10.0 Excellent
Pros: We could not have been to a better place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was great. The menu was very extensive and the quality was excellent.
6.8 Good
Pros: The best part was was the staff—extremely friendly and solicitous. Also, the outside of the hotel is the lovely quintessential white clapboard typical of New England hamlets.
Cons: When I arrived, I was told that I had been “upgraded,” which I accepted as true without looking at the original room description, because I was in a rush to get to a meeting. Holy hell. When I came back and took a good look around, I realized that the room needed a serious makeover. The furniture was old and beat-up. The bathroom, which looks like it was updated in 1970, had a plastic shower. Have no idea what people think is attractive or comfortable about the inside of these rooms. The exterior exudes New England charm, but the room was a dump— stained rug, water stains on the dresser where a wet glass had been left. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. I ended up having to spend an extra night in town and I went to the Marriott Courtyard on Rt. 7 which was the Taj Majal by comparison.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The dinner was outstanding. The grounds surrounding the main were beautiful- many of the plants were in full bloom. Spring is a great time of year to visit this property.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was lovely. It's off season so I didn't even see much stuff besides at breakfast. Amy who I guess is the manager was around in all areas pitching in. Breakfast was amazing and HUGE! I have dietary restrictions, and the cook was so accommodating offering to make the pancake special with gluten free flour. It was quiet which is exactly what I needed. And there is a pub / restaurant at the back which was perfect to eat, have a drink and relax in the living room or go up to my room. I was there because my son was doing the Preview Days at Middlebury, but I was looking to disconnect and relax in the off times.
Cons: There was really nothing I didn't like. There was only the small fact that I was a little confused at the lack of staff at first, but then was told that it was low season. If anything, because I arrived late at night and got in with a code (I didn't mind at all), I wish there would have been a bit more info given, like the wifi password and info about the pub. Perhaps someone prepared to greet me in the morning to explain things and answer my silly questions. I was given a phone number to call if I had a problem, so I didn't feel like there wasn't someone there if I had a problem. My simple orientation wasn't something I would call about. It's a small detail, but I expect a bit more personal attention at an inn. It doesn't change my high recommendation and I will surely return. This is just a 'food for thought' detail, if I'm going to be honest about my stay.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was fantastic. Friendly, approachable, there to help. The breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choices, huge portions, well prepared. Wish we could have stayed longer.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice, the complimentary breakfast in bed was a nice touch. It is in a great location.
Cons: The coffee was very weak, and the welcome staff member with whom I chatted didn't seem to know the area very well, which was surprising since downtown Middlebury is pretty small.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff when checking out were particularly accommodating, offering me the chance to leave after lunch and finding shoes I had left behind.
Cons: Cars could park within a couple feet of the room’s door; would be nice if there were a little more buffer between the entrance and the public, or maybe if that parking space was reserved for room occupants.

Pros: A wonderful central location in a charming town. A great breakfast with plenty of options brought to the room. A nice sized room a comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water. Very good WiFi.
Cons: No elevator with a steep staircase. Older visitors should request a bedroom downstairs. The front stairs are uneven marble. Recommend using the back entrance if you have mobility issues.

Cons: Could not get the TV remote to work correctly. It was after 10 pm when we arrived for the night and wanted to check the weather for the next day. When our breakfast arrived in the morning I asked the young man if her could figure the remote out for us. It took him a few minutes, but he was able to. Thank you whatever your name is. The noise on the floor above us was a little disturbing for my husband, but it quieted down after a bit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Right in the center of town, the staff was friendly and helpful. Room clean and beautiful. Coffee and tea always available. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Personal family touch of the inn owners. The rustic beauty of this 230 year old home is amazing as is the surrounding garden and grape vines. Adjacent to the river and a fun 18 hole golf course. The town of Brandon has a 4 star restaurant, the Cafe Provence, which is more characteristic of a town of 50,000 than a town of 3000.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The people were very friendly and helpful. It was quiet and relaxing.
Cons: Would have liked some sort of roll or coffee cake with breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: bed and breakfast with a bonus brewery and winery. Beautiful setting, warm and friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brewery tasting was fabulous! It was like visiting friends in Vermont, even though it was my first visit.
Cons: Dirt driveway can make for dirty shoes, but that is the way it goes in the country.

7.0 Good
Pros: It is a motel. Breakfast was average, location was very good, cleanliness was adequate.
Cons: A bit pricey for a motel but I think there was some kind of fishing tournament going on. Could hear people walking upstairs very early in the morning.

7.0 Good
Pros: Nice Staff. they did their best to make us feel welcome and provide for our needs.
Cons: We there for a Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association State meeting and they told us that if we had booked over the phone, the rate was $80 a night, but since we booked online it was $110 for Friday night and $120 for Saturday night + it cost us $1.50 per night just to use the safe. If we had known this in advance we probably would have just called instead of using the website.

4.3 Okay
Pros: The location was right by Lake George with a great view when you sat on the porch. The hired staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and close to the town of Ticonderoga.
Cons: The owners were unwelcoming and unfriendly. For check in they left a note which was not prominently displayed and made rude comments for having to let us in, it was 9pm. The place is for sale and it is obvious the owners heart is no longer in providing a quality stay for guests. I was thankful that the staff let us know to move our items or they would have to because of a showing. Breakfast was advertised as a "country breakfast" and left much to be desired, one morning we left hungry. There was broken furniture in our bathroom and the place needs renovations.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The view of Lake George was beautiful!!
Cons: Our bathroom was very spacious but separate from our room.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view is unparalleled. The owners are very gracious. The building is charming.
Cons: Our room was the only one without a ceiling fan. Ask for a room with a fan.

4.3 Okay
Pros: Iwner
Cons: Dirty entry and massive dog hair every where
5.5 Okay
Pros: Friendly greeting on arrival. Property is a nice old farmhouse, with nice antique furnishings.
Cons: This property has recently changed hands and the new owners are still trying to get up to speed. It's difficult to find, no signs on main highway or even on the property itself. Breakfast is fine but not as extensive as advertised. There's no heat on upper floor, which would be a problem in spring and fall. It is over-priced for what they offer.
