event and we didn't want to make a fuss. Located at Pier 56 along the waterfront of Seattle's Elliott Bay, 'Elliott's Oyster House' has been on my list of longstanding Seattle seafood institutions to try for years, and we finally got there on Wednesday, July 8. My wife enjoyed her heirloom tomatoes and burrata cheese as a starter, while I was equally pleased with my cup of spicy clam and corn chowder. The restaurant offers three different preparation choices for their salmon, as well as three different breeds of salmon. Both of us chose the Copper River Sockeye Salmon, recommended on their menu (and by our server) as one of the most flavorful fish in the world. The counseling of both were indeed correct; my wife had hers 'simply grilled,' I had mine 'alder planked.' I also followed my server's recommendation (he was outstanding, by the way!) and preceded the meal with a Seattle favorite, 'Ginger Beer,' which is non-alcoholic, and then a libation from the bar known as a 'Dark And Stormy' made with ginger beer and Gosling's Dark Rum, topped with a lime wedge. Both were quite refreshing! We finished with dessert, I had Olympic Mountain Madagascar Vanilla Ice Cream with coffee, my wife had Chocolate Decadence Cake with Earl Grey Tea. Elliott's is a phenomenal place! Great food, great view, and great service! We'll be back

It was very hot that day, but we sat outside under an umbrella and there was a slight breeze off the water and it was wonderful. Don't know how anyone could stand to be inside in the dark and cold air conditioning on a day like that. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and then attending the Seahawk game. Our waiter was great and we each had a delicious meal in a beautiful setting. I have a shellfish allergy and your wait staff always seems to pay close attention to that so I feel safe. What more could you ask for?

Outstanding. We had been to Elliott's many years ago and the meal definitely left a good enough impression to return on our most recent visit to Seattle. Food was out of this world and our server, Jay, was excellent and very attentive. We enjoyed crab claws, shrimp and oysters as an appetizer, and very much enjoyed the halibut and scallop risotto. Our drinks never went unfilled, and we were surprised with a free creme brulee for my fiancé's birthday. Definitely recommend and will absolutely return.

We reserved the dinner for our 4 years wedding anniversary. Restaurant atmosphere was a little casual for this special occasion but the food reviews was good so we were excited to dine there. Once we were seated, no one approach our table for service until we ask for it. Once someone arrived, he doesn't seem to be very happy that night. Restaurant also offers the 3 course meal Seattle Restaurant week but we were not given a menu for it. We had to ask for it. All and all, the whole experience was not a great one.

Loved Elliott's! The wine and drink list was full of choices, something for everyone. The Spicy Crab and corn Soup...well, let's just say I would have swiped the bowl with my finger to eat the remnants if I wasn't sitting with my boss. The Salmon (all of them) are out of this world. The food took a while to come out, but the place WAS busy, so I understand the slowness. Our server, Dunaway, was VERY knowledgeable and helpful. I specifically asked for the seared salmon to be more on the raw side and it was more like medium done. For $38, I have had a lot better for half the price. My friend who got the fried oysters said they didn't taste fresh, which I'm not surprised about. In Asian restaurants, that's what they do with old fish...batter and fry it. Great location with a view on the main tourist drag; however, food is overpriced and not particularly special. The chilled seafood platter (named, the 'Celebration') on the 'shareable' section of the menu sounds really attractive, but is overpriced seafood with average quality. The Dungeness crab lacked any real taste and I would have done better with some sticks of imitation crab legs. The snow crab legs were the only thing of any taste. \n\nThe Manila clams on their appetizer menu was delicious and the broth it sat in was good. They definitely need to offer some bread so patrons can sop up that flavor. \n\nService was average for a nicer place like this. We got there at the beginning of the evening before the dinner rush, but our waitress became very busy and our food took a long time to come out. It's unfortunate when you see other patrons receive the same dish as you that arrived after you did. Other than the less than attentive and slow service, the waitress was polite and responded to requests when asked/reminded. \n\nThere are better options out there, but if you want to pay for convenience and a view, you can take the gamble.

Service was very good, we were seated at our reservation time, food and drinks served quickly. Quite an extensive oyster menu selection if you're into that, we tried 4 diff types per the waiter's suggestions. He seemed very knowledgeable. Seriously over rated. My husband and I were visiting Seattle for the weekend, so we wanted to try the 'best restaurants' during the limited time we were there. We made this a priority because of all the reviews. Well this restaurant was basically a waste of a dinner for us. The food was nothing special and for the price not good at all. Very touristy spot. I get better seafood at home.... in St. Louis. I think this is just popular because of the location, which is nice. My scallops were tough and overly tasted like butter. My husbands seafood bowl included fish which so very tough and so were the crab legs. The place was busy, so maybe it just got overlooked and over cooked. Regardless, food was awful and we were stuck with a $163 check for 2 people. I think this is more of an elderly person spot. If you're looking for good food head over to Belltown where they have a bunch of fresh new age restaurants. We got an amazing dinner the next night at Wakefield. Drinks, appetizers and entrees and spent $64.

