Impressive building/almost brand new so very good condition/quiet and restful A little soulless/rather american in format
extremely friendly and helpful staff. we arrived late in the evening and the lady at the reception was kind enough to recommend us an open restaurant nearby (carpe diem) with excellent food and called there to make sure they would not close down prior to us arriving there. nice and clean rooms with high ceilings and a lot of air. nice window views in all four directions. a spacious free parking lot. free broadest band wireless internet inside! breakfast buffet had somewhat limited choice of veggies, but as for the rest - very fresh and tasty. my single room was a real bargain at 63 euro/night! i absolutely recommend this wonderful hotel! first, i wanted to give this hotel's location a 'good' instead of 'excellent' mark, but on a second thought i must admit st.laureins is indeed a very travellers' friendly location for both belgium and nl destinations in this area. summary: there was nothing i did not like about the hotel.
Luxourious, very clean hotel and top professional stuff.
No " peep hole " in door to view who is at the door. A problem if you are traveliing alone.
I never had such a high value for money. A part of the old Monastry has been refurbished into a very nice designed hotel.
Spacious and comfortable bedroom and bathroom, very attentive hotel and restaurant stuff. Good variety of choices for the breakfast
Friendly, relaxed, clean and what counts the most: professional. A big thank-you for the excellent breakfast buffet.
Beautiful rooom nothing
the hotel location is very good. Praking is big. Rooms are very confortable and celan. The wellnes center schoud be ready also in September - not just in winter time.
very good breakfast, the sound-proofing of rooms is wonderful (we can't even hear the noise of ventilation in the bathroom), very comfortable beds
A beautiful hotel which was very comfortable. We didn't eat in the hotel but had drinks in the bar a couple of times which was very pleasant. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. The pool complex was beautiful and relaxing, the only complaint would be the pool could have been made a little bigger. Saying this there were never many people there so it was not really a problem. The hotel is very central and the shops and attractions are nearby. We would recommend a canal boat trip.
location, staff were great yes, the toiletries we seen on the maids trolley were alot nicer then the ones we were given in our room , why ?
Cleanliness, size of the rooms and the style of the rooms The room service menu wasnt the greatest and the shower water varied from scolding to ice cold, unable to find a constant temp.
the location, staff, and services. the TV channels, no enough English and Arabic channels
Frinedly efficient service, excellent breakfast, great location
Service from front desk staff is excellent and friendly. Rooms are large and very comfortable, with separate tub and large stand-up shower. You will sleep very well here! Lots of amenities but we didn't try them as we were only there for 2 nights. Good location, about a 5 minute walk to the Markt square.
The professional staff and luxurious surroundings made our stay very comfortable. The underground car park was quite expensive at Euro 30/day and did not have a lift into the hotel.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful hotel. We brought two of our children that were allowed to stay in our room and the hotel decided to give us an upgrade to a suite. This is what hospitality should read like in the dictionary.
The hotel is beautiful. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. They really give the impression that they want you stay to be perfect, and they will do all they can to make it so.
Very central and quiet. No real complaints
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
You couldn't ask for a better, more convenient location Parking is ridiculously expensive; the layout of the 700-wing of the hotel is ludicrously confusing; the room is small for the price you pay, and the bathroom is tiny.
Hotel is right at the centre of town, excellent quiet room, really good breakfast in lovely dining room, other commenters suggested breakfast is expensive , it is not cheap but for full breakfast is no more expensive than other places in town. Basement garage is expensive but secure, awkward to get into from the narrow entry road but worth the expense.
It was a pleasant, comfortable hotel, very central and convenient with tasteful luxurious decor.
Brilliant location, rooms nice and warm, very clean. On the second day we got up late and their was no hot water for the shower, bed wasnt that comfortable.
excellent location, very well kept, staff are exceptional can be a bit noisey
Very close to the main square. Priced appropriately and within walking distance to most points of interest.
such a comfortable and warm hotel. I would definitely stay here again (especially if we are given any discount for future stays!)
Location and standard of accomodation
Good sized room, great location, wifi was solid too Rooms a bit outdated and cheaper. Could've used more amenities.
