This hotel had an ok location, one had to walk a bit but it was not too much of a bother and being close to a land mark was good so it was always easy to get directions. Ants, this hotel had ants, my dad's bed had ants in it, there were ants in the bathroom, we changed rooms, no ants in the bed, but ants in the bathroom. An ant problem.
Beautifully decorated Difficult to find at first
Very friendly and helpful staff noise of other guests
The location of the hotel is better than we expected, only 15 min. or 2 metro rides from the old city centre. It was very luxurious, and very spacious ( two extra beds and baby cot could easily fit inside. Our bed was very big and comfortable. The breakfast was really good, hot and cold buffet.Very helpful staff and the parking had lots of spots (but you have too keep buzzing them to open the doors). They only lacked a pool.
The hotel is clean and very comfortable. And the staffs are helpful. The location is not very close to the city center but there are some restaurants and shopping areas around. When I booked the hotel, they told me the price included the breakfast but when I checked in, the staff told me I can eat the breakfast or not, they will adjust the price for the room. That's why we didnt have breakfast, but when we checked out, the other staff told me the price is included the breakfast, even I dont eat it, I have to pay for that. After discussing with him, he argeed to deduct one day breakfast on the price, but we have to eat breakfast on the last day.
We like the front desk personnel, room size & layout, cleanliness (both of room & common areas), location
Hotel was very good for our requirements and only 15 mins walk to centre! Hotel staff were also very hepfull, will definately stay here again!
Centrally placed Check out,,there was a problem with using a cc to pay the bill so had to settle in cash
very handy for bus services to the centre n/a
It was clean quiet and a very good location. Breakfast was good and we had a couple of late night suppers which were fine Either room service was so slow that the tea we ordered went cold or the water had not been boiled. Either way the tea was not worth paying for. Front desk staff did not make us feel very welcome
very helpfull reception staff We booked 2 roos, one ws fine, with chocolates, cakes etc and the bed being turned down but the other room did not receive any of these services
comfortable room-- overall nice hotel A bit far from the center. This is more of a business hotel. If you are sightseeing stay closer to the center, especially if it is hot. However, there is a bus stop out front of the hotel.
Relaxed atmosphere and quiet Way overpriced for the facilities. We also always had meals outside because they were way too expensive too
Beautiful location Restaurant did not offer any vegeterian choices and was very privey
- staff not able to help, the one person at the front was always overwhelmed by phone calls, directing other staff, and dealing with lines of guests in front of him/her. - I've stayed at many hotels in Europe, this one is way over priced for what you get - more in line with a three star hotel
Excellent accomodations & friendly staff; charming courtyards.
central yet tucked away and quiet though with atmosphere no
it was lovely the staff were great from the minute we got there untill we got in the taxi to go home.
It was very charming and quaint - it felt like a residence. The hotel raised their prices considerably during the fiesta and I did not think it was worth the price. Some of the rooms were very small and it was hard to get a taxi to go anywhere. It was also very difficult to find making it hard to walk to and from.
Front desk was helpful whenever we had questions, although the staff changed frequently. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Loved the bathroom, and the common spaces. It was well located for the Cathedral and Real Alcazar. Liked the pool as well. Advice we were given about restaurants was variable: one night the recommendation was not good, and the next night it was very good. Also, the lighting in our bedroom - not the bathroom which had recently been renovated and was excellent - was quite dim, almost too dim to read by. You shouldn't have to go down to the common spaces to get bright enough light to read by.I found this quite annoying. Also, the smoke from those who were smoking in the courtyard wafted up the air shaft, and it was the first thing that hit you when you stepped out of your bedroom.
This hotel has so much character and our room was spacious and lovely, including the bathroom The room definitely needs more lighting, especially task lighting, such as bedside reading lamps. We switched the desk lamp to the bedroom lamp to help with this. We only had 2 windows for natural lighting, so that made the need for interior lighting that much more important
Excellent facilities and helpfull staff. A roof top pool in a city with 40 degrees in August is a wonderfull extra! The number of pool side beds. For a hotel with a capacity of 41 rooms some 6 pool side beds seems not a lot.