I wouldn't call this place a tourist trap like others have called it, but our experience wasn't very good. Everything was incredibly slow. Even though we had made a reservation through Open Table, it was still a half hour until we got seated, and there were plenty of open tables viewable in the dining room. The hostess staff was confused and kept lumping us into the people waiting for happy hour, which you cannot make a reservation for, even though we explained a few times we were waiting for the main dining room, and we already had a reservation. Once seated, we ordered relatively quickly and waiting for the food was even slower than waiting for the table initially. Thankfully it was tasty once it arrived, but unfortunately not good enough to override the rest of our experience.

I was disappointed, Elliott's has been a go to place when we want to have dinner on the Pier. However, the restaurant was very noisy; we had yell across the table to be heard, not a pleasant and relaxing experience. I ordered salmon and specifically validated how I wanted it done by including 'pink' in the middle; it came to the table over cooked and dry. The menu has also shrunk; there used to be more variety and the prices have gone up significantly. It took longer than usual to get two glasses of wine. We will continue to come to the Pier; however, for the food, service, price, atmosphere, and menu selection we will go to Ivar's or Fisherman's Landing. I mentioned the salmon to the waiter; he just said 'sorry' and that was how it was left. Well, 'sorry' we will dine at the many other restaurants to choose from including Assaggio's on 4th; our favorite place to dine; Mauro and his staff are the best.

Four of us went around 6:45 on a picture perfect August evening. We were seated along the window on the far side of the bar (farther out on the pier), permitting us nice views of boat traffic and blue sky without a lot of pedestrian traffic to block the views. They had already run out of Taylor kumamotos by the time we got there, so we had Humboldts. We liked the specialty kumamotos much better than the selection of Pacifics we were presented in addition. Prices definitely reflect the location and the tourist trade, as in not a lot of value. One special, grilled halibut, was actually a bit mushy in texture, while another, sauteed rock bass cheeks, got high praise from the person who ordered it. Mushroom strudel was quite good, fish and chips were solid, and pan fried oysters were generally good, except for a couple that were slightly burnt. Service by Andy was terrific, and cocktails were outstanding. Despite the expensive and less than stellar mains, we had a great time. People who don't like seafood will find the menu somewhat limited.

It wasn't even a whole dinner, it was just about 6 shrimp. You can get a pound of shrimp at Pike's Place Market for $24. If my memory serves me well, I first visited Elliott's some 20 years ago -- well, sometime before the millennium -- and remember being very satisfied with the food (soup, salad, oysters and salmon) and service. I thought it was a bit like the restaurants at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, an ok-to-good place for a meal, with a bit of the tourist trap destination for a location... but no one was writing online restaurant reviews back then.\n\nNow, married and father of two precocious children, vacationing in Seattle on the first day of the new year, we happened to drive by the restaurant on the way to our waterfront hotel. So, where do I decide to take my family for our first dinner of the new year? And guess primarily for what? The beautiful panoramic vista. Did I say 'tourist trap destination'?\n\nI proceeded to check out the restaurant on open table, trip advisor, as well as on their own website --a very contemporary and progressive plus -- and found the old place still appetizing.\n\nAnd, guess what? The vista was indeed beautiful, but the food and service were way above what I recalled, beyond what I expected, an especially pleasant return. \n\nThe menu selections were plentiful, but I figured, I'll order now what I ordered then, 'cause everything old seems new again. Add to that our waiter's advice on the oysters, the salads, and on the salmon's preparation and the dinner was spot on. (Kudos to Mike, our server, for the excellent suggestions and service.)\n\nWe all sampled each other's selections, except for my son, who doesn't like seafood and ordered some plain pasta from the kid's menu (and they were also very accommodating to follow his instructions on preparation).\n\nA fantastic meal and an excellent evening. Like I wrote, way above what I recalled, and certainly beyond what I expected. It's already on my list for the next time I/we visit 'The City of Goodwill'.

