Pros: Boutique- like hotel in village / small town. Very friendly and helpful staff - directed us to designated dog exercise area and place to eat in nearby Serpa ( as dining room closed for kitchen improvement). Clean and comfortable room and good continental breakfast. Very good measure of brandy for nightcap ! Happy to welcome our dog despite 6 cats living at the hotel. Good value. Easy to park in square adjacent to hotel.
Cons: Nothing adverse except shower could have been better

Cons: Any complaints. All was fine.

Pros: Great staff and beautiful cats!
Cons: A very nice hotel considering the price. Could use some maintenance and improvements in the bedrooms. The breakfast could be better considering the rural area.

Pros: Perfect little hotel! One of the best stays we have experienced in Portugal. Location in the village is optimal: the best traditional restaurant is next door. Parking is easy. Beautiful house, classical decoration with good taste. The backyard garden with swimming pool was a fresh oasis. The owner lady and workers were taking so good care of us, that we couldn't imagine anything that could have been better!

Pros: They are amazing, they are all friendly and kind. They literally make you feel at home. I have never stayed in a place where I've been treated as a family member and not as a guest. Special thanks to Rita Paixão who was tireless playing and interacting with my kids, she also has provided a unique experience for my children introducing them to the pets of the place. Also I have to thank Mr. Nuno and Mrs. Teresa Paixão who have us a warm welcome, always accessible and ready to help us with all our needs. I really recommend this place. Thank you for this memorable holiday.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was the fact I couldn't stay more and enjoy this beautiful and quiet place. A unica coisa que eu não gostei foi o facto de não poder estar mais alguns dias e desfrutar ao máximo deste maravilhoso e quieto lugar.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was beautiful and yet very close to the town. The grounds and pool area are stunning. The host was very amenable considering we used their fridge and got them to order a takeaway for us.
Cons: The rooms did not have a fridge and we just wanted to stay put and chill being the last day of our holiday. The host kindly kept our wine in her fridge and supplied us with glasses and an ice bucket. The chairs by the pool were a bit broken.

Pros: The sweet dogs, the grill, the sunset views and the owners assistance.

Cons: Samll tv with very few channels
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was such a lovely stay for us. The owners and staff were incredibly helpful and hospitable. We purchased prepared food from the local grocery store and at our back as we watched the sunset. Breakfast was so yummy with homemade tarts and jams, local Serpa cheeses, and juice, coffee, tea. Motorcycle parking was very easy for our 2 bikes - we were able to park under a small roof to protect from the rain. We would definitely stay again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful, we did not have a problem with anything
Cons: We were very happy with our choice to stay here and didn't have any problems
10.0 Excellent

6.8 Good
Pros: LOvely location with views over the planicie. Although at 3 km from centre of Serpa it is a bit too far to walk. I comment says it is only 10 minutes walk which is rediculous! Nice pool, excellent breakfast. Nice to look at the stars, so brilliant in the clear sky.
Cons: No information on the time of breakfats, which was not available until after 9 on one day!
7.0 Good

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: It´s in a farm whithin a 10 minute walk from the centre of Serpa, a lovely little town in the middle of Alentejo. The hosts are very nice and there´s a wonderful swimming pool where you can relax and enjoy the heat and sun. the views are amazing, watching the sunset from the verandah while sipping on a glass of Alentejo wine is exceptional. You can also hear the cicadas and the flocks of sheep from your bedroom window. The closest thing to a bucolic heaven!
Cons: There is nothing worth of mention on the negative side.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the peacefulness and the helpfulness of the staff and everything was clean.
Cons: The only minor complaint, there was no fridge, although we were offered the use of the owners which was extremely nice of them.

Cons: All Good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and location
8.0 Excellent
Cons: House was under partial renovation, affecting the common areas. Although this was not an issue in terms of comfort in the room, it should have been reported as we had the impression to be interfering with the duties of the workers.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: · Entering the first time, I had my doubts. It's quaint and understated. I'm so glad we stayed. The beds were very comfortable and our room looked out into the small courtyard. The 1st of 2 nights (Oct 2019) we were the only guests. EVERYTHING seems to be within a 5-10" walk. There's Molho Bico with is a genuine Alentejo restaurant, a quirky and impressive watch/clock museum, an impressive Castle, a town square, church. The eatery mentioned above looked like a Saturday Night Live skit in that it's a single door and at 1215 we didn't see anyone going in or out. We stepped inside it was packed and quiet chaos. The black pig dish was excellent (best I had). The breakfast at the Casa de Serpa was 2.5 euros (that's correct, I don't know if she made an error) was scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, toast, jam, cereal, tea, milk and coffee (good coffee!). It all was wonderful. Since you are deep into Portugal, I suggest you download (free) Google Translator as we got stuck a couple of times and it enabled us to communicate. We felt we were real travelers. The rooms in the off season were very inexpensive.
Cons: The door locks were very old tech but given the vibe of the neighborhood we felt very save.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast with plenty of choice.
Cons: Bathroom could have been a little bigger, and if they get rid of the bidet that would already help.

Pros: A perfect location to explore the town with available parking nearby. The secret courtyard full of trees and shrubs under the aqueduct is brilliant. Our host Cristina saw to our every need and served up a lovely hearty breakfast with local produce, fresh orange juice and Serpa cheesecakes.
Cons: If we were to be extremely picky......the wifi didn't reach to our room but it simply meant walking 20ft and sitting in the cool courtyard nearer to the main building to pick it up which was no problem at all.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Charming
Cons: Difficult to adjust shower
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location and local folk are exception. A tremendous passerby helped to get us access when laden with luggage, he was nothing to do with the property, just a nice guy. I failed to lock our car and we were parked up the street a local lady seeing a retal car informed our hostess and the folks we met as we strolled around were pleasent nice people. The property bounded by the city wall was delightful with the garden as pleasing as others had commented. The room was a good size and comfortably furnished, the bathroom was also a good size the whole being nicely cleaned. Breakfast was excellant and our hostess made sure that we everything we needed. My wife was a bit unwell when when we came to leave so we were longer that planned getting away, no bother, when you are ready just leave the room key in the door and lock the outer door A great condination of a lovely place to stay, a delightful little town, with good resturants and some of the nicest people you could meet anywhere
Cons: Leaving
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our hostess was lovely, the accommodations historic and quaint, located within the old city walls. An inner courtyard was an added bonus! Breakfast was generous and the breakfast room charming, too.
Cons: The location being part of the ancient walled city meant there was a bit of a damp smell, but this didn't detract from the charm. I'm sure it is less of an issue in summer when everything dries out!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent place to stay. Really well situated just inside the city walls. Beautifully furnished in keeping with style and age of property, whilst maintains comfort. Excellent breakfast, really helpful staff, in fact Christina could not do enough for us. Really enjoyed staying here. We will definitely return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nicest host ever! Great location, spotless cleanliness, amazing breakfast, pitoresque garden... Cristiana, our host, goes away and beyond when meeting clients' expectations. You really feel at home, especially if you bear in mind this is a guest house in a rural small village, not a fancy avantgarde city hotel... Traditional furniture and architecture, as well as an amazing selection of traditional products (for breakfast) are to be expected. Excellent value for money. We've been here a couple of times and will definitely keep coming back.
Cons: The property is definitely not to blame, of course, but during festivals and local holidays the back street can be noisy. This happens because the property is located inside the city walls, where many public events take place. So do ask the host beforehand if these will coincide with your stay. They will be straightforward and tell you exactly what to expect.
