Great location on major highway crossroads. Nice swimmingpool and wonderful breakfast - freshly pressed orange juice, nice baguette, eggs etc. When we arrived, the flushing system in our room was broken, but the hotel staff fixed it very quickly and was very helpful.
Small but clean and quiet hotel. Convenient as a transit point during travelling by car. Hotel is a little bit old.
Convenient location close to highway, restaurants and coast. Good breakfast. Bad smell in rooms, but was soon gone after opening the window.
A acceptable hotel for a stop during travel
Bed was fantastic - great mattress!
Friendly staff, great facilities, clean & great service, best yet
the rooms and the buffet breakfast we booked a room with a double bed but were given twin beds and these were pretty uncomfortable for us.
Good value, well presented meal with ample portions. Not impressed to find that the internet connection had to be paid for on line; not because of the cost but because that was not the impression given on the web site.
Good offer for breakfast, nice swimming pool, nice staff No wifi in the room
Hotel is OK, but location is not convienient.
price room very small with no wardrobe
Clean, cosy room, air conditioning. Difficult to find, terrible staff (could't find my reservation, messed rooms)
The hotel is near by the motorway and has good conection with the Toulon city center (bus 1 and 12) and is2 minutes away from a Carrefour market I think that the reception must be open 24 hours from 24. The elecxtronic borne, I think beeing not very good, because there are no indication how to use the card!
More access signalisation : difficulties to find out the way Breakfast very second-rate and expensive
Air conditioning. Staff (the family) clock off at 8 so if you haven't got it sorted by then you are stuffed. Miniscule rooms, shared showers and nothing near by.
We got what we were expecting to. The breakfast could have been better.
The hotel was comfortable & clean enough for the money paid & once found was reasonably well located. The hotel was difficult to find as the signage was not best situated. Also i would have prefered a shower in the room espescially as we had to leave the shower door ajar to keep the light on.
Outside tables to eat breakfast and relax in the afternoons. Excellent location 5 minutes drive from Toulon. Very polite staff. Breakfast was not worth the money
The reception doesn't know English. The location is not easy to find.
A good hotel with nice staff and good shared facilities. It is not in a particularly good position as it is a fair way from the train station and the city, but this only matters if you are train travelers as we were.
Inside the room was quite silent although there was a big road right beside. The parking place helps if you are travelling by car. It is expensive if you considered what you're getting: no minibar, the room is quite small and simple…
Location was quite okay: close to the highway. Perfect for daytrips. Nearby the commercial zone with restaurants and supermarkets. Room cleaning service was quite bad, perhaps some lazy cleaners?
-too small rooms
The owners were fantastic and really went out of their way to help us. The sea view room we were in was not really laid out so that you could enjoy the view without standing in a certain part of the room. Also, the hotel is a little further from the village centre and beaches than I would have liked (but still within a couple of minutes walking). That said, being up the hill the hotel gets good breezes which would be great in summer.
Excellent location. Quiet yet near train station. Small room but entirely adequate. Good spot for a night or two. OK breakfast. Downstairs toilet a bit primitive but served its purpose.
It was very friendly and intimate. The owners were very attentive and considerate to their guests.
very nice people good location
Close to town Petit breakfast was petit. Onl bread, butter and jam, coffe and tea.No ham, no cheese for 8 euro. I dont believe I saw the sea
Nice and clean room. Good location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Not the place for a one week seaside vacance. Air conditioning was very weak.
Normal to stay for 1 night! Bathroom is terribly bad!
good location, just off beach and close to restaurants on a small point the decor is a bit dated but still a good hotel
Service - particularly the generous gesture of the Manager presenting us with a gift case of three bottles of wine at the end of our stay there as consolation for my husband having food poisoning from eating something at a restaurant outside Bandol. Sadly being on top of bars/restaurants cooking smells some times permeated the hotel.
No major complaints really The breakfast was a bit shy, even if we did have it quite late in the morning
Location was excellent for our trip - only 5 mins walk to Stade Mayol to watch the rugby, and about the same to the harbour with its many restaurants. Rooms were spacious and very clean and tidy. Also represented good value for money. One member of staff on reception wasn't very welcoming when we arrived and seemed disinterested in checking us in.
nice room and good breakfast, conveniant location stuff - poor English. Despite I had reservation seems they didn't record it...now, with my poor knowledge of French and mentioned their poor knowledge of English you can imagine how it was. Luckily, I had my laptop with the confirmation.
Close to the centre, next to rugby ground as that was purpose of trip. Good size room, nice bathroom, close to front where plenty of restaurants and bars only a few minutes from markets and shops. Not easy to find as signs not at every junction or not easy to see. Breakfast a little basic. Bar service a little slow and ran out of drink. Probably did not expect so many people after the rugby.