Elliott's is somewhat of a conundrum. On the one hand, they serve excellent food and provide excellent service. On the other, their location encourages attire that is more suitable to a hot dog stand than a fine dining restaurant. That said, we had a really good time at Elliott's and are happy we chose it for dinner last night. As is often the case with us, we enjoyed the appetizers and accompaniments more than the actual meat (or fish, as it may be). The oyster chowder was fantastic. In the small cup, there were two huge whole oysters. The cream soup was wonderful and had a red pepper kick to it, just the way I would have hoped it would be. My wife's fried green tomatoes topped with shrimp were excellent, as well. My wife had coho salmon grilled with a variety of sauces and accompaniments, including fresh asparagus. She reported the dish was excellent. My cod with crispy skin was served with a watermelon salsa. I'm not sure I really liked that pairing, but it did give me the idea of dicing watermelon to go into my mango salsa I fix at home. Elliott's has a nice array of desserts, as well. The peach cobbler was excellent while the lemon pound cake in my dessert was too heavy and was cooked so that it was almost burned on the edge. The wine list is a good one, though their markup seems to be somewhat greater than average. That said, they have some really good wines in the mid $40's. In all, it was an excellent evening. Glad we had dinner there.

We lucked out: the day we had lunch there it was 70, sunny, and we were able to dine outside with a view of the harbor the Bainbridge Island. Started with a spinach salad with smoked salmon that was very big and enough for two. Lunch was Dungeness crab--she had it steamed with drawn butter, I had it with a spicy sauce that tasted of Thai chili sauce and pineapple juice (different but I liked it). Dessert was homemade ice cream (chocolate with chocolate chips and pecans) and sorbet (blackberry and currant, nit too sweet), both were very good. The server was very accommodating and didn't rush us at all (we were there for over two hours--the food didn't come rapidly and we were in no hurry, plus it takes a while to dismantle crab and savor it).

Elliott specializes in fresh seasonal seafood. They have a wonderful selection of raw oysters and if you are there for Happy Hour the oysters are only $1.50 instead of $2-$3 each. The large menu offers a large variety of fresh fish and shellfish to satisfy everyone's palate. Everyone was pleased with their dinners of prawns, raw and fried oysters, cropping, king salmon, and halibut. Quality and freshness of their seafood prepared to your specific taste was key to this restaurant. We sat on the patio for an early dinner which was quieter than inside seating. Our waiter was very helpful to offer suggestions which was very nice.

At the end of the day... Great oysters, beer selection and nice views on the water. Does it get much better than that?\nIn-depth: Great place to try out while visiting Seattle. It's a little loud due to the large size, but we had no problem with seating. The views are nice outside on the water, but there will be a lengthy wait for these tables. This is a great spot for oysters, as there are quite a few options to chose from. The crab dip app and fish and chips were amazing. I'd stick to seafood here, but there are some options for non-seafood lovers. I'd take family or dates here, but not for business meeting as the place gets pretty loud.

Elliot's popped up and we reserved our table.\n\nWonderful to just walk in and be seated within minutes of our arrival outside so we could see the boats, ferries, The Wheel, and more.\n\nWe ordered a sample plate of the available oysters on the half-shell and our server prepared the plate with the names of the oysters. Delicious!\n\nWe had the grilled plank salmon and the grilled seafood salad for entrees, both cooked wonderfully.\n\nDessert was split, a creamy coconut cream tart with a raspberry glaze. Food was very disappointing. My yakisoba was very dry and had no taste, the halibut dish was over cooked. The only item that was good was the hyper expense 72 dollar crab legs (which she misrepresented - it was much smaller than what she led us to believe).\n\nAs for the waitress, she (Kathy)was quite bad. She only came by to ask if we needed refills only at the end of our meal. And she forgot to bring the butter for our 72 dollar crab. We had to ask the bus boy to get it. In fact, our bus boy served us better than the waitress that we have half the tip to him.\n\nOverall, we were very disappointed with Elliot's and will never go back there again - should have gone to Ivars or Fishermans or Anthony's which provide a better Seattle seafood experience. The fact that these guys represent Seattle for seafood is quite embarrassing. Folks deserve better.

