excellent hotel, great location and service!
Excellent swimmingpool and facilities. Perfect (comfort) room. Very clean and spacey. Quiet area, being close to the highway it didn't provide any disturbance. Water from tap (in bath) was not functioning like it should, very little water coming out. Babycod did not have a mattress. Older blond lady in breakfast area is very bad in proving service to customers.
Confortable family room, excelent welness facilities with a beautiful swimming pool and a very complete breakfast buffet. The staff could be more helpful and friendly.
We enjoyed the atmospere and the lay-out of the hotel and our suite It is not a matter of liking or not liking but just an observation: the swimmingpool of this quality hotel is a bit small
Luxury hotel, excellent food, and facilities. Very easy to find from the motor way
Great hotel with superb spa facilities. Nice bar. Breakfast great and all the better for wonderful view over the lake.
The food was wonderful, and the rooms that we had were perfect. The view over the lake in the morning was beautiful. The only downside was that the change in the exchange rate between booking and stay meant it was more expensive than we had hoped. However, the stay was still very enjoyable.
Friendly hotel staff pillows
Excellent stay in a peaceful location
very comfortable hotel good spa and pool
Please write at least 15 words small room, bad lighting, dirty walls, weird smell, very old sheets and towels
Elegant old fashioned hotel. Lacks some modern amenities, which is made up by the charm
Very friendly staff excellent restaraunt and pleasant atmosphere
The hotel is located in a nice friendly area. It is convenient for a short stay.
The room was clean and tidy and staff were helpful.
The Rozenhof provides an excellent standard of food for evening meals, in a pleasant and homely environment. Free wireless broadband is provided to all guests, something for which larger hotels often charge. The hotel is conveniently situated close to the University of Nijmegen.
Perfect for a single night's stay. Close to the university but a bit far from Nijmegen city. However, public transport is available right outside the hotel.
Quiet environment, nearby the city center, the bus stops in front of the hotel.
The restaurant! The staff were very friendly and the food was priced just right and delicious. The ambience was perfect with candlelight dinner.
Large clean room. The nice open balcony would be a great social area for groups to share.
Large Motel in countryside. For a Motel very luxuary, nice breakfast
Easy to find...large parking area! Very poor lighting in the room!
The location and the breakfast.
Friendly and professional Surprise late evening menu change.Had we known of the reduced menu after 10pm we would not have unpacked our luggage thus arriving in the restaurant at 2201hrs! (At check in we were just told "open until 11pm")
exceptional from all point of view: confort, facilities, friendly approach, restaurant, rooms and breakfast. more than great balance quality/price
The comfort of the rooms was excellent and the food imaginative and of a high standard The only difficulty was parking as there were so many business gatherings - but this just demonstrates how good the location is.
great location. nice breakfast
The location is excellent and central to the town. The gardens are landscaped and tastefully done. Can find no fault at all.
excellent country break and within easy reach of weeze airport
The rooms (are clean and complete equiped). The restaurant (food quality was excellent). That I have to pay by arriving. Internet access quality (only hotspot available).
Lovely, quiet setting. Free Car Park. Comfortable room. Fairly good breakfast.
A clean, pleasant hotel in a nice little town.
Very comfortable room and excellent reataurant.
Location, in centre of village, attractive area, plenty of walks, excellent meals. Very large clean & comfortable room.
Very comfortable modern room with good facilities and free internet. TV had a wide range of English Language channels. Excellent restaurant. Food Expensive but good. Staff were good but not enough to cover restaurant and front desk.
homey atmosphere the dinner price was a littel bit expensive
Staff excellent, welcoming and helpful. Food very good indeed if a little pricey. Rooms adequate but very poorly soundproofed.
Very freindly and helpful staff. Nice location in the square with tables in the square. Just need a handle on the shower doo in room 1
The rooms were very spacious, with separate toilet and bathroom. Staff was friendly. Diner was great.
nice place inside the wood no cooking facilities for tea..., bath needs renovation, very small TV, expensive W-Lan access, old and dirty towels
The hotel is sitated on a beautifull place, very close to center of Nijmegen. Very relaxing atmosfere after hard work.
