Pros: Very comfortable, cleanliness was impeccable throughout. Breakfast was fantastic, 2 eggs, sausage, 2 bacon beans, tomato, hash browns and black pudding as well as toast, tea/coffee and orange juice. Also cereals were available

Pros: Very friendly host, with good practical advice. Excellent English breakfast. Good location relative to several interesting sites in coastal and inland Sussex. You must have a car for maximum flexibility. Very convenient accommodation in its small B&B class.

Pros: All was over expectations
7.5 Good
Pros: I liked the friendliness of the owner very obliging, b&b comfortable and bedroom very generous size.
Cons: Due to the time of the year there was an electric fan, which was helpful but maybe a sheet and light cover would of been more beneficial rather than a duvet.

5.4 Okay
Pros: The views beautiful . Rooms windows uncleaned but overall a cleam room and tidy .
Cons: I did not like being accused of unruley ways . Quite shocked by this . I only stayed over night as i had a funeral to attend. I only came into room to actually sleep as we did a little sight seeing. Accusations made this a very unwelcoming stay sadly .

A very tasty and large selection of breakfast in a beautiful dining room with a stunning sea view. Excellent service, Martyn and Jane were very friendly and helpful. Cons: Old gas connections pipe in our room could be a trip hazard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, on site and available 24/7. Very good breakfast including freshly cooked hot food to order, included in price. My son's and my twin room, and my friend's adjacent single room were tastefully furnished and comfortable (both on ground floor). Availability of herbal teabags and extra coffee/tea at any time. Adequate free WiFi.
Cons: The heater for our large room didn't really suffice for damp, chilly seaside weather. TV was small and several standard channels (e.g. BBC2 and BBC4) not available.

Pros: Great location on seafront. Lovely cooked breakfast. Helpful friendly hosts
Cons: Single bed was squashed into a tight corner, felt claustrophobic. Bedding felt cold/damp to the touch

Pros: Food was awesome
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff made the stay very enjoyable.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice location and rooms, close to the sea. Restaurant very good.
Cons: Too hot in the room, even with the window wide open
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We like the simplicity of the design and ambience provided up to a high standard. Good modest breakfast for us, friendly efficient staff, well stocked bar in the room with fresh milk for our tea. Windows could be opened for fresh air, and there was a large fan for hot weather. We enjoyed the interesting menu at dinner with good flavours and wine list.
Cons: I found the bedding uncomfortable for me. The overnight car park was in another street.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff member on duty was charming and efficient and has muscles of steel as she hauled my heavy case up two flights of stairs. Bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom excellent: generous toiletries and a great walk-in shower. Nice little touches such as fresh milk in the minibar and free bottled water.
Cons: Stairs were very steep, not to be attempted after a wild night out perhaps
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent, friendly, accommodating, went above and beyond our expectation especially as it was my husbands birthday. Will definitely be returning to the Ginger Pig. Thank you Marianne, Jess, Billy etc you were all awesome.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, lovely room with everything that was needed.
Cons: The shower didn't have alot of pressure but I think that was more to do with it being 2.00 am
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location, good facilities close by and locals very friendly and helpful
Cons: The shower was a little small with nowhere to store bottles etc. not a problem in general but it may not be suitable for those of a larger build/limited mobility. A shower caddy to hang up would be a great help
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is not a catering establishment, therefore the breakfast (packet cereal and shrink-wrapped croissants waiting in the room), was as much as could be expected, if not exactly thrilling. But it was clean, pleasant and the pub downstairs had a really nice, friendly atmosphere.
9.2 Excellent

Pros: Superb king room, enormous bed, sitting area, lovely bathroom, lovely village, lots of walks and just a few miles to the coast. Perfect stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Carvery meals are served every day, not just on Sunday, and are excellent. As are the breakfasts. We had a large room with a large bed and a separate seating area. Very comfortable. Loads of parking. Bramber is a very pretty little village. Lots of lovely countryside and other pretty villages to explore nearby. Highly recommend!
Cons: Difficult to control the VERY hot water in the shower. Everything else was spot on.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good size room, perfect, and the beds were very comfortable. Shower room was clean clean. Quiet and in a lovely village setting.
Cons: Squeaky bathroom door hing only!
7.0 Good
Pros: An interesting hotel with old and new parts. Very nice welcome and all the staff were excellent. The room had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. It is located in a lovely little village which has a Norman Castle ruin right opposite the Hotel. Plenty of parking on site. For breakfast there was a superb selection of fresh fruit etc., and cooked breakfast buffet style. The Carvery we had on the Friday evening was extensive .
Cons: May be a little awkward for those of limited mobility as a lot of steps and stairs. For example the main Toilets for the Bar, Restaurant and Lounge are located down a flight of stairs. There is a lift in the main building that can take you down there but I would check the situation fully before booking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent and facilities good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast great quick & easy self service and lovely pot of tea. Mini-bar in room was good, always a little expensive but as I was delayed 30 minutes due to my lift I enjoyed it
Cons: free bottle of still water in room
8.0 Excellent

