10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfort, cleanliness, superb bathroom, good blinds on the window to keep out the sun, good air con, nice clean new pleasing decor. Small quiet Spanish village, very nice owner. a large iced bottle of mineral water greeted us on arrival, which was very welcome. welcome. Plenty of easy parking right outside. It is difficult to understand how to get in - just ring the bell of the house number in the address and the owner will come out and take you to your room which is a separate but adjoining annex.
Cons: Nothing. This is a great place, there is nothing whatsoever to complain about. One thing that would improve it would be a small electric kettle and a couple of mugs with a small amount of tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided. But, I know that isn’t the norm in the region and I wouldn’t expect it (we took our own). It would be the icing on the cake though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very large room with comfy beds. The owner of the property is very nice and accommodating. He took the time to address several questions we had upon arrival. Great stopover 15 minutes south of Caceres.
Cons: Check in was a little confusing, but just call the number on the door and someone will let you right in.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and in an excellent location for the village amenities and onward travel south.
Cons: We recommend letting the hostal know your arrival time so they can be there to open up. We called on arrival and they appeared very quickly but we had a concerned moment when no one was there.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Super clean, quiet, well decorated and confortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were running very late with our arriving but had a very warm welcome (we were on the Camino, the last Albergue was full and we arrived after 50km of walking).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Vicente, the owner, is super nice and friendly. Very clean room. Very quiet location.
Cons: Not many amenities nearby, but it's a small town.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the way we were treated during our stay. But the best thing is that I felt valued. And completely zen when I left.
Cons: Nothing, everything perfect ❤
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, perfect location, you cant miss the Atrio Restaurant with the tasting menu. Its not just the food and service that I truly like but also the rythm between dishes. Usually when I have try fine dinning tasting menus they are never ending experiences since it takes them too long between courses, this is not the case in Atrio. My best tasting menu experience.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely first class -- a splurge but worth it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel and Dinner!
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Drove to hotel, very difficult to find. Ended up parking 3-400 metres away and concierge collected and took to off site parking. Great room. 350 page wine list, 2 Michelin star restaurant. Tasting menu only but excellent. My only minor gripe is no complimentary H2O in room and at these prices seems unreasonable not to have a bottle of water each in the room and have 4/5 euros added to bill. Bit stingy of R&C IMO. Otherwise great experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Immaculate in every way. Attention to detail impeccable.
Cons: Nothing at all!
7.5 Good
Pros: The ffid was good and excellent in parts but too heavy and rather unbalanced
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern in a historical site. Every detail was done with taste and thought. Restaurant two Michelin Stars got a table with out a reservation for been a guests.
Cons: None
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here with our little dog and whilst this is a high end hotel the staff could not have been more welcoming to her. The restaurant absolutely deserves its two Michelin stars and the wine cellar is immense. We had the pork tasting menu and the wine pairing and enjoyed every second. The service is excellent but not formal and made for a relaxed atmosphere and restaurant ambiance . Would absolutely recommend
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything. The attention to detail is superb. The staff is exceptional and just adds to an already fantastic experience. One of my best hotel stays ever. The restaurant quality, service, staff and setting is the best i have ever experienced. This is a MUST for every traveller.
Cons: The fact that we only stayed one night

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and the nicest staff I've ever encountered in Spain! Room was very well-equipped and clean. The breakfast buffet is one of the few that is actually worth the money! Parking (10 euros/day) is tricky but not impossible, staff will help you find the garage. They recommend you contact them beforehand so they can email you point by point directions to avoid local fines.
Cons: Nothing. It was an excellent stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property set in a former palace. Friendly professional staff, lovely rooms, great beds and pillows. Quality bathroom products & excellent decor. First class all the way. Off site parking, difficult to find but one of the staff drove us to the parking station & then showed us the 2 minute short cut walk back. We would stay there again without hesitation.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent, right on the edge of the main plaza and very easy to reach the main sights of the town. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and there is a lovely little seating area for drinks in the walled courtyard at the back. The room was lovely and quiet and a good size.
