Enjoyable mountain getaway.
Great location at the Hermon, peaceful and fairly quiet.
The staff were very obliging and went out of their way to provide an alternative for a service that was not available
The staff was friendly. The breakfast was very good. There was a nice lobby bar with good food that was very inexpensive when you pay at checkout in US Dollars (dinner for our whole family for 2 nights was less than $90 including dessert). The pool was nice. Beautiful views. We stayed in the family cottage. There were a lot of bugs in my room. One crawled right out of a blanket as soon as I pulled it out of the closet. The bathroom had a horrible mildew stench that returned even after they cleaned the bathroom. It was disappointing for the money we paid (about $350 a night) There are a lot of steps and hills to get from the lobby/dining room to the cottage, this would not be good for older people. Basically, if you like camp and don't mind bugs, you'll be happy here. It's hard to find hotels in Israel that will accomodate two adults and three children in a single unit, which is the main reason why we booked the hotel.
The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. The hotel is located close to Mt Hermon and can be a good base for trips in Golan. If you want to have a great dinner, try the Undefined restaurant in Majdal Shams. The food was great and the staff very nice.
The bathroom was very musty and had a bad smell with no way to air it out (a tiny window and no exhaust fan)