Very nice hotel. We enjoyed the beautiful architecture, the patios, the cleanlilness of the place, and the very large bathtub. It can be a bit noisy.
Clean quiet room Balcony from room was a good feature I cannot remember seeing on the website. Good to get out of the room and sit and overlook the city. Near major attractions
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Room was very comfortable and nicely fitted out. We would fully recommend this hotel to anyone. Cooked breakfast was poor
Perfect. Really had a great stay in this hotel. Hotel is really pretty with its simple warm design. I felt welcome since got into it. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. I will definately go back to this hotel once i get back to this city. wifi is not free (6 euros per day).
Great boutique hotel in a fantastic location. Easy working to everything in Seville. Excellent, knowledgable staff, breakfasts were some of the best we had in Europe. Roof top Solarium is also nice to use during the siesta time.
The hotel was very comfortable & i having a bath aswell as a shower in our bathroom was lovely. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though we stayed within a standard room there had obviously been attention to detail. Very Comfy! Excellent location also. Would have liked the Jacuzzi to have been functioning on the roof ideally & would have made use of this.
Nice hotel, interesting design, clean rooms, good location. Small rooms (especially double bed rooms - prefer twin beds)
Style and location
The Position of the hotel was good, the receptionist was professional and admired that she kept her calm when I requested to change room twice. On the webiste it looks much nicer and more modern.
Charming building, centrally located, helpful staff, tastfully decorated Very small standard rooms, no place left to open a suitcase, all in all pretty expensive for the room given to us.
beds were the most comfortable of my entire vacation, nice large w.c. valet parking should be offered since garage is not in the building
location Room had smoke smell. Bed was pushed up against the wall. Light switch on the headboard meant that the light got turned on during sleep when arm accidently hit the switch. Breakfast was of poor quality.
The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect! Walking distance to everything-- Cathedral, Alcazar, Torre del Oro, very close to the Parasol (mushroom) and all the shopping areas. There is a very large multi-level department store just across the plaza that has everything. Restaurants are also everywhere. The only complaints we had was that the room was very hot when we first arrived and that the pillows were very thin.
Location was excellent on Plaza opposite main Corte Ingles department store with good nearby tapas bars and cafes. Easy walking distance to main attractions.. Rooms big and airy. Superb powerful showers. Free wireless internet in room. The listed tv programmes were not all available. No safe in room.
Excellent location near the city centre. Friendly efficient staff, clean and comfortable room. Slightly boring decor but otherwise fine. Only Spanish TV but then why would you stay in and watch TV in Sevilla
Excellent location The beds were very uncomfortable
The hotel was very clean and the room was pleasant. The staff were accomodating because they changed the room for me to the same floor as my friends upon request. Thanks to Jose Angel.
Big, nice bathroom. Pillows, crappy pillows.
Location was good, within easy walking distance of all the attractions and the shopping. Free wifi which worked well The noise from other rooms was very distracting, there is no sound proofing, we could hear the showers and toilets being used in other rooms on our floor. The air conditioning unit was very noisy. For a city centre hotel, one would expect at least one TV channel to be in English. The bar and restaurant area on the fourth were very uninviting.
The location was perfect for siightseeing and being close to cafes and shops. The room was a good size and the reception staff were very helpful. There was a lovely lounge on the 4th floor.but no bar or coffee facilities. When you return from sightseeing, that would have been welcome.
The easy location and the friendliness of the staff The window was a little small so the room felt a bit boxy, but it was otherwise comfortable.
The location Bed not really confortable
i like the rooms and the staff very professional and kind great place for a romantic weekend
beautiful, superbe interiors, a total mauresque experience
The staff was very kind and helpful. The room and the whole building were very cute, the interior ambiance was very good and the location of hotel excellent
The hotel decor is stunning, the staff were lovely, the breakfast was wonderful too. I loved staying there and I would recommend it. Very romantic! The bathroom was stunning but there was a bath with s shower fitting and no curtain so the floor did get very wet and slippery.
