It had some charm and was very convenient with nice swings for the kids and a very useful car park.
Large room and comfortable bathroom.Clean. Comfortable bed. Extraordinary good and rich breakfest. Restaurant excellent! Very comfortable inner parking. I didnt like the" design" of the room /no style!/. The old, totally used carpet on the staircase should be immediatly changed - it really makes bad impression.
Great location beside lake. Very relaxing place. Pleasant towns nearby like Evron and others in Sarthe valley. Pool not good. Bedrooms not great and not value for money.
The area was good and there was a lovely lake to walk around. the hotel offered lots of activities, and we took advantage of the swin golf and the pool, although this was very cold!! The cold pool (not the 29 degrees it should have been, I'm sure!). The dirty carpet in the room (stains, not actual dirt) let the initial view of the room down.
Very pleasant location alongside a lake. Within easy reach of a number of attractive Brittany and Mayenne towns. Excellent restaurant with a good choice of menu and good wine list. Majority of staff spoke excellent English. Although described as a Relais de Silence we were very conscious of the noisy main road at the front of the hotel and had to keep the window shut at night to avoid disturbance. A very small room with limited storage space so not ideal for a long stay.
We liked the quiet, the lovely gardens behind the hotel, and the fine restaurant. All of the staff were very helpful. We liked everything about the hotel and would stay there again.
Very helpful reception staff. Well furnished bedroom with very good quality bedding and good bathroom facilities.
This is a real French hotel close to Le Mans and the motorway. We stayed for one night on the way home from a holiday in the South West and wished we could have stayed longer. The owner was charming and his english excellent. We arrived slightly later than planned but instantly were welcomed into a calming atmosphere even though the staff were serving dinner. We were not rushed into dinner in any way and were able to freshen up and have a walk around the well kept gardens before we ate. It is a gourmet restaurant - the food is high quality and therefore not cheap but there are set menus. The little extras i.e the canapes, the amuse bouches, the choice of bread, the petit fours all made the meal memorable.
We liked the charm of the old building and the care that was taken of the guests.
Fantastic french character, first class room, friendley staff and exceeded our expectations Nothing
Nice location.good resturant on site.
Easy to find. Car close to room. English tv. Opened at 5pm.
Large room.Clean. East Access. Difficult to find. Charged extra for single bed in room, when twin had been requested. Surly staff and long wait for food - over 1 hour.
The room was absolutely amazing, real 'wow' factor, so welcoming and furnished beautifully....then turn the corner and that magnificent bathroom and huge spa, all the little extra's supplied including fluffy white gown - just gorgeous! Coffee machine not working in breakfast area and then when it worked coffee very average. But everything else about this gorgeous place made up for that!
Peaceful Location, Staff in restaurant and reception excellent. Unable to check in until 1800 on day of arrival (Friday)
Very private, staff evident but not intrusive. Would be nice if guests could check in earlier than 5pm
Have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 5 years. It is always a good stay.
Friendly, helpful staff. Well organised.
inner room design
we were very happy with the service and helpfulness of the hotelier and his staff he also speaks very good english
Exceptionally warm welcome and excellent service. None
I chose Hotel Rounsin for its location - it's exactly halfway between England and the Dordogne which makes for a perfect 'stop-over' stay. Next time though, I'd be tempted to linger a little bit longer. The hotel is right in the centre of Bresnay; a lovely old town with a traditional French atmosphere. Also, the hotel is unusually friendly, with an owner who speaks excellent English. The food in the hotel was nice as well: a three-course meal is very good value - I'd recommend it!
Friendly and helpful owner who spoke English well and was welcoming to a party of 8, including children. Good value for money. Location very pretty and quiet with historic castle ruins and beautiful views of river Sarthe. (a village about 90 miles from Caen ferry port) Good evening meal and excellent breakfast of the best breads and pain au choculat we had in the whole holiday. Would certainly reccomend and return No! The owner has been there for three years and is restoring. Facilities may not be to everyones tastes but we loved it and it's "Frenchness".
Friendly staff with a good attitude Quite rustic and a little tired but charming with it - don't over expect and you will enjoy it.
Didier, the owner was very friendly and welcoming. The room was wonderful, the beds comfortable and the shower lovely. The food was also good.
friendly hosts no hairdryer in the bathroom
Very welcoming staff, very clean room altogether a very relaxing stay.
Large rooms, excellent reception and service. WiFi weak.
Fantastic value. Rooms spotlessly clean. A great stop over for our group of four adults & two babies.
very clean hotel in a pretty village location
After an "oh no" reaction on first seeing the building and a notice on the front door on a very hot afternoon saying back in 30 minutes once inside the room was excellent with all facilities including paper tissues! The Dinner was delicious served in a very pretty dining room but we passed on the petit dejouner as it was not buffet. Very quiet room at the back. Slightly squeeky floors above.
staff very nice and helpfull