High standard, helpful staff, superb breakfast Expensive bar prices
the restaurant, verry good dinner and enjoyable breakfast the rooms are enough big but dark colours and didnt look like 4 stars hotel!
i have stayed at hotel erica before, it is close to the town, but the location makes you feel as if you are miles away
Very nice room, nice staff, and situated in a lovely area.
scrambles eggs in the morning, never seen so perfect in any hotel!
the location is ver nice close to the woods for a nice walk the sauna was verry small just one cabine
very nice enviorment, and very good hotel in the forrest. I like the trees there and the foutain and the fresh air. a good place for a weekend stay!the staffs are nice! the bed is too soft, can't sleep well. the lift is broken so luggage can't fit. and the apparatus seems a little bit out dated.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was exceptional. The rooms were very clean and comfortable Good breakfast. Very nice evening meal, 3 courses for 26.95 euros per person. Can't fault anything
The kindness of all the staff, the professionalism of the owner, and the charm of the place. nothing
The family bedroom was excellent. Four decent beds on two levels with lots of space. It was a very comfortable room in a quiet location in a lovely little town.
The hotel staff were great. The rooms were large and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was great, and the staff there were polite and helpful too.
Friendly and nice atmosphere It was a hot day and night and the room was exceptionaly warm. No air-conditioning. My room was near an extraction fan and therefore quite noisy.
both my husband and myself thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, and so did my parents; especially the hotel staff were very friendly and easy to talk to
On arrival the hotel looked good in the middle of the village close to the river Maas. The room was large with a good bathroom and very clean. The service at breakfast was very poor and slow. No written fire escape route in the bedroom. No hair dryer. Poor menu in the evening for the tourist. No hot water for two days - builders on site - with lack of interest from the owners. With a extra touches in the bedrooms and staff training this could be a great hotel.
Excellent family room on two levels. Boutique-hotel-style: modern and minimalist. Very central position, and our room at least was quiet (rear- facing). Holland can be very hot in July, so the floor-to-ceiling window/patio door was much appreciated. They promise (in their information) rather more than they can deliver, E.G. easy wireless internet connectivity and charging cable adaptors. Reception knew nothing about either! (But hey, this was a holiday, so ... )
Location Hotel rooms were cold and lack of lighting in Bathroom
Peaceful and quiet, friendly staff Disappointed on Saturday night, decided to have evening meal, but at about 8 oclock were told that it was too busy and a meal was not available
The helpful staff, the design and decor of the hotel and the high standard being set and maintained throughout the hotel. The food was great! The staff couldn't do enough to help and make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The hotel catered for people who's first language is not Dutch by having menus translated and all staff able to converse in English. Set in a beautiful location and easy to find. The Manager was great - spending time getting to know his guests and asking what else could be done to make our stay more pleasurable. Would love to go back again!
the perfect setting of the hotel close to a beautiful village situated at the edge of a forest, very comfortablhe rooms in a charming villa. Excellent restaurant, above average quality, its an absolute must while staying there. The breakfast very comfortable, helpful staff, easy going atmosphere. Wont be too long before our next stay. Highly recommanded. the only thing that was not that pleasant....was the fact we couldnt stay there longer....
Especially the restaurant is wonderful. The setting of the hotel is also wonderful. Staff is very pleasant. But they are definitely understaffed. There was no-one at reception at arrival, someone from behind the bar had to come to reception. The same happened in the morning, the household staff doing breakfast had to take care of bringing me a hairdryer and she actually did not know where to find one. Also when checking out there again was nobody at the reception.
Well kept hotel at a surprising location. The restaurant was better than average and also frequented by many locals, which gave a nice buzz at a place which otherwise would have had a secluded feel at night. Room with a view, but unfortunately also at the overly full ash tray (champagne bucket) at the personnel hanging out place
Staff & Room Room could have had a kettle
Nice location and pretty view from the room. Staff is absolutely hopeless. Seems like guests are seen as a hassle and service is a dirty word. The room, presented as a suite, was very small.
Lovely room, very clean with nice facilities A bit too far from Nijmegen centre but bus was nearby
Very cooperative and helpful. I am waiting for follow up e-mail regarding charges. I left at 6 am and did not have breakfast. We might have been charged for breakfast for 2. Please e-mail Loesn@bellsouth.net We will be back! Wonderful stay.
Beautiful view, nice terrace and garden, friendly owners. The interior decorating. It does not go with the style of the housem but that's a matter of taste.
My wife! There are no lifts at this hotel, heavy cases have to be carried upstairs. No tea/coffee facilities in room. Very busy & noisy road close by. Staff holding conversations outside room window at 2.0 AM. The worst 2 nights of a 2 week touring holiday!
