Very helpful person on reception. A warm welcome given. No concerns - more parking would be good!
Staff were friendly and helpful. For a Premier Inn, Cumbernauld is very "tired". It need a complete makeover to bring it up to Premier Inn standards. It lets the company down.
Staff were very helpful, rooms comfortable and food in restaurant was good
Comfy bed, good number of grab handles in bathroom. Sliding door to bathroom excellent. Bathroom - needs a walk in shower to be really classed as disabled access. Comfy chair needed too - only a dining chair provided. Automatic door closer too strong for the disabled / elderly to manage if on their own.
Breakfast good staff very helpful when we arrived late for it Room very small booked a room for 2 adults 2 children they had rto add a bed a( the last minute the hotel advertises rooms at £29 1was charged £75 for an extremely small basic room
The hotel was spotless!! I have rated the hotel staff as poor. This was because of the reception staff. I wish this person had the same welcoming manner as everyone else within the hotel. Reception staff give the first and last impression - sadly this was to a different standard.
excellent menu with a what wide range of interesting choices and reasonably priced. Very pleasant family hotel in an interesting old building.
Food was very good Room was small, bed uncomfortable, shower worked when it felt like it.
convenient and friendly. the restaurant food in the evening was very poor - the roast chicken had not been roasted but broiled (and tasted horrid) and the vegetarian meal was more like a coarse cuppa soup with very little taste. Breakfast was ok.
Staff very polite and helpful, Rooms clean and to a high standard.
The hotel looks very nice since it's been redecorated - a big improvement. My room was clean and modern and the bed very comfortable.
The ambiance of the resterant No everything was fine
Breakfast / location for my needs / car parking Dinner - menu very poor and expensive and lacked quality. Due to poor selection on the menu meant that I had to dine out the second night of my stay.
We found the staff to be very warm, friendly and helpful.
Comfortable and near to athletic stadium Food could be better, eg kippers were over microwaved not grilled, did me at the time
Freindly staff, good meals, very clean & comfortable rooms No
Good size room and good food No bad points
the rooms were very nice & the staff were friendly
Clean and tidy. With very helpful staff.Very good breakfast. Will be staying here again.
Excellent room. Great food in the restaurant and at breakfast. Great hotel for a stop over. One of the best hotels stayed in this year.Great atmosphere
Comfortable nicely decorated rooms. Convenient for my meetings in Falkirk. Food was overpriced and not very good
The staff were genuinely very friendly and the food in the bar was above average & reasonably priced. Our dogs were made most welcome. There was no bath only a shower and had booked executive double room but was given twin on arrival and was told most rooms are twin but the room was really big, clean & comfortable so we did not ask if there was a double available with bath.
Excellent chef . Can't possibly do dinner at £10. Feeling that Tommy Sheridan might appear at any time
I liked the fact that it was close ot the centre of Falkirk
The breakfast that was included was very good. It included hot and cold dishes and drinks. The hotel was quite noisy. There was a wedding on while we were there, and as there is no fan ventilation in the room, we kept the windows open for fresh air. The wedding guests and their celebrations kept us awake until the early hours of the morning...not what you want after a day of driving and a full agenda the next day. Interior noise was also a concern.
Proximity to Callendar House and park; friendly staff; excellent breakfast; free parking; free Wifi Rooms a bit old and tired, but still comfortable
My room was modern, with good amenities and seemed recently refurbished The bar and reception area's are tired and in need of refurbuisment - they did not do justice to the room standerd's
Good value 3 course meal at the restaurant nothing
Staff were always pleasant & helpful. Generous breakfast. Weekend party in function room below room until midnight with disco!
It was well placed for the centre of Falkirk and easily accessible to the roads network for travelling elsewhere. No, it was fine.
Staff were great
Excellent staff, food and location. Rooms spotless and fresh. Nothing was too much trouble.
No complaints at all None
All staff cheerful, helpful and informative including the attched Beefeater restaurant. Having this as a walk-through facility makes a big difference as it gives the complete hotel "feel". Would like radio available via the TV.
Staff helpful clean room nice brakfaast Need more tea coffe sugar and milk in rooms perhaps free veiw on T.v
Good access from Edinburgh Resturant is limited to big portions and pub stile food being a Harvester
Excellent staff, very helpful and friendly Curtain rail in room broken, offered money back, but did not accept, as only small problem caused by other customer not hotel.
The staff was excellent, especially Rita, Louise and Tony. Very accommodating to guests' needs. Also Lesley in the next-door restaurant. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. The food at all our meals was very good.
cleanliness & comfort was super
Reception Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant The Beefeater Restaurant lets the Premier Inn down, the evening meals my sister and I had were dreadful with mine being returned. The Inn did refund all meals. Breakfast was marginally better but I do not understand how scrambled eggs can be floating in water
Cost effective for overnight business trip Slight traffic noise. Would have preferred more teabags in room ( green tea ).
