breakfast was extremly good, very fresh and lots of choice. Good location for Northern Lights
I cannot say enough about the staff at the Hotel Ranga. Everyone made you feel like one of the family attentive to all your needs. THe front desk was specifically informative about day trips and restaurants. AND we saw the Northern Lights, beautiful We would have like more vegetarian options on the menu.
The room was really really nice- spacious yet cosy, and the only place in Iceland where we got a double duvet! It also conveniently had a hot tub right outside! The service we received was excellent, as was the breakfast. We sadly didn't see the Northern Lights here but watching shooting stars from the comfort of the hot tub was really quite cool. We could hear someone snoring in the next room! It wasn't so bad that it really disturbed us, it was just something that we noticed.
Clean, impeccable staff, friendly atmosphere, great restaurant, hot tubs, 1st northern lights Leaving
The whole thing! price and selection for dinner
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant was amazing - we enjoyed everything about our stay.
The ambience was very pleasant, and we enjoyed the spectacle of the volcano from our room. The staff were very courteous and professional and friendly. The room had all we could ask for.
It is a classy hotel in a remote location For a hotel of this star rating I found it surprising there was no facility to make a drink in the room. Also disappointed there was no seat outside my room on the patio area. I would not regard this hotel as 1 of the most Special in the world as they proclaim they are
The staff was friendly, I got an upgrade on the room free of charge, the music was exellent (soft classic and not too loud). The area between the house and the river is a wasteland. Could easily be made into something beautiful without blocking the view of the river. I don't like sitting on my bed while watching TV. The house is not cared for on the outside
Poor value for money poor value for money
Very modest, quite smelly accomodation; maybe pricy looking at the quality. Note that if you have a rented car, there is not much point in staying there if you don't have a 4X4 jeep, because you cannot go further to the F208 or F26 roads and there are no bus stopping there to landmannalaugar.
close to Landmannalaugar, the Hekla mountain and Stöng small rooms and noisy
One of the things I like is that you have a small patio - private - outside your room and the common facilities are also very nice.
Clean, good location and excellent food
Modern, clean , airy feel to the hotel.Scandinavian style rooms. Excellent shower. LOcation close to the Golden Circle. Food excellenet but limited choice.Lack of tea\coffee making facilities innthe room. Staff at breakfast surly and uncommunicative. Lack of facilities in Fludir itself whicj=h meant you were tied tot he hotel faciliries.
very good staff, beautiful room, good food, convenient location, very very beutiful pictures in the reception and corridor
Good dinner, helpful staff, wonderful open space outdoor next to the room
Good location to explore different directions. Charming atmosphere for a business-style hotel.
Our car broke down, and the staff were very helpful !!!
nice hotel in a good location... 2 hot-pots putside (with 38 oC water)... pity a bit that breakfast is not included in price... other than that no issues at all... recommended hotel...
