Best location and best skiing in Utah. Food is way over priced but who cares. Its all about the skiing. Will stay here again but will pack some food. Had so much snow road from salt lake was closed had the place with 20'' powder.
Snowbird arbitrarily cut key exhibition hours for our convention without apology or compensation, which meant lost sales $$$$ big time. Be very careful about making sure terms are confirmed in writing if you are thinking about having an event here.
Took a chance on hitting the snow just right...that was great. The rest was not so good. Mega $$$ for food and services. Will go back to Utah but not at the Cliff.
The hotel is nice it is very interesting and the location and skiing is some of the best in the world. The rooms are nice but very plain food choices are limited but good you don t come here to eat you come to ski. My only complaint is the prices are outrageous you have no choice if you want to stay in the canyon so you pay a premium for everything. I go every other year and love the place and just grin and bare it.
We were here for a summer meeting and stayed on as long as possible for some family time. This is a beautiful resort and we enjoyed every minute. The mountain hiking is splendid, the pool is delightful and there are lots of fun things for visitors of all ages. It is a good idea to take it easy the first day or two until the adjustment to altitude is made.
VERY NICE DESIGN BUT LACKS COZY FIRPLACES FOR WINTER COMFORT. THE RESTAURANT ARE NOT OPEN FROM ALL DAY AND ONE COULD ENJOY THEMSELVES IF THERE BARS HAD BETTER HOURS TO SERVE THE GUEST. VIEW IS OUTSTANDING, WITH GREAT SKI IN SKI OUT LOCATION.
Service was great and there is so much to do right out the front door.
My wife and I stayed @ the cliff last week. We were very happy w/ our room. It was clean and had everything we needed. The room had a coffee maker and small fridge and humidifier which we needed everynight. I suggest that if you stay @ the cliff that you hit a grocery store before you get up to the pass. There is a small store @ the cliff that is big $$$$. The hotel is very tricky to get around. It seems like all the amenties share a different floor. You go from one floor to another and each side of the bldg. The food is just ok. The nightlife in Utah is awful. Go just for the skiing. With all the alcohol laws,it's no Breck or Whistler for sure. If it has'nt snowed in more then 5 days do not go to Snowbird. Everyting gets packed out and bumped. You'll be riding groomers w/ million other people. We found that Solitude was a much better day w/ no snow. I've been alot of places and when the snow is good, Utah is the place. With out snow, it's hard to get what Snowbird really is.
The Cliff is a beautiful facility in a fabulous location. Rooms are first rate, great beds, TV, etc. Had read other reviews stating problems with WiFi and food services and found those to be on the mark. WiFi was down and I get the impression that this is often the case. Restaurants were open odd hours if at all. The Mexican restaurant served decent food if you could get served. I watched a long line of folks wait 30-45 minutes to be seated when well over half of the tables in the place were empty. Staff was indifferent, bordering on surly. Many places in Utah seem to have a problem with professionalism in the hospitality biz--this was a prime example. There is a reason they sell Ramen noodles and microwave burritos in the gift shop but bring your own --outlandish prices and inexplicably odd hours plague that establishment as well. Would probably go back but would be better prepared to deal with these annoyances in an otherwise fabulous place.
We really loved our stay at Snowbird. The room was perfect with a lovely view to the mountains. Loved the afternoon wine tasting, massages at the Cliff spa, sushi at Aerie. Only complaint would be that there is a lot of walking to get from the lodge to the ski area, the Cliff spa, etc. But they offer free shuttles anytime so even that is really not a problem. We can't wait to go back next year!
I have spent 4 nights at this hotel during each of the past 4 winters. As far as a pure skiing destination, you could not ask for a better location. Having walk on access to Snowbird and Alta is all a skier could really ask for. If you're lucky enough to get a dump during your stay, you'll be the only one on the mountatin as the canyon road is often subject to closure and avalanche work. The rooms are clean. Housekeeping is excellent and dependable. The pool and hot tub are a great way to apres-ski (**BYOB as long as it's not glass! (The Cliff lodge does not allow this)). Restaurant options are decent in Snowbird Village, but don't expect much nightlife or happy hour. It's all about the snow! Definitely will be back.
Snowbird is beautiful. The Lodge is right in the middle of it. This is more of a condo lodge. It's for skiers that are there to ski.
It's a great place to stay. Not ski in/out but close enough. Kitchenettes in rooms are useful. Best pow in the US!
Room very nice. Parking was awful - no air conditioning in rooms (did not know ahead of time) - construction going on & if you had patio door open, next door can come right in. Fumes & noise from parking lot construction constant. No restaurant in building & vending machines limited. I would not stay at same facility, again. There was also a bike race our 1st day of occupancy & no place to park & mountain road was closed from 11:30 to 2:30. I was told this when I checked in a 10 p.m. the night before! I could have planned my day differently, had I known.

