The bed was comfy and the room had bygone era charm. We loved the porch and grounds. Despite all of the things we didn't like, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I agree with the reviewers who think it needs updating. There were 2 weddings happening on the night we stayed, and the music from each throbbed throughout our room until, which made it difficult to relax. Our room was on the side of the inn where the long walkway to the function rooms was. People's normal talking voices could be heard. Luckily there was no rowdiness.
My girlfriend and I stayed here after a few days on the Appalachian Trail and it is located close to the trail itself making it convenient for hikers. There aren't many options in DWG itself, Wolf Hollow happened to be the most affordable. Girl at the desk was brand new and took a while getting us the room key. Rooms are very dated with old furniture and tiny tv. Early check out time (10 am) also kind of sucks. Price is a little steep for over all experience.