Cons: The lighting was a bit challenging in the room. It is in a Morroccan style, which is lovely, but the lighting was quite poor, particularly if you want to read, look at a map etc.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location right on the main Plaza. The room had a lovely terrace. The owner was very charming and helpful.
Cons: It would have been useful to have more information on the parking location before we arrived.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic variety of interesting teas available Staff very friendly Antique furniture and spectacular interior design Excellent location in the heart of Caceres
Cons: Breakfast could have more variety, lot of carbohydrates . Maybe more fruit or protein?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location at the corner of main square of Caceres. Hotel has a very nice moorish design, they have a public tea-house on the ground floor where they serve breakfast in the morning. Parking just a few minutes away in the parking house of a bigger hotel. Room well equipped and comfortable, design is really nice.
Cons: Well if you have any issue with noise and can’t sleep with windows closed than it can be loud a bit as all restaurant are just a few meters below the window. Spanish people stay up late and have fun really loud. For us it was not such an issue, we could sleep even with the noise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: For a stay in Caceres, this hotel is hard to beat, given it’s perfect location just on the edge of Plaza Mayor. We were greeted by the lovely friendly owner who spoke perfect English and was so warm and welcoming. I’m sure we must have been upgraded as our room had a wonderful terrace where we enjoyed the stars, the shower was super swish and the bed really comfortable. Breakfast was served in the characterful tearoom on the ground floor and was plentiful and tasty, food coffee, juice, bread and olive oil, cakes and fresh fruit. We’d go back without a doubt if we’re in this gorgeous city again, thank you so much :) x
Cons: It was all lovely
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Moroccan theme, great hosts, loved our little terrace, very good really fresh breakfast and all on the corner of Plaza Mayor.
Cons: Very little we disliked! But parking was a bit of a faff but hey ho!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was designed with a lot of imagination. Located at Plaza Mayor, all sights are within easy walking distance- and the hotels beautiful yard invites for enjoying one of the tea specialities. A truly exceptional place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the hotel itself: the location, the staff, the room looking out towards the square, the sheltered garden café/seating area, the shower was great, hot water no problem. Very clean.
Cons: Noise from Sports Festival Tamnoy on square outside, from early morning, (8.30?) with very loud rock music booming out. NOT the fault of the hotel, but we couldn't leave the window open at all in the daytime because of the deafening noise. Something for the Sports festival organisers to regulate, perhaps?
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location and very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: For older clients such as ourselves a bit more light on the stairs and the bedroom would be helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved it - full of character and excellent breakfast

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast, except for the bread. Best shower in all of the hotels during our 1-month Spain tour.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just a lovely very friendly hotel, and as it was Hispanic day and bands playing in front of the hotel, they gave us a room atthe back which was quiet.
Cons: Not their fault - but there was a cycle fun run so half the roads were closed and my poor sat nav nearly exploded, not to mention my partner!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed here before to break our journey. The hotel is ideally located in Plaza Major in the center of old Caceres, while it does not have a restaurant their are plenty to choose from and the breakfast is excellent. We were disappointed with the position of our room and so paid a supplement for a front facing one.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location in the centre of this historic site. Our attic room was lovely and very quiet. The beamed ceiling adds character but the room would be unsuitable for a tall person as the ceiling is low in parts.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great breakfast, lovely staff and overall good value. Room was small but acceptable- unfortunately the bed was hard however. I would still recommend the hotel.
Cons: Softer bed
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast and location in the Plaza Mayor.
7.1 Good
Pros: Great location right on Main Square . Hotel has clean bathrooms and beds. Breakfast is a good deal value/price. Bathroom is very ample and comfortable. Same as bedroom.