I have stayed at this hotel before and the location, ambience and value for money is the big attraction. The breakfast is excellent with many english favourites alongside the continental selection. Nothing
Location was perfect for exploring the area. Staff were extremely friendly and helpfull and Hotel in general was spot on. For a short stay it's well worth a look and could not be faulted Breakfast was a little pricey
Ample space, chocolate, friendly staff, bathtub, comfortable beds, decor, great location in the city, attractive and modern
I got the room for $75/night from the usual $150-200 since it was Monday during the low season. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station and right by the Lake of Love. All major attractions are within an easy 10 minute walk. The wi-fi is terrible. I constantly had one bar (instead of 4) on my iPhone, which made everything extremely slow and unstable. Major frustration.
Very nice staff at the recption and also flexible to our needs. Also nice hotel. Nothing at all.
Very friendly staff. Very helpful. Good eating places right next to the hotel .
Staff is very friendly and welcoming Room is quite spacious and comfortable Breakfast is not bad Location is convenient -3-10 minutes walking from main attractions We got room on the first floor and it was a bit noisy, I beleivesecond floor would be better
the excellent hospitality of the staff the television in room 302 was not working properly
Great value and superb location
Location was excellent for sightseeing in Bruges. Breakfast was really nice. Big variety and good quality. Internet connection in the room was not very good.
The room was modern, clean and with all the facilities required for a short break. The hotel provided a nice breakfast and the hotel location made it easy to walk to numerous fine restaurants in the evening
The location is perfect and the staff is nice. There is only free internet in the lobby
Freindly and pleasent staff, who were most helpful on all matters.
*Excellent* location. Very close to the train station and to the center of the city, but insulated from craziness off a lovely little street leading into a beautiful park. Really a wonderful area. I know this is relatively typical for a European hotel, but the room was tiny. The bed was so narrow I had flashbacks to college. Wonderful bathtub, good thick quiet walls, but just a tiny little room. It's a great place to stay, but I have trouble reconciling $136 with the lack of space in that room.
Large comfortable room. Amazing breakfast. Service 1st class No coffee making facilities in the room.
Big room and nice bed by Western European standards. The king was a single mattress and not two twin beds pushed together like many hotels in the region. Excellent location, easy walk to all the best places. The staff was helpful and accommodating.
Excellent location. very helpful staff, quiet good-sized room. Old building tastefully decorated. The coffee machine didn't work, and remained unfixed during our stay. However, it was Easter weekend, so this can be excused. Smell of sewage inside room, even when window was closed. Bathroom dirty. Expensive for the price (Easter weekend).
Lovely room, nice pool, friendly staff Heavy snow, but not much they could do! Shame we could only get 1 of the 2 nights there.
The location was great, the staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean, comfortable and well appointed. Short walk from the train station - don't bother with a cab. Easy walk to the main square.
The location of the hotel was near to a main car park and restaurants and the christmas market was only 5 mins away
fantastic breakfast and good facilities quite expensive and teh 'hamam' was just a small steam room
Good location, good size rooms and a balcony which was not expected. Overall great experience Dated rooms and hotel
Hotel close to city centre, carpark park across road, hotel staff could not do enough for you if you asked everything very good. nothing
Location was perfect Rooms were brilliant however corridors coulddo with upgrading
we found the hotel bar very cosy and the bar manager very friendly, also the food in the retaurant was excellent and the waiter was also very friendly. nothing
Frendliness of staff and quality of hotel food and amenities. Close to market and shops etc. No
I thought the hotel was good value for money, not too far from the centre of the town. In a town as small as Bruges it was ideal to be able to park the car at the hotel during our stay. did not get good directions on how to get there, better information would have stopped me driving in circles for 3/4 hour looking for the hotel
close proximity to centre of town and good breakfasts provided
ample and comfortable room, good location, excellent breakfast the swimming pool was broken: we were told that it would have been fixed the day after our arrival but it hadn't all over our stay (six days) at the hotel
good friendly hotel. clean decor @ welcoming atmosphere a bit off the beaten track. no dining facilities
Location. Breakfast Room was too small. And too hot. No A /C
Nice room, nice and warm bar with exellent beers made in Bruges and around, very kind staff, located in the heart of a beatifull picturesque romantique town.
