Food was good; however, the service was pretty poor. Once we were seated, we waited twenty minutes before restaurant staff came to our table to ask if we wanted drinks. I would possibly return again, but it definitely did not leave a favorable impression.

we went here for my brothers 21st birthday. Overall, it was a good experience but a couple things bothered me. \n1. Our service. Our waitress was friendly, but was not knowledgeable about the menu, made mistakes on more than one drink, and rarely checked in on us. We spilled water while she was at the table and she did not offer to bring us more napkins or anything. \n2. I called ahead and made a note on our open table that it was a 21st birthday. When i called, i was told they have some sort of brownie/candle for birthdays- this was not offered to us. \n3. we had to request our bill 3 times. \n\nThe food was great, but service was terrible which is unfortunate as I visit the bar often. If I am looking for a fun mexican place in Lower Queen Anne, pesos has lost my business. I will go to Agave.

Pesos has really gone down hill over the last several years. Their food used to be amazing and you knew that you could always get a great meal there. The food was terrible, poor quality meat and fish. The Ahi dish had a very strong fishy taste (good Ahi doesn't taste like canned tuna), the carne asada used to be their best dish but the meat was tough and had no taste. The drinks are obviously made with cheap liquor (used to be high quality liquor and good tasting). They taste like they are made for college students trying to get drunk. The service was terrible the waitress didn't check on us or ask us if we wanted another drink. She was unaware of specials and even brought us the wrong food twice.\nMy suggestion is that Pesos get rid of it's restaurant and just become a dive bar because that's all it is now.

Have been to Pesos many times. On this night, service was TERRIBLE! Took at least 10 minutes before anyone noticed we were even seated. \n\nFood was very tasty, but very luke warm--I like my food hot. Because we were going to a play, we did not have time to send it back. \n\nTook a very long time from the time we got the bill for the server to come back and pick up the payment. \n\nI will go back, but I hope service is better.

Everyone says there is no good mexican food in Seattle. We can quibble about what qualifies as mexican, but Peso's fits the criteria in my mind and the food is scrumptious! Great service, yummy drinks, tasty sangria - not too sweet! - and nice ambiance. It gets noisy on Friday and Saturday nights and during big sporting events, but we routinely go for weeknight dinners and it's great.

I could not get a reservation for Toulouse Petit for a pre-opera dinner so booked a table at Peso's, owned by the same people. Like their neighbor, this place has a large menu with something for everyone. It's not strictly Mexican although they have tacos, enchiladas, chips, salsa and guacamole. They also have pastas, salads and seafood. I was happy with the paella I ordered, flavorful with just the right amount of heat from the chorizo. My friend had the crab enchiladas and reported they were good. We had early reservations but the place filled up quickly on a Wednesday evening. By the time we left a little before 7:00, there were folks waiting for tables. Our server was really busy but never forgot us.

First, the reason we go out to eat: the food. It was amazing. It was a twist on Latin cooking that we had not experienced in a long time. Complex and terrific flavors. Spicy but not overwhelming. All combined with wonderful cocktails and terrific deserts. \n\nSecond, the service, specifically our server, Erin. When mistakes happen, it's not the mistake that lasts, it's how the restaurant recovers. And when the main course came our 90 seconds after our salad course was delivered, Erin was all over it. The mains were whisked away and Erin apologized and assured us that the main courses will be remade when we were ready. They were delivered at our pace and we had a terrific meal!\n\nErin and the food made for a lovely celebration for my niece's 21st Birthday. \n\nWe don't make it to lower Queen Anne that often. But now, we have a favorite restaurant. We look forward to returning to Peso's very soon.

The food was delicious as well as the drinks. Everything was good except our waitress, particularly toward the end. We had a table of 7, which for whatever reason took our server literally an HOUR to bring us our bill. She initially brought it over, without splitting the bill up, and told us to split it ourselves. We tried two separate times, both somehow coming up short. She finally told us, 'now that I have enough time, I'll split your bill for you.' Unfortunately, this occasion was for someone's birthday, which she was well aware of. If I ever return, I'll be sure to not have the same server. Our reservations were at 7 and we werent able to leave until after 10pm. The cherry on top was being charged two separate times on my debit card, which thankfully was later refunded.

This is the second time my wife and I have been here and what a coincidence, sat at the exact same table. The waitress was great. Never got her name but she was, on top of serving us well, very nice looking. Beautiful. Reminded me of Jennifer Aniston. (I hope she knows who she is).\n\nGreat food. I had the meatloaf and my wife the Pacific Fish plate. Meatloaf was very tasty. The fish was a bit spicy for my wife but I tried it and was very good.\n\nWe went around 7:30 and all the TV's were on and quite a crowd. Couldn't hear the music because everyone was talking (load) all at once. They have tables for 4, 6 and 8.