My room has enough space for 4 persons Time that the pool can be used is short.
Ability to use FitLand and the helpfullness of the hotel staff.
Everything was so clean and staff was very helpful. Evening meal was the best food we ate in Europe.
the location was great The swimming pool was closed on Sunday evening and the first room we were given was very cold
Based on the cleanliness of the room we thougt the hotel was brand new. On route from Malaga to Helsinki we appreciated the tranquility of the surroundings, the friendly staff and the excellent food in the restaurant.
Clean and new hotel. It was not clear that the swimming pool could only be used during free swimming hours, which is limited and varies during the days
Nice new rooms, friendly and velcoming staff opening times of swimming pool too many time restrictions. all- days
conveniently located, comfortable room very noisy room due to event at next door sport hall
Very good hotel Much metter than expected
nice people, nice atmosphere, the food saturday night the noice of the disco or something at saturday night
Large rooms, clean, great restaurant
We loved the bath and the tea and coffee facilities. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Internet use was good and the staff were very helpful. .
Friendly, and excellent, smart, cosy and comfortable restaurant. No
Very good restaurant. This also includes the breakfast. I found the room not heated. They also turned off the heating that I left on when leaving the room on the first day of permanence.
Everything that I read in previous comments was true. It is 15 minutes away from Weeze airport. Exquisite service. Very good dinner and breakfast. I was with customers, which arrived very late, but still had the opportunity to have some sandwiches. Very good indeed.
Lovely staff, breakfast, dinner. Family feel.
The flexiblity and helpfulness of the owners/staff and the attention to detail with meals/table decorations etc. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Not applicable
Cleanliness of the hotel was excellent and the staff were very friendly. I also liked the beautiful garden and the possibility of eating outdoors if weather permits. Wine was a bit too expensive
I would rate this hotel as a 4+ star establishment. Although it does not have the amenities of a big chain hotel, it is charming and clean, and the staff goes out of their way to be helpful and cheerful. The food in their restaurant is outstanding! No, nothing. It was a very pleasurable experience. If I return to the Netherlands, I will stay here again. I got brochures from them and showed them to my colleagues.
Fantastic restaurant, brilliant family-run estate. Spacious, clean, well-appointed rooms. Owners and staff were top notch.
very peaceful environment, the river view & restaurant area is magnificent, delicious breakfast (although little variety), everything very clean. the noise from the boat that transfers cars across the river. there can be a bit more variety for breakfast, eg.fresh bakeries (cakes/cookies) were missing.
Fantastic location, friendly staff, comfortable room, extensive breakfast, and great (though a bit pricey) restaurant.
Staff were fantastic!! Room was everything as promised.
Nice locatio,. quiet, parking close, wide room, large breakfast, competitive price. Issue to use WiFi from side rooms, expensive but excellent restaurant.
I had stayed there many times in the past as a base in 2003/4. Under new management it has probably improved on an already excellent small hotel (only 15 rooms). It has a wonderful setting on the banks of the River Maas just north of Venlo at Broekhuizen and makes a good base to explore the Maas natural region. Arcen and the hot springs are just across the river by little ferry and there is a brewery to explore to satisfy other tastes. The food in the 5* restuarant is superb and the service so friendly and efficient you really don't want to leave.
The location, the food, the room, and the ambience. The food was very good, but on the expensive side
Big room, very nice breakfast, great view and location
Very Friendly Staff, Beautiful location, Huge room with balcony and superb views over the river maas. Breakfast was top class! Loved the ferry at bottom of garden saved a long drive No
Nice, small and quiet. Is in the small town away form the city but depends what are you looking for.
quiet, a very good view, good atmosphere and excellent service and food The menu selection was a bit insufficient
Quiet, convenient location, excellent breakfast, good decor, comfortable room. staff helpful. smoking in public areas unpleasant.
Clean and comfortable and close to ammanities
Friendlyness of the staff The church tower next to the hotel was loud
The rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Reception accommodated our late arrival, after their 11 pm closing. There is a church clock tower that chimes every half hour and then rings 100 plus times early in the morning. Very disruptive when we are not use to such a noise. Did not sleep well at this hotel. Would recommend the hotel for excellent location to the shopping and restaurants and friendly reception service, but not if you want a restful, quiet sleep (due to the church clock).