Booked a double room did not realise you needed to specifly if you wanted a double bed or two singles. We got two singles pushed together. As they where fully booked we where unable to move. Only a minor point , just put in the notes when you book
towels too small! towels too small My room was over the pond in the gardena nd I left window open and I got bitten by the mosquitos ( or whatever) - quite badly on the first night -
Frindly and helpful staff no
Central location, clean accommodation, good breakfast & friendly staff. Whilst we had no complaints about this hotel we did wonder how it had 4 star rating when it had very basic facilities and no restaurant.
Great size rooms and large comfy beds. Also it is within easy walking distance to all attractions and car parking available on site.
Cleanliness, Staff polite, pleasant and efficient
The hotel was spotlessly clean and there was a good choice for breakfast. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The pool and sauna were ideal for relaxing after a day's sightseeing and the hotel was centrally located only 2 minutes from market square.
The location was excellent and the availability of parking was a real plus. Ability to check in early on arrival day was also a plus. Staff at reception were very helpful, and knowledgeable. Swimming pool was too cold - to the point of not being usable. This is a pretty big negative as the pool was a main reason to book this hotel. Breakfast was ok but not great. Bar was a little impersonal. Decor around common areas of hotel was bland and lifeless.
breakfast no bacon
Very friendly and helpful staff, would recommend the hotel to other people.Would like to stay there in the future.
The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The location was central. The breakfasts were very good - nice choices. No.
perfect location, excellent breakfast
Very friendly reception and helpful. Good location, comfortable rooms and safe parking for our car without the hassle of feeding machines.
Excellent hotel - pleasant, helpful staff and clean, well presented room. Briiliant location near the main square.
Quiet, but only 5 minutes from "the centre". Wonderful breakfast, charming oldie world feel. Staff at reception very helpful. Only thing missing was the in room tea/coffee facilities.
The Garden view room gave us a very comfortable night in peaceful surroundings.
The hotel staff was excellent and ensured our stay had no problems.
Drinking in the bar on return to the hotel late evening - informed conversation from staff Paid parking offered was too far from hotel
A beautiful hotel, well decorated and adorned with antiques that gave it that period feel. The position was also perfect, adjacent to the main Squares and on the bank of the canal, not to mention some very nice bars on all sides! The canal view rooms are worth the extra and the breakfast first class.
convience and lovely cosi atmosphere welcoming staff
Central location, super spacious room and prompt service Nothing to not like at all!!
The lovely history and decor and surroundings and comfortable room within easy walking distance to the main area of town Nothing!
Location and facilities were wonderful. Hotel on a canal with small square nearby with cafes. Very convenient to Markt Square. Hotel has Old World charm. Delphine at front desk was very helpful. Definitely would stay there again. Our room was quite small - #24- with a small window and not much light. The tub/shower did not have a shower shield on it.
We loved the character of this hotel, and the friendliness of the staff. it was in a quiet location, but still close to everything. it was very special.
nice area, close to centre, private parking (but not free). no value for money. The hotel looks like it could use some renovations. Bathroom not clean. Breakfast buffet poor, no value for money.
Nice hotel - good location.- this was a return visit so I liked it enough to stay again No Tea or Coffee in rooms - really lets the place down
Everything. It is a charming hotel, conveniently situated for the centre. Not a thing.
Room extremely comfortable with good facilities. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. Nothing
The hotel was convenient (not easy to find because of area construction - not because of location); the staff was friendly, helpful, knowlegdable about the area. Our room was clean with a nice view. They had a wonderful complementary breakfast. Delicious and plentiful!
Great location next to a picturesque canal, near center of old town. No.
Loved the breakfast room in the basement of the building, the view from our bedroom window of the canal was beautiful and the situation of the hotel was peaceful. No tea-making facilities
Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely warm clean room with canal view and comfortable bed. Good breakfast and easy 5 minute walk to main square. No shower but otherwise lovely bathroom.
The hotel is located within a short walking distance from the centre - garage facilites are available with guidance from the hotel staff (use of a nearby hospital car park). The ambience of the hotel was fantastic. No
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The hotel is beautiful - on the canal and full of character. The rooms are a good size and it is very well located. The only negative is that this hotel does not have a lift and there are lots of stairs, so not ideal for taking infants to (although they kindly stored the pushchair in a cupboard downstairs for us) or for anyone who struggles with stairs.