The friendliness and helpfulness of staff was well received. The decor of the hotel and its rooms gave a really pleasing atmosphere. None
Fabulous breakfast. Amazing bathroom. A cracked toilet seat!
all of it no
the room was original and furnished very nicely. the staff were extremely pleasant and the whole ambience of the hotel was pleasant and had the real atmosphere of a boutique hotel rather than a chain. Also had a very nice roof terrace though the weather in late October was not the greatest. cant think of anything in particular
I enjoyed design, it was a true palace. The location was also perfect, near the famous church Macarena. Stuff was very friendly and profesional. A little bit noisy in the room when the windows are open.
all very friendly
Good location but access difficult with car. but this is an overall problem with Seville. A constant bad smell permanently in the room. The hotel staff said all the rooms suffered from this because there had not been rain. As hotel was full they couldnt move us.
cleanliness of my room, brand new hotel n/a
The room was fantastic - clean, comfortable bed and great staff. The location was not ideal.
The price. The tranquilidad. It is a large hotel , therefore quite impersonal. But all ok. My room was very dark, but I was there in late autumn. Dark in hot summer temperatures is good, not so good in the cold weather. The location among grey and dirty streets. I know a better hotel quite closeby.
We were in the old part of the city with lots of shops and restaurants surrounding us. The staff was very helpful, quick to provide keen advice on what to do and where to go. very good breakfast, Clean room. Thank you!!
Location, breakfast in a little garden Hard to find if driving
Good value for money, very good breakfast. We had read the rooms were small but were given a room for 3 people and there were 2 of us staying, so the space was good. Bed was a bit hard
The staff was not very friendly or helpful. The walls were very thin and at night it was hard to sleep because of the noise coming from other rooms. The lighting in the rooms was poor. The restaurant had no menu in English. The English of the staff was generally poor.
It's location was great for the city and the Cathedral. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with a choice of cereals, cooked food including sausages and bacon, cold foods of ham and cheese etc and good coffee The air con was set to automatically come on when one entered the room and only blew cold air so we had to remember to switch it off straight away. It was November!
We were in the old part of the city next to Hercules square with lots of shops and retaurants surrounding us. The staff was very helpful, quick to provide keen advice on what to do and where to go. The pillows were rock hard, very uncomfortable. The bathroom was tiny. We were there visiting the city with another couple, the city is so vibrant and fun that we stayed up until 3 am people watching, eating tapas, drinking sangrias and watching the young folks partying it up. By the time we made it back to the room we were so tired that we didn't let the hard pillow bother us. Extended stayers may need to figure something out.
Location in center of city I would have preferred two beds
The entrance hall and the patio are nice and comfortable. Around the hotel there are numerous cafes. Contrary to what was written in Booking.com when I made my booking, this is not a 4-star but a 3-star hotel: 3 stars appear in two places on the forefront and on the letterhead of the hotel. The corridors and rooms would not get more than 2 stars in Central Europe – but criteria/standards may vary from country to country. A double room without even a little table? When you use a glass from the minibar, it is left on the fridge? I took it to the reception the 1st time believing it was a little oversight, but the following day it was just the same: dirty glass left on top of the fridge… And what about a TV screen hanged in a position from where you cannot watch the TV unless you stand at the entrance of the bathroom?
The roof terrace and pool was excellent.
two seperate beds instead of one large bed for a married couple I think it should be notified before
Proximity to centre, air conditioning and swimming pool
good standard at reasonable price room was cold
Breakfast was very good! Bathroom smelt awful!
The excellent staff and service, amazing value for money, great barman, fantastic buffet breakfast, garage parking, good location for the Cathedral
location Room is sucks. Breakfast was terrible (probably worst food in whole Spain). We book few hotels this one was worst. It’s just bad, my recommendation stay away.