Cons: Can say nothing bad about it!
7.9 Good
Pros: Very good welcome. Lovely people. Clean. Quiet.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit of a farce - wrong dishes delivered etc.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The fried bread was great and crispy but not greasy and you could tell the hash browns were of good quality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, always willing to please.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the proper coffee in the rooms and retro sweets. Dan and team are really helpful and accommodating
7.5 Good
Cons: Information about the stairs. 6 flights of stairs and a flight of steps is a bit much for eighty year olds.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location and breakfast on the 2nd day only, not the first as not all items were available and we were first down for breakfast!
Cons: The rooms were not as described, tiny and the shower cubicle you had to be a size 8 or 30" waist to fit in. The hotel had a lot of wasted space down stairs which were very un inviting to sit in as our room was so small we figured we may have used these areas but not comfy. The parking having to pay every day £7 even if only there an hour. The milk was off in our room the shampoos and shower gel seemed odd at best no lather. Too much more I could say but biggest issue to me being a northerner was value for money. I felt robbed by it when I went on to compare with actual 4 star places we could have had. I do not know how they have a 5 star rating.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good with a choice of options
Cons: The room was just much smaller than I expected and mostly taken up by the bed. Having stayed in Brighton and Hove many times this does seem to be a common feature of staying in this seaside town. The room itself was well furnished and nice touches with tea and coffee etc. Also being at the back of the house it was quiet. It just needed to be a bit bigger to really satisfy our expectations. We did however get the room at a good off season rate so overall the stay did feel value for money.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Value for money. Second day breakfast. Sour milk in the room. Our long lead charger went missing!! They replaced it with a used short lead charger to be fair!! Our friends rooms were extremely small.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendliness Location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Me and my other half stayed here for a weekend break! Everything was great, clean room, Frank welcomed us with a happy smile too! Only issue was the location was a little bit further away then we thought as we spent most of our time in Brighton. Great restaurants close by with Friendly staff!
Cons: Shower was a little too small for myself as struggled to fit in!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Frank was really lovely and helpful and the guest house was excellently situated.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The person running the place whilst we were there was extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were extremely clean and well appointed. The hotel was an easy walk by the beach into Brighton town centre. There was a bath and shower in the bathroom, which I enjoyed as I like to have a hot bath after a long day.
Cons: The mattress on the bed was not the most comfortable that I’ve encountered. We have a king size bed at home which I find preferable to the standard double we had here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kept updated with our booking on arrival greeted made welcome . Can say anymore it was tops all positive from us .
Cons: nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helping with our carproblem
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the personal touches. The manager bought me oat milk and made sure I was catered for every day. The place is immaculate and stylish. The management are super friendly and welcoming.
Cons: N/A
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Leaving. I was lucky to not get an infection thus far from the stay.
Cons: The entrance was poor, smelt like mould and the reception area was just two large damaged leather sofas in a front room and the receptionist was sat behind an old desk in the dark in his slippers. He was friendly though. The room was barely clean, old mascara on the pillow and the chairs had stains all over them. The view was of a horrible street with a lot of the driveways covered in rubbish bags. Bed was uncomfortable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean room and friendly staff.
Cons: No.