we liked the location of the hotel and once we got a room things began to improve. when we checked in they assigned us a room that was occupied. our keys failed to work and it was not a good experience.

The rooms were spacious, clean, well designed and comfortable. Loved everything about the rooms. I would stay in the facility over and over again because of the rooms & facilities. The check-in process took me a half hour even though I had already booked online. The staff was disorganized and poorly trained with the check in procedure. They were dressed like they were part of the cleaning crew. Granted I checked in after 10pm. The breakfast is chaotic. The space where food is served is very small. Dishes were at the wrong end of the service area and so people were going every which way. Food was good. Flow is poorly planned.
The overall look of the hotel, lounge & rooms was very nice. The beds were comfortable. The rooms are quiet. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was tasty. I didn't like that we had to wait for more food to be cooked and tables to be wiped off before we sit and eat.
Our family of 5 fit easily into our hotel room. The beds were comfortable, and there was no fighting from my kids (because everyone got a bed). My kids loved the pool. Although it was quite small, it was big enough for them to play around and have fun. The bathroom was super clean. The shower even looked brand new or unused. The subway tile was sparkling white with no water marks or mildew. The breakfast bar was quite crowded, and I had to wait 20-30 minutes to make a waffle for my kids (there were only 2 waffle makers, and a long line of guests all wanting waffles). The staff did seem quite busy at replenishing the food as it was getting devoured as soon as they brought it out. It just didn't seem like they were set-up to accomidate that many guests on a busy Saturday morning. My only suggestions would be to add a few waffle makers, and more food on busy mornings.
Upon arrival, we had to clean our own room... housekeeping never did.
The price was good. The room was dirty dried food on table... hair in the bathroom. Door didn't open properly.

Friendly staff, Washer and Dryer access. breakfast was available although the bread was dry and the milk wasn't cold there were items in the mini fridge from previous occupants, shower head was crusty, and the whole place was muggy and stuffy for October...
Room was clean, beds comfortable, wifi worked well. All in all, a decent hotel for the price. The only issue I had was the desk chair was stuck on the lowest height which made it hard to work at the desk. The staff told me all of the chairs had this problem.
First is hard to find ( I did reservations on line) then finally I got there, they were having problems with their key system. So someone had to open the door for me then I wanted to go out with no keys yet so I had to get someone again to open the door for me. I'm at the room then I want to turn the heater on but didn't work so they came to check it out , basically they just come to the room to tell me what I already knew. I ask for an other room and their answer was the were booked out and the couldn't do anything else for me, it was a cold night. Also I notice that the sprinkler system was leaking water in to the room

Keith at Getaroom was very helpful in getting me and my fiancé to a different hotel when Kayak completely and utterly messed up. The Ramada Draper had never heard of me, was fully booked, and never received my payment. The staff were rude and standoffish, and told me it was my fault. I called kayak and was passed on to Getaroom, which after around half an hour of inane marimba music on repeat, were able to put me in touch with one of their managers. While I was waiting in the lobby, another person came in who had also booked a room at the Ramada Draper with Kayak, and was also told their reservation, and their money, was no where to be found. The manager at Getaroom very kindly put me in a nearby hotel of a different franchise at no extra cost, which was absolutely fine, but the management of the entire situation was diabolical, and clearly far more than a single freak accident.
Nothing, other than the hotel they transferred us too. No hot water available, dirty room, window that did not lock. There is a door where anyone could come in as they pleased! Unsecure place felt unsafe!!!
The clerks registering guests were extremely personable and friendly. Made me feel right at home and went out of their way to see to my needs.

