Staff Weird hallways
Very close to city center & Duomo but very hard to get your car to the hotel to drop of luggage. Very hard to get to if not familiar with location.
very kind and helpful staff and close to the city center
Great location Finding the hotel by car at night. If we had known to go to the Porto Marco it would have really helped
very good location, good service,
Great location, beautiful period building with grand stone staircase (as well as lift), modern facilities and helpful staff. Free parking 10 mins away. 24 hr reception. Mattresses are 'firm'
Very good location. Very nice hotel with friendly staff I enjoyed nice view of Cathedral and Palazzo Publico. Very happy with breakfast. The only problem was noise from the room next door late into the morning. I had quiet a loud woman next door, unfortunately I was in the hotel for 3 nights and so was she and her partner. This sort of thing you just have to live with, it is part of routine hotel experience.
Pleasant and chatty staff who helped me retrieve lost property from local taxi company. Also, their restaurant recommendations were reliable (not always the case in Italian hotels).Clean and comfortable rooms. My room and some others had wonderful views of the Cathedral and surrounding countryside. Cheap use of use of internet. Excellent location near the Campo, the Duomo and the Pinacoteca. Free (Italian) newspapers. Nothing really, except lift only takes you up one floor, you then have to carry your luggage up to the next floor. And the breakfast, as in many three star hotels, is pretty uninteresting: industrial cakes and biscuits, processed cheese! But the coffee was acceptable.
Simple furnished room with marvellous view. Helpful staff. No wireless connection in room. Had to use the hotel connection which wasn't always convenient.
Spacious rooms - wonderful views of cathedral and countryside
Friendly and helpful attitude of all the staff. Our room was quiet and located off the Via Stalloreggi which is what we had asked for.
Views from our room were amazing We thought this would be our splurge hotel on our European vacation, but this was one of the more run down places we visited. The decor is dated (unpainted wood furniture and trim) and the shower was just a shower head on the bathroom wall with a shower curtain wrapped around it. The water from the shower got all over the bathroom floor making using the sink or toilet a messy adventure. We were quite disappointed with the overall value of this hotel.. although the location makes up for some of it.
All the staff were efficient, helpful and friendly; not just the reception staff but everyone with whom we came into contact (including those who did not have good English). The room was comfortable; the decor very impressive. The hotel made guests feel special. Only one thing. Our room was just above the main street and the noise from the street continued loudly until the early hours of the morning. On two nights it continued until after 3am and prevented us from sleeping. Perhaps double glazing on the windows would help.
Wonderful hotel with great location in the city center of beautiful Siena small room
staff location room air conditioning
Everything was perfect! From the way the old palazzo has been renovated to the non-vulgar luxury around you and from the location to the personnel. It is expensive - but it's worth it to the last cent. The reception / consierge services offered were really good. We think that could be excellent if the the people there knew a bit more about the probable city attractions.
Hotel is well situated in the town. The decor is very plush. Welcoming staff. Buffet breakfast is overpriced
Excellent location in the centre of the City. Very impressive building of great character. Well furnished room. Generally helpful and pleasant staff - but see below. Grubby carpet in room. Concierge gave innaccurate information about bus services and quoted eye watering price of 376 euros for 24hr car hire.
The Hotel Staff were exceptional. They made special arrangements to get us to our next destination. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel and appreciate all they did for us.
Fantastically located hotel, right at the heart of Siena. The hotel is also beautiful and seems well-maintained. Few facilities: For a luxury hotel I would have expected to find at least some - like pool, gym, etc...? In light of that, found the room rate extraordinarily high - stupidly expensive breakfast not included, internet charged at an absurd rate, €45 per night for parking, no facilities and a relatively inexciting and small room definitely do not justify the rate.
We were upgraded from 2 double rooms to a two room apartment and liked the view best of all as well as the friendly staff. Heater problem attended to expeditiously and professionally. The mattresses in the apartment were not comfortable and quite a few of the light bulbs were not working.
We enjoyed the garden: wonderful view and nice to breakfast there. We also liked the proximity of the city of Siena. Very difficult to find. Badly announced. No space to unload luggage. No help with same. Air conditioning not working or working poorly. Reception desk left without attendant for longish periods. Presentation as a lovers' nest and "hôtel de charme" not in tune with reality.