Large comfortable room and quiet location in mostly residential area in easy walking distance of all the locations we wanted to visit. Easy to find the hotel, and the bus stop is just a short walk away on route that goes directly to town centre and station. Helpful welcoming staff, available 24 hours, all speaking excellent English. Also in a lovely position on the canal, with breakfast in the cellar with swans and ducks peeping in the windows! Minor irritation that there was no shower - only mixer tap with shower attachment that could not be used on the wall.
Well placed location near to the city centre, helpful staff, nice room and fair value for money. Tea and coffee were available in the lounge during the day but it would have helped to have this explained on arrival as there were no facilities for making hot drinks in the bedroom.
very good location, pleasant and helpful staff. very clean and bright rooms.would recommend thankyou for a very pleasant stay. no complaints
We were traveling with 4 adults and 2 kids so rented the 3 bedroom apartment. It was very large, perfect for our needs. Kitchenette with refrigerater was great to keep cold drinks available. Very clean. And the staff were very helpful and gave great information about places to eat and shopping areas. I will definitely stay here again. The parking at the hotel was limited and very small. Our SUV did not fit through the entrance. But there was a public parking garage with very reasonable daily rates that was a short walk down the street. So this was not a problem at all.
Proximity to city centre no bar
location: easy access to the centrre- attractive, well-appointed newly refurbished room with direct access to street. short on facilities - no bar, no obvious presence of staff on arrival - apart from helpful adnd attentive receptionist
Thought the location was excellent, staff were very helpful and the bathroom was lovely with a large comfortable bath. No complaints whatsoever
Nice Hotel and friendly staff but not really 4* standards. Parking was convienient and very central.
The comfortable room and the location in the centre of Bruges within easy reach of the market square and many restaurants.
Loved that in the apartment we were able to stay together as a family and still be so close to the city center...many times the more spacious the room, the farther from the action. Not so at the Hotel Aragon! Had a lovely stay, would have loved to have stayed longer...literally 2 minutes walk from the Brugge's lovely square. If you are driving a "people mover", you might want to consider alternatives to the hotel's parking (especially in the low season when parking may be available on the street). The hotel parking is very nice and well-protected, but getting into the extremely tight entrance is difficult at best! Was a great stay and will return each time I come to Brugge.
Overall the hotel was very clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room always had a lingering smell of cigarette smoke which meant that the windows had to be always left opened, because of this our sleep was disturbed by the noise of traffic on the road below our window.
Excellent accomodation, very good choice at breakfast. Large room with balcony (complete with table and chairs). Shower cubicle door did not seal at the bottom and flooded the floor!
The large sized room Being trapped in the front door system (I arrived late and the outer door opens to let you in, closes behind you but the inner door remains firmly shut, trapping you between.)
Clean, food excellent and staff helpful None
Free upgrade of the room, good wi-fi, breakfast, an excellent shower, free parking The receptionist who didn't use the previously made guarantee for payment, though I'd asked her to. So, the amount was blocked and the same amount charged.
Staff very friendly. Hotel position ideal. Interior of roomm and hotel excellent Slow service at check in. Not Asked if we wanted to eat at the hotel. Took 10 mins to check a table was available. Wine asked for was not in stock. Waiter did not move our wine from bar to dining rooom without asking. No side plates for bread. Lack of certain cutlery needed to eat meal with. No continuity of waiters. Waiter had to be asked to pour out the wine on all occasions. Not offered desert menu. Not offerd coffee. Side plates and knives missing from the table when given bread at the start of the meal.Could not order our food for the restaurant at the bar so ordered when we sat down. The food was absolutely excellent. The restaurant needs someone who checks everything all the time to make sure no detail is missing eg. We were not offered a second bottle of wine or asked if everything was ok. I am sure this is a problem that can be overcome with good in house training of staff who obviously were new to the work and not experienced waiters and witresses. This is meany to be constructive criticism and would not stop us staying with you again. Lovely new hotel.
Room size and facilities Not offered a room plus evening meal inclusive rate.
Rooms were good size, Internet worked well, and it has the potential to be a good hotel, when the hotel addresses the weaknesses in the daily servicing of the rooms, and ensuring that sink plugs do not get stuck in the closed position. Poor room service, towels were only hand size not normal size, failed to refill tea and milk in rooms, as well as bathroom shower gel, tissues etc. Sink plug got stuck and could not use sink in room during the first night. Overall, hotel did not live up to its 4star rating and cost. Not suitable for people without a car as it is out of town, and near a noisy motorway.
