Superb location Many stores around i.e. olive young, starbucks, convenience store
You have to pay for toothpaste and razor just because their campaign to save earth, but they sell for 1,000₩ each. Its ridiculous for this price of hotel. Also, they gave us only one shower towel on the first day and third day of stay that we had to call them to give us. Also, they didnt prepare us body wash and we had to call them again.
I was in room 1116, a nice double room with open space concept. Fairly large bed on an elevated floor, rather firm and comfortable. Fluffy and warm blanket (a little too much at times), nice pillows. The room has a long desk where you can work or just leave stuff, and a movable table in front of the bed. Big TV screen (never used, but that's just me), and a sort of long sofa beside the bed. The bathroom is split in three parts: toilet, basin and a very large shower and bathtub area, which I rather liked; the cool thing of the shower area is that aside from being very spacious (and with a rain shower), it features a horizontal mirror beside the shower, but I thought was a good idea in case you shave there or whatever. The staff is rather helpful, good english, and always ready to support you. Location wise, it's super close to the Eonju metro station, hence rather easy to move around from Gangnam. Small gym, but functional: two running mats, two exercise bikes, weight machine. Last but not least, there is a great Harman Kardon bluetooth speaker in the room, which is a great plus for me!
Couple of things to note: there is no way to regulate the temperature in your room. The AC thermostat is there, but does not bear any effect depending on the season: I was visiting in November, hence you can only heat up the room, not cool it down... unfortunately Seoul in those days varied between 16 and 2 degrees Celsius, hence AC would have been great at times, considering how warm the blanket was. I had to resort to opening the window and let the chill air come in the room... together with city noises. Wifi was the worst I found. Basically very little connection in the whole room, and minimal even in the rest of the floor. I had to constantly use roaming, which during a video call uses up a lot of bandwidth. The only place to hang wet towels is inside the shower area above the bathtub; OK, but not practical. The breakfast far fairly poor: you get three options, no variations, and if you want anything more you have to pay for it. For example, you cannot have a glass of orange juice and a coffee, it's either one or the other (or you pay for one of the two). And no refill. I don't think there is any 24h room service for food, but I might be wrong. In the basement floor there is a weird bar, where they do only bottle service. Not a regular lounge where you can just get a drink and relax.
Location, room and staff were all good!
The incredibly pungent air freshener smell in the lobby and room hallway left me wondering WHY? Were they trying to mask something. Whether yes or no it was cheap, too strong and unappreciated. I would not stay at GLAD LIVE again because of it, even though the room and staff were of good quality.
Very clean and close to the train station Eonju line.
Laundry was only dry cleaning style no washing machines.