The location is convenient for dinner if you are attending an event at the Seattle Center. This restaurant is a bit more quiet than its sister establishment next door. That makes conversing easier. The servings were certainly generous, but each dish was just okay.

Coming from the land of Rick Bayless (Chicago), I know how diverse and rich Mexican food can be, other than the usual fare. I had been to Peso's Siamese twin, Toulouse Petit Kitchen, a few times for their cajun food and noticed some similarities on the Peso's menu before coming in. When I stepped into Peso's, I thought I had stepped into Toulouse by mistake due to the decor. Especially for Seattle, the ('Mexican') food was incredible and did not disappoint, except for one thing. The 'green chili mole' was as 'mole' as salsa verde! Will definitely return to try others on the very extensive menu. They brought the pro-tizers with the entrees and missed one of the entrees......not good! It was too bad the prawn beignets weren't available this night. See.....I told you they were Siamese twins!! (They have crawfish beignets next door.) The search continues for mole in the Pacific NorthWest. (May have a better chance of that in Portlandia.)

Heard great things about Pesos, so when work landed me in Seattle I decided to give it a try. The food was delicious, but there were problems with the staff. First, upon arrival, and with a reservation made weeks earlier, the hostess placed our party of 2 at a tiny table right by the door. When I requested a different table, I was told the other larger tables were for parties of 4. I accepted that, but not five minutes later the hostess seated a couple at that same table I'd asked for. That's right, 2 people at the table supposedly for 4!! The waitress was also subpar. She was slow and didn't check back much at all. Most of our food was brought by fellow staff members. Overall, I will not be recommending my business clients to go to Pesos unless they like rude hostesses and waitresses who look put out to have to do their job.

Peso's describes itself as a 'Mexican eatery' but it is no where near authentic Mexican food nor is it Spanish, nor Tex-Mex, nor Cali-Mex. It's basically like some European (not including Spain) made a bland version of beans and rice and tried to label it as 'Mexican food'. They skimp out on the cheese in their quesadillas and nachos and they serve weird stuff like burgers, walnut prawns and apple crisp for dessert, which you wouldn't normally see in a Mexican eatery. Although the service was good during a slow time of the day, I was not impressed at all and their food is overpriced. They also played old 90's pop music which was annoying and I was not expecting.

Our food was very good. However, there were a couple of service drawbacks. It was a cold night and we were seated right by the door. We were seated closer to the door than the greeter was. Really disgusted in how my boyfriend and I were treated. We had made New Year's Eve reservations a month ago and were looking forward to trying it for first time. We checked in and the host said it would be a couple minutes for a table. Sure no problem, it was busy. Five minutes later a table cleared. The host handed us menus and said, 'go and sit down, your table is over there.' Didn't even walk us to our table. Just pointed as to where to sit. Funny how other people were seated throughout the evening. Too bad because the food was really good but I will NEVER come back given how we were treated. Also minutes after I left I received an email saying my reservation had been canceled...after having eaten there. Tried to speak to the hostess about it who gave me nothing but attitude then passed me off to a manager who I'm sure will never respond. The food was delicious though!

Peso's has been a family favorite since I was little and it never disappoints! The interior is so uniquely vibrant yet romantic and beautiful. The menu is so extensive it sometimes makes it hard to choose since everything is spot on with the taste, presentation and flavor palette.\nWe recently went in celebration of my birthday and our waitress was incredible, and she had some fantastic recommendations. The carne asada was the end to all other carne asadas, it was that good. We created our own version of surf n turf with an order of garlic prawns with shiitake mushrooms and basmati rice and it was an incredible flavor experience! \nI highly recommend the pomegranate sangria (light and refreshing) but there are a myriad of drinks to boot. The caramel flan is a classic and definitely my favorite dessert. It looks even better with a birthday candle coming your way! Thanks Pesos, I will always love you guys!

The food was decent. I liked everything that I had ordered. Although I think the chef is a little confused on what they are trying to do at this restaurant. I expected high end Mexican food on the menu. Although that cuisine was featured very prominently I feel like I could have found spaghetti and meatballs with the variety on the menu. But the food wasn't the bad part of the experience. I got the Chili Verde Pork and would recommend it to any first timer to the restaurant. The waitress was the WORST. Her first mistake was forgivable enough, but I expect a waitress at a 'trendy' Mexican restaurant to know what Mezcal is. Everything was downhill from there. I had to flag her down to order another beverage. After I ordered said beverage she did not take the time to ask if my girlfriend needed one too. Nor did she come to check on us periodically during the meal. Felt as if we were being rushed.
