Pros: the breakfast was tasty and nicely served. I would have preferred two options. It was quite sweet wit the sweet canned fruit and then the raspberry crepe and then a muffin.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Central location, beautiful room with nice touches. Wine glasses, games, a radio and information on The Edison Inn. We were surprised to find out that Thomas Edison lived there briefly. The bathroom was bright and sparkling clean, stocked with fragrant soaps/shampoos etc, large towels and a blow dryer.

Pros: Bruce! He was so nice and friendly. He had our room ready before noon ( we were still in America side ) He greeted us right when we pulled the car in asked for directions. We got a reserved parking spot as required. He walked us to our room, guided places to eat, and even brought us a cup of ice cream.
Cons: Small fridge, left over ice cream wouldn't fit in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great comfortable stay in the heart of downtown.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect - within walking distance of all Stratford theaters and many restaurants. Room was very comfortable, with the bonus of being associated with history (Thomas Edison lived there!). Host was incredibly helpful and friendly.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a very special place. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels around the world, large and small, and Edison’s tops them all. We stayed in the beautifully decorated Edison Room and loved all the eclectic, yet tasteful, personal touches. Fun artwork. Books and magazines. Comfortable furniture. Lovely little perfect bathroom. And the most comfortable bed.
Cons: Because it’s in an old building, the stairs are steep and narrow. This is not likely a place i’d be able to stay with my elderly parents.

To drink there were fruit juices, plenty of freshly made coffee & a choice of teas. David & Randi are excellent hosts. I would definitely recommend the Woodmont Guest House as a place to stay when visiting Stratford.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners of Magnolia House (Jeanette and George) were the nicest, kindest people ever! We went there as strangers and left with new friends. All three rooms were clean and beautifully decorated, and they look like they were right out of HGTV. They have a beautiful wrap-around porch too. We felt so comfortable staying there. It was close to town, theaters and restaurants. And the breakfasts were out of this world! The stuffed french toast was to die for. After the huge breakfasts, which included coffee, juice, yogurt, fruit, bacon or sausage, plus stuffed french toast on one day and quiche the next day, you don't need to eat again until dinner!
Cons: The weather!

7.1 Good
Pros: The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were crisp, white and clean. Having the electric fireplace in the room made it cozy and welcoming.
Cons: I had asked for an accessible barrier free bathroom and there wasn’t one available. However, they recommended a room that supposedly had a "walk in” shower and a bath tub with grab bars. There was nothing “walk in” about it! There was a full 8 to 10 inch step to get into the shower and the tub was a soaker tub that was too deep for me to use. The hotel provided a raised seat for the toilet on request, which was helpful. The hotel has 144 rooms and only 2 are barrier free. They said that you have to book 6 months in advance to get a barrier free room; this is unacceptable. The vast majority of people booking the hotel were seniors and attending the Stratford theatres. Many, many people in the hotel at the time were using a cane or walker. The need for barrier free bathrooms is far greater than 2 to 144!

This sunny nook named after our host's cousin "Robert Louis Stevenson", is fit for the most prolific writer, and is reminiscent of Edinburgh in the mid 1700s. Relax in the large common room with an apres theatre night-cap and a good game of chess by the fireside, or enjoy a rousing game of foosball on a rainy day. There is also a host of CDs/DVDs, great books, puzzles and board games to pass the time. The Ol' Winnie and Robert Louis Suites are located in the third floor Attic Loft which can be booked as an entire suite - ideal for families, a foursome of friends, or two couples traveling together, OR the suites may be booked independently. Pros: Great location. Wonderful feeling in the hotel. Well worth it. The staff was amazing. Loved the pub too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room we were given in this historic inn was lovely and comfortable with lots of room to place our cases and bags. We dined at the pub that is attached. The meal and the local craft beer were excellent. For the morning, we had only to walk across the street to the top-rated breakfast spot in Stratford. Another really positive fact is that the hand and face soaps in the washrooms were of very good quality and had little or no scent. Increasingly there are more and more people who have sensitivities to scented products and chemicals generally, and it is good to see innkeepers and hoteliers recognizing and acting upon this.
Cons: This is really just a minor quibble. I like to have herbal tea before I retire in the evening so a small electric kettle would have been welcome.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This place is within walking distance to everything. Downtown, the theatres, great restaurants, and the river.
7.5 Good
Cons: Having to navigate stairs. No dining room as advertised. No coffee in the rooms.