Great location right outside the city wall, although a little hard to find without a good map or GPS
The location was good just 15 min from Piazza del Campo. Price was more reasonable than staying in the old city. Having a free parking place was great. The bed upstairs separated from the bathroom and dressing area ddownstairs was a bit unusual and inconvenient.
Very good location! And excellent view from the terrace and from the windows of the 2nd floor!
the staff was wonderfuly helpful, starting with Lorenzas great informations, the very good service of the staff, the convenient location of the hotel, the breakfast buffet. But don't forget to ask for a room to the back as the street is very loud. the rooms were very small
Staff very friendly and helpful. Location right outside gates to Sienna met our needs as we were driving at that point in our trip. Yet still an easy walk into town. Lovely setting overlooking hills in back.
The view from the "picnic" area was incredible. My daughter and I enjoyed sitting in the back yard. Sharing wine and goodies from the bakery and deli. The stairs up to the loft were a bit scary in the middle of the night, if you had to go downstairs to use the bathroom.
The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was lovely. Beautiful hotel and grounds. Great breakfast balcony view. We would recommend this hotel to others.
A lovely hotel with beautiful views at the back over the countryside, and with very helpful and friendly staff.
Breakfast was great. The host was kind and business like and they were good about letting us leave our bags for a bit. Also I left something behind and they were good about sending it to me. I don't have anything
Loved the size and character - it was huge! We only stayed for one night, but we could have stayed for a week. Great location close to Il Campo and lots of good restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast was great - fresh cappuccinos and all! There was not a thing I did not like :)
nothing There was absolutely nothing positive to say about the hotel..find somewhere else to stay, even the resturant and breakfast wasnt good at all compared to the other hotels we stayed at in Europe
The price is too high for the service offered and the facilities. The hotel is old, the beds are a nightmare, very soft, the spring squeaks everytime you move. The bathroom and the room in general are very small. Photos do not represent reality at all.
Good value for money and helpful staff
Friendly staff, good location, nice breakfast, large comfortable lounge, quietness. The beds were not too comfortable and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor.
Close to Sienna centre, free parking
Location Breakfast, small room, extra money for parkingspace
Well positioned to the city and to the tourist attractions None
It was very pleasant and we enjoyed our stay there
The owners were really friendly and helpful. The room I had ( Donatello) was really nice and super clean. I would recommend this hotel for people travelling to Siena.
I had a fabulous room with a view and the young man w3as as hwlpful as he could be, considering he had to do too much. The young man needs help doing some of the work. He is doing his best.
Very convenient to scala mobile, to restaurants and to central Siena. Staff were helpful when we had to catch an early train. Would have liked access to kitchen to make tea or coffee during the day.
The room was clean and well-decorated. It was also close to the city center. No one was readily available to show us to our room and supply us with the key. Information on the need to phone in order to be let in was not included in the e-mail confirmation letter. The room had no towels, and the woman who finally let us in couldn't locate any. Noise from the street was also a problem.
The welcome and the eagerness of the owners to make sure that my stay was very comfortable. The breakfast was generous. Too many steps.
The location and the size of the room lack of extra pillows and if I was to have visited in the hight of summer lack of cooling - but this was not a problem for October
personnel and owner were really really nice and flexible
The location is perfect, easy access to the city centre but comfortably removed from the noise and mayhem around the piazza. Great restaurant and gelato shop just up the street. Kind of upscale rustic decor. Good breakfast.
The view from our room was spectacular. Great location.
The place wqas conveniently located not too close yet not too far from the Center of town in a charming part of the old city on a street with good stores for groceries, coffee, pastries, fruit and vegetables, as well as a coupoe of restaurants, trattorias, etc. The atmosphere in the B&B was pleasant, welcoming, very clean. The breakfast was ample and very nice...great coffee! I would definitely return there were I to travel back to Siena. I had some difficulty getting into the B&B on my first arrival. Thereafter, all went well. I stayed for 3 nights.
Good central location. Clean and comfortable room. Vouchers for breakfast to use at good cafes nearby. Hotel staff recommended excellent places to eat in the evenings.
Very good location. Just a few steps from Duomo and Il Campo. Spacious room with wide windows , nice and comforable bahtroom. Variety in breakfas,t served in a cafe right next to the hotel. The kichenette was a great idea. You could have fresh espresso at any time. Since there is no nigth recepsionist it should at least have a vending machine for water beverages snacks etc.