Cons: Walls need some cleaning and door locks need some repairs. Elevator is quite slow. Service could be friendlier
Hotel Albarragena - Cáceres - Bedroom

6.0 Good
Pros: Great location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old building, big high ceilings. Bathroom spacious but in need of renovation.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely old-style Spanish hotel. This part of town is nothing if not complicated to navigate however! I was on the phone to the owner asking for directions when we met in the street - we were actually outside, but the sign for the hotel is so high up that we didn't see it! The streets are narrow and we weren't looking up - the sign for the restaurant dominates. Absolutely beautiful hotel and room - and there is a lift, despite the age of the building. We were able to deposit our luggage and then find the car park which the hotel uses. The following morning we opted to wheel our bags rather than try to drive all the way round again. Breakfast was very good - we ate on the terrace outside, which was lovely. We ate very well in the old city, but suspected that the restaurant which is attached to the hotel is probably very good.
Cons: It's fair to say that Caceres was the most complicated city to navigate - but this did not prevent us from enjoying our stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff were accommodating and friendly, reasonable price for room. We only stayed one night but this lovely town deserves more time and exploration. I would have happily stayed in the Albarrangena longer if I had time.
Cons: Due to age and movement of building some need of repairs (broken tiles in our bathroom floor, room 106)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely quiet location, great value for money
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Is nicely located in the old village and therefore close to many restaurants. Room os spacious and beds comfy
Cons: Too noisy and driving there is a challenge
9.6 Excellent
Cons: -WIFI was weak -Was a function/party at which participants were yelling, getting drunk until 2am, preventing sleep until then
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great value. Fantastic location.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely building in excellent position for seeing old town. Very good room, lots of space. Happy dog. Fantastic food in restaurant. Lovely dining area outside. Nice staff
Cons: Nightmare to find by car. Need to give good directions. We got there eventually because a kind passerby got in the car and took us. Better signage needed e.g. to eating areas. Also although hotel name is up on the wall on first floor, we didn’t see it at first, as the reception area is on the ground floor which is by the restaurant with a different name. We used the public car park with a discount which is good, but again a bit too far if you have luggage and daunting to drive from it to the hotel to pick up luggage at the end. We wanted to breakfast in the hotel but although we were told breakfast would be available at 8 nobody turned up on either day and we went into town instead. It’s a shame as the restaurant was so good.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location right in the old town.
Cons: Not really enough to do in caceres
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms on the small size and in modern style - clashing with the old setting.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Extremely helpful and friendly staff We came on our bicycles and the staff was very helpfull accommodating safe storage Very nice building Breakfast was excellent
Cons: The room was a bit small and looked a little tired. It was the most expensive of the Paradors we stayed in on this trip but not the best value because of the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice patio with restaurant.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast buffet.
Cons: The parking situation is tricky. Not suited if you are on multi night stays at the parador as, if you need to drive your car to do some sightseeing outside of the city then come back later you may or will find that you do not have a space to park. This will involve going to the reception to be directed to go to the private parking facility down the hill by following their shuttle van and to transfer to this van to take you back to the Parador and be charged the €19.- per day fee!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location close to old church and main plaza. Easy walking distance to old restored village area. Very clean and friendly staff. Very quaint accommodation with interesting décor. Nice breakfast buffet.
Cons: The parking situation is a hassle in Caceres. Best to reserve a spot in the garage. Worth the 10 euros. A little difficult to find the garage if it is your first time in this town.

We called a day ahead and reserved a parking place in their garage located a five-minute walk from the hotel. The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring this historic and beautiful city.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was really good, you can choose from many options and also as a buffet, you can eat plenty of food. Good quality. Staff so nice, always trying to help. THey recommended to us a nice restaurant for lunch.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A great location to explore Caceres. Also easy access to many restaurants.
Cons: The local water tastes peculiar and they use it to make their coffee. I would suggest using bottled water.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The hotel is very clean , modern and warm. The breakfast was the best we had on our tour, excellent. The bar is very good as is the cafeteria.
Cons: A small complaint would be the indoor pool at the spa, there is too many bubbles and water falls going on in the pool, infact you can't see a large concrete structure under the water at one end because of all the bubbles and you bang your legs into it. It would have been better to be able to switch the bubbles and water fall off.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were excellent. It was not their fault that the Wifi did not work and there were no English speaking TV stations. Breakfast was good The room allocated was very comfortable
Cons: Wifi - no point in asking for it when booking and turning up to find that it is pre-dinosaur level Lack of English TV stations - not even American ones - would not have booked this hotel had we known this Terrible night's sleep owing to screaming teenagers outside the hotel from 3 am to 4.30 pm. Food in the snack bar -weird presentation and undercooked
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Typical large chain hotel. Good breakfast.