This hotel was beautiful inside and the room was comfortable and up to date. The staff were polite and able to speak many languages! It was also easy to find.We would love to stay there again! Thankyou
The interior design was excellent. The wet room very good and Reception extremely good. Best staff on the receptionist desk have ever come across. Nothing.
Everything was good, most things were excellent. The hotel is reasonably new so everything was clean and worked. Nothing against animals, but they do allow pets to stay in the ground floor rooms, but do not know which rooms, not too good for people with allergies.
Ubication. Room design and comfort. Beautiful hotel, a most enjoyable experience. Pillows too hard, more like square cushions than pillows in fact.
The service and attention to detail was outstanding. Nothing was to much trouble. The staff and owner were very friendly and we will be staying at this guest house again. It was wonderful.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were beautiful. The breakfast was delicious.
Beautiful surroundings; elegant house; tranquil courtyard to sit in;modern bathroom and all very clean and tasteful. Efficient hostess who speaks fluent English and French and was prepared to house our food in the refrigerator! You can help yourself to tea or coffee and make yourself at home. Red Michelin to consult! Perfectly situated for visiting Bruges with nearby underground parking... Very steep stairs so not suitable for young children or the elderly
The staff were very warm & made us feel very welcome. We loved the style of the house very traditional with modern luxuries. The breakfast was great every morning. We were made to feel very special & it felt very exclusive whilst still feeling comfortable & homely. A very unique place to stay. Wasn't a problem for us but the stairs were very steep to the rooms, but that is what you would expect with such an old house. Just wouldn't recommend for anyone elderly or with walking difficulties & don't get too drunk as you won't get up them ;-)
The house is lovely and the garden a great area to sit quietly in the city centre
The guesthouse quality was amazing, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. A magical place, highly recommended.
Quiet, peaceful location, beautiful room, friendly, thoughtful staff who were attentive but not overattentive. The wooden floors, though beautiful to look at, were not so good at muffling the footfall of other guests. The stairs to the rooms were very steep - not suitable for the elderly.
breakfast, staff, location, decor, open fire ,able to have use of kitchen would have liked full length mirror /dress mirror.it was a bit cold during the day
Excellent service, wonderful people in a very convivial environment, which gives you the impression of coming home. Rather than lots of hotels which are interchangeable, Number 11 is unique in both people and environment. Highly recommended. Nothing at all. One side note, please be advised that if you need to unpack your car, as we did, the roads of Bruges are very narrow indeed.
We absolutely adored our stay here. The pictures don't do it enough justice, the hotel is beautiful and our suite took my breath away. It was so nicely decorated, and pristine clean, just what we wanted! Sofia made us feel so welcome, she was very attentive and accomodating. Our rooms were tidied every day, which was a nice surprise. We didn't have the breakfast during our stay but i'm sure that would have been lovely too. The place is about ten minutes walk from the main square of Bruges, but the walk there is so nice that you don't notice the time flying by! We had an absolutely wonderful time there, I think we will find it very hard to find a place to beat it any time soon! I would most definitely recommend this hotel to anybody. The beds were very comfortable but the use of two single mattresses instead of one double mattress was a little annoying as one tends to sink into the space between the two. I think this may be a continental thing as we experienced the same thing in Brussels too. It was by no means a big issue, but is just something to think about.
Sofia who runs the bed and breakfast was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. The Junior sweet was spacious, tastely decorated (minimalistic) and comfortable. The centre of Bruges is a 10-15 minute walk from the property, which was convenient as there was free parking available at the property.
Sophia made us feel completely at home, the accommodation and facilites were excellent, and the food was outstanding. We were very happy here and are already planning to come back. Nothing at all to complain about, Maison Bousson was fantastic
Accommodation is new, fresh and very clean. Beautiful place, lots of personal touches and in room facilities. The owner is very friendly and personable without being over bearing. Accommodation is very private and spacious for an inner city location and a guest house. Breakfast is fab, unusual in a very good way, very satisfying (you won't need lunch) and very reasonably priced (under 20 euros p/p p/day) so well worth a try. Overall a real gem amid a lot of over priced old hotels and guest houses in the centre. Not really any negatives. It is a fair step into the centre so make sure your footwear is up to walking in but if you're relatively fit it's not an onerous walk and there's plenty of nice architecture to look at along the way.