Good position and room Food was not too good in the main restaurant and there was quite a bit of noise late in the evening
very helpful, courteous hotel staff bathroom-awkward location of toilet to shower and tub
breakfast good choices noise
The hotel was very close to the train station. The bed was comfortable. The internet was 12 euros per day and it was very, very slow--to the point of not being able to open basic email at times. The closet light wouldn't stay off so we had to tape the switch down with duct tape. The "double bed" was really two twins pushed together.
There were no rooms available with double beds, but only with twin beds.
location like youth hostel in the rooms
Nice bathroom. Room a bit cold.
The location was somewhat good. Close to Santa Cruz. But its still not centrally located by any means. Very much in one corner !! Walking to Santa Cruz is about 15-20 mins. No Free internet. Rooms were old and shabby. I would suggest a different hotel if possible.
It is located at a 10' walk from the centre. There is a lot of noise in the rooms, you can hear anything through the door and the windows. The furniture and the bathroom are old, it does not look like a 4* hotel. The Internet is not free and the price is bigger than at other locations.
I stayed here before at the same time last year. Secure off street parking. Pleasant helpful staff. Offered to change room immediately as room safe had no available key. Quiet, very clean and room cleaned daily with change of towels etc.
Near the centre and Station though off the busy main road, good selection at breakfast. No
Excellent location, and nothing wrong with the hotel itself. It is a bit old fashioned, and it is easy to imagine, that it has been a real 4 star at 70's. Now it seems to be a bit "used", but compared to the price level still very good. Thin walls, some noices from the neighbouring toilet, but not a problem.
The facility and staff is very good, but location is not good.
gym was closed - the only reason we chose the hotel
Staff were friendly and always tried to communicate with me in English. Hotel was easy to find and was right near Plaza de Espana (with view from room). Room was quiet and comfortable. Very pleased.
The hotel does not meet any of the above classifications- you did not have a category match. Location is in a quiet semi commercial street- no restaurants or other facilities near- overall bad. Staff spoke not one word of english and were not interested in answering your questions- except "rat tat tat" in spanish. They would not order a taxi for us- instead we waited & waited outside hotel & finally walked over the road to another street, where some workers helped us. We moved after 1 night to an absolutely delightful hotel Ferdinand III (from memory) in a top location near cathedral. Hotel & facilities were very good. Room had a balcony overlooking lovely narrow streets and an open air restaurant. Staff were very friendly English speaking. See above
The hotel is close to all interesting sights. The stuff is very kind. The room is o.k. The parking (on the site) is expensive.
It was a very friendly quite hotel with plenty of sightseeing near by The bar was only open in the evening from 6pm untill 11pm. Think it needs to be open later.
About a mile from city center. Good value The room was a bit warm adn air con did not seem to work
There is no restaurant or any other type of facilities. Room noise isolation was terrible - I could hear very clearly how people next door were whispering. It's more like a 2 star hotel....
Although I was first sent to a room that was actually occupied (I think the person jumped into the bathroom when I entered!) when I was assigned a second room, it was very clean. I am very picky about that so I was impressed. The room was very clean but the lobby and hallways smelled like exhaust. I was initially sent to a room that was occupied! I thought the "Do not disturb" on the door was a mistake since I had a key for the room...but when I opened it, the bed was open and there was a drink on the table. I think the person had jumped into the bathroom when i opened the door. I ran quickly back to the lobby. No internet!!!!! I had wi-fi in the evening and then when I returned from dinner to book the rest of my travels it was gone. Reception told me to use the public computer in the lobby instead which angered me. At least they do have that as a backup but for the amount I paid for the room they should have wi-fi as advertised. The lobby and hallways were full of exhaust fumes it seems like. I avoided using the AC just because it would move the stinky air into my room. I opened the windows instead. The room service menu is very scanty and what they do have is not good. I ordered a sandwhich, pretty gross but did the job. I set it in the hallways when I was done and within minutes I noticed it was covered in ants. That being said, the room and bathroom was very clean.