Pros: Absolutely everything can not wait to go back. Fabulous!!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I was walking the South Downs Way and the location being right on the path is brilliant. The staff were friendly, the bunk bed was clean and warm, the showers were good, and so was the breakfast.
Cons: The place just needs a bit of updating I think.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The beds were very comfortable and the room very spacious. We also really liked the living area and the use of the kitchen and the lovely garden. I can't believe the price for what you get. It's so reasonable. thank you
Cons: I would always prefer to have a loo off the room or very close, but I realise for the price that's asking too much.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Being able to order food once I got cleaned up and being able to wash it down and relax with a beer.
Cons: Other residents letting the fire doors self close and slam when trying to get to sleep, maybe a sign could be pinned to each side of doors to ask help doors shut quietly and just ask guests to do this when checking in.
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff were super helpful and friendly Beds had proper duvets and pillows - much more comfortable than other YHAs Blackout curtains in the dorm were appreciated Nice to have a water bottle filling station by the front door
Cons: No lockers available nor any padlocks available at reception. All doors unlocked all day/night whilst I was there so didn’t feel I could leave stuff safely. Women’s bathrooms and loos felt tired and dated, but did seem well-cleaned.
7.5 Good
Pros: Fairly basic Youth Hostel. Good VfM
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect for South Downs Way. Very good value for money. Efficient staff. Warm.
Cons: A little bit in need of update but I understand that is about to happen. Only one socket in a twin room and walkers rely on getting their phones charged.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly . Great location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean, friendly and in a good location. The kitchen facilities were really good and the beds really comfy. The shower facilities were superb and warm right away.

7.9 Good
Pros: Clean and tidy. Bathroom and towels excellent
Cons: Tired and outdated furniture. No meal service as a function was booked for the evening.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist are all lovely especially, I think her name might be Christine. Really friendly and very helpful. The place is lovely and clean. Breakfast very good Towels are fluffy and huge
Cons: There is a green right outside the front door where the October Fest has there tents. I was trying to sleep in the daytime after working night shifts at the hospital but didn’t get much sleep due to the noise! Not the hotels fault though
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is easy to find, very close to the waterfront and the pier with a number of different restaurants in easy walking distance, from cafes to fine dining, seafood is super in Worthing. Room had comfy bed, windows that opened, tea & coffee with free biscuits, heated towel rail, and enough towels! Cleaner was very pleasant Although guests can park free on Steyne Gdns, this is generally full, but the hotel has a discount at the local multistorey. Take a receipt from the hotel to the car park office when you go home.
Cons: No lift. Our room was a bit smaller than picture implied and there was a BIG step up to the bathroom (fixed showerhead) - if you have mobility issues avoid room 45. One or two dusty bits high up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: The minuscule bathroom in room 41
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good, as was the restaurant for dinner. Location very good, just off the promenade.
Cons: Our window looked out towards the back of the hotel, not a good view. The venetian blind was dirty because of work being done on a house at the back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and simple check in/out. Room was lovely, great size with everything we needed all right by the beach and town center
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I liked the staff, everyone was very welcoming and friendly. My room was ready even though I arrived early so I could check in straight away. Breakfast was great, plentiful, tasty, with attentive service and in a very nice restaurant. The room and rest of the hotel was very clean and tastefully decorated.
Cons: The room was very small. The bathroom was very old fashioned and had only overhead shower, it would help if it also had a hand held shower head. There were hooks which were not screwed on to the wall and some nails were missing.
7.9 Good
Pros: Friendly and efficient staff. Very good continental breakfast and hotel clean throughout.
Cons: Didn't receive the 6:00am walk up call that I booked. Carpets on corridors looked tired and air conditioning / extraction unit immediately outside room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent and quiet
Cons: Bathroom a little small but this is because it’s an older property
8.8 Excellent

Pros: When visiting Brighton I generally stay at this hotel. Sensibly priced, friendly staff and nice clean rooms. The room I was allotted had obviously been refreshed and had a new shower room. Very nice.
Cons: Nothing to dislike about the place. Everything suits me, which is why I'm a repeat visitor.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful! The room was lovely and cozy.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay started in a relatively quiet way but what made it fantastic was the blonde lady at the reception: super kind and helpful, she made us super happy with simply the BEST EVER BREAKFAST we had in a hotel in the UK: proper delicious Italian croissants with real Nutella - something never heard of in any other hotel we visited so far.

Pros: Location
Cons: Beakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, 1 minute from the promenade and beach and 30 mins meander to central Brighton and the main pier. Hotel is a lovely traditional building, well maintained, the hosts were very welcoming and friendly and had lots of local knowledge, the room was very comfortable with good views, it was a very happy stay and I would absolutely stay there again when I next visit Brighton. Also, Brighton itself is just beautiful, it only took a few minutes of being back there to reaffirm that this is my favourite British seaside resort by far!
Cons: Parking is slightly expensive and you're limited to 2 hours in the square. I arrived at 6pm which got me the 2 hours required up until 8pm when restrictions end, and I then had to move my car to the main promenade at 9am, which is unlimited, but obviously have to pay accordingly. There were loads of spaces on the promenade however and in total parking only cost me around £7-8 for my overnight stay - so this is more for information and not a complaint, I didn't mind paying that, just make sure you acquire lots of change before you arrive, easier than using the pay by text service!