Hotel room was clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful Breakfast (included in the booking) was not particularly good. Hot food was unappetising and the restaurant ran out of 'continental' breakfast items. There was not fresh fruit and why serve muffins and even croiossants in the 'Land o' Cakes'? Why were there no morning rolls or scones? Local pastries and breads should be offered together with traditional delicacies otherwise one could be anywhere!
We attended a wedding in the hotel and we were allocated a lovely room with an enormous bed. it was great.
Staff welcome very good. frienliness generally was good Noisy guests in corridor - happy chatter, but ladies can be noisy(post wedding ?). Otherwise - no problems.
The rooms were nice and bed very roomy, which we like as we have a superkingsize at home! We were a bit disappointed with breakfast, service could have been better!
we were annoyed by the fact that the spa was closed for refurbishment and nobody bothered to tell us about this, part of the price we paid was for the spa and that was the main reason we booked this hotel. the staff seemed unconcerned and told us tha facilities had closed sooner than expected. am sure they would of still had time to make phone calls to customers advising them of the situation. i would never go back. it totally spoiled our evening
The pool and steam room Service at breakfast, need more staff to serve at tables and fill up the buffet
this hotel was terrific very helpful reception staff great staff in leisure & fitness centre brilliant hotel very relaxing ******highly recommended*****
Quiet and good breakfast Room service very expensive
Helpful service e.g. checking in early and putting my baggage in the room. Also helping us to the car with wedding presents on the Sunday. No.
the room was very comfortable the choice and quality of food was excellent
Staying in a castle Rooms were poorly decorated and sparse. Not what you would expect from a castle. Additionally the food was very bland and highly overpriced for the descriptions. Not what I expected from a 4star resort and spa.
We had booked in for one night only Didnt arrive until very late at night, staff were very pleasant and welcoming.Deductions were made because we were unable to make dinner reservation, this was very much appreciated and also part of the reason we booked up straight away for february 2011.We enjoyed the short time in the hotel wished we could,ve stayed longer. We had stayed in Raddison Blue in Dublin in september and the difference in the staff and courtesy was chalk and cheese. only that we had such a short time there
Lovely atmosphere, good meals and attention from staff excellent Our bedroom could do with a paint and the upholstery being replaced
The peace and quiet
food good castle rooms old fashioned and depressing, however asked for change to main hotel rooms
Spacious comfortable room looking out onto lovely trees and countryside.
Food; Accomodation: Grounds. Would have prefered slightly smaller room, with slightly larger en-suite.
the staff were particularly helpful during my stay however the food was by far the highlight my compliments to all involved it was the perfect choice of location for the wedding
The food was excellent and the service was very good. I felt misled as I expected to be staying in the hotel, rather than a modern complex near the castle. The view from our room was of dead weeds, which was frankly quite depressing and not what I expect from a 4-star hotel.
We enjoyed time to chill out without the kids. It was very romantic and the food was fabulous. The restaurant.
The proximity to The New Lanark Mill museum. Was very quiet. Very friendly staff. Free WiFi in the public area. The too warm duvets and the "standard"size double beds, somewhat smaller than we are used to.
We had the most fantastic stay. Everything was perfect, including the weather. The countryside was breathtaking. Food and service couldn't be bettered. We liked it all.
fHotel and all surrounding buildings, river and countryside are surperb, hard to beat. The hotel and staff are excellant and when no weddings, seminars etc. a very peaceful place to stay. the breakfast bar is lacking in fresh cheeses and hams, etc. It looks makeshift and lets the kitchen down.
Ease of parking, good rooms and breakfast was excellent Winter months the hotel is a little quiet qnd lacks atmosphere
staff very friendly and helpful. we stayed in the water lodge only downfall was bedrooms were downstairs toilet upstairs which made it a little inconvenient during the night. overall it was great.
Welcoming and caring staff good sized room and warm or ventilated as needed Rather poor area for dining although weather poor the place was cold and unfriendly but compensated by good food and staff
Locality to work - purpose of stay Noise during night from guests above / part time reception / poor shower facilities
Relaxed and friendly atmosphere Tea and coffee was available but the previous guest stole the kettle
Price and location for Livingston Designer Outlet Booked 2 rooms 1 double where main light flashed on and off so we had to change rooms and 1 twin which was very small and basic
Free Wi Fi.Pub/restaurant on site.Shop Cash machine and takeaways nearby Electric shower.Portable tv
staff was friendly,, breakfast was good
The hotel had good pub very good chinese rest' on site plus free parking Could be noisy at weekends so would suggest to book backroom if weekend visit. Had to email you as booked at £78 they charged £116 but you dealt with it very quickly and sorted the problem, will try in future to book with you again.