The staff in the evening were wonderfully helpful and accommodating. They think of anything skiers need and have it there. Even if you don't ski, this is a great place to stay. And, they're cookies are awesome! We didn't want to rent a car or drive to the mountains. They have a shuttle that will take you anywhere in a 5 mile range and the morning driver is awesome. We were skiing Big and Little Cottonwoods, so the 960 and 962 buses stop at Sandy Civic Center which is about 3 miles away. Each day we took the shuttle to and from the Bus depot, the ride is @ 45 minutes to the resorts. If you want to head into SLC, you can take the hi-speed train from the same station. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping around the area. We walked to many places. It's safe, clean, well located, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
A bit dated, but very comfortable. Clean and nicely equipped. No signage on building made it difficult to locate. Apparently new signs have been ordered and will be up soon.
Fridge and Micro., chair & ottoman, large armoire with safe. Updated Bathroom & furniture. Comfy bed. Clean. Convenient office area. Room was nicer than expected. Breakfast was very bad - few choices & everything gone before end of BF time period. Hot coffee/tea not available in lobby after 9AM. No table in room. There is a desk though, and some space on top of the large TV unit.
Our room was clean, and most things met my expectations. The water temperature in the shower was TERRIBLE. After adjusting the temperature to a comfortable level, it would fluctuate to very hot, then back to where it had been, then to very cold, etc. About 25% of the time it was almost scalding hot, and about 25% of the time it was freezing cold. I talked to the front desk about it three times. They said they had been having issues with the boiler, new plumbing, etc. Showering took about 50% longer than it should have because I couldn't stand under the water about 50% of the time.

We were told ok, after breakfast. After breakfast, we were told we would have to wait until after 3. We never got to change rooms. Not the quality we thought we were getting. I think the property recently came under new ownership...

Location good, rooms good; inexpensive and clean Hot tub and juice dispensing machine (at breakfast) broken for days and staff totally helpless and ineffective at addressing -- my suggestion that they go and buy juice in bottles for breakfast was met with nervous smiles... Probably not their fault (i.e. management source of problems...) but they are the representatives of the business and were not impressive.
Nice looking facility, reasonable rates. I didn't appreciate waiting for 5 minutes in an otherwise empty lobby to be noticed at the front desk (with Nicklodeons Good Burger on the lobby big screen - not very professional) when the 20 something year old guy did show up he wasn't very attentive to his job. Some of the time the guy was watching the show on the tv behind me instead of completing my check in (VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.) I was the only one checking in, but that shouldn't matter. Fast, courteous service is the simple expectation. I didn't experience any of those traits. The shower in my ground floor room took 10+ minutes to get warm and the drain was so slow the tub was over half full of cold water by that point. There were about 8 cars in the lot.....not that many people taking showers all at once, in the early evening, to explain the cold water issue. Once the water was warm, the tub still wouldn't drain fast enough to avoid eventually overflowing, so I had to turn the water off and wait for it to completely drain before I could fully rinse off. The shower and tub spigot weren't totally secure to the wall either it's like the construction in the remodel wasn't great quality because after those discoveries I was noticing details I usually wouldn't bother to pay attention to. The rooms decor was nice, and the price was okay, but I was hoping for a pleasant, surprise new favorite, but got the cold hand of disappointment instead. I'm not even interested in giving it a second try....which makes me sad because the pictures showed so much promise.
We found the room to be good enough quality. You could tell they've been updating, and there was a few things that still needed TLC however the room was clean, the beds were cozy, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast in the AM is also a perk. Location was okay, however at night it you could definitely hear traffic, and it really didn't apprear to be the best neighborhood.
The breakfast was amazing! Best hotel breakfast I have ever had. The pool didn't seem very clean and wasn't very warm.