Elliott's cannot be beat for its large selection of fresh oysters and the nice view of Puget Sound's Elliott Bay that can be enjoyed while slurping them. On the night I went recently, I enjoyed a half dozen nice plump raw oysters before digging into a whole dungeness crab (with the legs and joints already cracked, fortunately). This was my first time eating this crustacean (dipping pieces of it into melted butter) and I can see why people go gaga over them. They're delicious, albeit a bit pricey ($56 for a whole one). I must say I have never had oysters in the raw that tasted this good. With a nice champagne dipping sauce. If she would've just stated this in the beginning, then it wouldn't have been a big deal but that was very misleading, and we waited around for over half an hour having a reservation when we really didn't need to.\nRegardless, after finally getting seated, service was a bit slow, understand were a bit busy, but overall ended up enjoying our dining. All the seafood orders were great - but anything from the land was not good at all, including HUGE helpings of undercooked asparagus with a couple of the meals. Maybe it would have felt different if we'd sat outside with the view. Fell short of impressing my dad on father's day and we were definitely over dressed.

Had an incredible dinner for our 25th anniversary. I had grilled shrimp with risotto and my husband had the seared scallops with braised beef. Both were 'plate lickin' good. Our server picked out a variety of really fresh and distinctive oysters that were terrific. We finished up with the salted caramel sundae for dessert. The service was attentive and friendly. Overall, one of our best meals ever.

We had to wait 10 minute even when I made a reservation and there were literally 20 tables open, and no apology or explanation of what is going on. Because I worked in a restaurant industry I didn't want to be all cranky so I just set in a table where we were seated and a guy came by to get us water few minutes after but we were ready to order then was told that he was not our server so that he'll have someone else come by. Shortly after awhile waiting for our waiter/waitress to come by he confronted himself saying he is the server and that he could take the order (weird). \n\nWe did not get our bread to start and our appetizer which was simply calamari came out with our meal which took like 30-50 minutes to come out, I'm not being difficult but things were irritated me from the beginning. What's funny? the table in front of us got their stuff early and got breads as a starter, at this point I felt very harassed with the service we were getting.\nNo one came by to check on us or filled our water OR came by to give us checks, we had to constantly call and search out for our waiter to get us what we need which was only TWICE (one for water & second check).\n\nI wanted to leave NO tip but my partner was nice enough to leave at least few bucks for few 'service' we got. \n\nWon't be coming back!

This is a great place for oysters, especially during happy hour. They have a couple of dozen to choose from, US and Canadian Pacific and Atlantic. Some (but not all) servers have an excellent knowledge of the different types of oysters. A good selection of wine. The other food is fairly mediocre being overcooked, over-spiced (for sea food) and overpriced. The ambience right on the waterfront is excellent, especially on a sunny day. Stick with the oysters.

I have been to Elliott's many times. I booked this restaurant last week because I wanted to find a restaurant with a great view AND outdoor seating. Elliott's was one of the few restaurants that met criteria and still had availability. My only hesitation in going here is their prices are a bit higher than other restaurants we frequent. With that said, the seafood is always fresh and well prepared. \n\nWe actually ended up sitting inside because we were concerned it was going to get chilly as the night went on. We got a table right by the window so we could still enjoy the view. Service was great, drinks refilled quickly, good timing of appetizer and entrée delivery.

Their fresh seafood is generally really good, but, like many restaurants, they error on the side of underdone to keep their fish moist. In the case of Elliotts's O.H. I think they may go a bit too far on the side of raw, particularly with fresh (never frozen) salmon, which often contains parasites. Shrimp were also a bit underdone (and I usually like them a bit that way--but this was a tad too far in the raw direction for something that's not sushi). The chowder was very good. Calamari was also good but greasy with a puddle of oil in the bottom of the serving container. Friends who had oysters said they were terrific. Waitstaff was accommodating regarding request to substitute scallops for shrimp in one dish, and the view is amazing. Outdoor seating was very tight, though, and chairs not comfortable or easy to move around.

They seated us at a table that looked out over the water and we watched ferries coming and going all evening. Outstanding! They also have a fair amount of outdoor seating available but it was a bit too chilly the night we were there. The menu (and bar menu) were both extensive, the food was fresh and delicious and the waiters were attentive. The noise level was fairly high. I would have given the overall experience 5 stars but I think our waiter was new and he made a few blunders which really didn't impact our experience too much (forgot one appetizer so he had to serve it with our dinner). We'd come to Seattle from Montana for a 50 birthday get away, and to enjoy some fresh seafood. While we had many, many restaurant options we chose Elliott's for it's reputation and 'simple good food feel'- though the ambiance was quite nice inside too. It was great to walk in and take in a display of at least a dozen or more varieties of oysters on ice, and know that they are only shucked once the order comes in. Our server was incredibly welcoming and took the time to educate us on the nuances of oyster choice, and created an oyster assortment plate for us that allowed us to enjoy real differences between the varieties. While not new to oysters, it was a treat to have the wide, fresh selection. We also loved the spicy sauce (on the side) for the whole dungeness crab- very different and flavorful, and the bairdi crab legs were sweet and fantastic with nothing more than the classic side of melted butter. Wished we could have had a table further out front closer to the water, but we did have a view of the dock and boats. Will definitely go back to Elliott's the next time to Seattle.

