Service was great quality, very modern luxury rooms, perfect TV programme, great wellness area. great breakfast. nothing
Excellent friendly staff, good facilites including beach towels for guests, excellent wifi, nice view of Adriatic. Hotel and staff were great. Persons arriving by car should be advised that direction signs in Split city are generally poor or absent, but the citizens of Split are friendly and helpful, so do not be afraid to stop and ask. Superb new highway from Zagreb to Split makes this an interesting and quick 390Km trip.
Everything. It´s very good hotel.
This is a fantastic hotel with excellent facilities and staff.
Professional friendly staff who were helpful. Clean and modern. Swimming pools were a good size. Great location for touring the coastline, mountains and an easy and short bus ride away from Split with it's many cafes, restaurants and the harbour. We only had the buffet supper to choose from as the other restaurants were not open, which we did not know when we booked. We were not impressed with the buffet so went into Split for all other evening meals.
Beautiful hotel with very pleasant an attentive staff. Hotel is about a five minute cab ride from city center, but very luxurious with fabulous views of the Adriatic.
Le Meridien is always a solid hotel and this is another example of a beautiful hotel near Split. Some features ar e a little outdated.
Breakfast. Very nice.
The hotel itself was most comfortable with very good facilities. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The shuttle service into Split was totally inadequate. We had to use taxis and the bus as there were too many people for the shuttle. The wardrobe in the bedroom needed shelf space and much less hanging space.
The breakfasts are excellent. The Spa is a very good feature. The rooms are large. The staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel is right on the stony beach, there are plenty of sun beds and there are some nice local restraunts. It's a very large, top quality, but mainly tour operator and business orientated conference hotel. There are no drawers for clothes in the bedroom. There are no in room tea/coffee facilities, and no trouser press. The main restraunt lacks any sort of atmosphere and is expensive.
We got a great deal because of the time of year that we went (March 2007). We really got a lot of value for money. It was a very impressive hotel with friendly staff.
The Hotel was out of town but it was easy to use the local bus service to get in and out of town. The Hotel was wonderful with great facilities ie spa, swimming pool and beach if you preferred to swim in the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room we had was spacious and clean.Other restaurants were nearby if you felt like a change. I would recommend the nearby Pizza restaurant which is only a 5 minute walk away from the Le Meridien.
THe faclities and especially the staff who were uniformly excellent in all respects.
All of the bars and the excellent, friendly staff that worked in them, the restaurant with excellent food, the swimming pool that makes you think you are swimming in the sea,the fantastic diocletian spa especially the hot beds and steam room, the casino where i ended up winning at poker. The food in the pizza bar was awful
Very bad service in restaurant and too expensive.
Breakfast was very good The staff at the hotel is a bit clueless! Not very profesional
excellent room - suite looking out over the sea. good staff at check in/out - very welcoming. Evening bar a great place to sit out and watch the sun set. very busy pool and bathing areas - looked like lots of non-hotel guests + food options by pool very poor.
If you want to stay in the old city area, then the location is for you Tattered and dirty towels.room next to the kitchen should not bra room. Odors and sounds from the kitchen come into the room. Staff was like oh well. Breakfast was a typical EU breakfast but with orange drink, not juice and powdered eggs.
The terrace is wonderful and the food served there great. Only stayed for one night so cannot offer more. The front desk staff very welcoming and friendly.
Location, look from the outside, public space, friendly staff Small room, view blocked by trees that could be trimmed
Staff were pleasant and helpful Expensive - not great value compared to other hotels I stayed in in croatia
Hotel staff was frienfly and the hotel is located peacefully by the park just a short walk from the city center. I found my room quite small and it seemed that when I came to the room the cleaning has been done quickly. The breakfast buffet was too small for so many hotel guests.
Excellent breakfast, very helpful front desk staff, free internet terminal
The price was far too high for what they offered - at that price one would at least have expected a swimming pool. The rooms were very small and I dont think the decor had changed since 1921. It was not quite as close to the old town as we were led to believe. Would not recommend this hotel.