Cons: Shame the swimming pool is closed from September. We were there in October in 29 degree (and higher heat ) so a pool would have been great. No furniture for sitting outside either. Cons: View from rooms, which also suffered from noise, either from traffic or air con.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location, big rooms and confortable beds, you will have a good night sleep for sure!
6.3 Good
Pros: Its proximity to the old town and all its attractions and dining oportunities plus in house parking
Cons: we were not advised that the premier dining room required reservations, which meant we had to go elsewhere.
7.6 Good
Pros: Location for old town, Secure parking for motorcycles, good size rooms.
7.0 Good
Pros: We stayed at the AH Agora during a trip to see the ancient town of Caceres. The hotel is modern and in an excellent location between the modern new town and the old town. Staff were friendly and helpful and even parked and retrieved our car from the underground car-park (pay-parking). Breakfast was good. We didn't take any other meals in the hotel; lots of restaurants in the nearby Plaza Mayor.
Cons: A couple of English language TV news channels would be a bonus.
6.0 Good
Pros: tidy, good service, large room. rooms nothing special - not bad but not amazing. average / acceptable for money.appears to have facilities for wheelchair which is very uncommon in southern spain. great town though.
5.2 Okay
Pros: Close to old town
Cons: Parking is tricky. Small room.
5.2 Okay
Pros: nice hotel and room, overall
Cons: walls between rooms are not soundproof (at all)
6.4 Good
Pros:
Cons: The coffee served at breakfast was disgusting
6.0 Good
Pros: It has a modern, spacious design and our room was large and comfortable. Location is good for the center of town and the more scenic parts are five minutes' walk away. There's a magnificent view of the town and surrounding countryside from the roof terrace.
Cons: The hotel is on a narrow, shabby back street that's used as a high-speed short cut and whose pavements are intermittently blocked by scaffolding; but this will be temporary, as the neighborhood is clearly being renovated.
7.2 Good
Pros: Location and cleanleness
Cons: Bar closed before 11PM

7.5 Good
Pros: The location was great as it was a very short walk to the town's central plaza.
Cons: It was a little difficult to find as it is accessed through narrow streets.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is exceptionally convenient and located on a quiet street. It is literally minutes from the main plaza and a good number of restaurants.
Cons: A mini-bar in the room would have been great; also an extra trash can in the bedroom would have been convenient. Trash cans should be lined with plastic bags.
7.9 Good
Pros: The wifi was only working a few hours per day or night; it was unpredictable. The manager was able to load a youtube movie onto his cellphone at the front desk and announced that the wifi was fine. He said many guests use older phones and somehow contaminate the signal. We finally went to another hotel after our 2 day stay at La Castilla, due to the inability of their wifi to allow us to work.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was made welcome.
7.9 Good
Pros: The guy at check-in and the lady at check-out were very nice people. The guy was very good to read our request and try give us a room that we requested. However, we preferred the original room that he gave us, so we stayed put. The room was a nice size and had a comfortable bed with a firm mattress on it. The room and the whole place was very clean. The property is only a minute walk from the main square of the city. There is a lift in the property for those of lesser mobility, such as old-age pensioners,
Cons: Unfortunately, there was a horrible whiff of smoke throughout the morning coming into our room. It was overwhelming. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from, but it was disgusting and was coming from within the hotel. The pillows on the bed are also very flimsy, as seems to be the case in all Spanish hotels. I need a pillow with more body. The wifi never connected once when we were there, even down at reception. None of our 5 products were able to connect to it, even once. Also, it seems to be a thing in this region of Spain, but why do they insist on controlling the water temperature of my shower/bath? I like a very hot shower, not a lukewarm shower. It was impossible to raise the temperature of the water. It was barely warm enough even for a young baby.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Staff cheat customers. Watch your bills.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The bathroom was lovely too, was nice having the choice of a bath and shower.