My friends and I stopped by Elliott's on 2/11 for the Happy Hour. The food and (especially) the service were so good that we decided to come back the next day. Big mistake! While the seafood was still excellent, the service was decidedly not. \n\nBesides taking orders and serving the food, our waitress never stopped by to ask how we were doing. While an obligatory 'what else can I get for you?' was offered when the food came to the table, any competent wait person should know to actively scan the tables in order to anticipate the needs of the patrons. \n\nIn a good restaurant, a diner should never have to whip her head around or raise her hand to draw the attention of the wait staff. Since I had to constantly play 'catch my waitress' - even to the point of asking another waiter to get her for me - I could not enjoy the meal. This, on a not-so-busy night, is inexcusable.

We are just visiting and chose this restaurant over others based on online reviews. I'm not sure how Elliott's rates a 4.5. There was nothing remarkable about our experience. We are 'foodies,' so maybe our expectations are higher than the average diner. The service at Starbucks was friendlier. The food is way overpriced for being nothing special. The space was at least 50% empty. The view is nice, if you get seating with a view. Sorry, but I can't recommend this establishment.

The food was excellent as usual. The waiter was playful, which my companions found to be a little annoying, but I enjoyed his playful banter. We had a dozen oysters, oysters Rockefeller, and a load of bread w/butter for our appetizer. We also had both spicy and white clam chowder. Yum. My meal was Cioppino. I'm not totally sure what everyone else had, but mine was great. I actually left most of my crab legs untouched. I'm just really lazy about cracking them. Maybe I should have asked them to do it for me; I wonder if they would have. Anyways, great meal. We ended it with creme brulee. Oh yeah, we also shared a couple bottles of Chateau St. Michelle Sauvignon Blanc.

I treated my sisters to dinner here for some great food with a nice view of the Puget Sound. The food was outstanding, the service was great, the ambiance was nice and the view was fantastic. I had the Cioppino, which was the best I've had, with a generous portion of dungeons crab legs along with the other normal shell fish and prawns mixed in. The selection of Oysters is mind boggling, but our server - who always seemed to be there just when we needed her - hooked us up with a nice selection.

I was sooooo disappointed when Elliott's closed during the renovations down on the waterfront. We have taken my mother there for most Mother's Days and after an opera or play for many years. \nWhen my mom got us tickets to see Marriage of Figaro, the first thing I did was check to see if Elliott's was back open - and BINGO! YAY!\nThe food was as good as we both remembered, the atmosphere was still lovely, and we were treated wonderfully.\nBut - there's always a but, isn't there! - the service was VERY slow! Only half the restaurant was full - it seems not that many folks realize they are back open....but we waited way too long for anything we ordered.\nDespite that - we WILL be back.

Since moving away from the waterfront in stages - first different job locations within Seattle, and now completely out of state - I haven't had occasion to visit Elliott's lately...until last week, when I attended meetings at the Bell Harbor Conference Center on Alaskan Way. I HAD to go there, I've wondered how it's changed over the years. The salmon was phenomenal and still as fresh as ever; the house salad just as I remembered; even the vegetables (peas in pods, winter squash) were different, tasty and inspired. And they still have the bourbon sauce - it comes with an oyster dish but you can get a side of it on request...it's intense, complex, liquor-y and absolutely FLIPS the salmon into a whole other dimension of flavor!!! I was teary leaving this place. It brought back such wonderful memories; the superior quality of food, service and ambiance has hardly changed. You're welcomed, well fed and receive good value for your money. Elliott's...my old friend...I've missed you. I still LOVE you. And I promise a rendezvous whenever I'm in town, just you and me. :-) Thank you for always being there!!!

I found out about the restaurant from a friend, so I had high expectations. First thing I noticed was the presentation. The environment was warm and welcoming. The staff were courteous and helpful. One thing I'll always remember is the beautiful view from the pier. The food is more of a decorative and quality over quanitty. I wouldnt recommend if you're looking for big servings. I'll certainly consider taking another date here considering how romantic the restaurant is.

We enjoyed our meal at Elliot's -- good food, excellent service -- but I felt it was a bit expensive for what you get. For example, I had the King Salmon with the crab topping, an expensive option at $46 if I remember right. It was quite good, but not particularly large and not as outstanding as I'd have expected for the price.\n\nI would probably go back, but would order differently.