I enjoyed having drinks on the terrace at night and the breakfast was very good. The food in the dining room was excellent. The size of the room but I think that is indicative of European hotels.
Its a grand looking hotel with a lovely big terrace outside. We had a sea view room,, very comfortable large double bed. Food was good in the restaurant. Its located near a small sandy beach and a short walk into the old town of Split which is definitely worth a visit. The bathrooms are a little dated but quite acceptable.
Liked the location near the sea. Was well-appointed and had a great breakfast. Room was slightly small, but ok.
Day reception staff friendly & attentive. Good location. Good terrace cafe. Looks nice from the outside. Comfortable bed. Reasonable breakfast. Wi-fi internet works well. Evening reception staff unfriendly. Room & bathroom quite small. TV small & static (sound) comes & goes. Cushion covers old & one torn. This is a typical Soviet era hotel - pooly designed with small rooms, small lift & old fixtures. Hotel has a local 4 star rating, but should be 3 stars. Unfortunately most other hotels in Split are similar, so choice is very limited. Internet opinions about this hotel vary wildly, so other rooms may be better that ours (#107).
Well ecquiped facility. Location is a bit distant from city center, there is nothing particular aroud the hotel. Business atmosphere.
Helpful staff. Modern facilities. Location
roms are excellent - bed comfortable with nice large veranda - recently refurbished I think, certainly the room I had. hotel sign is difficult to see, so drove past it a couple of times before locating the entrance.
Big room No soundproofing as promised. No cold water available
i thought this hotel was nowhere near as good as it says it is and should not charge 170 euros a night, the staff level was three star and the breakfast food level was three star
Easy to find driving in, clean and comfortable. Bus in front to visit Old City. Very good breakfast. Had dinner in hotel, with slow and poor service. Food had no flavor.
Definitely the staff were friendly and very helpful
everything! No! Except that the hotel is at about 20 minutes walk from town.
kind staff, clean facilities breakfast the second day was not very fresh
excellent breakfast location, too far away from old town
The hotel is very modern and kind of stands out as a bit out of place given some of the other places I stayed in Croatia. However, it was still lovely. The staff were great, the location was ideal and the breakfast was extensive and delicious.
The accomodations and service were extraordinary and the location is perfect.
Good Hotel, doesn't have a bar facility, sea view rooms available. the climate control in the room could not be regulated below 22* C, when opened the balcony door the chimney smoke and the kitchen smells come in from the restaurant below.
Very comfortable accommodations, good location, friendly staff, interesting site. No.
This is an excellent boutique hotel in a fantastic location. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room (superior double with balcony and sea view) was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The bathroom was large, modern and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable with quality bed linen. Flatscreen tv with lots of English channels. The hotel is walking distance to the port, beach, train station and old town. The breakfast was outstanding with friendly staff. We loved our stay here and would definitely stay again. The only things stopping our stay from being perfect was not having tea and coffee making facilities in our room, and the wifi not working in the room. We had to go out into the hallway to get wifi but lost it as soon as we went into our room. Small things that would definitely not stop us from returning or recommending the hotel to others.
Very beautiful look on the seas and old city from a window of number, a magnificent interior it is poor breakfast, there is not hot eat
Very friendly staff, nice breakfast
We had a marvelous stay in Split at the Judita Palace . Wonderful interiors, the experience was fantastic and so are the staff, excellent breakfast too. In the end we were almost sorry to leave. Upon arriving we found ourself in a valley of smiles from the very first person we met ,Maria. The bed was one thing that if we could take home, we would have done. Our warmest congratulations to the Hotel for their choice of personnel. They know how to really make you feel at home, and if you need anything it is like asking a family member. Congratulations from the heart, you were fantastic. We will be back!
It was quiet and easy to use. I liked to use the amenities and it was close to Salona Not enough towels. IT link on the computer in the room.
Although the hotel wasn't totally finished, the staff were very friendly and helpful and you weren't aware of the work going on. Lovely decor and lovely food also
The hotel has a large swimming pool and it is close to many points of interest: Solana, Trogir, Split, Klis. Very poor isolation of walls between rooms, no isolation door to gangway. No orange juice in the morning, but a kind of brown colored nectar... poor breakfast buffet
Never a 5 star hotel
Hotel is unfinished, service max. 3 star, never a 5 star hotel. Cheap for a very Comfortable hotel room.
