Pros: Gorgeous house, clean and comfortable. Exceptional hosts, Noel and Tony, are warm, friendly and helpful.
Cons: car parking facilities a little awkward
Pros: The owners made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble
Pros: This is a beautiful, beautiful house in a lovely location, the facilities were amazing, so were our hosts; they could not do enough for us and exceeded our all our expectations. I cannot find a single fault.
Cons: Nothing, this was an absolutely fantastic B&B, I liked everything about it.
Pros: Fabulous in every way. Wonderful hosts who made our stay very enjoyable. Would recommend whole heartedly.
Pros: Very friendly and thoroughly welcoming hosts.
Pros: The hosts were wonderful, location beautiful and the room was stunning. Everything was there that could have been hoped for. The breakfast was fantastic.
Pros: Not sure whether we liked the farm house or our hosts more! We didn't have our own transport so Tony was kind enough to pick us up from the train station (and dropped us off too, as well as dropping and picking us to/from the starting point for the 3 Peaks Challenge). The farm house is situated in a very pretty and peaceful hamlet - imagine rolling hills, sheep, totally remote and cut off from busy city life - which suited us just fine. Our stay felt more like a home away from home and Noël and Tony were super welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Both very were happy to answer any questions we had and happy to just generally have a chat with us. Our room was very comfortable with an en suite and the bay window seat overlooking the front garden was ace. Lovely stay - we highly recommend to walkers or anyone looking to get away for some quiet.
Cons: We liked everything! The house has so much history and character and Noël and Tony were such amazing hosts and genuinely nice and friendly people that we couldn't fault our stay at all.
Pros: The building was beautiful, the surroundings were amazing. The bed was so comfy and the breakfast and packed lunch was delicious. Staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Cons: After a 25 mile hike l really wanted a soak in a bath but the shower was very good.
Pros: Fantastic place to stay, we had a very warm welcome off the owners, really nice people. I was doing the Yorkshire three peaks on Saturday and didn’t expect to get breakfast as we had an early start, they got up especially for us to make us breakfast, that really was very kind and considerate of them. I will definitely stay here again in the near future as we go to Yorkshire quite often. Thank very much.
Pros: Perfect hosts. Very enjoyable stay.
Pros: This is a real hidden gem. Fantastic facilities in a beautiful location. The breakfast was absolutely amazing!
Pros: Not a single thing they could possibly do to make it any better. Beautiful house with a view of Pen y Ghent, two lovely people who did everything they could to make us comfy and welcome after a long day on the trails, including offering an evening meal and receiving a package of our next day clothes for us and even driving us back to Gearstones for our next morning start. I've travelled all over the world but I can't think of any better B&B I've stayed in. Thanks for everything!
Cons: Nothing could possibly have been better.
Pros: Lovely apartment style with beautiful gardens. Sitting area downstairs with small fridge. Host was wonderful and made us an evening meal at short notice. Very organized for choices of breakfast and tasty food
Cons: Everything was great
Pros: Very quiet location. Lots of nice touches. Modern decor. Lovely clean bathroom. Very comfortable bed. We had to leave at 5am so the owner left us some sandwiches and snacks for our journey which was good of her.
Cons: I honestly cant think of anything it's a really good place
Pros: Great location and lovely place to stay.
Pros: The location was beautiful, the suite was super clean, well equipped and comfy. Breakfast was gorgeous and the host was great allowing us to check in at a later time.
Pros: Lovely accommodation, very comfortable and smart. Kind and considerate service and wonderful breakfast.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike or fault.
Pros: Lovely and quiet location, you get a little apartment style room to yourself. Living room downstairs and bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Cheryl is lovely and really looked after us. Had breakfast made for us when we wanted. Cannot fault this accommodation at all.
Cons: Nothing.. except we couldn’t stay longer
Pros: Superb spacious accommodation, more like a boutique appartment than a B&B room. Fabulous terrace and comfy furniture to sit out and enjoy the afternoon sun. Modern, funky but functional, and comfy interior to enjoy the evening - even Netflix on the TV. Wonderful breakfast served in the living room. And most of all a genuine and friendly owner who makes the difference between just an overnight stay and a holiday experience.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike in my opinion - the whole experience was top notch.
Pros: Both my wife and i were totally chuffed. The breakfasts were superb, the privacy was much appreciated and we loved the rooms space and style. Cheryl was the perfect host both thoughtful and helpful and the fact that you get your own streamed garden with great little touches such as the binoculars for watching the garden birds was the icing on the cake. It is virtually like having your own little cottage for your stay......brilliant.....no hesitation in recommending Ginger & Wood
Cons: I suppose it could be argued that you cant just walk to the local shop...... but this would be to miss the point of this superb location and surroundings so for us there was nothing we didn't like
Situated on a river bank in the beautiful Ribble Valley, The Crown Hotel is a bed and breakfast located on the route of the Pennine Way. Free parking is available on site, and the property is well-placed for accessing the sights of the Yorkshire Dales. The Crown Hotel is an old-fashioned countryside pub, complete with a log fire. The adjacent rooms are decorated in a modern style, and each room has a TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. A full English breakfast is included in the room rate. For those who need to leave early, and early bird breakfast is also available, and guests can order a packed lunch for an additional charge. The traditional Yorkshire bar is Cask Marque approved and offers a range of fine ales and a varied wine list. The Three Peaks are all located close by, and the property is surrounded by some of the finest walking and mountain biking trails in England. Horton-in-Ribblesdale railway station is a 4-minute walk away.
Pros: Location for 3 peaks walk. No issue with arriving late evening and they had breakfast facilities for our early start. Beds were really comfortable. Friendly staff Car park Everything you needed for your walk.
Cons: Slightly dated but that didn't matter.
Pros: Great location for the Pennine Way
Pros: Location to Penning Way great. Breakfast provisions good.
Cons: Carpet in bathroom.
Pros: Staff very friendly and perfect location for the 3 Peaks walk.
Cons: Our room, although clean, could certainly do with shower facilities and generally updating. The bar closed at 9.45 pm which we thought was a little early, although it was midweek and very quiet.
Pros: Friendly. Good food. Room was clean and comfortable.
Pros: Situated right on Pennine Way
Cons: Shabby, cold room. No WiFi. Guest information folder only tells all the things you can’t do - in Bold, Block CAPITALS. Nothing positive in there.
Pros: Would have prefered a shower as apposed to a bath .
Pros: The location, that was about it.
Cons: Unclean, No shower. Very poor balance for money!
Pros: That’s and Louis were great hosts and made our stay a great time. Evening meal were superb and the breakfasts were awesome. Definitely stay again.
Pros: Location and food.
Cons: No WiFi