Our Arizona friends were visiting and wanted OYSTERS! So did we!\nSo we met at Elliott's on Sunday, Dec, 27 at noon with our friends whom we had not seen in years. Our waitress Kristin was very patient with us as we tried to stop chatting long enough to order. \nAll four of us ordered the Oysters Rockefeller which were the best we have ever eaten....5 large yummy delights. We then ordered chowders and salads as well as some raw oysters. \nTwo + hours later we left with delicious memories and parking stickers which helped defray the expense of the lot across the street.\nEverything was perfect! Thanks for a great experience with our friends.

I searched 'Best Seafood Restaurants' Elliot's came up, I was familiar with the location on the waterfront and booked it. I was very satisfied that I did. Everything about my dining experience was spectacular. \nGreat view on the waterfront at sunset, great food, friendly and professional service, valet parking in a very busy area, ambience was great and the food was delicious. On our first night in Seattle, we had dinner here. There was a lot of construction on the piers, and it was quite cold (December 29). We were discouraged from walking around, so we arrived earlier than the 7:30 reservation and sat at the bar. We ordered appetizers, including calamari and oysters Rockefeller, which were delicious. The staff accommodated us and got us a table right at the window looking out on the harbor. The wooden fixtures, the soft lighting, and the bustle created a warm atmosphere without pretensions. This is obviously a popular place; it was packed, but not too noisy. The seafood was flavorful and the service excellent. We felt we had tapped into the spirit of Seattle.

We try to get out to Elliott's at least 2-3 times per year and each time we do visit for lunch or dinner, we are never disappointed. My wife and I enjoy the oysters immensely. The selection is always fresh and each staff member knows so much about each location, each specific oyster bed in the Puget Sound and beyond that we have never had a bad oyster! Plus, the champagne topping (I forgot the formal term!) is the best thing I've ever tasted. Aside from the oysters as a starter, we've enjoyed the king salmon, crab cakes, gnocchi, chowder, halibut, scallops, etc... \n\nMy 10-year old son is a huge mussels fan and Elliott's is his favorite place to dine for the special delicacy. Elliot's is the first place I thought of for a last-minute out of town guest. On the water, fresh seafood, exemplifies Seattle. Sorry to say, it's just not that amazing for the price. I mean, the food was fine but somewhat uninspired and we were seated at what has to be the worst table in the place -- right by the kitchen, nowhere near a view. I've been there for brunch and somehow the ambiance worked, but at night we should've gone somewhere else. Just not that impressive. The service was good, so just to be clear, this is about spending $300 to sit at a crummy table and eat less than exceptional food.

Elliot's is a good across the board restaurant which should generally please a lot of people - it's on a pier just next to where the ferries go in and out and has views from just about any table - the outdoor dining (when weather permits) is wonderful too. The food is good, not 'great' but there is something for everyone - and you can find things from a moderate to somewhat expensive price on the menu. The salmon entrees are very good and I've had the fish and chips a couple times and I really enjoyed them. The wine list is of good size and there are lots of different selections. It's a large space, but cozy and warm and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would go back - it's great for out of town visitors. There are non-seafood items as well.

Four of us had drinks and dinner. I ordered a brandy Manhattan on the rocks, which arrived neat. I could taste only brandy. the other ingredients seemed to have been lost somewhere.\nMy wife had cioppino, which she enjoyed, and our guests shared a seafood platter that they enjoyed. I ordered Dungeness crab cakes, which contained crab blended with other seafood products. They did not have the signature fresh, slightly sweet taste of pure Dungeness crab but an indistinct, slightly fishy taste. They came without an accompanying sauce such as beurre blanc or plum sauce. the rice and cole slaw that came with the crab cakes were both good. My fiancee and I both work for a non-profit that serves underprivileged youth. Often, we're treated differently in fine establishments because we look young and somewhat alternative. Its a well promoted tourist establishment which feels a little tired. If that's what you are after its OK - it offers all the standard offerings you would expect at this kind of place nothing too imaginative or seasonal & at the standard tourist prices because they can. However places like Taylor farms offer much better oysters in a more ambient space. And there are plenty of great seafood establishments in Seattle where you don't have to brave the construction & you can get a much finer style of cuisine of better quality.