Staff were very helpful with information about Siena. Good base to explore Tuscany.
well located. Very noisy street with drunk people chatting all the night.
Location is really good and the B&B is easy to reach. The receptionist speaks very good English and recommended us excellent restaurants! The room we stayed in was big and comfortable.
The appartment was very spacious, clean and in great location. Being able to access a lovely courtyard was a bonus in this busy city. Walter our contact was extremely helpful and very knowledgable.
Closeness to town centre. Nice swimming pool. Breakfast could have been better!
The owners are very friendly and helpful and speak several different languages. They were very accommodating with any of our requests and found us another room when we decided to stay an extra night. There is free internet access and a good breakfast. The hotel is a nice walk into town. We had a delightful stay there. We appreciated being able to park our car for free there too.
I enjoyed everthing about my stay in this hotel. At first I was a bit worried as I got the bus to the hotel from the train station and it seemed ages to the town. but when I arrived the landlady at the hotel showed me the quick way to the piazza del campo which took only 10 mins to walk. The whole experience of Siena was fantastic. the hotel staff were fantastic and firendly. the room i stayed in was also brilliant. Nothing at all.
Hotel is very well placed in one of the world's finest little cities. Just outside the walls and about 10 minutes from the Campo. Ample free parking on site. Large clean supervised pool with adjacent Snack Bar.Breakfast simple but adequate.Great view of Siena from the hotel. Loud piped music at the poolside (Guns n Roses every afternoon). No air conditioning. The receptionist tried to convince us that the walls were in some way cleverly refridgerated, but I fear we paid a bit extra only to get the benefit of thick walls and not real air conditioning.Be careful when billed to check they correctly charge for extras ( we nearly paid twice for drinks taken from the bar)
Staff friendliness and helpfulness
Convenience to Sienna, swimming pool
The girl at the front desk was so friendly and helpful, Her name was Lornna. She was always cheerful. We emailed and asked if we could get one large bed instead of the twins that were only avaliable at the time we booked. Sure enough Lornna got the message and found us a better room....so we stayed an extra night. Thanks again There was nothing we didnt like. But if you are not much of a walker,be prepared to walk up the steep hill. its a great way to burn of the pasta and wine calories that go alone with and italy vacation
The staff are very helpful, the location is great and it has parking. Wifi dosn't reach your room though which makes it hard to do business. The beds are very good, rooms are very clean. Family run, a great place to stay.
Rooms abit small for 3 pax.
Staff was nice close to compo For the price better room . BreAkfast would be nice.
The staff was very helpful and the room was clean. Inconvenient charging options for phone, no electrical outlets near the bed, only one in the room by the door and one in the bathroom. Window overlooking the main street outside the Campo seemed like it would be a great location, but was noisy all night.
The check-in time is until 20:00. I was late because transferring in Tuscany by bus. The reception lady, Maria Luisa, is kind to leave me the message and came to me while 22:30. She is friendly. The house is very comfortable and you can have very good view from the balcony. It should be NO. 1 in Siena.
good location and great staff. rooms are small for the price. rooms are small
the excellent view , the free internet in the room The hotel reception closes at 8 P.M. It reopents at 7 AM . So after 8 p.m no one of the hotel's staff is in . So you are alone in the hotel. This made us feel a bit unsecured. To enter the hotel after 8 PM you have to enter a code in the hotel's main door
Location (with view), Breakfast, Bar area, Free internet
This hotel is really one of the nicest ever seen. What a location, what a views! /
The hotel staff were very professional, especially Michelle and Hazel.
Quality of room, service, and and superb view
The very warm welcome and the relaxed informal style, it felt like being at home, we rate the service very highly. The attention to detail was excellent, the breakfast choice was superb and to be able to sit out on a private balcony to have breakfast with a view of the city and the Duomo was a delight. When returning to Siena we will definitely use the hotel again.
Beautiful terrace for breakfast with a panoramic view of the city. Attractive room with a comfortable bed. There is no one on the premises in the evening. I needed a blanket and had to call someone at their home to come over to get one, which they did promptly.
A beautiful quaint hotel in a well located area with great staff!
