The staff is very nice and the building (XIV century) is really beautiful. The rooms are nice also; everything very typical of Siena.
One should notice they have no elavator, this maybe a problem for travellers with much luggage.
Very close to the center
The rooms are not good looking, the showers was not clean and stink
As a hiastoric building it is an unusual and atmospheric location, close to the historic centre of Siena, and the interior is attractive. We had a pleasant room with a small balcony..
I felt a minor reservation about the absence of on-site staff during the night. A phone number is provided in case of emergency, but this is not very reassuring for a foireigner.
The quiet yet central location and the garden terrace used for breakfast.
I thought the breakfasts were unimaginative.
Absolutely coming back here! Great romantic hotel, our room had a nice balcony where breakfast was served.
The rooms were very nice and complemented the age of the building. Excellent location for all the sights of Siena and surrounding area. There isn't a breakfast room here but a nice breakfast arrives at your room at exactly the time you request it.
Minor point but some of the furniture was a little tired. It does say that there isn't any on street parking in the hotel information but it doesn't tell you that the nearest car park is 25 euros per day to park and the receptionist didn't seem to know of any alternative. We did find a free car park about half kilometer away going out through the Il Tufi town gate it would be worth having this information available for other guests.
The hotel was a 14th Century building in the beautiful city of Siena. Easy to walk around the town from there , the hotel was very authentic and maintained in the old style, but clean with good facilities in the room and not cramped at all. Siena is very picturesque, full of historical interest and extremely safe and comfortable for tourists, with an excellent ambience.
We arrived after reception had shut so were glad to be able to collect our key at the trattoria next door. Breakfast in bed both mornings, unexpectedly! Very atmospheric and characterful building.
beautiful historic former residence with much character
no hot water our last (3rd) day
The person at the desk was very helpful and pleasant.
