Located in Antwerp, Bed and Breakfast Exterlaer is a 3-minute drive from Stampe and Vertongen Museum and 6 minutes from Wijnegem Shopping Center. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really love this bed&breakfast. The place, the location, the room was great, clean and comfortable. The garden can make me feel really relax during breakfast. The balcony from the bedroom is nice. I could see the beautiful sunrise sky from my bed. Love it. The owner are really nice and friendly. They help giving information i needed. Breakfast was nice. Ps. The cat is cute also.
Cons: Only thing that i don’t feel comfortable is they don’t have the door to completely seperate the bedroom part and bathroom part in my room. That’s it.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully restored house in a quiet residential area. Friendly owners. Nice breakfast with high quality ingredients. We did not sit in the garden as it was too cold outside but in summer it must be a lovely spot to have breakfast.
Cons: Minor comments: parking is for free but it might take some time to find a parking spot as it is located in a residential area. Curtains do not obscure the room completely so you wake up at sunrise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent place, our second stay in this B&B was again superb. Quiet room, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast of off course a very warm and helpful welcome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Decoration, hospitality, lication
Cons: Everyting! Complete perfection!!! And fantastic decoration & style, designed by the very talented host himself, perfect breakfast, beautiful garden, one of the greatest hospitality experience and close to the biggest natural swimming pond in Belgium, the Sportpaleis, the Riverenhof and the centre of Antwerp. I am a fan!!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners ,who live in the the adjacent townhouse , were gracious and informative. They are artists who beautifully restored ed and furnished the property. The Exterlaer perfectly met our locational needs, and met our it "charm standard" . It is located in an early twentieth century neighborhhod with a diversity of architecture. Free parking was available about a block away.Parking in Central Antwerp is expensive and restricted. A tram, however is located a half block away ,and it provides easy access to Central Antwerp as well as the Osli Coglei (sp?) art nouveau district, Antwerpen is an overlooked city,
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owners were very helpful, made us feel very welcome. The bed was very comfy, the room was lovely. The breakfast in the morning was superb.
Cons: I had a problem with opening the front door with the code. The problem was not with the code itself but turning the knob of the door in the right direction.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house and decor are very attractive and the rooms expansive. The location is close to the city centre easily accessible by No 9 tram. There is an excellent restaurant nearby. The continental breakfast is very comprehensive and tasty catering for all tastes. Daniel and Linda are truly wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble and they are very knowledgeable with reference to the local area and the city. If I should need to stay in Antwerp again then undoubtedly it would be here!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I think Bed & Breakfast Exterlaer is a guest house rather than a hotel. I would say that it is really cozy and welcoming. Interior inside is basically a home. There is even a cat that will come to say hello at a breakfast! The hotel is located in a quiet and nice area and there is a park nearby. There is a tram line No.9 that will take you to the center of the city in 15 minutes. The hosts attitude is very pleasant. In the beginning I was maybe a little bit confused by the attention from the hosts (that you normally don't get at hotels), but then I got used to it and realized that it is actually a hospitality. The only thing I could point out is that the house has wooden floors inside and when people walk and talk in the staircase one can hear it from the room. But this was not really a problem for me.

Cons: Only minor downside was that I expected full cooking facilities as it was an apartment, however there were so many great restaurants and cafe within a few minutes walk, turned out I wouldn't have needed a full kitchen afterall :)

