free internet, free parking, not expensive it was hard to find the place for non local persons.the address "Kašperské Hory srni" brought me to another location 14km distant.it is better to omit from the information Kašperské Hory or to add the coordinate point!
The general atmosphere about the place and fabulous breakfasts, good parking and swimming pool Even in August the room was a little cold (being in the mountains) and though a little heating came on during the day it was not sufficient to make the otherwise excellent room feel 'cosy'.
No non-smoking rooms - the room smells. The terrace and restaurant was rented for "gypsy party" over the saturdays night - very noisy music and party sounds till 5am in the morning. Hotel staff did not announce it. Excuse and symbolic discount was not relevant compensation for sleepless night. Very bad experience.
Lovely hotel, fully re-furbished and modernised. Right on main town square but very quiet and relaxing. Staff very welcoming, not much English spoken, but with a little German everything was understood!
We were surprised to find such a nice hotel in such a remote location. By Czech standards the staff was very friendly. The included breakfast was average, but the lunches and dinners were quite good and very reasonably priced. It is very family-oriented and almost everyone there had kids. The playroom/lounge was a much-appreciated feature when we were tired from playing outdoors in the snow but not quite ready to settle back into our room. The pool & changing areas were clean and bright. Although the food in the restaurant was really good, it was much too salty. Walking from the back of the hotel across a parking lot through the snow and ice to get to the pool while carrying 2 small children wasn't easy.
Pool was good, evening meal (paid extra) was great, staff very friendly. Kasperske Hory has a few restaurants and bars, which was more than we expected. Did not like that the Royal suite had a split double bed with separate duvets (not so romantic for a romantic weekend!). And it is a family hotel, so there were noisy kids running past our room and up and down the stairs to breakfast at 7.30am! Could be solved by specifying a room allocation away from the 1st floor hall, this is a pretty big hotel.
lovely atmosphere, staff very accommodating, ideally located. nice swimming pool, and most of all we could take our dog... no
Secluded, quiet location. Hotel was nicely appointed and clean. Excellent breakfast. Lovely location about 1 km from the village. Hotel receptionist, although most pleasant, spoke neither English nor German. There seemed to be no way to get information about local buses or recommendations on hiking trails unless you got it in Czech. Several minor annoyances with the bathroom plumbing -- water temperature unpredictable and uncontrollable, shower head mount dysfuntional, shower stall door stuck in the closed position. Again, there was no remedy for any of this unless you spoke Czech. In a tourist area, almost on the German border, one could expect more from a three-star hotel. To be fair, we were there in mid-June, and hotel may have more linguistic facility once the high season arrives.
The accomodation was very basic but had a nice contemporary design and excellent cleanliness. No hairdryer in the room.
it was very quiet out of skiing season, as is located at the top of a ski resort, which wasn't mentioned on the description, it was described as being in a national park.
Excellent and friendly staff The coffee was not hot and tasted strange. Only 1 set of keys was provided but there were 2 occupants.