Rooms were reasonable. The location convienient for local industrial estate i was working at. Aged TV with limited signal - useless.
Shower unit was clean and adequate. Very noisey and not as clean as we would like.
Close to pub and chinese restaurant Hotel loud and not very clean. rooms need some renowation
Good clean room with all the critical things working properly. A few blown light bulbs, tv remote didn't work very well & a very anoying shelf just above your head in the bed which I banged my head on a couple of times.
Good gym facilities and staff Room service main meal was lovely but cheese and biscuits were very poor value for money - celery and grapes looked like they'd been kicking around a few days!
Spa and atmospher
Easy accees from motorway networks and parking.Clean tidy Some roads noise from traffic.expensive drinks and food in hotel
quick and effortless time it took to check in being told about the amenities at the hotel the location of the hotel was ideal for us to travel around Scotland for the four days that we stayed breakfast time the meals and beverages could have been hotter
Convienient location and good staff Whilst the food in the restaurant was ok some elements of the meal was luke warm with a similar experience at the breakfast buffet.
The bed sheets were disgusting! i ended up actually going and staying with a friend and not at the hotel
the rooms and service the breakfast was diabolical and very disappointing - the swimming pool was too busy
Staff all polite and helpful. Although the hotel was not in a great location the surrounding business park was very well maintained and picturesque The bar and lounge areas were very poorly lit and felt quite cold in the evening. Also could probably do with refurbishing rooms and leisure facilities although they were clean.
Being at the same Hotel as the Wedding we were going to, breakfast, pool & suna Comfort of the beds not very good.
Staff very friendly and helpful Room very dated - bathroom from the seventies
Close to shopping centres Staff were unhelpful at breakfast no manners or greeting
The beds were very comfortable and the staff on reception were friendly and efficient. The decor was clearly past its best, the bathroom had mould in some parts and was also a very old dark gren (tres 60s). Whilst at breakfast we noted cutlery on the floor, which drew our attention to dirty skirting boards and dusty floorboards, cloths used to wipe tables were left lying on a table by the kitchen and staff who wore a unform which was too small for them.
Staff were friendly, polite and efficient, looking after the needs of large tour groups while ensuring that individuals and family groups needs were seen to. Location of hotel was ideal for combining touring of city and countryside as well as shopping.
Ease of Access
Helpful staff and convenient location for my needs. Reasonable value for money and food very good. No problems
I am writing to the Hotel Manager to voice my complaint. Firstly, the beds were extremely uncomfortable - the springs had gone in both the room booked and the subsequent 'executive' room I was moved to. The carton of milk was passed it's sell by date and rendered the cup of tea undrinkable. The paper I ordered for Sunday morning failed to arrive before I left after breakfast. There was an air of disinterest on the part of the staff and I would never wish to stay at this Ramada hotel again.
The breakfast buffet. Excessive noise from other rooms.
The staff were very helpful and polite. room service was very good however the sink leaked, the bathroom wasnt the cleanest, the net curtains came off their hooks and the duvet was poor. the pool and "gym" area need a serious re-think / re-furb. see above.
The staff were very good and very helpfull. From greeting right through to goodbye, a staff member could be found to anyser any questions. Problems with the wireless on the first night, but sorted by the second.
Excellent Hotel, very convenient for the motorway network around Glasgow No problems
Very attentive staff and the food was excellent.
Entrance hall and Check in Flat screen tv Warm water in shower and comfortable bed Position near lake which was ideal for a walk Room a bit dark and dowdy Fair ground machinery a bit noisy but this did not go on too late
Clean, Well Run, Good Food None
Great location, friendly staff Nothing
There was nothing bad to report about this hotel, we were extremely satisfied with everything None
Staff really helpful and welcoming. They had no record of my booking when I arrived, however they quickly rectified the problem.
The location of the hotel was very good. The restaurant was clean bright and the service from the staff was very good The room which I was in was adjacent or near to a pump/generator which ran for approx. 10-25 seconds during the night. At 03.30 I approached the person on reception and he said there was no such thing. So I kept a record and handed it in at the reception next morning. There was mildew around the bottom of the glass shower panel, this could have been removed by simple basic cleaning methods.
Good location off M74, good clean rooms, enjoyed complementary glass of wine on arrival - nice touch. Would use again if needing a stop over just outside Glasow
Excellent work area in room with free wifi made business use very good. rooms were a good size and well appointed. None
Good Room, Excellent bathroom - Free WiFi Poor Breakfast - Expensive for cereal and toast
Staff Rooms all design at the expense of utility
Very pleasant place to stay, convenient for Grandsable where I was attending a Funeral Apple trees over the car park
Room was excerlent. Breakfast was a big let down