We went to Elliott's oyster house on Tuesday night based on the review we read. But it turned out to be the opposite. Our server is a guy in his mid 40s, he didn't dress properly and barely gave smiles. We did not feel welcomed. When we asked our server about the oysters from Washington. The server barely had any knowledge about their menu. :-/ We ordered 20 oysters to start and before we had a chance to order main, the server disappeared. We had to wait for 20 min for the server to show up again to take orders for main. Not sure if it's the style of the restaurant. When we had our oyster, there's little cracked shell and sand in all the oysters we had!!!!!!!! It's absolutely unacceptable. When we told the server, the server told us, they have a couple of oyster shacker and he's not sure if it supposed to be like that.. Ohh really?? Then we had our main, both salmon and my friend's lobster dish were overcooked. We are very disappointed. I would not recommend this restaurant to any of my friends.

Food was cold, oysters Rockefeller were terrible, raw red onion took over halibut, calimari was over fried and chewy. Didn't eat most of what came out and nothing was taken off the check. Very expensive for a disappointing meal.

We enjoyed excellent service and the selection of oysters was strong. We tried a couple of varieties and they were outstanding. For whatever reason, no one outside Maryland understands how to make a crab cake, but in this Elliott's is not alone so I wouldn't hold it against them. Everything else was great.

We sat on the patio facing the water which was nice, the service was great, my only complaint was the price we paid for what we ordered. Salmon and crab dinner, salmon portion was quite small. All tasted good and was cooked well.

Went to Elliott's Oyster House to celebrate my husband's birthday. We enjoyed the celebration appetizer platter with my mom and sister. Had some good entrées all around and finished off with some decadent desserts. Our server was attentive despite the dinner rush and surprised the table with a birthday crème brulé. Make a reservation and enjoy your time here.

The food was great, the service was really good although they were really busy and we had to wait towards the end of our meal for things like water refills. The place is listed on one of the best places to eat and it truly is. My husband says it's the best crab he's ever had, he got the whole Dungeness crab and got the same crab along with red king crab several times on this trip & Elliott's was still the best prepared & flavor.

This is a typical tourist restaurant with overpriced food for the quality. I ordered the day's fish special and it was average at best. Way too expensive for what you get. The ambiance suits big groups and children, but I would not recommend it even for that. The view is nice if you can get a table with one, but you could also just walk behind the restaurant after dinner (as we did) and look at the view of Puget Sound and the Ferris wheel for free.

Really worried this would be a huge, overblown tourist trap given it's location on the pier, but honestly it was fantastic. The oysters came with this amazing champagne/sorbet that I just could not get enough of and was the perfect pairing for the oysters. Our server was knowledgeable and pleasant. We had a really lovely time.

Great food in an unforgettable setting. The Seafood is as fresh and unique as you'll find anywhere. If you're waiting for a table, the area is full of great shops to see, but I recommend taking in the sights of the Puget Sound. Watching the ships, ferries, and tour boats is great entertainment. You'll get top of the line food, personal service, and feel like you had a real Seattle seafood experience.

Celebrated our anniversary at Elliott's on a beautiful August evening. The food and service were excellent. Did not feel rushed. Heirloom tomatoes with burrata were perfect. Alder plank salmon from Neah Bay was outstanding. Such a classic summer meal. Worth the effort to get past the construction and tourists.

Although we heard good things about this restaurant, the food far exceeded our expectations. We started with a bowl of their White Clam Chowder and the Shrimp and Crab Dip. Since the Dip took a little longer (they were busy) than planned, they brought a complimentary cup of their Spicy Salmon Corn Chowder. All three items were taste sensations.......... what we call 'moaning food' in our house.....They were that good.\nBowls and cups were larger than typical anywhere else...........could have been our entire meal.\nFor entrees, my wife had the Grilled Seafood Salad and I had the Crispy Black Cod. Both were superbly prepared .................again, very tasty dishes.\nThe service was very attentive and professional. The atmosphere with the sunset views of the bay were the icing on the cake.\nWe live in Northern NJ and have many top shelf restaurants in NJ and NYC. This dinner at Elliot's was one of the best we had in a long time. We would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Seattle.........not to be missed.

After being a long time visitor to Elliott's we were a bit disappointed after tonight's dinner. The menu has changed up a bit (no more spinach smoked salmon salad 😞) and the steamed crab was a tad over cooked. Given this is one of our favs we will give it another chance but it definitely felt like the quality went down from our last visit...