The location was upgraded to Junior suite on arrival... there were no views as windows were at the side looking on to another building was then upgraded again to delux suite which was much better this was due to the fact that bed in junior suite had collapsed twice. no breakfast was served on 3rd day they got the time wrong although we asked for the same time every day .. breakfasts were very poor no variety same every day boring....
Wonderful place to spend your time while in Split. Palace Suites has the best location for travellers who like to be in the center of the city. It is so conveniently located that everything I needed was in walking distance, which I value when I travel. The room put a smile on my face when I walked in due to the ancient brick wall theme which gives it a pleasant aura. The rain shower in the washroom was unbelievable. I plan to put one of those in my own washroom after my stay at Palace Suites. Excellent hotel, no complaints whatsoever.
owner was great. lack of hot water
The proprietor was very friendly and helpful and once you got to hotel it was in a unique location. It was not ready to open. Light fixtures were not installed in bathroom, wireless internet and tv did not work, breakfast arrangements with restaurant across the street had not yet been established, and no credit card machine on site. While hotel says there is no parking does not state that there is no parking in the old town at all that parking must be at train station. Proprietor while acknowledging all these issues still charged full price for accommodations. Very much feel like stay was used as a trial run for occupancy and was charged full/high price for the experience
Being so close to everything. Having breakfast in your bedroom.
We arrived late to a very warm welcome and most helpful reception. The room opened onto the main square in the historic car free centre in Split. A simple but fresh breakfast was served in the room again by friendly staff.
The location of the rooms and the decor As previous reviewers have stated the suites have accepted guests long before it is ready to open and should not be charging the full price whilst "practising". "Reception" is in what appears to be a family living room which is cluttered with personal belongings/clean laundry. This is also where the haphazard breakfast is served. Breakfast was served on a settee shared with several other guests while staff rummaged in cupboards to find glasses and cups. Juice was served by placing a carton on the table for guests to share amongst themselves. To pay by credit card still entails walking to another office several minutes away as there is no facility to do this in the suites. Certainly not what I expected from 4 star boutique accomodation!!
The staff were amazing, very helpful and very friendly. The rooms were also very, very nice with a fantastic veiw.
The hotel is perfectually situated in the Old Town, everything is within easy reach, what more can I say. Its just the perfect choice!!
The location, the modern internal decor (especially the bathroom) and old Venetian exterior. we were 'upgraded' on arrival which was great as we had a fine view of the plaza The staircase to the rooms, the odor coming up from drain in bathroom, needed better lighting in the room The upgrade was much appreciated, although we thought we were booking the same type of room as depicted on the website. Had requested twin/two beds, although on arrival room had a double bed and a pull-out sofa - the sofa was perfectly fine and comfortable, however, initially was told to ahve sheets for this pull- out would mean an additional charge!! Settled that pretty quickly. Although owner/staff quite friendly, when we appeared for breakfast the first morning, were made to feel we were intruding; ordered breakfast brought in room next day. 3rd morning never got the requested wake-up call or the coffee/breakfast as requested
Extremely clean, tasteful design, cosy, very helpful staff, nice breakfast, 5 minutes' walk to city walls, excellent value for money.
Great location in the center of Split. We had nice spacious double room, speed wireless internet and excellent breakfast. Everything was great, especially stuff, who was very helpful in giving us interesting information about Diocletian palace.
The staff was excellent and very helpful with anything we asked. We had a small problem with our car and the owner helped us resolve the problem despite the fact it took up more than two hours of her time on a beautiful Sunday morning. She was very kind, understanding and never complained! The place was a bit difficult to find although once we found it, the location was excellent. There is no hotel parking although the staff helped us to secure a parking spot and carried our bags from the car to our room which was two short city blocks away.
Very good rooms, not huge but very cosy. Close to the sea and Riva, Nice pesonell, very friendly.
very sweet aroma rooms, breakfast, interior room, personal Payment Method, parking
