10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and quiet place at the end of the world. Slept for 12 hours! At first arrival curves up to the rocks are scary but you will love it at the end. We enjoyed ! Thanks
5.8 Okay
Pros: loved the location! there are some great hikes in the area if its not too hot and plenty of nuraghe to check out. the beds were comfortable
Cons: No aircon , only fans, which was weird, because there was an aircon in the bathroom, but no remote. we asked the staff and they said that it didnt work. we were able to check other rooms and they also had aircons in the bathroom but with no remote. We also were a bit bummed that there was no real advice or assistance with things to do in the area aka hikes, bike tours etc. The staff were lovely, but they didn't speak English which is why we were unable to really get any help. We also felt that the place was a bit sterile and lacked any character, which you are expecting, judging by the photos. It's not a terrible place to stay as its a fantastic location, but the place we stayed before was a quarter of the price and was twice as good in every way.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location for the first days in Sardinia where you want peace and quiet. Beautiful mountain location and a fantastic steep drive through the rocks to arrive. Dinner was traditional and fresh.
Cons: Had to turn on the hot water in the bathroom on arrival but no real problem.
6.7 Good
Pros: Lost in the countryside has expected, beautiful.
Cons: No Air conditioning in August impossible to sleep even with windows wide open.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing area, with many things to see around (either on foot - breathtaking viewpoints and sites - or with the car). Spacious rooms with balcony, delicious pasta, on site gelato, nice donkeys. Perhaps most importantly: some of the friendliest and most helpful staff we've ever had.
Cons: Suboptimal sound isolation: while this isn't a problem during the night given how quiet the area is, in the evening and morning one hears eventual noisy guests...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An exceptional location with lovely spacious airy rooms and bathroom. The restaurant was very good and the staff terrific. Really enjoyed our couple of nights and only wished it could have been more, lots of walks to choose from ranging from easy to quite strenuous. Also great cycling. The staff made us a lovely packed lunch to take on our walk.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Beautiful place, Paola is a very kind host and there was complete silence despite the apartment is located in the middle of the town. There was no problem with an earlier check-in.
Cons: I missed a fresh, seasonal, healthy breakfast. There were mostly available sweet, packed cakes. It would be nearly a perfect place if it could be changed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I absolutely loved staying at Cuccumiao. It was without a doubt my favorite stay in the whole of Sardinia. The house itself is well located and has its own theme (cuccumiao means owl), which is adorable. I honestly felt very much at ease the moment I arrived. The room itself was a good size, the bed super comfortable, the AC worked perfectly, the breakfast was rich. The hostess Paula was amazing as well. She was helpful with tips and overall a generous and kind person.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our host Paula was delightful and couldn’t have done more to help us...the place was spotless and we got an excellent nights sleep!
Cons: Can’t think of anything!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful host and a lovely renovated house in the centre of Sorgono. Lots of privacy, absolutely beautiful rooms with comfortable beds and spotlessly clean bathrooms. Plentiful and varied breakfast.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were here for three nights. It was an exceptional place to stay in every respect, starting with the warm welcome by our host Paola (and her husband, Gianmauro). Our room, a superior Queen room was charmingly decorated with a delightfully tiled ensuite. Breakfast was a daily surprise always fresh, generous and delicious. It was a real pleasure to return from dinner each evening and settle into one of the comfortable sofas in the lounge area to enjoy a glass of the local Sardegna Mandrolisai wine and admire Gianmauro's renovation work and his masterful craftsmanship. Paola's enthusiasm for Sorgano, her home village and for the surrounding area was infectious and as a result we visited some interesting places every day that we might not otherwise have found. We ate at an excellent Agriturismo restaurant, Su Connnottu, which was less than ten minutes away and when we indicated that we might like to eat there on our last night as well Paola not only found out for us that they would be closed that night but directed us instead to a suitable alternative in Sorgono. And as for the Owls, well, their numbers have to be seen to be believed !
Cons: Not a single thing - Paola has thought of everything !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole facility and room were very comfortable and beautiful. The staff was very friendly. I would like to return here again.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and the room were very clean, a bit of strange art deco 70’s style, but it worked. Breakfast not that great, with only sweets. Staff was very friendly. On our last night, we were taken out in a Defender, deep into the mountains, to a hard to reach nuraghi with great star viewing. This was free of charge. Very nice touch! Unfortunately the bed was not very comfortable.
