Nice size room, good bed. No orange juice at the breakfast, bathrooms are quite outdated/simple.
Great location near ferry. Flexible ckeck-in hours. Good breakfast. No internet in room.
Very comfortable beds, everything was nice and tidy.
It was convenient for the ferry. The staff were pleasant. The room looked ok to start with but once the pillow got warm it smelt unpleasant. The shower area was old, needed updating and was probably difficult to clean, hence the standard of that.
Located really close to the Fjordline terminal. Price too high for what is offered. Very basic motel: furniture and bathroom in need of repairs and upgrade. Simple breakfast.
Convenient for Ferry terminal and good value for a family of four. Buffet breakfast was good and the staff helpful. No tea or coffee making facilties in the room
Convenient to ferry boat, free parking Advanced infomation that we will be charged in 5% when paying with credit card, replace the curtain by a door in the family rooms, because there are two separated rooms one in the front of the other, with one door each other, which is a problem if you have small childreen you have no privacy because this curtain goes directly to the corridor
Clean and comfortable and good location near Ferry harbor. It looks like a pigs farmhouse on the outside en felt like an elderly home on the inside.
Very comfortable! Not very centrally located
Good location Expensive (as all hotels in Denmark seem to be!)
friendly and clean
Good service at the reception desk, spacious room and bathroom.
The employees are very helpfull and the place is very nice. I have no complain Thank you very much
Check in was prompt and room was ready with extra bed.
nice place by the sea but was very quiet, perhaps because of the low season
Very convenient nice hotel. booked it as they had free breakfast and free internet. Breakfast was apalling. And the evening meal was bad as well. Food
Nice and roomy hotel, good parking and friendly staff. Facilities outside (sun terrace) very good. The "panorama lounge" did have a some sort of view, but during dinner, the sun blinded most people and the curtains had to be closed! So not much of a view. In the restaurant, the service was good but many people were waiting a long time to be seated, and there was plenty of space, but they were severely understaffed.
No swimming pool.
Nice waterworld gave us as a family with kids a gret time. Almost impossible to get out... The cleaning during breakfast could be better, but the reason for not cleaning up the mess we saw could be lack of knowledge... :)
Kids room is useful. Now, the renovation of this hotel in front of the gate is going on and it seems to be bad. In addition, we cannot use a part of service due to renovation. However, we cannot get any compensate for it. I am sorry about this point.
I like the room very much. Loved the modern Danish design. Also, liked the closeness of the hotel to the town center. The excellent special breakfast that was prepared for us. They had made a mistake with what I would be paying for my room. Luckily I had my confirmation statement with me so they quickly adjusted the price downward. When I booked the room in April they said breakfast was served at 6:30 but when I got there they said it had changed to 7:00. After talking to the restaurant manager they prepared a special breakfast for my wife and I which was excellent.
Near from room to external restaurant. Good atmosphere. It would have been great if the personell had mentioned that the restaurant closed that early, so that we could have ordered some more wine before closing.
nice breakfast too expensive for the small and old room we received. its far from Skagen, but charge Skagen prices. Better to stay in Frederikshavn.
Location & free parking. Staff very helpfull with good english, the recently updated rooms are fitted to a very good standard. The open shared balcony was not to our liking
Great hotel. Perfect location. If you pay by credit card be prepared to pay 2 or 3% extra. The restaurant is very expensive, and also surcharges for paying by credit card.
the atmosphere was friendly and staff cheerful. Rooms was clean and the beds were comfortable.
Nice surroundings, quiet place, a place with charm. Not the most modern rooms in the world, but ok for the price.
the service the helpfulness of staff the beautiful rooms everything was just perfect no
Quiet and comfortable room with a peaceful athmosphere.Nice little "balcony" outside the room for reading and resting . Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast with everything you can imagine, (even waffles which you can fry yourself!)
we liked the location and the small village and we like the garden I did not like the dirty carpent and the smell in the room. The bed was terrible. I did not sleep because of the smell froom the bathroom. It was a terrible night
Hotel was close to work and interesting shopping and staff was very helpful and friendly. Shower curtain was too small.
The hotel is realy in a good place but it is very expenssive Yes. It was difficult to sleep because of the noises created by the cars along the road.
breakfast, hotel staff we arrived at 2 in the morning and it would have helped if the extra bed was already made so we didnt have to make the bed at this time.
The Hotel rooms were nice and comfy, and the breakfast spread was good as well! This Hotel used to be sas Radisson Jutlandia Hotel, but in the new year, it was bought out by a family business ( which is not bad I suppose), but however there is a 60dkr for Parking??? And if you don't have this ticket you get a hefty fine, so watch out! The other unimpressed issue is that they don't do Lunch (despite the Receptionist saying they do?), bbut there is plenty of bars and restauarnts at the back of teh hotel! Also the attitude of the waiter could have been better, and the value of the food also!
i don't have nothing to say wrong about the hotel only 1 thing i have to mention pls i saw pic from web site and the room find it different for the mony i had to paid. thanks
The service that Alex gave me was great, He really did help me with booking the ferry to Sweden. I was unsure what I needed to do and he fix all for me. Top work. I had a little street noise. But I was on the street side and I enjoy my window's open in summer.