A little disappointed in seating as earlier i had spoken with an Elliott staff member re bringing out of town guests, but i did fail to make a special request that we be seated by a window. To counter this situation, we were seated away from the noisiest dining area-- but then we were near the kitchen door so the clattering of dishes had its moments. \n\nOur server was very attentive and knowledgeable without being overbearing; he was polite w/o being stiff; both his appearance and grooming were impressive.\n\nThe food was good but not not as memorable as past experiences. My blackened Coho salmon seemed over cooked (soft-mushy) and lentils were warmish but looked jelled or crusty as if my plate sat under a warming light while the other 4 entrees were prepared. My husband tasted my salmon and stated to me (on the QT) that he was glad that he had ordered the King Salmon. Earlier, the appetizers: the Oysters Rockefeller were just fair-- not particularly flavorful & the texture was (again) mushy (to me) and i would have appreciated being informed that the crab cakes appetizer included only 2 cakes-- there were five adults sharing 3 different appetizers; the mushrooms were great and i loved the fig chutney! The Elliott house salad was mostly divine, however overwhelmed by the amount of dressing-- excellent dressing but i wish that i'd asked for it on the side. The others enjoyed different clam chowders. Oh, and i thought the mashed potatoes from my son's plate were boring-- under seasoned which doesn't necessarily mean 'add more salt.' My husband's roasted potatoes were excellent. No desserts were ordered.\n\nThe New Zealand wine was nice and we mostly enjoyed satisfying dishes-- the others stated they were pleased-- and i took their comments under advisement and kept quiet.\n\nGood enough to very good dining . . .

We arrived late for our 5:30 reservation but called ahead and were seated as soon as we arrived!\n\nServer was excellent answered questions informed and gave us just enough attention.\n\nThe Potato Sourdough bread from Grand Central bakery was the best we have had.\n\nThe Sockeye salmon prepared simply was the best my date had ever had.\n\ni had the swordfish which was superb.\n\nFor appetizers we had crab cakes. (awesome with great jicama slaw) and Oysters Rockefeller.\n\nWe wanted dessert but were running late for a show.\n\nWe will definitely be back.\n\nOnly one small problem. I was sick for about a 36 hour period after eating there. I know this is a risk with seafood and can happen anywhere and do not hold it against the establishment.

Good food, reasonable service, pricey, but extremely loud. Combination of a large number of Toronto Bluejays fans, squalling children and a table next to the kitchen caused us to ask for a different table. The staff quickly responded despite the pressure of waiting throngs for seating. Kudos to the reservations staff!

Six of us met here before attending a concert in Seattle. Staff was friendly enough but food took 45 minutes from order to table. They have a large oyster menu but only about 15% of what is listed on the menu was available. I love Kumos and they sell them for $3.50 per oyster. Of the half dozen I ordered, three of them were absolutely minuscule and we were laughing out loud at what a rip off it was. Seriously, half of my oysters were were about as big as dime if that. I used to go here a lot and recommend it but no more. We'll find some other place to go next time.

We were seated at a nice table. The service was fine. I thought the food was a bit overpriced. The most notable thing that happened was when I ordered Niçoise salad and it was served with completely raw fingerling potatoes. We have eaten at Elliot's several times - usually when w e have out of town guests because the view from the restaurant is great. But their food is only so so. I had the crab cakes, and the sauce on the cakes was not good. The spicey crab corn chowder, however, was very good. My husband had the risotto which he said was only ok. It seems that the quality of their offerings has deteriorated in the past few years.

We had reservations for the 3rd, and realized after being closed nearly a year, the service, tempo and execution at Elliot's may not be up to your normally high standards. Our friends from out of town met us at the restaurant and we shared some wine while catching up. We then ordered a couple of appetizers. Our friends specifically told our waiter to make the oysters 'crispy'. Unfortunately, they arrived pretty mushy. We, who appreciate the dish, would have been fine. Our friends, however, sent them back. When waiter returned with my husband's appetizer, he accidently dropped the dish on my husband, the table, his water glass and wine. He hastily cleaned it up, however, no attempt was made to refill our water glasses or wine. I realize it was a very busy night and our waiter had a lot of tables but it seemed to us we should not have had to ask for water an additional 3 times before we got it. The food was phenomenal. We appreciated the salads and entrees very much. However, our waiter gave us the distinct impression he was exasperated by us and our water requests and just disappeared. This may seem like a small thing, and in the big scheme of things probably was, but our dinner tab was well over $400 and the experience left us with a sad feeling of being unwelcome, and that our return patronage was of no value.

My husband and I have been going to Elliott's for years and we were so excited when the restaurant would be open in time to take visiting friends on July 3. Unfortunately, the food was just not up to par, the Copper River Salmon was over cooked and dry ( I had been bragging about it all day) and the Clam Chowder was missing one main ingredient, Clams. I was also shocked that you didn't use the time closed to update the restaurant a little; as