Cons: The bed could have been better. Maybe change it to a pillow top mattress.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming staff. Gorgeous location.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, great location, good breakfast, big room
Cons: Slight damp in the room/hotel
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is superb in a really old Sardinian village high in the mountains. The hotel is authentic and the birthplace of the most famous Italian contemporary artist Maria Lai. The owners were really friendly and helpful and provided an excellent breakfast. There were 13 of us staying for between 7 and 14 days and we had a fabulous time rock climbing, walking and exploring the art trail. The rooms were spacious and extremely clean, many with stunning views. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike about our stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is very good and there is very good restaurant just next door. We didn't have the best view, but even so it was pretty nice from the 2nd floor. Very good breakfast with fresh fruits, good jams and fresh bread. Very nice and helpful staff. The reception man speaks english!
Cons: I'm not a big fan of old furnitures and room design, but in this hotel it didn't bother me.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, off-street parking, large comfortable room, lots of local information provided, easy to find, recommendation for excellent pizza restaurant .
Cons: Would have liked a second cup of coffee.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful stay in the heart of the Sardinia - I have really appreciated the typical Sardinia dinner in front of the fireplace that was prepared for us! Exceptional wild boar cooked with the Cannonau red wine - Very nice breakfast with ricotta, jams and handmade cakes - staff and owners very nice and available to any our request - highly recommended!!
Cons: Everything ok
5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff were very attentive and charming. The restaurant was used as the main attraction and it was very disappointing to find that it was closed. There was no mention of this when I booked. The girl who was in charge was charming and did her best to make my stay comfortable however she did not have much help with what was available to her.
Cons: See above re restaurant being closed. It was extremely cold in the room and the heater was barely adequate. If the room is for use during the winter, it should be adequately heated. The room was very bare and uninviting. Breakfast was not very inspiring - neither fresh nor interestng. The coffee was good but almost cold when it arrived at the table. When it came to pay, I was told only then that they could only accept cash. I did not have enough on me so had to make a special effort to got to tje bank to get some. The staff were kind enough to help in this respect. It should have been stated at the time of booking to avoid irritation when I was trying to leave.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great Sardinia evening meal and breakfast. Excellent service.
Cons: No WiFi
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The Owner was very friendly und pick us up, because we parked the car for searching the Hotel (not easy to find, because it behind a gate entrance and has no classig Hotel sign (it has a big stone with the Name of Omu Axiu). The Owner's led us to the room (Suite) and the Room was tall/big enough and very clean and very nice (but without view ; view inner courtyard ; earth ground -> but we diden't need the view, because we came late afternoon and would see the museum and city). The city is very charmed and little. The Owners explain all and led us through the museum with a little very good drink. After them we take the dinner (about ca. 35 EUR per Person) with specialities from Sardegna (so ham, cheese..., different pasta, desert....it's enough and with water and very good wine). The service was "fantastico" and with all explain of specialities ! After them we sleep very well (by the way: it's a good idea to turn the clima on before go to bed, so you can turn off in the night). The morning breakfast was also great. We enjojed all this very well ! Thank you very much for all ! :-)
Cons: Hard to find the entry to Hotel reception (you need a GPS and ask the people, but we hat luck because the Owner pick us up very friendly, before we must search a longer time ! Perhaps a foto from entry road would help a little ?
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are comfortable and clean. The most amazing part of Omu Axiu is the absolutely delicious food, the tour around the museum and the beautiful olive tree.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: When we arrived the hotel seemed to be shut. We couldn't contact anybody. Eventually we were just about to leave when a car screeched to a halt and a lady leaped out. "Are you the guests?" she asked via the translation app on her phone. "Yes", we said. "Follow me" she said, and then walked down the street faster than we could cycle. She took us to some rooms somewhere else that seemed to match the pictures on the website. "Do you want an evening meal?" she asked. "Yes please", we said. So we walked back to Omu Axiu and then she ran back and forth to the kitchen bringing us terrifying quantities of wonderful food, so we kept eating it. After a comfortable night's sleep her colleague Monica arrived in the morning. She brought us even more food for breakfast. "And when you get to Cagliari", Monica said, "eat whole fish, not just slices", while waving a whole packet of toast in one hand and a small slice of bread in the other to emphasise her point... So stay here if you visit Orroli. The rooms were comfortable, the food was great, the hostesses were fabulous. And it was all very, very funny. You won't regret it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, genuine atmosphere of old times. Old house well kept. Food also very good. Old stuff exposition rooms worth the visit.
Cons: A little difficult to found, an additional sign on the street would help
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Atmosphere, hospitality, food
Cons: Nothing owner
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Omu Axiu is a great place to stay. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the food (even breakfast) is all made by them - Monica, the hostess, makes unbelievable jam! Our room was comfortable, tastefully decorated and clean (all linen was white). The main building is also a museum and it has an olive tree that's 1000 years old. It was a truly great weekend and staying at Omu Axiu was the icing on the cake.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast with home made yoghort and jams. Lovely garden overlooking the valley to watch the sunset. Excellent area for hiking nearby.