Room was clean and nice, very helpful staff, great localization (near to the town center and to the harbour) The bathroom was very small
The treatmente received from part of staff.
It is nearby the ferry Frederikshavn - Göteborg. That is why we stayed their. Good hotel, nothing bad about. Own parking place so no problems with parking.
Out of our approx 15 stays at different hotels throughout Europe this summer, this was the worst service of them all. I had booked a "double/twin room", which by international standards means that I have paid for either two single beds or a double bed. When I arrive the receptionist sends me to a room with two single beds (which is less than expected when you're on a honeymoon), then asks me for DKK 25 extra to be "upgraded" to a room with a double bed. After much back and forth I pay the amount and we go to the room. It's not about the money, it's the principle and lack of service and understanding of the situation. Stay away from this hotel if you expect any form of service!
We felt that we were important. Thank you!
Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast
decent mattress rooms are very small and oldfashioned
Small rooms, tiny bathroom. No social place in the evening. No bar. A typical place for people who are truly religious. Friendly staff and management. Tiny bathroom.
The view over the sea. The atmosphere, the breakfast room.
The only good thing about this hotel is that it is close to the Colorline ferry to go from Hirtshals to Kristiansand Friendlyness of staff, room accommodation and overall cleanliness were poor
Comfortable beds. Quick access to the ferry terminal. Hotel was old and rundown. Rooms have a very bad setup. Low value for money.
Comfortable bed It really needs a refurbishment
good breakfast, comfortable room, very good if going by boat to Norway.
The hotel staff were helpful and approachable. Our view was looking out towards the sea and the fishingboats - very nice. The high ceiling and window at the top gave a feeling of space and light - very Nordic. The "Kro" besides the hotel was very cosy and served a very good oven-baked halibut that is definitely recommended. Although the rooms were nice in terms of design and layout, the hotel and bathroom in particular would need some refurbishment and modernisation.
the cleanliness of the Hotel was excellent. The staff were very polite and extremely helpful and friendly.
Free parking space for car. I got a big flat with two rooms. Kitchen/restaurant nearby. Early breakfast.
the location was exelent and the staff was great. The hotel need a makeover. Our backs hurt from the beds and everything was very worn down.
The tv didnt work, the shower went cold almost immediately, the water went straight thru the sink into a bucket and onto the floor, there was a band playing outside the room untill 2400 hours.the breakfast was the worst ive had..i have lived and travelled in denmark fo the last 12 years...this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
Quiet location, easy to reach, 15 minutes walk to the sea, 10 minutes drive to the Ferries, free car-parking at hotel entrance, clean, good beds, nice breakfast, very kind and helpfull landlady. We were very satisfied with the hotel, but don't expect luxury, rooms are modest; walls are thin so noises from the corridor and neighbours can be heard.

Lovely staff - couldn't do enough to make the Guests welcome.
A pleasant surprise. Good value for money. Family owned, very friendly staff made us feel welcome. Not luxury by any means, but clean rooms, a charming garden area, internet access, and 10 minutes walk to the beach. Would gladly come back here.
They charged 5% extra when paying with credit card!!! Should be mentioned on your site.
Good atmosphere, good food and friendly sraff sound insulation between rooms not quite up to modern standard. But acceptable considering price
friendly helpful staff, quiet location easy drive to norway ferry cracked handbasin
A nice and quired hotel close to the ferry Stena Line.No noise at night. The hotel situated near the city centre close to shops and restaurants. Good parking for my car. I liked the breakfast.
Indifferent service at breakfast. Not the quality of hotel I expected Superior single room was a broom cupboard. Hotel needs renovating. 5% supplement for credit card paymentssupplement
Certainly a place to recommend for the warm hospitality.
The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean, a nice place to stay 5% extra when paying by credit card...
Excellent location, walkable distance to shops and eateries. Secluded parking for car was a bonus. Rooms were pleasant, and staff very friendly. Would recommend it highly, especially if you are getting the ferry. Although the road outside carries little traffic, we were woken before 6am by a few noisy lorries. Our mother, who had a back room, heard nothing, however.
It was filthy, noisy, and was charged extra for using my credit card. Would never recommend this to anyone!!
Central in town. close to pubs, restaurants and shops.
Good parking Uninterested staff, poor breakfast
We needed to catch the ferry to Norway early in the morning so we can late and left early. The hotel was suitable for our use. Would have been nice with an early bird breakfast.
Car Park on site. Room was very 'tired'. Lightbulbs not all working. Level of maintenance poor. Floorboards very creaky. Bathroom very tired / no soap/shampoo / poor fittings / placement of fittings. Very dark. Airless room. Noisy situation - all night party in the building across the street, still in full swing when we left at 05:45 the next morning.