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The style. The large rooms. Huge shower.
Cons: There was a large low ceiling beam on which it was too easy to hit one’s head. In spite of being aware of this, we both managed to do so.
6.3 Good
Pros: Very stylish hotel in the hart of the City. Hard to get there by taxi.
Cons: Glass door in the bathroom….. it is transparent…. so You can not see it. My husband was rushing to a toalet and did not see that the door was closed… so he crashed himself into the glass. A lot of blood and big headace...was the result of this crash… so it ruined our vacation a little bit… Also , be aware that the hotel situated in the middle of pedastrian area so its impossible to get there near by taxi….
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The fireplace in the room makes for an incredibly romantic setting in an already beautiful atmosphere you get with the Gulde Schoen’s suites. Very helpful and attentive staff.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: - staff - design - location Overall great experience!
Cons: - No master light switch, you had to get out of bed to switch the light off at the entrance. - DND sign is downstairs, quite annoying if you want to change status
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Very stylish interior. Very quiet rooms. Fantastic bed. Helpful staff.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner really makes you feel welcome, the beds are good, in the neighborhood are a lot of nice restaurants and the eggs at breakfast are yummie!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The owner/manager of the building greeted me with a fantastic welcome and always referred to me by my first name whenever he saw me throughout and made check in as quick as possible. Before I even went to my room I was told I was upgraded to a bigger room and given some delightful tips and places to eat around the local area. Usually I stay in the Centre and although I was just slightly further out then normal I was in the museum area with some hip and trendy places to eat and it was close to walk or catch a tram. The room was good and decorated well and to a high standard with great broadband and good bathroom facilities and brilliant samples from Rituals. The shower was strong and the room had great A/C. I couldn’t hear a thing when I went to bed (although it was a full hotel) and had an enjoyable few days. There was an honesty bar packed full of wonderful refreshments and a very clear system on how to use. On checkout I was given a cheerful goodbye and a discount voucher to use again.
Cons: I was very pleased the room was automatically upgraded and delighted with the room set up but perhaps a double bed rather than two singles together would have been better as I could feel the slight gap between the beds when I was in the middle and a little nervous the two beds would separate during the night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the best place to stay in the business trip!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast expensive but very nice Rooms lovely Very friendly

Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel Julien places you in the heart of Antwerp, within a 5-minute walk of Cathedral of Our Lady and Antwerp Market Square. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful oasis in the middle of bustling Antwerp. It’s a great place to stay if you want some quiet whilst still “in the heart of it”. The rooms are charmingly appointed and you may not want to go outside!
Cons: I would just flag that we went for breakfast on Sunday and the hotel had admitted non-guests for breakfast too, which led to there being no proper service for us as guests which was disappointing. No service (no coffee offered no hot food). Staff were not overly bothered by our complaint either. It’s a relatively small issue with an otherwise impeccable hotel - please carry on being fabulous!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere of simple luxury and the great team of employees.
Cons: NA
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel with very nice common areas - good bar and work area. Spa was impressive but not cheap.
Cons: All was good. Would be nice if there was a bigger discount on the Spa for hotel guests...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Julien embodies the best of 21st century Antwerp. It is a gentle lesson in the art of good living. The building’s natural virtues have been sympathetically and expertly anointed by Van Duysen’s modernist language. It is comfortable, informal, and elegant. The staff are helpful, but not intrusive. Nothing is a problem, equally nothing is too much trouble. A joy.

Pros: Swimming pool was suprising. very good breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Manager, Ann, is a great lady of charm and energy - she loves to help and to serve her guests, and so does everyone that works there. The property is also a working fruit farm - apples and pears -. Fresh eggs - chickens on property. Lovely made to order eggs and meat with lovely fruits, jams, cheeses, and breads in the buffet. Lots of fresh coffee and teas. You can have a relaxing breakfast looking out over the flowers, or eat and go, as you prefer. There are wines and beers on offer, and a TV in the open- plan lounge where you can enjoy a rest, or watch a game. Books and games for all ages are there to enjoy as well. Ann said to me the first hour "Make yourself at home!". This was easy ! The rooms are enquire, modern, with TV, very comfortable beds, tea/coffee caddy. You may like to walk around the farm, rent a bike, or just relax by the pool with sauna on the roof. Small bar and grill with picnic table up there too. The conference room is available for bookings, is light, and faces the gardens. Amazing, comfortable, beautiful B&B in St Gillis-Waas Belgium. !! B&B Fruitoff Tak is more than you expect and beyond your fondest expectations !
Cons: Everything and everyone was great. My room was close to the office and the kitchen, so sometimes I heard voices or people passing in the hallway. But not bad at all, people were very respectful.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really enjoyed our 3-night stay at Hotel de Witte Lelie. The decor was beautiful, we loved the different themed rooms, beautiful textures and creative furnishing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, accommodating all our requests and making our stay very comfortable and superbly enjoyable! Breakfast had a good selection of good quality, healthy items (and not so healthy, your pick!). The hotel was quiet and located very conveniently with short walk to many good restaurants and best shopping in Antwerp, as well as the museums. Really enjoyed the non-hotel vibe ie only doorbell entry, no public access made it feel more like a home rather than a transit point. Would definitely stay again during our next visit!
Cons: Would have been nice to have fitness facilities, but for a short stay this wasn’t a big deal as all other amenities made up for its absence. I might also struggle ever having breakfast without candles and a fireplace...

