Great bathroom Room rather small
The room was clean. Plates and cups in the restraunt were not clean enough. Breakfast was poor. Telephone in the room didn't work and was not repaired even after several complaints. Staff was not helpful.
The bathroom is wonderful. Nice hotel. The man at reception at 23.00 was only speaking French
Comfortable hotel with good parking.
The willingness of the staff to correct minor problems immediatly We thought the price of the breakfast (12 euros per person) was excessive especially if one did not take advantage of the wide range of breakfast food available. There should have been the possibility of basic continental breakfast at a reduced price
Very nice staff, always ready to help. Restaurant of hotel was very nice with small but excellent menu. And the prices were very reasonable. The internet didn't work 2 our of 3 nights but they removed it from my bill. From january on they'll switch to free internet!
Convenient location en-route to Brittany from channel ports if you need overnight stay.Clean, comfortable and good breakfast. Nice restaurant next door.
Desing of the room is excellent. The breakfast is OK. The staff is hospital. The parking is free. It's very comfortable. And not at all expensive.
great place, great hotel, i'll sure be back none
This hotel is brand new. Staff are very nice. Bed is very comfortable. Room is big. With 40 euro per night, very satisfied. A bit noisy.
Everything was very nice, it exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was limited in choices.
plenty of room to park, somewhere to eat close by.
Clean and comfortable Booking confirmation gave price at Euros 184 but we were charged Euros 196
There was nothing we liked about this hotel, overpriced to say the least. Very basic rooms, no plug in the sink, not very clean, in need of redecoration
Practical for business purposes. Not a very attractive atmosphere (bar, restaurant, neighbourhood). Barkeeper quite unhelpful when asked for a good restaurant in the neighbourhood.
It was warm The dining room was not open for that evening, we had to travel to a super market, buy food and eat in the room........not good.
I believe it had the cleanest bathroom of our five weeks trip to england and france....the room was spotless. the airconditioning....did not understand a system where the front desk controls my space...and decides to stop the airconditioning in the middle of the night...can't open a window because of the very noisy road.
The restaurant was not open on the evening we stayed there which meant we had to travel to find one. Hotel is also in what appears to be an industrial area and is not within walking distance of any other activities/restaurants/bars etc.
friendly helpfull staff, clean and stylish room
Good sized room and bathroom, and very comfortable bed. Good for overnight stay. Situated on the outskirts of the town. Not ideal for undertaking anything in the evening in the way of entertainment
This is a great hotel for an overnight stay just off the freeway. The location is just off the freeway and in a business park/industrial area. There is nothing in the immediate area to see. It only took about 10 min to drive into the center of the city which is beautiful to see.
We arrived at 9.30pm and no food available at all.
the friendly hotel staff, It was really good price for a superior room. However, you will need to drive to acess the place. when we went into the room. though it was a non-smoking room but there was smoke smell and the window was opened when we arrived.
Took a superior room which was very spacious. Good situation for getting straight on to the Rennes ring road. Colours and design....nice choices. We didn't approach it from the peripherique and became very lost trying to find the hotel. The entrance was not signed too well.
The hotel is a bit out of town but perfect if you are driving. It was clean, the rooms were very big & modern by French standards and I would definitely stay here again.
Friendly staff, easy to sit and have a drink either in bar or on terrace.Room reasonable and clean. Restaurant and breakfast good
Location. Comfort of room Good breakfast Unfriendliness of staff
The room for 4 people was great - actually 2 double bedrooms together, not just 4 beds. Sheets and blankets - update to duvets!
Excellent hotel; our 3rd stay, hotel recognised previous customers. Good restaurant, quite room, excellent shower room, large off street car park. Happy to return. Excellent nightstop or longer stay.
Restaurant has a good atmosphere and breakfast is fine. Construction works were going on during our stay
The room was very nice for the price. There was no internet connection in our room as advertised.
Value for money - good food and friendly staff. Modern facilities.
It was a beautiful hotel in a lovely peaceful French town. Absolutely perfect for a rest after a long day travelling with a baby and a 3 year old. We were made to feel really welcome. Lovely children's playground was a bonus! Will stay again for longer next time.
Rooms covered all needs,polite,helpful staff...Breakfast fantastic !!!
Hotel architecture impressive Hotel staff were ineffective in dealing with a major complaint over the booking
Very clean, nice modern hotel, good restaurants near the hotel, good breakfast, helpfull staff, nice environment
We were really pleased with our stay at Oceania. Thanks for making our stay so comfortable and pleasant!
The hotel was fairly new. McDonald's and a Chinese restaurant just across the road. English-speaking front desk staff. Quiet. Ample and free parking. Free 15 minutes of Wifi.
Good value for money if you don't mind being stuck a long way from Rennes centre. Hotel is clean, functional and quiet and the staff is very helpful. Just the location....