We had a perfect welcome! The owners are friendly and dedicated people who arranged everything till the little details.
A good location only 10 mins walk from the centre of Bruge. Spacious and perfectly presented room. The only bad point was the weather was too cold to try the pool.
Freshly renovated, large Superior room, good quality facilities, good position in centre of town, friendly efficient staff. Baby crying all night; whilst not really the hotel's fault, was annoying. Car parking a bit restricted and expensive, shower leaked badly onto floor.
The location is excellent
Pool opening hours
The location was perfect, less than 100m from the main square. Nice clean rooms, nice breakfast too. Overall good impression.
Perfect location with very convenient underground garage. All staff members were friendly courteous and efficient. Lack of attention to detail in main restaurant. Tablecloths were not always clean and some of our food was served on chipped plates.
Kindness at the Reception desk My room was smelly, even though it was a non-smoking room. They should make sure that rooms don't smell funny.
Late arrival was no problem. Staff very efficient. Hotel very centrally located. Room very spacious and facilities were excellent - always nice to have tea/coffee making facilities. The thick bathrobes gave a feeling of luxury. There was nothing I didn't like.
Everything I really enjoyed it everything was good, location staff parking. It was all so easy. My only minor complaint was the Gymn was so small and the pool was small and cold!. Also I requested the jogging map from reception but was mazed that this did not contain any distances or scale. I would have expected it to be measured out in miles or KM.
the size of the room and how lose to the centre. i asked you to make the breakfast free and you told it is done... and you sent me email telling me the breakfast is free now.. but when i arrived to the hotel.. they told me is not inclouded and not free .. i called you several times about the situation but you did not make anything for me. so this situation fell me down.
There is no restuarant and staff weren't good at advising where to eat when they did recommend and we finally found the restuarant it was fully booked!!! The lack of parking facilities especially as a disabled driver was very inconvienient finally found somewhere which was a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. I wouldnt stay at the hotel again. Nor would i recommend it
We could not open the wardrobe doors without having to move an arm chair.
the welcoming staff amd the lovely room
Hotel decor is very nice, relaxed atmosphere and a good breakfast.
Friendly helpful staff. Excellent room and hot buffet breakfast.
Beautiful hotel with a luxury feel, very comfy bed and spacious bathroom.superb room. Breakfast was mediocre for a 4 star hotel, cold bacon and eggs. Unfortunately this hotel us located opposite a youth hostel so any rooms facing on to the street will be disturbed at allhours by the residents as we were.
Beautifully decorated, very clean & comfortable bedrooms & bath, very friendly & competent staff, good location, nice breakfast
Very comfortable, modern, light and bright, close to the centre, quiet, elegant.
Perfect location for Brugge sightseeing (2mins walk from Market Square), staff very helpful and friendly. We had an executive room which exceeded our expectations; as did rest of hotel. Onsite car park was ideal but has limitted spaces - so book early. Would definitely book this hotel if visitting Brugge again. Disturbed by noise (revellers) from street in early hours of morning on first night - second night ok - location of hotel more than compensated.
had a lovely peaceful room and the breakfast was good
room was beautiful, lovely garden. good location
An ideal location with very courteous staff and homely atmosphere. That it was only 3 nights.
Beautiful, old world rooms.
the location was great. the staff all spoke english, and the lady at reception was very helpful.
Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The woman at reception was amazing - very helpful and professional. Breakfast was excellent and rooms were beautiful.
When we asked for another room the receptionist was very responsive and moved us to another room with no problem. Our room was facing Market Square and bar of hotel is underneath as well so very noisy until 2am each night and construction starts at 7am nearby so unable to sleep
Location and breakfast quality No car parking available despite booking one of a limited number of spaces in advance. But we were room upgraded so that was good compensation. Underground public parking 300 metres is OK except for luggage .
During our stay my wife became ill and the staff contacted a local doctor that saw her immediately. This was a very nice service.
Lovely location and great breakfast Maids room quite basic for a 4 star hotel and noisy at times due to other guests in corridor.
It was near to the centre of Bruges. It was a historic building
Beautifoul, very very good Nothing
Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Room was excellent. Breakfast was delicious.