The staff are very helpful and well acknowledged. The bar is a place to be in Antwerp even for those who doesn't stay at the hotel it's such a beautiful bar and the Michelin starred restaurant is one of the best in the town.
Cons: Nothing to mention
6.0 Good
Pros: The building is beautiful and it is very well situated.
Cons: The room was very small. And I found the breakfast really odd: one had to order one of the two breakfast menus, both limited and overpriced. If you wanted and yoghurt and fruit you had to order a menu with a glass of bubbly, otherwise it was only bread and cold cuts. The breakfast was served at the table by a well dressed and very kind waiter but it all felt so very posh.

Pros: Beautiful meticulous beaux arte mansion converted into b&b. Family owned by distinguished gentleman Renee & his dachshund Geoff. Artwork, stained glass, ironwork detail is exquisite. Room is no frills yet all the comforts including robes and bathroom amenities. Delicious elegant European breakfast included.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful family run small hotel with a lot of taste, charm and individuality. It is situated in an Art Deco building. When you enter you feel an old world hospitality there, you meet the owners of the old school of hoteliers who care for you. Staff are helpful, served breakfast had everything one could desire, was delicious and everything was freshly prepared and of a high quality. Room was well appointed, beds were comfortable. The hotel is close enough to public transport to get into medieval Antwerp in about 10 minutes on the tram No 7.
Cons: Nothing related to the hotel itself. There was a small issue about reservation through booking.com which had been already paid but did not show in the system of the hotel, so I had to pay twice. The price was later refunded to me by booking.com.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel have both personalities, charm and wonderful owners. If you should have good, memorable traditional stay in a hotel Antwerpen. Then you should book this hotel. M

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was exceptional with fresh, home-made goods every morning. The bed was extremely comfortable The fluffy bathrobes were really nice to wear after a bath. The decoration of the bedroom and the whole house was beautiful and very original, much nicer than a hotel with no personality. Karine was very welcoming
Cons: No hooks in the bathroom to hang up clothes or towels
7.5 Good
Pros: Delicious breakfast. A gorgeous setting and very tastefully kept- balancing Mother Nature with shabby chic just perfectly.
Cons: Better bedroom tea facilities.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast, but a bit expensive. Nice and quiet location of the property.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good but a bit pricey. The estate looks pretty and is well taken care of.
Cons: We booked a chalet through booking.com but only after arriving, the owner redirected our booking to a regular room. This either should've been communicated earlier or not done at all.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Attractive timber cabin alongside lovely garden area. Very friendly owner who provided an early breakfast as we were leaving early for a wedding.
Cons: No complaints
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: There were a lot of misquotes and very dark at night to walk outside. There is no place to order food or anything in the area. It is located in the middle of no where. There is animal waste everywhere. Also please be clear it says bed and breakfast but after they serve you breakfast they tell you when ypu are leaving you habe to pay 20euro per a person for breakfast. Wifi is not great and only works in the room. For what you pay stay i would recommend staying at a real hotel. Bedsheets dont get changed and list can go on. Dont recommend this place at all or will i ever go back.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service! Beautiful and a very clean room! Fantastic bed!
Cons: Would be good to have a shower cabin. There is a bathtub so it is not possible to take a shower while standing.

7.9 Good
Pros: The ambiance and warm welcome of the family!
Cons: As the room was on the first floor, near the "parking", there was little sound now and then (also next to the break preparation in the morning) It was not a problem for me! But well to mention