Difficult to find. No correct signs from the parking to the hotel entrance.
Excellent location close to the marina and shopping, clean and comfortable bed, and good breakfast. I've stayed at close to 10 All Seasons and this one was the most in need of refurbishment with very outdated rooms (carpet, furniture, and fixtures).
Breakfast with great coffee espresso and croissants, good decoration, large room. Difficult to find, although we had a navigator system (GPS) with us. When we finally found it, I told it to the girl at the reception and her behaviour was not kind at all.Paying parking, not so good region of the hotel.
Close to everything, buses, port, shopping. found the pillows very uncomfortable, one not enough and two are too high....
Great location in the heart of the city. Located directly above the main shopping mall in Toulon, very convenient access for Carrefor grocery store, sports and electronics shopping. Nice to have WIFI, secure parking. Friendly and helpful staff.
Nice&friendly staff either at reception or in restaurant Breakfast is poor, one type of cheese,no eggs, charcuteries was only ham! Internet outlet at reception vvlimited only 1screen&10min.time!!!
good hotel for reasonable price, clean and comfortable with large parking spase, the breakfast costs 12 euros/person - rather expensive.
The room The food at the hotel restaurant and the hotel staff attitude at the reception. They didn't show being concerned about client satisfaction.
Big room We arived a little bit before the check in time.I Asked the receptionist whether they have our room ready.I Said that I understand that it is not check in time yet, but we arrived a long way with a 8 month baby and it would be very nice of her to check. The receptionist said that it is not check in time and did not bother to check. On 12 -voila!- All rooms suddenly are ready... Near highway-noisy
The lunch and dinner were very good, and very good value for money: the waiter was most obliging, choice varied and well cooked - we chose salmon and pork, plus salad landaise for lunch. The portions were generous and well balanced. Furniture needs to be updated. However, renovation was clearly underway. cf. point 2 above, the hotel is best suited for access to the congress centre and les Paluds light industrial zone.
Hotel new or just rennovated. it fits the purpose and with a good ration quality/price it was a bit chilly in the room. An extra blanket was recommended. The lights in the corridor didn't work. Few little details which may give a better impression of the hotel. Generally speaking still quite good
Free Wi-Fi in the room. Only on the first day we had fresh breakfast, second day bread was hard and seemed to be from the day before.
Easy access for a one night accomodation on the road of the French riviera. Quietness Smoking smell in the room
The nice swimming pool, the flexibility to addapt the menu for our little children The airconditioning was not sufficient and the garden is a mess
The room and bathroom was clean The location was in an industrial estate and there are no restuarants around for dinner and you cannot walk safely out at night. Very disappointed. Pool area was very average.
Excellent restaurant Small rooms
Very nice hotel, lovely decorated room with a modern barhroom (room 3 @ Rez-de-chaussée). Enough space for a baby cot. Close to the town center and the beach. Shower floor above the rest of the bathroom floor. Obviously the bathroom wet after 1 minute of showering.
Check-in consisted of me announcing who I was and us being taken to the room. No passport check; no credit card swipe; no signing anything. Fastest I've ever checked-in to any hotel ever! Room was small but perfectly clean and adequate for what we wanted. Hotel is 5 minutes walk from the centre of town and the beaches, although you get fit walking up the steep hill to the hotel. Friendly staff. 5 minutes walk from railway station. Nothing. Brilliant holiday.
Friendly, comfortable and very clean - in a lovely location.
Small, cosy hotel, easy to find thanks to good signs, friendly staff. Not far from city center.
Very clean, friendly staff, good location, good value, walking distance to the beach and the rest of the town. Cute dog. Staff don't speak any english at all.
Well located, friendly staff, clean. Excellent value for money. A bit difficult to find due to the one-way streets. Nothing else.
great atmosphere no fridge in the room
clean, quite, good location small toilets, small rooms
Very helpful and friendly staff (hotel owners, I guess), cosy hotel, good breakfast, several good restaurants for dinner in walking distance from the hotel. Perfect location for exploring Provence - no trafic jams, no big problems with parking, everything is not far if 100 - 200 km per day is not a problem to you. No problems with English, French would be an advantage, of course. There was a little bit noisy in the room from the street side in the evening, but this problem can be solved by closing the window.
It's close to a mini-supermaket what is good because of the lack of restaurant choices nearby the hotel Reception desk and parking closes at 20:00.