Wifi in the whole hotel, sunny, bright, clean, reasonably large room with a great view of the Plaza D'Espagna. Location was a fair walk from the centre of Sevilla.
Location and serenity
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful particularly as my Spanish is very limited The mattresses on the beds in my twin room were a bit hard and took time to get used to.
No, Grubby. Dated. Not pleasant. Staff were nice but I felt short changed. 4 Stars unwarranted. Grubbiness. I felt like I was on teh set of a bad 1970s B movie.
Reception staff extremely helpful and friendly. Clean comfortable bed. Hot water at all times. Our room near a metal stair case which was noisy. Needed to have curtains shut as all windows/doors facing out to walkways. Hotel a little way out. Walking about 30 minutes - do not walk back late at night.
Nice, clean room, real nice courtyard area
Very nice hotel Poor breakfast
Very friendly/helpful staff. The wonderful courtyard to the hotel. The location within the historic quarter.
the garden is very lovely, my room at ground floor, facing the garden the location is very difficult to find
The friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Helpful staff. We did not use the pool but just dipping a hand in showed it was very greasy and also left the hand sticky.
lovely breakfast! patio!! feeling that you were in the country with birds singing in the morning!! so, one was in the city but not totally exposed to noise of the city!! oranges on the trees in patio!! there was too much noise in the foyer at night and early in the morning!! area for entertaining should be away from main reception/foyer area!!
The staff was very helpful, the room was big with a nice bathroom. Very confortable beds, safe available in the room for free. Even if not in the very center of Seville, neighbourhood is very nice, near the Alameda de Hercules.
the hotel was perfect except for the noice made when doors are closed, even when we re careful.... we came for a half marathon race and the geographical position was perfect for our race and for getting everywhere around town by foot the reception was perfect, especially with the very helpful and friendly lauren...and the nice guy at breakfast but i failed to get his name nothing in particular. just the noisy doors.
helpful staff, lovely surroundings, amenities the food in the restauruant was terrible. the charge of 60 euros for New Years' dinner was outrageous given the poor quality of the food
The room Impossible to find or get to by car
Nice room, good breakfast and lovely courtyard. Unusual yet typique.
Excellent staff, laptop in room with wifi.Very clean , great location
The location was perfect for exploring around the city of Seville. The room was very tiny and did not appear to have been properly cleaned - long hairs all over the floor.
Beautifully decorated, clean, cosy and really central - right in the middle of old Seville but not too central that the bars and clubs caused any disturbance. It seemed like all the drains from all the other rooms passed through our room, so the sound of running water was persistant - almost all night.
The staff was like family. The showers were great. The location was perfect. The free laptops for internet were appreciated. The rooftop breakfast was special. Rooms were really small, and ours was not electrically equipped to handle the tv, air-conditioning, lights and fridge at the same time without tripping the circuit breaker.
The breakfast on the roof terrace was a highlight as a result of the wonderful view over Seville in the morning, with barely any noise from the surrounding city. The area around the hotel was wonderfully atmospheric, and the reception area was beautiful. We couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough
We loved the Hotel Amadeus - esp the interesting musical decor. The rooftop terrace for breakfast is a must (or pre dinner drinks); great views of Seville Cathedral and the Santa Cruz area. Very helpful and attentive staff. We had a delightful stay in an amazing city.
The staff was wonderful, access to coffee 24/7 was delightful. Our room was tiny. The other rooms in the hotel were much bigger. I am not sure why we were put in such a small space, particularly since we were booked for 6 days.
The lobby and theme of this hotel was lovely. The lobby was comfortable and the musical instruments was great.
Hotel with lots of character in good location with very polite and helpful staff
The central location, the very helpful staff and the interior with its music theme - so unusual and so friendly. Our room was small but adequate and worth it for the other benefits.
the place and the interior of the hotel my room. there was no window and the worst is that there was a terrible mouldy smell and unfortunately that smell is now on my clothes
Lobby looks great! It is very, very difficult to reach this hotel by car!