Thank`s for staf very frendly
The staff was friendly, room nice, location good. The breakfast was poor and coffe terrible.
They gave me a bottle of water when I went away, very nice touch! the rooms were a little bit noisy, I heard everything my neighbours were doing
The hotel is lovely and in a great location not only for the airport, but also for the town of Arcen and castle. The owners were very nice.
Great friendly atmosphere
Everything was just fine, nothing fancy, but nice clean, quiet location - ideal base for cycling in the area Hmm - can't think of anything terribly wrong
Very friendly staff. Good Restaurant.
It was a very friendly and cosy hotel to stay in. Breakfast was excelent and well presented. Evening meal also good but could maybe be a little more varied, too many chips. But overall a very good experience. Could do with some better bathtowls
clean and beautigul location
Good breakfast! An unsafe excercise to get in, have to walk some meters along a crowdy road and clay soil in order to reach the entrance
friendly atmosphere, excellent service, comfortable & clean
Very clean and spacious accomodation, good food and welcoming staff.
Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, nice environment.
I found that the Staff was very helpful in assisting with every thing that I needed. I was traveling for business and have a poor understanding of the language, so I relied heavily on the staff for assistance. They were exceptional!
quiet, clean, bar access, breakfast service wireless is a bit slow
Very friendly and helpfull staff
The staff were excellent The noisy air conditioning, even if turned off the motor starts every two minutes and then turns off, other rooms were the same as could here them.
The personal attention and care are exemplary. The setting is scenic. Though some amenities are quite basic, this farmers B&B is very complete. A bit remote (if you were looking fotr city life:-)
friendly staff, good breakfast with lots of choice.
Walking distance to village centre, spacious layout, easy parking, clean. Breakfast on Sunday mediocre with fried eggs not freshly prepared (overcooked).
Very helpful staff - especially as I arrived quite late and I appreciated their help ordering in some food as the restaurant was closed
the breakfast was very good, and also good staff very smal bathroom with quite old shower
Staying in the middle of the woods and enjoying good food at the terrasse outside. Generous breakfast. Room near a busy road
Lovely room and excellent service. Loved everything about the hotel.
The hotel was comfortable and relaxed. The hotel garden was pleasant. The rooms were comfortable, well equiped and a decent size. When I ask for a double room I like to sleep in a double bed, rather than two single beds.
Diner and the service The space in the room was limited and one can't see tv from the bed easily.
LOVED the location! Stunning amount of walking/running trails through forest. Charming hotel and staff Steak was good but the local fish fish presented was very bland and unappealing.
The surroundings were beautiful and we very much enjoyed walking in the woods. Receptionist was very friendly. Our evening meal was disappointing - my husband's steak was so raw it was purple (he asked for medium) and my fish course was very salty and strongly fishy. Also, the beds and pillows were not comfortable and we could hear our neighbours in the adjacent room.
The room is very big and the hotel staff was very friendly. The breakfast wasn't as high standard as expected.
Easy to book, nice hotel, fantastic staff (Eric Gorman really mad us enjoy ourself) Our room looked a little tired and shabby (but was very clean), water poured out of shower
I enjoyed my stay in the Hotel Asteria and wouldn't hesitate to return there. The staff were efficient, friendly and very helpful and spoke excellent English. The location was excellent and the hotel itself was nice and modern and set in beautiful grounds with plenty parking space. The restuarant was very good but expensive for us Brits at the moment with the week pound. Although not many hot items to choose from in the breakfast buffet i.e. boiled eggs, scrambled egg and streaky bacon(where is the lovely Dutch back bacon!) there was fresh rolls, toast, cold meats, cheese, cereals, etc. everything you would find in a "Continental" breakfast. Two small things (1) the towels were too small and (2) No tea and coffee facilities in the rooms.
The staff and accommodation was just very very good, we were very well looked after, even though we missed breakfast they just charged slightly more for all us to have brunch. Which was first class. Will stay there again for sure. Just one point the charge on the room was taken from the credit card, even though the booking was based on paying on departure.
Comfortable beds, should have had tea, coffee and ironing facilities in room. Evening food a little pricey. Ok for a business trip stay..not for holiday stop. No facility for heavy luggage, we had a our 1 year old with us and lots to take to the room with no help from annyone..had to borrow a food trolly and make 2 trips. Coming from the UK expected a large double bed, but had two singles..
Good hotel at low price
Nice location Too noisy - loud music, party somewhere
