Fantastic location with multiple shopping complexes within walking distance of the hotel. Amazing views of the city, especially at night. Staff were exceptional and super helpful. Gym facilities were great as well. Would also recommend going up to the bar for drinks and views.

I wish they have more staff that understands English

English speaking personnel, wonderful car hire service with personal driver. A very nice spanish steakhouse on site.

Swimming pool is 4 feet deep. The way the elevators are installed makes it difficult to navigate.

The hotel felt modern and up to date with great facilities, the room was very nice and well laid out feeling spacious and fresh, great views too. The location is also very very good, near to subway and short walk from the bund. A nice true 5 star hotel, would definitely recommend

The staff in the roof bar at floor 65 (not t66) were quite unprofessional, serving a dirty glass, not very tentative to customers and not very welcoming. This was a real shame given the amazing views from this bar. The whole bar also felt very cold in temperature! Also the breakfast price was unreasonably high so I would recommend eating out for this with a few options very local.

location is very good. you can see good night view from 44th club lounge.

some lights of our room are not available. without any messages from guest, they don't check in their regular room keeping.

The rooms were very lovely. Also like the Malin + Goetz toiletries.

The swimming pool surroundings is not 5 star. The pool staff were not helpful and rather uninterested in their jobs.

Location is everything and it has almost everything of what you wish for in choosing from a 5 stars hotel..

Need to prepare standby staff/s to handle tenants checking out, especially in the morning, because I'm sure that whoever checking out in the morning, they must be in the hurry...

Waiting time to catch the lift to rooms 40 upwards to long. Only two lifts available to go directly.

The location is very convenient, its right behind Nan Jing Lu. The staffs are very kind, friendly and helpful. The room are very clean, comfortable. Housekeeping is very clean and neat.

At first arriving in the hotel was during the renovation of the main lobby, so we enter from the parking gate. And we have to change the elevator in the lobby to the room elevator. Its quite confusing and not convenient in the beginning. I have a very strong smell sense, the air freshener (perfume) in the elevator is too strong. I don't know whether they are to cover the smell of the fresh paints or anything, but for me it is too strong and makes me a little uncomfortable.

I stayed in the Imperial Suite for one night. I’ve stayed at this hotel before, just in less expensive rooms and really enjoyed my stay and the location so that’s why I returned. Overall I had a great stay and will definitely return. Location is hard to beat, next to People’s Square and the metro as well as right on Nanjing East rd which makes for an entertaining and enjoyable walk to the Bund. The room this time had multiple views of the city in all sorts of directions, from my bathtub I could see the Bund which made for quite a spectacular bath to wind down after my long flight.

The US style outlets in the bathroom weren’t set up properly and I had to charge my toothbrush in the bedroom instead. Literally that’s my only complaint and it’s really not that big of a deal.

The rooms are very tastefully decorated.great location. But they charged me 3 times.once booking.com preauthorized my entire bill when i booked.Even though it was mentioned that they will take out only 20%.Then preauthorized double the amount without informing me.Then when i was checking out they took payment 3rd time.

air condition fan on lowest level still too strong construction works in lobby need to use 2 different elevetors to get to your room... takes lots of time problems with check in, because my name was not correctly in their system... was I the first westerner with 2 given names?

Breakfast is wonderful. Full of varieties. Room space is pretty big.

The hotel is conveniently located at the start of the Nanjing East Pedestrian Street. So convenient to get to the metro, just minutes away. Hotel is well kept. Love the attention paid to the ambience in the lobby and hallways. Hotel staff helpful and tried their best to help from the concierge to housekeeping we had a great stay! A home away from home!

FYI, the main entrance is undergoing renovations. So our taxi driver was initially lost. Might want to put clear signages.

Location worked well for us, but do ask for guidance about where you can get across major thoroughfares- it is not obvious and can lead to unnecessarily long walks

Concierge service is bad no support, i asked for tourists attractions i got no help, i asked for Didi translation or taxi i got bad support. Most staff speaks no english, i called Zero to ask about iron and iron board with no understanding or help then a lady came to take my trousers which i did not want.!!!!!! But i gave it to her.

I loved that hotel very much ! Even the economic rooms were amazing ! Situation is perfect ! I totally recommand that place if you stay in Shanghai !

Le Royal meridian offers, as always, a beautiful service and special facility

we somehow managed to leave our passport in the private taxi that transported us from the airport. however, due to the staff’s amazing work, they were able to track down the driver via security and CCTV footage and get the driver to come back! while all this happened, they looked after our luggage and were about to assist us at the police station! great people!

service and quality of the overall was great. We booked 2 rooms from booking.com but one room was not able to fit 3 people and it didn't mention that one person had to sleep on the couch. So we decided to more one person to stay with another in the next room we booked.

another room out of this trip had a really old furniture and it should be changed. The elevator to excess the rooms are too confusing and took a long time to wait for.
