Adorable room, just the right size for the one night we stayed in town.
This is a great location right in the middle of town so a very short walk to everything which was very nice. Had fresh roasted coffee in the room which was way better than the packets you usually get at hotels. Also enjoyed having a DVD library to utilize Had the toilet clog and they didn't have a plunger, luckily it worked itself out. The bed is pretty hard which my girlfriend didn't mind but I hated it since I'm used to a softer mattress.
Room clean with wonderful toweling and robe. Nicely refurbished older property. First night, had no neighbors = wonderful; second both sides occupied and found the walls thinner than paper; one side, fighting; other side loud talk, both for hours = limited sleep for me!
I loved how cozy this hotel was, the nautical decorations and bed design were really cute. The coffee was freshly ground, which was GREAT! You never see that at hotels, and I am a bit of a coffee snob so I loved having that. There is no sound proofing, NONE. Early in the morning, we were woken up by stomping above us and the staff talking LOUDLY in the room next to us. This really ruined the experience for us, we were really sleep deprived thanks to all the noise!
Location was ideal! Very clean. Went off season, best idea ever Queen bed was no good. Tossed and turned all night.
comfortable beds and especially nice pillows. coffee was good and generous plenty of towels and shampoos etc. lots of room even with kingsize bed next door tenant was talking in the middle of the night.
It is easy walking distance to everything.
Older but the service was outstanding an location was a excellent All most everything
The hotel is an older one, but is comfortable and inviting. Everyone was very welcoming. Nope.

Good location walking distance to main part of town. Staff was super friendly. Outdated and in need of major repair. Leak under the bathroom sink with mold. Leak in the ceiling over the kitchen sink. Wallpaper peeling in the bathroom. Mattresses are the worst I've ever slept on. Hide a bed was broken. I could go on and on.
I have nothing good to say about this hotel. The first room had no heat. It was pouring rain and cold. The gal from the front desk tried for about 20 mins. to get the heat to work, then moved us to another room. We had come for the night razor clam tide. After they moved us to another room we left for the beach to dig for clams. After 3 hours on the beach we came back to our room to shower and get warm. My friend said come look at this, and on the pillow was a bed bug. We pulled up the mattress and found a few scattering. We packed our things, called the front desk and the manager wouldn't let us in the lobby area. When the manager finally opened the door he was so confrontational about the situation and said there are no bed bugs. We had one in a zip lock bag and pictures, he yelled get out of my hotel! Challenging us, said to get off his property! and was not going to give us a refund, OR let us get our bags out of the room. We had to call 911. The officers told him if he didn't let us get our things he would be charged with theft. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!
The Hotel was close to the beach that you could either walk or drive on. There were elevators and the rooms were clean, quite and nice. The staff was friendly and at a good price. Pop machine was out of order, and the bed was not comfortable.
Free breakfast waffles and coffee. OJ, first come first served. Not enough light in the room. Nice table to sit at and read or play a game but you won't be able to see. I told the manager (friendly fellow) that my cable was out and the entry light was burned out and he fixed one of the two. It's so dark in there I needed a flashlight to operate the microwave. First motel I've stayed at with no carpet. Nice hi def tv but low def cable service so it's a fuzzy picture. Soap dispensers in shower and lav but I prefer a good old bar of soap. Other than that, a great place to stay for the money.
This hotel has a lot going for it: stylish "repurposed industrial" decor, hard floors (no skeevy carpet), excellent restaurant, located right on the beach, close to the downtown strip. There are board games snd bikes to borrow in the lobby, as well as really good coffee (a rarity in hotels). Most of the clientele are twenty-somethings, but there are families and older couples too. The biggest problem was the fickle hot water, which ran both really hot and really cold many times during a shower. We also seemed to have the misfortune of being in the one room with a permanently fogged over window (it has some sort of calcium build up on it), but the rest of the windows seem fine. No air conditioning or breakfast.
Cute rooms, great staff, awesome amenities, and the restaurant "pickled fish" was delicious. Beautiful setting. I would come back in a heartbeat. I was excited for the memory foam mattress but it sort of felt like just a piece of memory foam on a board. Still good a good nights sleep and woke up happy.
We stayed at Adrift with our 2 children aged 3 and 7 for just one night however we were in Long Beach for 2 full days. We arrived early the first day to check in and although I was told the room wouldn't be ready for a little while, I was told I was welcome to the amenities offered in the lobby and "Pickled Fish" which is the restaurant upstairs. There are many options for amenities here and many are fun and free! We had to option to borrow bicycles (although not child size so this is an adult only option), borrow dvds, board games, or puzzles, or get some coffee, tea, ice waters (flavored with orange slices or lime slices when we were there!). They also had a small snack/boutique area in which we had the ability to purchase some of the amazing soaps and lotions that they offer in the rooms, snacks, and if on a romantic evening some lovely wines. Oh, and we were also informed they have a ping pong table and another table game upstairs from the lobby that we could use if we wished. We also noticed they have pet friendly rooms. Our TV was small but really...we were at the beach and although our view was somewhat obstructed by the parking lot, it was still a beautiful view of the beach. They recycle! They provide a list of amenities and guidelines in the rooms so that you know what is offered and what to expect if you decide you like the amazing soaps and take them from the room vs purchasing them from the lobby. I made sure to buy some from the lobby :) Overall, for the price this hotel was well worth it. The original key that we received for our room did not appear to work, however when I spoke with staff they stated that I may need to "jiggle it and treat the door roughly sort of like an old door or lock" I think this was the only frustrating aspect of the hotel because when you are carrying a arms full of stuff from kids or clamming, you don't really want to have to mess with the door in this way.
Newly renovated, this hotel is right in the middle of town and just around the corner from the entrance to the beach. March's Free Museum, a fun collection of oddities, antiques and trinkets to buy, is just next door. Breakfast is good, the staff is excellent and wifi is included.