Very comfortable, modern and clean hotel. Ideal for stopping off to/from St Malo. Good breakfast included in the price.
Excellent hotel, although about 20 mins from Rennes City Centre. easy to find in the dark with satnav (hotel well lit up). Parking on site next to hotel. Good rooms with escellent shower facilities. Good continental-type breakfast included in the price. The room size was abit small (for a double/twin).
The hotel was sparkling clean and the bed was very comfortable. Also several chain restaurants within walking distance, so no need to get back in the car again after a long journey. Buffet breakfast very good. None
Clean and comfortable, very well equipped, efficient and courteous staff. Within easy walking distance of at least three good basic restuarants. No surprises - the website says it all. We have noticed an increasing tendency in many french hotel/auberge websites to exagerate facilities or gloss over deficiencies, this is certainly not the case in Escale Oceania. Well positioned for transit stop for the ports. Surrounding area of this particular hotel lacks character but was perfect for our purpose as transit for cherbourg. We would certainly look at other hotels in the group for a longer stay in an area of historic or touristic interest
the room was first class & the staff
Pleasant staff. Unsafe stairs. Airless room. Food did not measure up to what was attempted.
The whole experience, the hotel the restaurant was superb. Nothing
We dined in the Restaurant and found the atmosphere very dull.
The staff were very plesant and very good service The pillows in the room were poor quality
Very nice stuff. Willing to speak English (which is not obvious in France). The view is great with the castle next to the hotel and the village is very nice. The breakfast was expensive but poor (especially compare to other hotels). We went to look and decided not to take it. Also, they are charging for little children (our child is 3 years old). The rooms were clean and very big. However, they need renovation. The rate for these rooms is too high. The restaurant of the hotel has a good service but the food is not good and vary expensive.
Only one night's stay. Evening meal was excellent, hotel staff very attentive and very conveniently situated. Room was pleasant to stay in. No, but a rather average breakfast for the cost.
This typically French hotel provides excellent value for money. The restaurant provides an exquisite fine dining experience
Lovely location and convenient for the St Malo ferry. The family room was spacious and the hotel were helpful about an extra bed for a third child. The town delightful and we had a great, cheap meal out.
The staff in the dinning room were excellent, the dinner superb. Your two waiters were very helpful and amusing. the bedroom was adequate, the decor a bit 'tired'. We had to wait rather along time for the waliters to take our dinner order as theywere some what busy.
Comfort of room, and quality of meals in restaurant Difficulty of accessing and leaving the rear car park
The staffs are very warm and helpful. Had a very pleasant stay for the welcome atomosphere. The hotel is not conveniently situated since I didn't have a car. Using public transportation will waste some time.
convenient only if travelling by car. it would have been most useful if the staff would have warned us that a free concert was going on that evening in rennes - finding a parking place in the ciy was a nightmare
staff very very pleasant. good hotel, small and pretty. good position, near rennes continental breakfast not so good
Great host - nice piano, too
Fantastic location for a stop on my way to another destination. Very quite and relaxing with a choice of restaurants in the village. It would also have been a good base to visit Rennes. No
its country siuation with lovely walks by the river and ease of bus travel to Rennes the resturant was not a proper resturant and not suitable for any long stay as it had no choice, 1 entree, 1 main meal, 1 sweet; would recommend with reservations
The staff is very welcoming, the hotel spot is excellent. We felt at home.
The accommodation was clean and tidy and the staff brilliant, Reception directed us to a wonderfull restuarant a short and interesting walk away, The Hotel is a real find and such good value.
Easy to find, reasonable price, good location One of the pillows was very old and quite smelly but all others were fine. A minor issue in an otherwise very pleasant experience
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Very nice staff; lovely dinner: no
A truly fabulous setting and gorgeously restored buildings. The owners are very friendly and helpful and made us feel very at home. The gardens are stunning and the coast is only a short drive away. The chateau has lots of period features and a great breakfast room. As guests you have fairly free roam of the buildings and grounds. Also good for children (our four year old really enjoyed it). Thoroughly recommended.
good location near the river and town centre room was very basic and over priced. We usually paid 15 euro less at other hotels for this level of accomodation. The staff were also not that friendly.
The room and the location of the hotel
Food good. We stayed on 2 separate occasions, one night each time, just over a week apart. Room on second stay (in main hotel) good. Location good for the town of Combourg and touring Brittany. Room on first stay - it was in the Annexe and well below par, in major need of upgrading and refurbishment - I think this applies to room numbers 40 upwards, ours was 43.
Food was good, room was in an annexe and very poor.
great views of castle and lake, plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance, pleasant bar, pleasant helpful staff, garage to store our bikes heating didn't work in our room but they changed us to another room - took some time though
lakeside view showers, no shower head and the grout on the tiles are mouldy
convenience to town price somewhat high for hotel
The view over the lake is brilliant
The restaurant and lovely meal. The scenery and easy location to town.