Central location & helpfulness of staff
Convenient location, friendly and helpful staff
Location in walking distance for most tourist spots. Only a couple of rooms are usable in respect to the 3 stars.Other rooms in the annex and even in the patio have no or small windows open on a ventilation shaft with horrible claustrophobia filing .Incredible noise from the street every morning ( 6 to 10 am ) due to a horrible noisy collecting device ,it was the worst ever supported in our live .
Beautiful lobby area and enclosed courtyard gave it a very authentic regional feel - the bathroom was fabulous too. The room was a little hot because of the heating in the lobby I think - we had to use the AC to cool it even though the overnight temperature was 5 deg C.
Very central location, friendly and helpful staff. Instructions to get there very good.
The hotel is very well located in the city centre for the shops, bars and resturants and to visit the city's tourist sights. I did not particularly feel that the hotel was good value for money.
Excellant central location for seeing Seville. Rooms on the small size but clean and very comfortable.
The hotel is incredibly central, the hotel was very clean and - other than some confusion with the name the booking was under - very efficient. I didn't like that my room had only a window overlooking the central lobby & therefore I had to use the air conditioning (which I dislike) - it would have been good to know this in advance. It would also have been useful to know in advance that the parking for the hotel is on a pedestrian walkway - this was very confusing!!
clean, excellent a/c, great breakfast. worth the money.
Good location and friendly staff
On day 2 many of the hot breakfast meals were not replaced at 10am when we and many after us came for breakfast.
friendly staff, excellent suggestions finding the place, sorting out the parking
Good Location. Spotless room and bathroom. Room was rather small for size of bed.
very help full staff, comfortable room, clean and well equipped, a little too far from the city, when you have a walking problem.
Helpful reception staff No
Clean & big enough room, good free wi-fi connection, well equipped bathroom (spacious shower cabin, hair-dryer, set of new towels), underground parking lot (good price), no surcharge for extra 4 hours of parking after check-out so we could leave the car at hotel with our belongings and do more city exploring, no business center but staff was helpful and kind to do some printing for us w/o extra charge. Noisy hotel especially from 7:30am when breaksfast is starting. I suggest wearing ear-plugs during night - otherwise you will hear your neighbours snoring or taking shower, etc. However, we learnt to travel with sound-stoppers and we avoid such troubles in any similar places :) Little chance to park in the street, narrow entrance to underground garage, if we came with Nissan X-trail we could have difficulty to enter.
Our daily walking trip to the historic part of the old city (only 15 to 25 minutes) through the old city, visiting coffee bars, a choice of (small) restaurants and many stores. The room was quite small (but comfortable and very clean).
Free WiFi was very nice room We had a room that faced a street that got very noisy in the morning. The air conditioning also did not work in our room.
Close enough to the centre of the town (about 10 minutes), nice view of the cathedral, good breakfast.
The staff were very helpful and the hotel was wee appointed. It is situated in an area with aesy access to transport shops and restraunts. An enjoyable place to stay
It was quiet and inexpensive, relatively clean and not too far from the action. Uninteresting neighbourhood
we had a pleasant stay at the hotel it was very central and could not fault the hotel and facilities staff were very pleasant and helpful also the rooms were very clean
ideal location 15 mins from station and 15 mind from centre ( walking). Accomodation good and very comfortable Could hear TV from another room but did not go on late.Breakfast was expensive but plenty of choice at pavement cafes nearby.
Location, reception staff were helpful Horrendous parking problem, poor service in restaurant and bar so did not use them after the first night. Although location was good the one way system made getting to it a real problem.
decent location; 10 minutes to Santa Cruz
The persons working there were very friendly difficult to find
Staff efficient, professional and friendly. Room very comfortable and clean.Stayed in August (very hot!!). Hotel well air-conditioned and pleasure to stay in. Located comfortably adjacent to city centre and all the tourist sights and facilities.