Cons: It wasn't a problem for us but the bathroom would be unsuitable for people with a mobility or disability problem. The bathroom had a few steps inside to the toilet and then another couple of steps down to the shower.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location and views fr the little garden, delicious breakfast and the overall experience and kindness of the owner
Cons: It is a bit difficult to reach, but this guarantees the views
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cutest little place and the nicest host! Amazing breakfast with only homemade ingredients. Absolutely LOVED it!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The property appeared to be a very old well used family home crammed with momentos. The bedrooms were modernised and suitable for us. Breakfast unusual but adequate and pleasantly served.
Cons: Location was poor with very difficult access down a steep narrow lane.. Necessary to park our car overnight outside the property as there was nowhere else nearby.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and communicative landlord. Many thanks for being more than helpful and nice!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Francesco was very friendly and responded quickly to questions. The home is very traditional and shows the family’s history as well as Francesco’s personal style. Personally, I loved the remote location and the opportunity to explore the mountains of Gennargentu National Park.
Cons: It took a little while to get warm water in the shower. Not a problem, though, as Francesco worked on a fix. He explained that water pressure in the mountain villages can be a bit tricky, esp on higher floors.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Around the beautiful nature.
Cons: One of the worst places I've stayed. We were greeted by a drunken, though friendly, host. The rooms are quite clean, but with old furniture and a peculiar smell. Hostess or assistant owner very unfriendly woman.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the stay was perfect. had a nice chat and pizza with the host and some friends of him in the evening arount the chimney. very lovely house with interesting fotos drawings and other stuff on the walls. defenetly recommend to stay here. :-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation is located among the beautiful high mountains,an impressive picture.I liked the interior of the house, with many typical Sardinian elements, cleanliness at a high level. Francesco is a super host, very open and welcoming. A great place to dive into the real Sardinia!
7.9 Good
Pros: The house is very nice and unique, made of old bricks. Looks like many of details where handmade by the owners. The room was very specious and clean. The host is very nice, helpful and he speaks english! There was kind of festival with live music in ~3 minute walk - not sure if it's once for a while or every weekend, but we really enjoyed it. We could use a fridge, however you it's not in shared area, so you have to ask owners to get something from the fridge.
Cons: When I was booking it I didn't check very carefully and was a bit suprised there is no private bathroom and no AC. Actually we didn't have a fan which was listed in the room details, but after I asked for it, the host gave us one which was sufficient to cool us down. Probably most often AC is not a must be, but this day it was more than 40 degrees and we really needed to cool down after hiking in the sun. The breakfast is very decent as basically you have some packed toasts, croissants, cakes, jams and nutella. Nothing really fresh except of coffee, however it's still better than nothing :).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly host. Great mattress. View
Cons: It wasn’t too obvious that there was a “shared bathroom only” when booking, as the info was - for us anyway - a little hidden in the “facilities” section. For 3 rooms / 7 people this can be a bit tight and tricky. Bfast was as basic as it can possibly be. After 9pm the next restaurant is a 25min drive one way.

Pros: The view from the balcony in the room was amazing The staff were really friendly and helpful The food was good and the location in a small village was lovely Also off road parking The room was basic but comfortable- had all we needed for two nights
Cons: Ok for us but a lot of stairs to room if you weren’t too fit or disabled- lovely host helped with bags
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Simple hotel in the mountains. Room was a bit outdated but balcony was superb giving a great view down the valley. The hosts were outstanding, from reception through the dinner to the breakfast. We were the only one eating dinner there and had the restaurant for ourselves. Food and service were excellent. Eating there is absolutely recommended.
Cons: Bathroom would need a renovation.

Pros: Beautiful room - very clean, nicely furnished, lovely characterful wooden roof and great views out over hills. Friendly hosts who we met (only) on arrival Good Wi-fi Decent breakfast
Cons: Village didn’t seem to be at all geared up for tourists - struggled to find a place to eat dinner (in Italy!!) Didn’t see hosts after arrival. Breakfast set out overnight - but thought a bit mean to lock away all the coffee (even cheap instant coffee) during day when may want a coffee on return to room, and failed to replenish tea and milk used at breakfast for next morning Great area for walking when weather good - less to do when weather wet (and roads around fun for drivers but slow to make distance). Careful - when arriving don’t let sat nav direct you to the avenue September, as very narrow (1.9m). Go to maIn round and walk
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Accommodation that exceeded our expectations. Newly renovated building in a quiet mountain village with stunning views of the valley from the terrace. For the hike you can walk directly from the house or drive to the nearby area (e.g. Punta la Marmora). The room was spacious and comfortable, a massage shower in the bathroom. Staff (Beatrice) is really friendly and helpful and provide breakfast based on our wishes. 4 public parking spots next to the building. We have to get back one more time! :)
7.9 Good
Pros: The rooftop terrace is fantastic, big and with a plindid view, could do with som pillows or better chairs, but like everywhere else, it is the standard plastic ones. Our room with the balcony was lovely, big bathroom, nice floor and wooden beams. Location of the place is good, but so would most places be in a small town like Tonara. The breakfast room and other common room is also very nice, but and there are a couple of buts about this nicly decorated place
Cons: no fridge for the guests to use, and we were there while it was 35 degrees in August, there should have been one, there are plenty of room in the house to put one in. No aircon, it was hopelessly, ridiculosly, intolerable hot in our southfacing room at night, the sun had been shining on our room all day. ( Most time of the year this should not be a problem, but for us it was) And finally breakfast was not at its Italian best, hardly any fresh products, and nearly everything in small plastic containers and wrapped in plastic, this got to stop, and that is a problem in many italian B&Bs
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a very beautiful environment, very nice landlady, terrace overlooking the countryside.