Looks good from outside! Room standard below average
Staff very helpfull Very dirty rooms, very dirty furniture and very old, tailes missing in bathroom, it is a shame to call that palce a Hotel , we had booked 2 rooms and both rooms are in very bad conditions
The staff was very pleasant and the windows had good sound proofing. Lacked curtains to keep out the midsummer early morning sun. Bathroom needs remodelling. Really poor extra bed for our child. Breakfast could have been better.
Short drive from Hirtshals. Ok place to spend the night.
the pool and spa facilities were very good I would have liked to have coffee/tea making facilities in the room. Also the coffee at breakfast tasted like cheap instant - not a good start to the day.
Adequate with comfortable bed and pretty sea view from room. The bedrooms, and corridors leading to them, now look tired and overdue for re-furbishment. It would appear that much money and effort has been spent upon the excellent swimming and spa facilities, sadly leaving the bedroom accommodation far behind with facilities fixtures and fittings needing urgent replacement. Also, entry to Spa costs an additional £15 sterling per person.
We, I and seven members of my family aged 10 to 75, agreed on the high quality and variety of the breakfast. The rooms were clean. Having a glass door between the bedroom and the bathroom turned out to be a bad idea, because one occupant would wake up the other when using the facility during the night.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was typical of Scandenavian hotels and had a varied selection of fruit, cheese, breads and cold meats, in addition to cerials. The wireless internet connection has secured networks, 1 per floor and only one unsecured network. The secured networks blocked vpn traffic, which means if on business and looking to get a vpn connection to your work network, you have to use the unsecured network. This has poor coverage in certain parts of the hotel (noticebly on the 3rd floor where I stayed).
Bed was very comfortable, loved shower head, good breakfast and great location for ferry.
The hotel was close to the port - very good for an overnight stay. We were disappointed to have to eat in the bar, rather than a restaurant.
Nice location for shopping. Very nice Empire bar at the bottom. My room for a couple was very small. The bathroom crystal door is not appropiate. Room was found one day open after cleaning. Free internet was not working properly. Weekend breakfast was full of people, it was ok during the week.
We have being there 3 times and all the time we felt very quiet and relaxed. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. Also the Hotel is situated just the heart of the town so it is was very convenient for us. Our last stay at the hotel was 18th,19th and 20th of August. The room was given to us was very inconvenient. The room was very small and by the side of the road it was noisy during the night there was many vehicles passing by. We could not get sleep. But when I informed to the reception staff immediately we were given a another room on the other side of side and that was perfect. We were very happy and the rest of our stay was very pleasant. Thank you for the staff at the reception.
Staff very helpful and it is in a very good location for shopping and for the dana cup tournament We paid for the parking and once there was no parking space available and we had to park in the street and when we asked for refund the receptionist said that we weren't entitled to it.The door of the bathroom in the family room is too transparent and therefore unadequate.
it was the best 3* hotel I've stayed in Denmark absence of even a shower cubicle, only a slot in the floor - incredible for a hotel of 3* level plus
Well located in the city center, with its own parking lot. We stayed from Friday to Monday 3 nights. Our room was drectly above the hotel bar, and we had loud music on both Friday and Saturday evening. Even when the stopped, the noise continued from the bar guest talking, laughing, singing and shouting. It only became quiet around 4 am. Another issue is the semitransparent glass bathroom door, one does not have privacy while using the toilet or taking a shower. The breakfast buffet is rather poor for a hotel that presents itself as a 4 star hotel. The buffet was chaotic displayed, some items were hard to find, and there where no warm items like sausages or omelets.
Family atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Lots for kids to do and close to the highway.
very nice playing area for children and fast internet. I also liked the flat like rooms, where everybody has own front door.
Easy to find and at a very good place when you are sailing from Frederikshavn. It needs some air condition, it's was none in the room
The staff are so friendly. The restaurant have good food, reasonable price and you gets more than the amount of food you'll be expecting. The price for the room is expensive compared to others we have stayed in.
Room is 1970-80 stylish, but ok and clean. Breakfast lacks tomatoes, cucumber and fruits otherwise ok, but overall I probably will not comeback because I don't stay at hotels very often and when I do I like something extra At night it was hot, but it's ofcourse summer
Nice and welcoming staff. Very good for kids with a large garden with a playground.
The friendly staff and clean room. Excellent breakfast service
The dining room is spacious and clean. You can park your car right in front of your room. Free internet access. Nice breakfast, even though they could offer more variety. There's a spacious playground for children, which is nice considering that you cannot do anything inside the tiny room. It's a motel-like hotel located behind a gas station, but the price they charged is for a 4-star hotel, which it isn't by any stretch of imagination. The room is old but clean, but the price was way too high, and this ultimately made us feel we were ripped off, sorry to say. There were bycicles to be borrowed for free, courtesy of the municipality, it seems, but we had to find out when we saw them parked outside near the playground, as the hotel staff did not make any effort to letting us know beforehand. Also, at check-in the first thing we were asked for was if we were going to pay now. Not the nicest thing to say to a guest arriving.
