Excellent value for money
Simple family-run town centre hotel. Restaurants nearby. Good value for money. Despite no parking facilities off-street public parking was available within 50 yards. Breakfast rather frugal.
Exceptionally helpful and pleasant staff. We can highly recommend this hotel. In addition, it is a two minute walk from two excellent restaurants, one of which has two Michelin stars. Nothing.
The staff was very kind. We enjoyed the mountains around, the good oportunity to rest in a beautiful place with really nice and kind people.
Beautiful location, pleasant and helpful staff, good food. The interior design is a bit dated almost to the point of being creepy. Very strange design sense indeed.
We enjoy our 2 nights stay in Palacio de Cutre. The rooms are very nice decorated, the staff was friendly and helpfull. It is an elegant place, a real hidden gem. The restaurant was very good, an A+ for the Chef. From this location we visit Canga de Onis, Cudillero and Aquillera Beach.
The hotel is a fantastic example of an old country mansion complete with antiques. Although a very old building all amenities are up to date. The restaurant is excellent and there is really no alternative choice unless driving a fair distance.
The hotel is really nice, surrounded by greenery. The staff is friendly. Excellent breakfast buffet. In a favorable position to reach both beaches and mountains. Ample parking.
Friendly reception staff; good breakfast; fine room -- very new hotel with all expected amenities None really, but because of our late arrival (15 minutes before midnight), the parking lot closest to the reception area was full and we had to unload our luggage and then park the car further away; in the morning, a horse had left its turds behind the vehicle, so it was a bit tricky avoiding getting the tires dirtied! However, the hotel did their best to provide alternate parking, I think; they should not be charging customers 3 Euros to park in their main lot, as the rates are already high enough
The staff were always very friendly and the location of the hotel although slightly out of the town was still within reasonable walking distance. Safety standards in Spain are obviously different to those in England as the external fire escape was not securely fastened to the outside of the building and the fire doors opened out and subsequently blocked an escape route.
not much Room clean but .Poor construction led to a lot of noise from other guests with no sound insulation.. Bar/cafeteria was like a badly decorated village hall. Dining room brightly lit with bare walls -dreadful.Very unwelcoming public rooms. Unsmiling staff.Mismatched chairs at tables .Food was very poor . This is more like a hostel . Very noisy due to poor thin walls and construction ,. Guests were noisy all night and every sound was heard .. Very overpriced and poor value
Amazing location in the middle of the Asturian hills, beautiful building with all modern confort. Would highly recommend this hotel for relaxing a few days away from the city. Breakfast could be improved to match the rest of the services offered.
It is a verry peacefull hotel, rooms are nicly decorated, diner was good, breakfast is a buffet. Great view from the terrace on the mountains and golfcorse. The best hotel we stayed in during our trip. No view from your room and no airconditioning. During the night you don't need a/c but during the day it would be nice.
Excellent value for money, evening meal was 1st class, stunning location and the freindly staff completed our stay. Bedrooms with vaulted ceiling, although looked fantastic the height restriction was a back breaker!
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was very, very quiet with stunning views of the Picos de Europa. It's very difficult to find - they need more signs from the nearest main road.
Great location, beautiful hotel The restaurant was closed (which we were given no warning about) and there are no restaurants in close proximity
Similar to staying with friends. Hotel staff very obliging and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Beautiful peaceful situation buried in the countryside. Perfect for those wanting to get away from it all with some luxury thrown in. We were rather surprised by the amount of outside lighting left on all through the night. Difficult to stop the light coming in at night, a bit light city lighting. Not very echo- and disturbing when trying to sleep. Other than that - a perfect stay. Also it accepts dogs. However in your brief on the hotel it does not specify the cost for dogs, rather it indicates that one might or might not pay. In the event I was charged 25 euros a day, which I thought excessive and queried it. The owner agreed to halve the charge.
location, friendly staff, quality food, clean air, sound of cow bells, availabilty of walks directly from hotel the difficult drive from the main road but that is not the hotel´s fault!
We stayed one night (30 July) on our way across to Galicia, but would have booked additional nights after our experience. The property has been fitted to an excellent standard and the set menu was good value for money. a pity the restaurant appeared to be under utilised by the guests. Breakfast was plentiful. Our bedroom was on the top floor with a sloping and beamed ceiling, so care was needed to avoid banging our heads. Wonderful views can be had from the skylights with the sound of cowbells ringing from the hill farm on the other side of the golf course. No air conditioning, but the skylights were adequate to cool the room. The hotel is in a secluded area so you would need to travel some way if you wanted to eat out. You need to watch out for the signs to find the hotel although the gps proved useful.
The setting was lovely and the hotel was very nice. The food in the restaurant was OK but expensive for the qulity.
The location was convinient for us. Room was cosy, although rather shabby, the sound of the river very relaxing. The young woman who bought us breakfast, was pleasent and helpful. The river side conservatory, was a relaxing place for an evening and breakfast . The night receptionist, kept us waiting ages while he continued a personal phone call, not what you need when you arrive tired and hungry. There was an atmosphere of apathy and general neglect.
Location for mountains and coast. Local park. The hotel was very dated and a poor standard. Set in the main square next to the main road into town which was quite noisy with late night bars and early morning traffic. The web-site description of the hotel did not match our expectations.
The personal attention and helpfulness of the owner