The beds are very comfortable and soft. The breakfast selection is good and diverse. The shared areas and the old building have a nice ambience and classical style. The hotel is situated very centrally so you are never more than 25 mins walk away Certain members of staff at the reception were getting by putting in the minimum required effort when handling questions and requests. Pro-active is not a word I would use. You can drop off suitcases but you have to put them (yourself) in an unattended, unlocked area, which was rather odd.
I found the staff very aatentive and polite. The hotel is quite opulent even though some of the rooms are hard to find.
A central location, well appointed, an excellent breakfast, relaxed. The high standards of cleanliness and comfort. Efficient staff. It played a great part in making our visit to Bruges a great success. A minor point worth considering - We would have liked some drawers in which to put our folded clothes. There was plenty of hanging space in the storage unit. Some of the staff could have looked a little happier.
Hotel was clean and just off Market square, very convenient to historical district. Our room had a terrible odor one of the days we were there. Smelled like sewer backup problem.
clean, friendly, efficient close to city sights
Fabulous room in the old part of the hotel, sumptuous decor and very clean - more 5star! We had upgraded and was worth it. Enormous double bed and beautifully soft and comfortable, in fact probably only the second most comfortable we've had in the world. Staff were very helpful, and all spoke fluent English, arriving on a Sunday they checked the restaurant in town was open and made our reservation whilst we toured the town. (excellent idea as it was fully booked later). Breakfast was plentiful and of a super standard - even the scrambled egg! Parking was easy and secure and €20 for 24 hours good value. The breakfast room was very hot. Be aware there is a youth hostel up the street and as it is a city hotel in an historic part of town there can be a little noise, this didn't bother us in the least, but it could.
i thought the hotel decor was exceptional for a city hotel beautifully appointed reception rooms there are two parts to the hotel and the second part would be slightly less impressive than the first older part but not a big issue otherwise lovely hotel great location
Stayed 3 nights in November 2010 for an average of 145€/night breakfast not included. Very nice modern hotel ideally located in downtown Bruges. Standard rooms are clean and spacious with an 'assembled' queen bed, an armchair, a desk, 2 closets, a full-sized bathroom with shower and bathtub. View on the canal for some rooms in the back building. Bar fridge & LCD TV. Lights turn on and off with the key card. Free wifi on request at the bar. Parking below the hotel building. Facilities include a restaurant for breakfast, a very cosy bar, a small gym, and a wellness center with sauna & hammam. Walking distance from main shopping streets, restaurants, and museums. The staff are extremely helpful and speak good English. Queen bed was in fact 2 single beds... Gym opens at 10:00am, way too late!
Beautifully grand hotel, immaculate throughout. Rooms were superb, décor, bathrooms, all Ist class Excellent breakfast, vast choice hot/cold, all served in very pleasant dining room. No bad points.
Unquestionably the cleanest, nicest, most accommodating, and all around best value of all the 4-stars I've stayed in over the last 2 months. This place is incredible. Everything was great
Staff was very helpful and efficient. Good beds, comfortable room with modern decor. Not everyone has a GPS. Mentioning the road works and the way to get to the hotel in the e-mail confirmation sent by the hotel would have been helpful. Fortunately I was warned by previous guests' comments.
Breakfast was very nice to start the day with. Nice to be in the town and watch the world go by when eating Breakfast. Shower head in the wet room was too high and could not be adjusted.
Perfect hotel if you visit Gent and Brugge by car. Rooms are very good, breakfast not the best ever but doable. There is free parking, good free wifi and easily accesable from the E40. Check in was extremely convient. Spa is not free according to the information book.
Nice staff, comfortable rooms, value for money
No remote control for TV in room, therefore couldn't watch tv late at night. Restaurant not open on Monday evenings. I arrived late and then had to go out to find a restaurant on a wet night Finally, there is building work adjacent to the hotel and loud noise from just after 7am in the morning!
Room lay out, easy to get to, friendly people, near town centre with lots of nice places to eat/drink! No internet (yet)
thye room was modern and comfortable with a very good shower
Location easy to find, vast parking, very clean room, free WiFi, good restaurant. WiFi not fully operational, a rain coat forgotten in the room has not been found later, which left a very bad feeling about my stay.
Poor finishing details to the room. Air conditioning did not work Staff on holiday, so there were no restaurant facilities