5.4 Okay
Pros: View overlooking the beach was lovely but we had to pay extra for it.
Cons: Very pricey for the quality of the room and hotel in general.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Dining room staff were really friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room we were allocated had a terrible chemical smell. There were patches of brown liquid on the floor. My husband got wheezy and I felt sick. When I rang reception they changed us immediately. We were delighted with our new room as it had a sea view. However, I feel guests should not have been given the room with that nasty smell.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel right on the seafront. Small free car park, very rare for Brighton & Hove, or on-road parking for £1 ph days and free overnight. Bus stop right outside for going into Brighton, or can walk along the promenade. Hotel is in Hove, with lots of shops and restaurants very close by, short walk to Tesco superstore, and George Street full of shops with high street names too, if don’t want the hustle and bustle of Brighton. Smart and very big family room with beautiful sea view. Cross the road right onto the lawns and sea ( no sand in case you’re not aware! ) Had booked breakfast which was a good choice and great quality produce. Attentive and friendly staff. Grew up very close to the hotel for 20 years so perfect for visiting relatives, but was my first stay here and will definitely return. Can’t believe I’ve not been, it’s so much nicer than the Brighton budget chains I’d usually book and even better value. Photo is the view from our second floor room.
Cons: One of the single beds was a bit uncomfortable my daughter said, a few slats needed replacing. Divan base would be better. Nothing major, still loved our room, lovely stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed here many times before. We like everything about the hotel e.g. location, food, comfort of beds. good staff. Breakfast is generous and tasty.
Cons: nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: Location is great. Right in beachfront. Shame we didn't get a sea view room.
Cons: Parking. None available, although we know its first come first serve. Also getting into the car park is so narrow, I can see allot of people having difficulty or at least scratching their cars.

Cons: Not enough parking.

Pros: Clean, comfortable
Cons: Shower cubicle needed a slip mat also water very slow to drain away
7.9 Good
Pros: Good experience but there were one big issue.
Cons: This was my first bad experience out of around 9 positive experiences. There was a high level of Spiders in my room. Normally I'm not really bothered but there were way, way more then even I would have liked. If someone who stays here have any type of Phobia, this would be a massive issue. They were everywhere. I highly recommend staff having a look into where they are coming from.

Pros: Really lovely great value for money little place. Clean and comfortable and peaceful.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Hard to find in the dark
5.5 Okay
Pros: Room was nice, very clean had tea making facilities looked newly refurbished
Cons: The room was just off a car park on the A 27 very small, just a door entry system to get access too the room, at £149 per night very expensive,!!!!! i know there was the Good wood festival that weekend which may have pushed the price up but i would say max price £75.
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was AMAZING! Definitely worth adding to your booking. Room was a good size. Shower was great (bathroom on the whole was pretty good). Room had all the extra little things to make your stay comfortable (iron/ironing board, hairdryer, great tea tray (with cafetière and coffee grounds), decent toiletries. Plenty of free parking. Large desk with 2 chairs. Bed was a good size. Don’t let the road fool you as it’s super quiet.
Cons: The curb appeal is shocking - the outside doesn’t do what’s inside justice. Although the bed was comfy enough it could do with a mattress topper as you can feel the joins of the mattresses in the middle of the bed. TV reception wasn’t great (but that could have been due to the weather).

4.6 Okay
Pros: Nice location - could be superb if an investment was made in refurbishment
Cons: Dirty, tired room - filthy carpet, cracks and peeling paint, missing/dirty grouting in room. Shower flipped between very hot and cold. Disappointing choice in bar - four real ale pumps, only one gas assisted ‘real’ ale on offer Breakfast read well on the menu, but the execution was not up to scratch - strange ‘scrambled egg’ (perhaps powdered or liquid?). Mushrooms tasted as though out of a tin. Bulk brew coffee (tasted like it) was strangely served in a cafetière No-one asked how stay was when checking out so did not offer my comments, otherwise I would have. I have been in the industry for 35 years and believe I am always fair in praise or constructive criticism
8.3 Excellent
