Quality/price ratio, restaurant
Free wireless internet access and a rather nice bed. Room quality in general and especially the bathroom was sub par.
The staff were extrenely helpful in all my requests They were very good answering ll my requests in English.
wonderful breakfast. central location. friendly staff. Terribly hot in the room - no air-con, no fan! Windows are low and do not have a lock, so you cannot keep windows open unguarded / at night if you have children in the room. in general the windows are a major safety risk for kids. The nearby church bell and trafffic are loud and you need ear plugs to sleep
proximity to the ferry Women who worked at the front desk were crabby and not helpful
It was easy to find and located right next to the port, for our trip to Aero the next morning, after a long journey from Manchester, England. The room was decorated in an interesting, cosy style, not like a business hotel, and was quite big. It was a short walk from the station, we ate in the hotel and a very short walk to the port the next day, so we were very pleased about this. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a nice atmosphere at the hotel. The breakfast was lovely and so was the evening meal. Compared to England the restaurant was very expensive, but we found similar prices on Aero, so this is not a reflection on the hotel but on the price of eating out in Denmark in general!
Location and authentic style Be sure that they give you a room in their main building, and not in their annex, it is doll, no minibar, and you get the feeling of living in a 2 star b&b.
Very functional and welcoming. ------- all the staff were helpful without being too officious. ------ the hotel itself was quaint having all the comfort needed and scrupulously clean. Nothing springs to mind
Very nice hotel with considerable charm. Great location, near the harbor and the attention to detail is very accurate. Buffet breakfast very rich and high quality.
The hotel was easy to find in a semi-rural ituation overlooking the fjord/bay. Teh restaurant had a good menu, home cooked to order, adn the roomw as comfortable and clean with an en-suite bathroom with shower. The area is very quiet, with a minimal number of cars passing in a 40kmph zone. There is a jetty for pelasure boats about 100m away from teh hotels front door
Hotel was excellent and very interesting historically. Owner/ proprietor courteous and helpful.
I liked that the room was on the side of a beautiful manor house. Our family room also had a small kitchen with a fridge and a stove, but we did not use the kitchen. The rooms (living room and bedroom) were full of houseflies. The heat in the room was also set too high (25 C, which was about 77 F) but we could not figure out how to turn it down, and we were afraid that opening the windows would let more flies in, as there were stables close by. Our stay would have been lovely if there were no flies and normal room temperature.
Fabulous history, isolated and remote location...a true getaway, this is a genuine castle and staff were very open and friendly. We had the run of the place and interesting to explore old rooms and areas of the castle unfortunately being the only guests in off season meant reduced services...the restaurant was closed while we were there (although this allowed us to go and explore other small towns for dinner)
Clean room, great breakfast and opposite the railway. Danish guests are not friendly - is it not the Danish culture to greet others?
Privacy and comfort with a lift. Difficult to find checkin hotel, 10 minute walk from Garni.
