This is a charming hotel - its design, inside and out, did not disappoint - beautiful and well maintained. Very nice bicycles, made available without charge to guests. Very good valet parking service. Unfortunately, our visit to the hotel coincided with what must have been one of the biggest heat waves in some years in Germany - and the hotel does not have air conditioning, although many openable windows. At ten or fifteen degrees less, our stay would have been idyllic. The other hotel we stayed at in Germany that did not have air conditioning at least had electric fans available, which made a big difference.
Free upgrade to a fantastic room with wonderful sea view and in the evening we had a dinner in the hotel restaurant which was some of the best food I tasted in Germany absolutely superb Considering how wonderful the dinner was breakfast could have been a bit better
Great location, ambience, excellent breakfast and dinner No heat in room, had to move to a different room. Reservations for dining room were not made. Staff was trying to be helpful. No help from management.
The staff was really wonderful, all of them very very friendly. The breakfast was very good and also the Brasserie was a wonderful place to eat. The Wellness area was really good. In short: it was an excellent stay.
The Staff...... where brilliant and 100% helpful at all times........I stayed there 10 years ago and I am convince the service has gotten better I think after coming back, after 10 years it is in desperate need in renovating...it does not classify anymore as 4 stars
Clean, pleasant hotel and centrally located along the sea promenade. The breakfast buffet was generous and tasty. Staff helpful. -view on first floor was mainly a view of trees in front of the hotel. I'd recommend a higher floor. The price was high given the room - small and basic.
near the beach
Very clean hetel well looked after, great staff on reception and in the bar. good location not far from the station.
Nice swimming pool. We stayed in the "Classic" section. Room was big and had a couch. Bathrooms are not so nice.
The whole hotel was excellent. The room was magnificent, the staff absolutely great. The lobby, breakfast room and other facilities are top of the league. Although the hotel is large, it has kept it intimicy and cozyness. Top. Very recommendable indeed. No.
The matress is extremely hard.
Location (easy access to the beach), pool (indoor-outdoor) and breakfast (great selection, hot and cold) The price was quite high. We had 2 children (9 and 13) in our room and we had to pay 65€ per child per night.
Very high standard of hotel and staff. Very tasteful and relaxing. Although large, still personal and intimate. No.
The staff were excellent and accomodating (although our German isn''t great which made things a little difficult at times). Facilities were first rate and there was a very relaxing atmosphere. Great location close to the beach and restaurants. There was no air conditioning in the rooms (or fans). We had to have the window open at night which made the room a little noisy.
The room was very fine: big, clean, with a Balcony. The breakfast was very good, a huge offer. The hotel is very nice and good located near the beach. There is not an air conditioner in the room and in the restaurant too. There is not a fly screen on the windows. The pool is nice, but it is small for this huge hotel.
We were upgraded to a penthouse suite with a view od the Baltic when we arrived, which was superb. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help and the food on the half-board menu in the restaurant was fantastic. All in all we had a wonderful stay there.
Comfortable hotel, great location, very friendly staff, good food.
The suite was spacious and provided enough room for a family of four. The staff was courteous and helpful. The proximity to the beach was terrific. The breakfast buffet had extensive choices of a variety of food and beverages.
This is a beautiful location. The history of the area is well-preserved in the carefully cared for houses, cobblestone streets, bike paths and beach. The hotel is beautiful and well-run. Very nice staff - however, everything is written and spoken only in German, so if you don't speak/read fairly well, this may not be the best place for you. There is a country-club feel to this hotel, and the other guests (or members?) did not like having foreigners here. Despite what guidebooks say, being polite, knowing a few words & phrases and keeping a low profile will not get you by - you really need to speak German.
The location is great. Service, Spa, Pool and Breakfast is very good too. The Hotel rooms ( 4 Star Hotel ??) do not have air condition system. Not acceptable in hot summer months.
Very pleasant, down to earth sort of hotel, friendly staff, quiet, beautful situation, a bit isolated but not too far away from glorious beaches. Good value for money.
I got a much bigger room than I hoped for, more an appartment. That was a pleasant surprise. Everything was bright, clean, and pleasantly decoarated. The Bathroom was fairly big too. The only thing is that the room was very close to the street, so if oyu are nto prepared (I.E. with ear plugs) you might be annoyed by traffic noise. I always use ear plugs so it didn't matter to me
I was surprised to be charged anapparently obligatorr 22 euros at the end of a three day stay for room cleaning. Pirol is a less than mediocre hotel charging high prices. Beware, the hotel is alongside a lake and in summer has a real problem with mosquitos.