Cosmetics of the building were nice. The operations. No daily room service. The front desk staff member asked questions that did not make a good impression. It felt as if I was being interrogated. Copy of ID's for whoever is staying isn't good business. It makes the consumer feel untrustworthy and gives off the impression as that as well. The staff needs a better leader or a better business plan.
Amenities were all inclusive. The decorating in rooms was nice and granite counters gave cleaner feel. A handle bar was missing from shower and part of shower head that lies flush to the wall was disconnected.
The staff was nice, the room was very clean, the coffee was good, we appreciated the experience. They even provided a roll away bed for the 7 yr. old child in our family group: Senior mother, adult daughter and son, and daughter's 7 yr.old daughter. Nothing.
20-25 minute drive to Snowbird ski resort. Very convenient to tons of shopping and restaurants too. Breakfast included boiled egg and bacon along with usual continental breakfast items. Very affordable.
Nice place to stay, for taking a chance on a last minute booking. Appreciated having the indoor pool, with children and cousins on a cold day - it was a hit!
The location is close to the Events Complex where we attended a show as vendors. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast room was always too crowded for comfort. The room door would not latch on it's own. Letting the door shut on it's own wasn't enough. A good push or tug was needed to lock the door. From the Interstate a U-turn is required to get to the hotel. It's not easy when pulling a trailer or driving a larger vehicle.
The rooms were very clean. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was really yummy. My kids loved the pool. Free WiFi is always good. The beds were horrible!! The mattresses are so old, they're sagging in the middle.
90% of normal expectation for a hotel met. Coffee machine didn't get clean 3 out of 9 nights.

No air conditioning - only the fan was working. It was doable so I didn't complain until I checked out. They were very appologetic and seemed anxious to get it fixed.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was not ready. It's in the middle of a renovation and you can tell they are trying to hold on to the 3 star rating; which it is not right now. I rarely provide reviews but i can tell you they are trying to be a nicer hotel but they just aren't there. For example, one of the party forgot a toothbrush and almost all other hotels i stay in offer a complimentary one. This hotel told us it's $3 at the little store in the lobby. Ridiculous. IMO they are simply riding their name 'Coutyard by Marriott' and just aren't cutting the mustard.
We were happy with the hot breakfast. The manager reception In the evenings was a welcome surprise. The space in the room, a king suite, was nice but would have been nice to have more than one chair at the table. The pool seemed to have too much chlorine.
Very helpful staff, including the GM, who did his best to resolve our problem - booking.com sent a reservation for a wrong room to the hotel. Great breakfast and after-ski snacks, pool and hot tub, good accommodations. 30 mins to Alta.

It was nice and new and a had a lot of room with a couch in my room. Nothing. It was a great place to stay.
Rooms were clean and recently remodeled. Decent breakfast. Room was not ready when we arrived. A very frustrating experience as it took us over an hour to switch to not once but TWICE. We booked a king whiich apparently they did not have ready when we arrived (or any king room at all for that matter). An ill-prepared staff who didn't know how things ran. The hallway still smelled of cigarettes.
It was mentioned on the signup page there is a complimentary fitness access. Upon arrival I had learned that the membership was no longer offered. This information could have been updated in the website and may be reflected on the pricing as well
King beds were sold out, so they upgraded is to a suite. Very clean big room. So nice that I booked again on kayak for a 2nd night for the same low price while standing at the lobby desk. Employee said it was no problem to keep us in our current suite. Very satisfied with our stay. Minor observations: bed was too firm, but plenty of pillows to help. Other guests smoked and pulled chairs under front check-in area until after midnight. Just a weird scene as the first impression for the hotel. They were nice though.
