We liked the modern design of the hotel and the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms. We booked early and had a lovely view (but on the other side of the hotel you have a view onto a building firm). Nice looking tv but very few channels and poor quality.
Very nice, modern and quiet Hotel with very friendly staff members. Very good kitchen too! Nice view on the little village Chorges.
very new hotel, centrally located to a few major mountains for ski. captivating views. highly recommend since the hotel is very new, the signs and directions nearby are not very well marked
Location and surroundings. Very nice and welcoming staff. Not something to complain about, but the breakfast is typically french.
New hotel, struggling to get everything in place (only 1 menu in the restaurant, airco not yet working , directions to hotel not up to date).Has potential under professional staff.
Spotlessly clean. Would have liked a choice of meal on a Sunday night
A beautiful new hotel . Designed in a very special way. The scenery out the windows around is spectacular. There were some problems with the instructions to get there. Also, it is located in some industrial area so arrival is not very welcoming, but the hotel is nice ans so is the owner.
The hotel itself is very beautiful, the rooms are very modern and pretty large. The view is superb from the eating room, but the hole hotel is placed at the edge of a business zone (a downer, but if you can forget it or if you have a room facing the open fields, it's no problem) You can see the owners do their maximum, but don't have much time for you. (business zone, see above)
The restaurant, nice room with a classy bath, relaxed and cool atmosphere. Good service, all staff very polite and helpful. No air condition
Staff were very helpful when transport broke down. The evening meals were a delight.
Nice setting in the mountains facing a pond and also close to Lac de Serre-Poncon. Fairly ambitious menu in the dining room and generous breakfast buffet (for 10 Euros per person). Accomodating staff. Large outdoor patio and pool would have been pleasant in good weather, which we didn't have for our one-night stay. Clearly intended to host people for vacation stays of at least several days. Not really. Perfectly acceptable 3-star hotel.
The pretty small lake close by Small room. The swiming pool was a joke. Millions of mosquitoes at night. Absurdly overpriced. We were supposed to have a lake view and it wasn't true.
Fantastic setting, alpine views all around.Easy and difficult walks straight from the hotel front door. Lots of facilities, gym, indoor swimming pool, internet, games etc. During my stay, the place was full of very elderly people, although with the facilities available, I am sure this was to do with the timing of my stay. There was only one choice, plus a vegetarian choice for the evening meal, and it was served rather like in a works canteen, although it was reasonably priced.
The view. It really should be advertised as a hotel for seniors. There was not one person there under 60. The main activity was to play bingo. There appeared to be dance classes but it is beyond me how the people that I saw, who could hardly walk, would participate in a dance class. The hotel staff were aloof and unconcerned to the point of rudeness.
Fantastic views of mountains and ideal base for touring the alps. Would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to our friends.
The pool, sauna and hammam free, the beautifull view of the mountain
good location, good sized rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good facilities for family the kitchen cupboards are all kept locked
good inhouse pool and gym, breakfast buffet, majority of guest part of travel groups age 65+ very small room, bathroom needs renovation, long walking distance from parking to room with very slow elevator, WiFi only in reception area, hotel few kilometers outside the village
Provided a comfortable, peaceful overnight stay while travelling between destinations. We enjoyed the views of the mountains and lake nearby. Buffet dinner was very basic and process not explained on arrival regarding purchasing voucher. Little information was provided on arrival about the hotel's facilities. The majority of the clientel age group was elderly. The distance from the main reception to room excessive especially when carrying luggage.
In a quiet position, yet accesible to the local village, friendly owners and staff, lovely grounds and swimming pool. Nothing
Le vieux tilleul has a simple and relaxed atmosphere. For a fair price you cn have a good dinner. breakfast is cheap and simple. Great view from the terrace to the mountains. When we liked to have a drink in the lobby it was possible at ten o clock but at 10.30 nothing was served anymore.
Very welcoming. Good food. The antithesis of a faceless chain. Initially we had trouble with the hot water in our room, but the hotel was quick to move us to another room and resolve the problem.
Attractive traditional hotel well situated in country setting with very friendly and helpful owners and staff. Typical alpine decor. Good set menu for evening meal. English is spoken.
Very nice setting in this beautiful area of France. Warm welcome, kindness and efficient service from the owners. The room is very clean and comfortable, as for the food, it is excellent. Very good value for money.
A very nice hotel located in an area with wonderful surroundings. Unfortunately the hotel was managed by an unpleasant and unpolite couple that did everything they could do to make you feel not welcome. So what ever you do, don´t event think of booking these hotel.
This is a genuine chateau, incredibly restored by the current owners. The rooms are large, well-appointed, and comfortable. They reflect the historic nature of the chateau, but do not lack in comforts one expects in high-end accomodations. The grounds are lovely and quiet, with stunning views of the valley and surrounding area. The owners (a French/American couple) take a personal interest in making guests feel at home, and take pride in explaining the history of the chateau and its renovation. There is an excellent local restaurant in the nearby town of Crots, and Embrun, perhaps 4 kilometers away, was a delightful french town with character. We are experienced and demanding travellers, and found this a unique and delightful spot.
Very friendly and caring people made the stay a great experience.
admirable and glorious chateau, very cozy, nice owners, good style
Peaceful. No Television. Its History. Fantastic Location. Large Rooms Nothing
