The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were spacious and very clean, very good location.
Free airport pickup is a big plus. Arrival in a new country with the transportation issue solved sets a great tone for the trip.
Kind, accommodating. Clean Too many stairs
Cleanliness and friendliness of staff Nothing
It is a very small pretty homelike hotel with everything you may need during your stay. Breakfast could be more diverse.
The staff did everything they could to meet our needs. We missed our plane to Vilnius & took a later plane, so we sent the hotel an e-mail saying that we would not be there until midnight. It's a very small hotel, but one of the staff waited up for us & got us settled before he left. The breakfasts were good. The room was comfortable & nice. The location was terrific. We were inside the old part of Vilnius & could walk to many of the interesting sights. The stairway is quite steep. We asked in advance for a room on the 2nd floor (which they call the first floor) facing the courtyard, & they did give us that room. But anyone who has trouble climbing steep stairs should not stay here.
Lovely house well restored. Lovely courtyard Breakfast was limites. An omelette (delicious) was provided only after asking. No menu or choice otherwise. A very cold atmosphere.
The hotel is very well located in the old town with short walking distance to the main attractions and plenty of restaurants nearby. Outside in the yard are parking places. Breakfast was fine and staff very friendly and helpful. Wireless internet access is free of charge and the connection was very good and easy to connect to. The room was spacious and well furnished. The room we did have was without air condition and the ventilation was limited during our stay. Not any problem except in high summer.
Very good location, clean and bright
Gierdra was both a very pleasant, efficient receptionist and a wonderful source of helpful information for the tourist. For example, she volunteered that there was a free concert during our stay. The breakfast included eggs made to order. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The stairs are too steep. Given the stairs, I think the staff should carry the luggage up and down. Someone (like an elderly person) is going to trip or slip and hurt themselves.
This is a wonderful and comfortable place with silent and peaceful atmosphere. The real walls and frescos of 17 centuries in our room are fantastic. I will be glad to come back again.
Large bathroom with heated floor, very convenient. spacious room and high ceiling. nice wooden floor. old wooden ceiling. parking in th courtyard. most of all - the location of the guesthouse. Bad idea with wireless internet - only one hotelguest at a time can use it, otherwise there is a message of overuse. When I was booking via website I had information that kitchen annex is available for guestes which is not true. reception closes early, but the owner lives upstairs.
Extremely thin walls.
Comfortable, full of character. Well-heated and resourced.
The hotel was warm and welcoming, staff pleasant. Very pleased at the convenience of free internet in lobby. The double room was very small. The bath had no shelf or hooks for clothes.
The hostel is quite good, rooms are comfort and clean.
close to city center, free parking, friendly & English speaking staff nothing
It is a nice place to visit Vilnius, not at all far from the centre. The rooms are basic but clean. At the time the weather in Vilnius was hot and therefore we needed to sleep with open windows, but the noice from the street was terrible.
the easy to use of everything ; especially the kitchen was nice to use for diner ... I found it funny that there was no cleaning of the bedrooms during 4 days, no even garbage removal from bedrooms
Near to city centre, friendly stuff ,nice breacfast. Credit card not acceptable
Good location, great value
Good location for the city and the train station. Good breakfast. Staff aren't always around - very much a B&B, rather than a hotel, but this is reflected in the price.
Free parking behind the house (You have to ask before), Wifi internet, location in centre of town, clean room. In October 2010 there was only payment in cash, no cards at all! The windows to the main street are poor, too much noise comes all the night into the room. In October it was a little cold in family room, only 1 half-working heater on under windows.
staff very helpfull, clean, central, just a bit difficult to find had we not got taxi from airport other than that no complaints at all
location, breakfast in the room, lovely staff, state of the entrance and the backyard
It was a bad surprise that the hotel didn't provide a shampoo and a shower gel. Lucky enough we had them with us, so there was no problem to take a shower. But, you know, it's rather frustrating. The other thing - we ordered a double room, but actually our room was for 3 persons, so 1 bed stayed free. And the others were maybe for friends, not the couple - they stayed 3 meters far from each other. So, we had to sleep separately. And the final thing - the room was quite cold. It was about +5 on the street and no warm air conditioning or the central heating.
Good location - just a few minutes' walk to the Gates of Dawn and the bus/train station. Tram stop just across the street. Breakfast is served in your room. If possible, pick the room facing the courtyard which is much quieter and has been recently renovated. Staff are helpful and give useful information. We had actually lived in two rooms. As we got back from the Curonian Spit, we were given a double with a bigger balcony. But unfortunately, that room is on the main street Sodu, so there were quite a lot of noises at night.
good no shampoo!
Nice place, center of the city
The kindness of the staff. I had to move to Aušros vartui from Sodu 4. The street noise (train and havy cars) was really terrible (because I can`t sleep without fresh air).
friendliness of staff
The smell in the room
In its location, ambience and architecturally, the Florens blends in with the old charm of the Old City. It couldn't be better situated, being only a couple hundred meters from the bus and railway station and the same distance from the heart of the old city. It's controlled access outer gate leading into its courtyard, the cobblestone street on which it is situated and its older, heritage look both inside and out endow it with the kind of eastern European charm one would hope for. The interior ambience is simple, quiet---indeed, bordering on that of a cloister, since it was virtually silent and no other guests were visible, save fleetingly. So, I had a restful night's sleep each of the nights I was there. It is incomprehensible to me how mentioning anything I didn't like about the hotel could not be construed as a complaint--especially if it's about service, since the common denominator in dislikes and complaints is dissatisfaction and a suggestion that something be done about it--"complaint" being voiced dissatisfaction. Still, I suppose that "complaint" may more strongly suggest "ad hominem", interpersonal and subjective issues. That said, it should be mentioned that the reception staff fellow, "Otto", provided very helpful, well-informed and courteous service. Another staff member did not, and basically treated me more like an inmate to be peremptorily scolded than as a paying guest. Also, note: no female visitors allowed.