Cons: I would just warn the owners of multiwan car do not believe the navigation, the streets in the city are too narrow. I recommend parking in the newer part of town.

Pros: The room and its terrace has a view over the mountains and roof tops - lovely to enjoy the swallows and housemartins and sunset. The owners also run a Pizzeria (great pizzas) and offer wine made from their own grapes which you can buy (provide own bottles). Don't worry about the narrow streets - they found us a place to park. Great breakfast. An excellent stop on a tour up the centre of Sardinia.

Pros: Our hosts were so warm and inviting they made us feel like it was our home. Enough couldn’t be done to make sure that we were comfortable and well fed! The home cooking made from local ingredients was a real treat. Antonio’s wine was amazing. This was a small village experience so different from the hustle and bustle of big city living.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The appartment is cozy and absolutely meet our expectations. The pizzeria where we had breackfast and dinner sometimes was clean, comfortable with delicious pizza. Small coockies for brakfast were amazing! We realy liked this place and the city! Luisa is very helpful and reliable host! Many thanks for her personally!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here as we were visiting the Gennargentu National park, for which it is a perfect location. The room was lovely, seems to recently have been beautifully renovated. There is a balcony overlooking the mountains and 1000s of stars at night. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They made breakfast just for us, it was the best breakfast we have had in Sardinia so far. With fresh croissants and cookies that were still warm :-) I reccomend it in every way!

Pros: Amazing location surrounded by countryside. An ideal location for lovers of nature - a peaceful night's sleep is guaranteed! The surrounding area is full of history which the property's owner, Massimo, very kindly helped us to explore. We would definitely like to return one day. Highly recommended.

Pros: Decore, clensiness and friendliness staff were all above my expectation.
Cons: Soap dispenser , hand free would be better
5.4 Okay
Pros: The bed was lovely. There was tea making facilities and an area you could make your own food if you wanted. The shower was good. There was a television with British channels which was a bonus.
Cons: We stayed for two nights. The bed wasn't made and the rubbish wasn't taken away. On the second morning we were not even offered coffee and the breakfast was poor! The wifi was not working when we got there. We let the staff know the next morning (we were there for two days). We expected it to be fixed that day and it wasn't fixed at all. Not good enough! We had to go to internet cafes to book our next hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful owner and staff who gave us some great tips about the area. Hotel is very nice and comfortable. We were here to taste Sorgono wine (do visit Su Binariiu!) but ended visiting nearby Menhirs ona atip fromt he hotel owner and had an incredibily delicious home cooked dinner at nearby Agriturismo Su Connottu also on Vesta owner's recommendation.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I enjoy so much my stay at Villa Vesta. It is a very charming old house recently refurbished with great taste. Hospitality was outstanding, and I felt like being at old friends'. The room was cosy, with very comfortable bed and big shower. Perfect place to relax in a relaxing and joyful atmosphere. Looking forward to visit Vesta again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host was lovely and set up a delicious breakfast for us. The breakfast area was well equipped and we had access to the fridge and the coffee machine. The property had lots of character.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property was absolutely stunning and really good value for money. Very clean and fresh, beautiful place, lovely garden, and wonderful location in the old part of the town. The responses by the staff regarding any little question was quick and effective, and warm. The breakfast was superb and the staff and owners take great care in decoration of the breakfast table. There was even bits of food from the Italian breakfast table to keep us going throughout the day on trips that we made around this amazing part of the island that is littered with archeological official and unofficial sites, and beautiful villages set in dramatic landscapes at the very centre of the island. If you haven't been here, you haven't been to Sardinia.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extraordinary hospitality. Lovely location in a charming village. Super clean.
Cons: Nothing to complain at all.
10.0 Excellent
