Breakfast was excellent and the room very comfortable.I also enjoyed a good swim in the pool.
The pool was only open from 12pm,which meant I couldn't go for a swim on my last day. There was also a barking dog in the garden of the house next door which disturbed my sleep.
great location. very rich breakfast
bathroom is pretty old. water are leaking from the bath
- Breakfast was excellent (large variety of items to select from during the continental breakfast) - Location is good - on the main boulevard in Sinaia. - We were offered free parking in the private garage on the property - staff was helpful and considerate
- although we were told that parking was available across the street for a charge, we did not find a spot there. We had to park 12 minutes away and then walk to the hotel. The hotel, then, offered to accomodate our car in their underground garage (we did not know there was a garage available) - the room was old and not in a very good condition (wallpaper was falling off on some corners, the couch in the living room was stained, the toilet seats made of really cheap plastic). - showering was a pain: water would come in sessions of cold and really hot (until I got to learn how to set it, I burnt myself several times). The workaround was to make pretty cold showers, with several moments of "warm" water - the bar only serves 3 cocktails (gin & tonic, aperol spritz and campari orange) - the elevators are old and, although they take you where you need, they do not seem trustworthy - there's no AC in the room. The room is, indeed, fitted with AC consoles, but there's just air coming through - no cold air. We had to sleep with the windows open - related to the previous item, sleeping with the window open is not a good solution: barking dogs and garbage collection in the morning makes for a pestering experience The items below are just a personal preference, but I believe it's worth mentioning them. Others may not be affected by this, so I won't necessarily hold these against the hotel: - the furniture is kinda kitsch-y - the hallways are kinda noisy - the mattress was comfortable overall, but seemed a bit too elastic - although we had a single bed, we were offered two small blankets, instead of a single large one
The location is good, but take into consideration the fact that it is a very small town and if a hotel is city centred it is close to everything by foot. So you can walk to Peles Castle, to Sinaia Monastary, to the park, cable, etc. The staff was ok, but we didn't have much interaction with them, we left in the morning and came back in the evening. I didn't use the spa or the pool so I can't say anything about them. The breakfast was great, one of the best I had.
Everything was old in the room and many furniture items were broken or deteriorated, same with bathroom items. The bed was ok for me, as I don't like hard matresses. But I didn't like the fact that it was poorly made. Like the sheet was all crooked underneath. I had to straighten it myself. The bathtub was leaking when used. We stayed only for 2 nights but noone entered to clean or make the bed. I wasn't expecting them to change the sheets or anything, but at least to make the bed, clean the floor and empty the trash. Everything is very kitchy. The bathrobe that they give you is old and you can tell it has been overwashed because it is not soft at all. I for one woudn't use it. It's kind of expensive for how the place looks, I had better locations with less money. The hotel isn't a 4 stars one as it pretends to be. Maybe 2 or 3 maximum.
Very good breakfast
The furniture need to be replaced.