Cons: Nothing!

Cons: Location - very noisy - hardly slept - not hotel’s fault.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room and public rooms. Nice staff. Very good value. Wifi fast if one could find it.
Cons: Breakfast was mediocre, coffee poor. Intermittent unpleasant smell in our bathroom (nothing to do with me!) Wifi nonexistent in our room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location close to the old city “Ciudad Monumental”. Lovely old world ambiance.
Cons: Not really a dislike but it was a bit challenging to find the hotel. Thank goodness for Googlemaps and helpful shopkeepers directing us to the hotel entrance. We opted to leave our suitcases in the car, in the garage, and put a change of clothes and toiletries in our day packs. Good idea! Steep footpath from the garage to the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, happy, friendly, helpful staff, beautiful 18th century decor and furnishings (the guest lounge areas are absolutely gorgeous!). Totally enjoyed staying in this charming, 300 year old palace.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Stayed here for two nights, place is just outside Cáceres Plaza Mayor (10mins walk) in a quiet, safe neighborhood and ~25minutes walk from the train station. We only had backpacks (no rollaway luggages) so it was a leisurely walk from/to station along avenue and park. Very accommodating & friendly hosts, room was much bigger than expected for the price with a kitchenette (dining table, microwave & ref) and a living area. Had great recommendations on touring the surrounding areas and help in transportation arrangements prior to my arrival. The hostal did not serve breakfast on the days we stayed but there is a cafe nook just around the corner serving espresso & pastries.
Cons: Did not see any eating places for lunch or dinner close by the property.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Bed comfortable but small. Blanket too small. Very nice hostess. Great location.
Cons: The only problem was the blanket - seemed like a single bed size on a small double bed 120cm. Better to be too big than too small. To be fair we were offered a choice of rooms either with small double bed or 2 large singles.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff and super close to plaza mayor. You can walk wherever you like and there's free street parking. There's a heater and AC in each room.
Cons: I wish there was a more of a cafe downstairs to buy fruits, yogurt or coffee for breakfast. There is a small vending machine. Very little bathroom soap so bring your own if you use a lot.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, emoloyees, cleaness
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location and nice girl behind the deck. For budget hotel it is very ok.
Cons: - I couldn’t find kitchen - Walls are like paper , so you hear everything like talking and pitiful attempts to sex and lousy orgasm.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice receptionist, good location, second (rain) shower was great.
Cons: We needed to switch rooms, first room had a very small shower, second room smelled of smoke

Tostadas and tea / coffee provided for a breakfast. Owner speaks excellent English and very friendly and helpful. Plenty of information and advice on local attractions and birds
Cons: Nothing. This was the best place that we have stayed in.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The position was fantastic to visit Cacares and Trujillo
Cons: The room was very very hot and allthough the air conditioner it was difficult to cool up and sleep. There is nothing near the compound so you have to ho to Cacares. It’s difficult to talk with the reception because they don’t speak english.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The space available to relax
Cons: Low door, so tall person had to duck down

9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is within walking distance of the old town, in a safe neighborhood with ample free street parking. It has all the basic amenities for an overnight stay. For some reason my GPS had me going in circles until I parked the car and someone walked me to the hotel. The staff were welcoming and spoke English. Very good value for it's location, quietness and comfort.
7.5 Good
Pros: very reasonable price/value ratio. A low key place with no thrills, but very convenient for a few hours stay just to sleep and leave.
Cons: Parking in the area is a bit of a lottery
7.9 Good
Pros: We location is wonderful. A lot of free parking places near. Only 5 minutes to the historical centre, shops, bars. Highly recommended tapas bar "Perhaps". Really tasty, fantastic food, atmosphere, personal and price.
Cons: We stayed only for 1 night and it was Saturday... Window of our room was on a road...Condition wasn't working and we needed to open the window. Until 3 a.m. people walking along the street with songs and fun.