Very friendly staff. Speak English. Big rooms. The rooms are well isolated from the sound of the street nearby. Good restaurants nearby. No
- the position - the room was quite small
Friendly patron and his wife. Off road secure parking available for an extra fee. Decorated with colourful patchwork wall hangings made by a member of the patron's family. Good breakfast. No chairs or suitcase stand in the room. Limited hanging space for clothes and no chest of drawers. Bottles from cafe/bar tipped noisily into a bin at 5 o'clock in the morning.
Authentic hotel/inn in pleasant town Bed had seen better days
helpfull staff, can speak english, can point you in the right direction, where to go what to see, where you can eat.For me it is close to Mont San Victoire and great walking and cycling area. none that are worth a comment.
everything is good nothing
Beautiful outlook overlooking the cloisters. Excellent food. Rooms quite small & could do with rack for luggage but fine for overnight.
Fabulous location well converted, discrete service No option for simple breakfast, 12 Euros a lot if you only want coffee. WI Fi seems to be everywhere in France, prefer not to have it because of radiowaves
position in town size of rooms, lack of general lounge areas,no access to bar or availability to sit and enjoy tea or coffee until evening opening hours.Room felt rather cell like.Bathroom far too small.Staff disinterested.
Location Historic rooms extremely small. Furthermore, the rooms were incredibly hot, particularly in the night, fan not efficient enough to cool rooms.
The location, atmosphere, including in the remarkable historical dinning room. Just a fantastic experience. Puzzling that international news channels in English are not available on satellite TV (FTA) in 2007.
We liked the dining room. We had breakfast there to compensate with a nice environment from the disappointment about the room we got. We did not like the room. It wasn´t terrible but just not worth the money it cost at all. It also didn´t much at all the expectations the place arises it being such a nice building from the outside. They really need to spend some money on interiors.
13th century abdij very nice refurnished. Great atmosfeer.
Excellent staff, situation, ambience, atmosphere small windows, but after all, it WAS once a convent!
Loved the character and ambience. A great place for a relaxing weekend Cannot think of anything I disliked
The lady running the hotel was really friendly and profesional The location was not in walking distance from anything. The area it was in had nothing to do. Thought it was overpriced for the overall offering!
Located beside an extremely busy road and constant traffic throughout the day/night.
I liked the modern design, the location, and the luxurious bedrooms..
location, near the beach and the town center, and the quality of food in the restaurant+ service in beach restaurant and reception for a **** Hotel the infrastructure could be refitted, lift permanently out of order,
Location was good Finding it was difficult as we were looking for the name Thalazur, whereas the hotel is just called Ile Rousse. The private beach is very cramped. Bathroom was poor - shower did not even have a screen. Breakfast not value for money
excellent location, private beach, delicious breakfast on the terrace with a see view, friendly and helpful staff air-conditioning blowing right at your face when sleeping :/
It was easy, comfortable, we had our privacy, good breakfast and the view was amazing No.
Clean, professional staff, great location with great views from the rear. A little expensive
nice, comfy, cheap, clean, bright and airy, good price
We were four persons living in a triple room with one extra bed (camping bed). We got a renovated room with new AC + flatscreen TV and a nice view over the harbour with military ships & the bay. Perfect location (close to everything) & we could use the AC as a fridge (it was standing up...). We lived on the 4th floor and there was an old narrow staircase (no elevator). But that's France...;) But I read about some people living on the 6th floor...Puh...
Shocking hotel very basic and had some mold in the room not aceptable. the room had mold the stairs wasnt lit in the night.
I was clean and cheap No elevator
Handy to Railway Station and excellent value for money. Lack of air conditioning but due to price you would not really expect it.
The room has recently been redone, so everything was proper. The room was very large. There is no telephone in the rooms, but a TV. Having a TV is nice, but a telephone is more essential for me.
Comfortable stay, good breakfast Internet not included in the room rate
The hotel is located in a beatiful and calm area. We stayed 6 relaxing days walking along the sea shore, relaxing at the hotel swimming pool and at the local beach a few steps away from the hotel. Most of the days we had dinner in the hotel restaurant, no need to go far. We felt at home thanks to the very friendly staff. Certainly one of the hotels we marked to revisit. Highly recommended.
The landlady was very friendly and the view is breathtaking.
The place is very beautiful (nice swimming pool, not only on the photos). The staff competent and helps a lots if you ask. Nothing
My stay at l'Escapade Hotel was extremely comfortable and relaxing. The proprietor's were very welcoming and helpful.
The lady who runs the hotel was everso helpful. Even though we didnt speak much French and they didnt speak much English she was still really nice and friendly. She arranged lifts for us to and from the town etc. The food in the restaurant was amazing...the first time I have ever eaten Rabbit before. Nothing really. Was the perfect break away.
We spent a very nice time there......
short walk to the beach Internet access only available at the restaurant across the street.
